Jana was exceptional. We kinda threw her a curve ball as we had already seen a lot of Prague. We asked her to show us something different. She took us to the train station, on a subway ride and to the Jewish quarter. She also shared a lot of her family history. Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed the tour.

Private tour of Prague

Our tour with Lenka was a wonderful experience. The first think she did was to sit down with us and discuss what we wanted to see as well as make some recommendations to make sure it was tailored for our interests. She was very patient and very well informed. This was a wonderful introduction to this beautiful city.

Great walking tour!

Alena was our personal guide for the day. She had so much information to impart on the Czech history and culture. We saw all the sights that we planned to see and lots more. Alena took us to a small out of the way beer garden for lunch that had delicious food! If you are going to be in Prague, a personal tour guide is the best way to go. Ask for Alena!!

We just finished a 2.5 hour private tour with Leo. His knowledge of history and local folklore of the Czech culture is incredible. In fact, his world history knowledge is extensive. I highly recommend requesting Leo for this tour.. We made a friend in a few hours!

Our guide was excellent. She was so knowledgeable with the history and culture of the area. She also provided great insights about current history. I highly recommend doing this on the first day there. She also gave great restaurant Recommendations. Be prepared with comfortable walking shoes.

Checked all the boxes and more

My husband and I took a customized tour which covered two half days. Sarka, the owner was our excellent guide Day 1 through Old Town, knowing where to go and timing our visits to maximize use of time and minimize crowds. She covered a lot of territory, at a reasonable pace and we learned so much about sites and Czech’s history. She gave good recommendations for activities to do on on own and restaurants. Veronika was our guide Day 2 on a cold, windy day at Prague Castle. She had much information to share and helped us maneuver through the sites and crowds at the palace. We enjoyed brandy tasting and ended with a tasty meal at the unique Bohemian Goose. Rick Steve steered us right again. Sarka and her team provide excellent service and so much more. Highly recommend.

nice tour

It was a 2 hour walking tour. Our guide was informative and accommodating. It was very cold outside and it was nice to be able to stop of some hot chocolate and coffee. Would recommend!

Great tour, great guide, perfect experience

We had a great time and learned a lot. Alzbeta guided us across Prague and told us all about the places we were visiting, and also helped us in finding good places to eat and shop. Marvelous tour of Prague

Janna was an excellent guide for us! She is extremely knowledgeable and shared so much with us. I have been to PrGue several times I. The past and still saw and learned new things. She was quite enjoyable and accommodated our request to see the local WWII shrine and memorial to the Operation Anthropod soldiers. Her knowledge of architectural styles is extensive and she demonstrated that by illustration during our walking tour of the city. She even treated us to a tram ride to shorten the time it would take to walk to o e of our destinations. This tour is definitely worth your time-it provides a great introduction to Prague. Delightful Two Days in PRAGUE with Alena Dukova

We were very fortunate to connect with Alena Duskova when planning two days of touring Prague. We really enjoyed our time with her. Alena is clearly more knowledgeable about anything and everything in Prague than any tourist could possibly want. Beyond that, she speaks and understands English extremely well, was very personable, sensitive to our needs and interests, and able to connect with us very quickly. This combination made our two days with her very pleasurable and memorable. She was a delight. Alena was exactly the private guide we hoped would be available to show us the wonderful city of Prague!

Prague October

Tereza was prompt, pleasant and knows her home city. She structured the 3 hour tour to see the parts of the east side of the river including the monastery and castle district that we had not visited, and did not drag us through areas we had seen or didn’t want to see. She had several brief little gem stops, like a isolated overview of the city and Wallensteins garden. She gave a great restaurant suggestion for our post tour lunch. Even though she was fast paced she always looked out for our comfort. Great at answering questions from ancient history to modern life and politics. Highly recommend!!

The best tour guide in Prague

Our group of six American basketball coaches and one Czech native met Tereza at Prague's main train station. She knew exactly how to maximize our touring experience with a minimum of effort. Tereza displayed incredible historical knowledge of Prague and its building and related the information in an engaging and informal manner. She possessed nuances most guides lack by choosing routes and shortcuts to minimize crowd size and lead our group to outstanding views. Tereza made everyone in our group feel important and lead us through Prague with ease and vitality. I highly recommend her as a small group tour guide and would choose her again if the opportunity becomes available.

