World War II 4WD Tour from Prague with Lunch & Beer

Pleasant surprise.

I have lived in Ustecky Region many years. I thought that I have know every place in my homeland, but I was wrong. The guide showed a lot of places which I haven’t know exist. Knowledge of guide was huge about local history and the evolution of nature. Narration of guide was interesting and attractive. I couldn’t stop listening. I will look forward to the next tour from company Offroadsafari.

An unconventional trip to the former Mordor

The trip is interesting. It's good that Offroadsafari is developing tourism in places where people would not have thought of going voluntarily a few years ago, but which is now gradually returning to the people. The bunker presented is actually a factory cellar converted into a makeshift war shelter, unfortunately presented practically as it was after years of disuse and filled with all sorts of junk from communist relics to old found ammunition. The excursion of the mining machines was a bit disappointing, it was more like a trip to their scrap yard, the machines in question are no longer working but are dismantled. The racist insertions into an otherwise interesting storytelling were disappointing.

Fun and educational!

The WWII themed trip in the Most District was fun, educational and I already know it wasn't my last trip with Offroad Safari!

Just Book It!

This was a lot of fun. I won't spoil the surprises but for my son and husband who are war buffs, this was an incredible experience full of educational sites. Martin goes out of his way to ensure that you will both have fun and experience a lot of interesting sites. Just Book It! You wont regret it.

The best of

It was a unique trip to places I didn't know about, even though I'm a local. The history that breathed on me left beautiful memories for a long time. And the trip also made me think again about 1938, whether the nation should have defended itself or not... The trip was very successful and the company Offroad Safari are professionals. Thanks. Wow! This was day with crew of well educated and skilled people. They prepare small over-land trip with offroads - it was full of info and amazing stories. We love it and we would like to go also the rest of their trips soon!

A full day trip takes you back to 2nd world war - interesting tour back to the days when the region was strategical source for the Nacis. You will get to know how they defended the factory and how they treated the workers there.

A great discovery of Czech history

It was an great experience. The guide was great, passionate about history, his country, the nature/environment, way of life.... It was perfect for me, because is only one day I learned a lot about WwII, but also about Czech history, people, traditions. The sites we visited were great, the lunch at the restaurant also (filet mignon mmmmh), the ride in 4x4 also Once again thank you, keep your passion and continue to share it. Julien.

Eye opening experience.

Extremely friendly and knowledgeable guide and driver. Showed us interesting structures, relics and other items from WWII. Learned a lot about impacts to Czechoslovakia in WEII. I would highly recommend this tour.

Great Day on a trip trhough grim history

Great tour. Aimed at a avery instersting period of local history in North Bohemia (Most area) but not only that. The overall feeling is like being on a very relaxed trip with a buddy, who just happens to be a real professional guide and a history / local afficionado! You get loads of inforamtion not only on the WWi topic but whole of a local history but are not overloaded and the whole trip has a pleasant pace and tempo. There are places you do not know these are there even when you lived in the vicinity for ages and you get the chance to visit and discover those. Fasicinating! Thank you Martin, great job.

Great experience!Our guide Martin Bares took us on a private tour around Litvinov and it's war history.One of the best tours we've ever done.If you like 2nd.World War(and muddy offroading on top of it:-D) don't hesitate and hop on! WWII tour exceeded all expectations!

The WWII Off-Road day tour from Prague was phenomenal! I purchased it as a surprise for my husband who is a fan of military history. I am not a big fan, but ended up absolutely loving this tour! The owner of Off Road Safari and our guide, Martin, is incredibly knowledgeable and has done extensive research on the events prior to, during, and after WWII. He's also from the area and knew about some hidden spots that others would never know existed. He was a great guide and we thoroughly enjoyed the entire tour. The tour also included lunch at a local restaurant that was the best Czech food we had during our entire 4 days in the Czech Republic. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, even those who may not be huge military or WWII enthusiasts.

Truly fascinating experience

Not knowing what to expect exactly we set off & upon arrival Martin showed us underground bomb shelters from both WW11 & the cold war era. Then we traveled by 4x4 to visit & inspect other war sites around the area, along with many anecdotes from the war years. Martins detailed research & his passion for the area's history was most impressive, as were the many facilities he was able to show us. Was also very interesting to get an understanding of the war years from this different perspective. If you are looking for an interesting & absorbing tour as an alternative to the usual, this ticks the boxes! Thanks Martin, an enjoyable day!

