What a fantastic tour! It was definitely the highlight of our family trip to Prague. We traveled with our young adult daughters. Ondrej and Joseph were the best guides we have ever had. We travelled with Ondrej while another family group travelled with Joseph. We met at Koneprusy Caves. Joseph is a geologist by education and was incredibly good at explaining the various formations ("cave decorations"), mineral composition, history of the cave, and conservation efforts. It was so interesting. After the cave, we went to Karlstejn Castle. The Castle requires you to do the tour with their guide. Our guide was very nice, but the group was rather large. After the tour, we all met at a lovely small restaurant for a traditional Czech lunch. It was delicious. Ondrej felt like a long lost relative. We shared many laughs, and we loved his stories about his family. Another great thing: the van was very comfortable. Ondrej had snacks and water for us which was great. He was a safe driver. He was on time to pick us up and was also very considerate of asking us if we were in a rush to be back in Prague (which we weren't). I wish this small tour company much success. They are exceptional at what they do. Highly recommend.

Great Castle tour

A day full of fun with expert guides

We weren’t sure what to expect on a tour with both caves and castles, but it was a lovely day of adventure and learning as well as the best lunch we have had in Czechia. The caves required a bit of climbing up and down, but were a charming adventure into the unknown. It took about an hour to get there from Prague. The car was well stocked with snacks and water, so never fear. The stories about the caves really made it come alive for us. Both our guides, Josef (Peppa) and Andrew, were helpful and pointed out all sorts of features. We got really lucky because Peppa had studied geology in school and knew all sorts of fun facts about the cave system. The walking is easy and paved throughout and I didn’t feel claustrophobic in the least. The next stop couldn’t be more different as we travelled to Karlštejn castle and explore. The guides were great at history and made the castle come to life. I mentioned the lunch and will do it again. I was introduced to Kofola drink (yummy) and the schnitzel was delicious. I have had many meals in the area and this was the best traditional food we had. Surprising because I don’t usually expect it from a tourist location. I liked the pickup and drop off at our residence - it made it super easy. A really great day for both of us and

This was an incredible tour

Joseph arrived promptly with a smile on his face. He greeted us by name and shook our hands. The tour was so informative since our guide was so knowledgeable. We were treated with snacks and water and one of the most delicious lunches. The conversation over lunch flowed so freely and we had many laughs. This by far was one of the most incredible tours we have ever taken. The caves were so interesting and Joseph captivated our attention with his wealth of knowledge. The castle was interesting and the view from the top was amazing. The was worth every penny. Thank you Joseph for going above and beyond.

Karlštejn castle and Koneprusy caves tour

The tour was well organized and entertaining stories about Prague were shared on the go by our guide Joseph. Enjoyed both the caves and the catle tours, had enough time to look around. As a bonus we received some great recommendations on things to see and do in Prague.

A must go!

This one day trip is a must! All staffs are friendly, polite and professional. The local food and cake are lovely. The cave and castle are impressive. You will not regret going with them :) have fun!

Wonderful Tour and Guide

This was a fantastic tour day! Joseph, our guide, is a trained geologist who effectively explained the natural wonder that is the Koneprusy Caves. This is a must see sight that was significantly enhanced by having Joseph as our guide. The Karlstein Castle tour is provided independently by the castle and is also very well done by their official guide. The tour also includes your choice of a very good Czech lunch with beverage. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you can get Joseph.

Relaxing and Memorable Day

Our guide Paul was incredibly knowledgeable about both the caves and the castle. He spent a lot of time discussing the culture and history of Prague in addition to these attractions during the short drive. The lunch was especially memorable as we discussed personal hobbies and traditions. This is a great way to see something outside of the city and learn a bit more history about Czechia.

Joseph from Uniline was a knowledgeable, friendly and helpful guide. He provided clear information and instructions ahead of the tour and lots of information about the things we saw on the day. He shared his specialist knowledge at the Koneprusy Caves, provided a good overview of the Karlstejn castle and quarry. He gave us a lot of background information about the Czech Republic throughout the day and was on hand to make sure our dietary requirements were catered for at the lunch, which was excellent. We would not hesitate to recommend this tour and Joseph to prospective clients.

A personal tour - fabulous!

We had a fantastic tour with Joseph. We were expecting a small tour but ended up with a personal tour for 2 - a real bonus! Joseph was an excellent guide- very personable and friendly and we learnt so much about Czech history and culture. The caves were really interesting and Joseph’s own knowledge was great. The castle and lunch were very enjoyable too. A great way to spend our last day in Prague! Would highly recommend.

If you only one day to see outside of the city, take this tour!

From the time we were picked up to drop off, the tour was amazing. Joseph provided fun facts and information the entire day. Just the right amount of sitting and walking on this combined excursion. Our restaurant for lunch was delicious and had so many choices, it was hard to pick. Highly recommend this tour and the tour company.

Amazing views, great value, loved it!