Great overview of the cities historical area.

Robert led us through the streets of Prague and showed us the beautiful sites. He was knowledgeable about the history, architecture of the sites. He shared a lot of interesting facts about the city. We appreciated the pace of the tour. I would recommend him to others.

Personal Walking Tour of Prague

Our most memorable moments on this walking tour were many. Marek, our guide was a very nice person in addition to his knowledge about the history of Prague. His easy going style made the tour enjoyable and at the same time informative. I’d suggest anyone visiting Prague , wanting this pleasant experience to utilize their walking tour. Great tour of Prague by Alzbeta.

We were in Prague for a few days after a River boat cruise on the Danube in May 2023. We had a tour provided by the riverboat company which let us see the main attractions such as the castle and old town. However during our free day we had Alzbeta Petrinova give us a tour of some of the lesser travelled areas of Prague and it was delightful. She was very helpful in making sure no duplication of attractions was covered. It was very informative and interesting. We would highly recommend Alzbeta as a tour guide in Prague.

Excellent guide

Vera was an excellent guide. She helped us plan our tour time so that we were able to see the site that we were most interested in and taught us how to use public transportation on the way. She also pointed out other sites and gave us lots of interesting information about everything along the way. She asked us what our plans were for our time in Prague and didn’t duplicate our experiences. She was very knowledgeable and helpful! I would definitely recommend her.

Fantastic tour of Kutna Hora with Michaela!

I seriously had the best tour today, ever! Michaela was my personal guide to Kutna Hora, she is super fun, knowledgeable and energetic, making the entire experience a blast. I was very impressed by her extensive knowledge of Czech history, she was able to provide a wealth of information about the town and its sites, and knew the best places to eat, too :) As an added bonus, she is quite the photographer, and got me some fantastic photos. Big thanks to Michaela! I wholeheartedly recommend a tour with her, she will make your visit an unforgettable experience!

This was absolutely the best choice of touring Prague. Sarka was FANTASTIC!! She was full of so much incredible knowledge. We had the very good fortune of having a personal tour of Prague with Šárka of PersonalPragueGuide.com. She took our group of four on an overview tour of about 4 hours. Šárka has an amazing knowledge of the history and architecture of beautiful Prague and the culture of the Czech people. Not only did she tell us the history, she used visual aids: among other things, a plasticized timeline that she created helped to pull it all together for us. We were captivated by the legends, stories and little secrets of Prague that she shared. She gave us an appreciation of what we were actually seeing. We looked at Prague with new eyes afterwards. We also used her company’s airport pick up service, and it worked seamlessly. The Best Value in Private Travel

We were uncharacteristically unprepared for this trip. Planning our Prague tour was daunting. We decided to put our faith in Viator and we were not disappointed. Our Private Guide, Tereza, proved to be very knowledgeable, skilled, and attentive to our needs. We would NEVER have seen the things we saw without her. It would have taken us three days to experience the things we did in one. She pushed us to the limit. We wouldn’t change a thing and would recommend it to family and friends.

My 17 yo daughter is and I came for a full week of Prague to get the lay of the land and visit a local university. We arranged for two, half day walking tours focusing on one side of the river each day. Our guide Tereza was FANTASTIC! Tereza K. kept a brisk pace and covered a ton of ground, all while sharing the complex history of the City from the 10th c to present day. We love that she kept us off the main streets ducking through lesser used passages that revealed unique cafes and peaceful gardens. She made recommendations for the remaining days of our trip and checked in with us several times. Tereza has travelled and lived all over the world but her enthusiasm for her home town is unmistakable. We especially appreciated her insights on 20th c politics. We highly recommend Tereza!

Great tour!

Betty gave a great tour. It was our first day in Prague and she took our itinerary with a later tour (Viking) and constructed a tour that met our interests. She was attuned to our physical comfort and was generous with teaching us to maneuver the trams. Her knowledge of art history and architecture were so valuable. Seriously a great tour!