WWII tour review

No complaints about the tour at all, Martin, the founder of Off Road Safari is a very knowledgeable person not only in regards to the WWII tour but also about the area in general, I believe he would be able to answer most if not all of your questions. Lunch was terrific and the collection Martin has amassed on display in the factory’s bomb shelter is most intriguing, especially the caps used for anti-tank mines by the Wehrmacht which Martin would very likely show and explain. Martin is also a very friendly person so getting along with should not be a problem at all!

He is obviously passionate about history and furnished original documents for viewing and showed us various historical places in the area. We enjoyed a traditional Czech lunch as well. Keep in mind that it is over an hour's drive to the tour via private car however, the countryside is beautiful and worth the trip if you are interested in the history of the Czech role in WWII .</p>

<p>Great tour for WWII enthusiasts. My 22 yr old and 20 yr old sons both thoroughly enjoyed the tour activities and sights. Martin our tour guide and the owner of the tour company is passionate and knowledgeable and enjoyed sharing his enthusiasm for WWII activities in the Czech Republic with us. Getting to the tour site was an easy 1.5 hr drive through the Czech countryside. It enhanced our trip getting to see the countryside and visit where there were no other tourists. Definitely would recommend the tour for WWII enthusiasts and those that want an interesting and unique experience a short drive outside of Prague. It is cooler in the mountains so dress in layers.</p>

Krásný inspirující den!

Bylo to skvělé. Zjistili jsme, že v našem okolí je strašně moc míst které neznáme. Zbytky věcí o kterých si myslíte že je tam někdo pohodil mohou být i letadla, kus zdi může být kus pracovního nebo koncentračního tábora. Instruktor nám poskytl strašně moc zajímavích informací, že když to slyšíte, tak se vám ta informace zaryje do paměti, protože je opravdu zajímavá. Doporučuji si s sebou brát telefon na fotky a blok nebo též telefon na zápisky, pokud nemáte doboru paměť.

Perfektní zážitek! Celý den se nám věnoval sympatický průvodce pan Martin Bareš, který dokázal tak poutavě a záživně popisovat období druhé světové války, že vás den s ním bude opravdu bavit! Zavedl nás na zajímavá, tajuplná místa, která jsou spjatá jak s válkou a bombardováním litvínovské chemičky, tak s důlní těžbou. Vřele doporučuji s Offroad Safari strávit den, poznáte zajímavá místa zase z jiného úhlu a dozvíte se tolik nových věcí!

Perfektní výlet Po stopách druhé světové války na Mostecku. Velmi zajímavý výlet, kde jsme se dozvěděli spoustu nových informací, ač tento kraj a dokonce konkrétní místa opravdu dobře známe, exkurze po stopách 2. sv. války na Mostecku nás dokazála překvapit a dozvěděli jsme se dost novinek. Příjemný, fundovaný a hlavně nadšený průvodce Martin, který se o danou problematiku hodně zajímá a tak to má být, je vidět, že ho práce baví a dává do toho všechno. Určitě jsme s Offroadsafari nebyli naposledy!

Skvělý poučný dobrodružný a fascinující výlet s prima průvodcem

Fantastický výlet po stopách války se super znalým, srdečným a ochotným fajnovým průvodcem! Je vidět obrovská znalost, nadšení a zápal pro věc, kdy svou energií a množstvím informací člověka strhne do dějů a míst, o kterých člověk neměl ani ponětí, a ani by ho to nenapadlo v zákoutích a tajuplných místech přírody, budov i měst takovéto stopy války hledat (neoznačená místa pracovních táborů, zbytků bunkrů a skalních krytů ..a dalších válečných neobjevených či málo známých stop). Úžasný výlet, který doporučuji nejen milovníkům ll. světové, ale všem. Kéž bychom se toto vše dozvěděli ve škole... a kéž by to bylo podáváno tak poutavou formou.. a nezapomenuto! Děkujeme skvělému průvodci Martinovi... a už se nemůžeme dočkat na další fascinující výlet s OffroadSafari, jak jen to bude možné! DíK ZA NEZAPOMENUTELNÝ ZÁŽITEK!