Amazing Tour of Prague

Sarka was fantastic! She met us at our hotel where we discussed what we had seen so far and what we hoped to accomplish in our time with her. We hit many of the big sites of Prague and she also took us to some unique places that we never would have known about or thought to visit. Great Prague guide - Jana

Jana met us right on time (actually she was there slightly before us) at our hotel. We had scheduled a 3 hour walking tour of Prague and it was better than we’d hoped for. First Jana sat us down with a map and asked for our input as to what we wanted to see. We had read Rick’s recommendations in his Prague books, and had friends recommendations and together we made a list of must see places. Top of the list was King Charles bridge, the astronomical clock and the location of the Velvet Revolution. Jana was a walking encyclopedia of information on all these topics. Besides the history of the bridge, a lesson on how the famous clock worked, she provided a vivid history of the Czech Republic from 1914 to present with personal family antidotes that brought the history to life on a personal level. She was also knowledgeable and informative of the architectural history of Prague, which was really neat! Because we traveled during Covid, and were leaving for America in three days, we asked her if she could take us by a Covid test center. There was one on our tour route and she went out of her way to insure we got the test we needed. We highly recommend the tour and highly recommend Jana as a tour guide. She was a truly exceptional guide and individual! Thank you for making our day so memorable!

Best Part of My Trip

A friend decided not to travel with me to Prague, so I decided to go alone. I booked a tour so that I would not have to wander around aimlessly by myself. I was so happy I did. Alena was wonderful. I felt like I was hanging out with a friend. She is very knowledgeable. She also was willing to show me shops to find quality crystals and garnets. The tour was the best part of my trip.

Great tours with Personal Prague

We booked two guided trips for 3 hours each and are so thrilled we did. I found Personal Prague Guides from my Rick Steves guide book. I looked at the website of two he mentioned and found Personal Prague much easier to determine the important details on what was offered and the cost. Also, emails were replied to in a timely way. Our guide was Alena and she came to our hotel lobby which is a huge plus. We saw so much and learned so much in such an enjoyable way. She had a conversational way of presenting that kept us totally interested the whole time. I would have loved to stay longer and take another tour!

Great tour of Prague

This was a great tour and I highly recommend it to fellow travelers. Prague was hot and crowded when we were there, but our guide managed to show us the sights away from the crowded areas and give us a great feel for the city. And give a great recommendation fir dining.

We loved Rick's audio tour and found many interesting things about Prague. We use his tours when we travel oversees and always find them useful.

Personal Prague Tour

Lidia (our guide) was great. And here is why. Tho she is Romanian, she has been living in Prague for over 25 years or so. Living under communism gave the tour another layer of interest that we didn't expect. Having someone to ask any question to about anything Prague/Czech was great. She did take us to too many retail stores, we were not interested, but not sure she got that. But overall we were able to steer her in the right direction. Now, it is pricey, but is it private. So you can decide what you want. We have had many 'free' tours (tip only) that were absolutely excellent in Vienna, Krakow, and many other cities. Personally, in the future, I will do those tours first. If they meet your needs, great. If you need more: then get a personal tour to drill more into what interests you. The downside of those tours could be a large group, harder to hear, and tougher to ask questions possibly. That is not to say I wouldn't recommend Rick Steves guides.

FABULOUS!

Lenka was fabulous! She was so knowledgeable without giving way too much information. She met us at the place we stayed and was super easy to arrange! We had 6 women all needing to stop for coffee and bathroom breaks and she was very accommodating and patient. Loved basically making our own agenda. Best tour I've ever had and worth every penny...which was responsible! It is a must as Prague is more spread out than we thought!

Prague walking tour

Four of us were led by Sharka the owner on an extensive private walking tour for 5 hours with refreshment stops at our discretion. Sharka was recommended in Rick Steves book and far exceeded expectations in knowledge of history, architecture, life under communism and human stories making history come alive. She is the best tour guide we ever had in any European city.