The three people in my group had an amazing time on this tour (late-20s women)! The morning started with a visit to the caves which was even cooler in person than we could have imagined. We learned all sorts of interesting facts about the geological history of the caves and it was one of my favorite parts of my entire vacation to Czechia. Then, we went to the castle which was an amazing photo opportunity as we had some extra time to explore on our own when we first arrived. The lunch we enjoyed after the castle was super delicious. Our tour guide/host, Paul, was fantastic! He was friendly, fun to talk with, answered all sorts of questions for us, and made the experience even better. I would highly recommend this experience, it was a great value. My friends and I will cherish the memories we made together on this tour for many years to come!

If you have only one day to tour some key places in Prague, this is it!

My colleagues and myself did the tour with Joseph. We were picked up from our hotel. The communication was smooth and we were kept informed. Joseph is fantastic, very informative, friendly and professional and well organized. We were 6 of us of in the minivan and it was quite comfortable. Well planned tour where there was no longer than 1 hr in the car for any given leg. Caves were fantastic and so was the castle and lunch. The vegetarian choices at lunch were also good and customizable. In fact when getting dropped off i missed my umbrella in the car and was flying out next morning. Got in touch with Joseph and he went out of his way to get it to me at the hotel that night. Awesome day tour!

Amazing tour with an amazing guide!!

My wife and I took this tour on our visit to Prague. The tour was absolutely amazing. Our first stop was the Koneprusy caves. Our guide Joseph walked us through and told us stories and information about the caves. Our second stop was the beautiful Karlstejn castle where we did a complete tour and had an amazing lunch afterwards. Our last stop was the Big America canyon which was fantastic. Joseph did an amazing job on this tour. Thank you so much Joseph, you made the tour both thrilling and interesting!!

Incredible half-day trip from Prague

We took this tour to see the Koněprusy caves and Karlstejn castle, and it exceeded our expectations! We were picked up and driven by our guide Pavel (Paul) who was very friendly, timely, a great driver and knowledgeable. I think we were lucky because the other guide Joseph was also present for the whole trip, because he took another van of people from different hotels. This way we basically had 2 great tour guides the whole time! The caves were breathtaking and super interesting, especially all the facts that Joseph told us while we were there. The castle is very beautiful and the views are incredible in this area. The castle tour itself was actually done by a separate guide (who works there) but she was awesome as well. Afterwards we had a great traditional meal with everyone, and they even stopped off at the Quarry nearby to see some more cool views. HIGHLY recommend this trip, worth every penny.

A great way to spend a day when you're exploring Prague and Czech Republic

An excellent tour. Anyone who likes nature and history should take it. The caves were beautiful and fascinating. The castle was interesting too. The view from there was fantastic. Our guide, Joseph, did an excellent job in being informative, entertaining and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Fantastic tour guide, great tours, beautiful views, great food.

This was the best tour of our ten-day trip. The absolute highlight of the tour was the guide, Joseph (Josef?). Joseph was thoughtful, animated, and so well-versed in the history and geology of Prague and the surrounding areas. His obvious pride in the best parts of Czech culture, and understanding of ancient and recent history kept us all engaged for the trip. His knowledge of Geology was especially useful in the caves, and we were able to take our time and really gain a lot of understanding of the significance of what had been found there. Our lunch was delightful - in a small restaurant near the castle. We ate with another tour (eight of us in total) and got to experience some traditional Czech fair. Again, Joseph's recommendations were en pointe in all regards - loved the cabbage soup and honey cake for dessert! The castle tour was given by someone else, but it was also good. Even after dropping us off, Joseph provided us with additional valuable advice as to how we should approach sight-seeing in Prague, and some of the things he thought we might like. Based on that, we went to an old library we might otherwise not have seen, and it was one of the best things we saw that day. You will not regret this tour. It's fantastic. If you're lucky enough to have Joseph as a guide, you'll be in for a great time, no doubt.

Czech countryside tour

Karlsteijn castle was the highlight. Fascinating place. The caves were interesting too. The tour could probably have done with one more major site of interest.

Amazing Tour of Caves and Castle

Paul was our tour guide and he was amazing. Very knowledgeable and made sure we were taken care of. He teamed up with Joseph and those 2 were outstanding. If you like exploring caves and then seeing the inside of a castle, then this tour is for you!!!

Unbelievable Experience

Your was so amazing! Joseph was so knowledgeable, friendly and organized. The caves were beyond expectations and the castle was an experience we will never forget…Jospeh’s knowledge of geology was such a nice touch because he was so passionate about the caves and his passion for Prague made the excursion all the better. We really enjoyed our trip to the Karlštejn castle and the Koneprusy caves. Joseph is an excellent guide. He is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The Koneprusy caves were the highlight of the tour. Would recommend this tour.

Amazing experience

Genuinely exceeded our expectations, our guide Joseph was so friendly/welcoming and extremely knowledgeable about the caves, he made the trip a really interesting and informative experience. Joseph was also kind enough to give us some other places to visit which we’ll be sure to check out. Nice trip with Joe

We had a nice trip with a great guide called Joe, who spoke really good English . He knew a lot about the cave system and had a education in archaeology and knew much about the history of the country what me and my girlfriend found verry interesting. Also he was nice enough to tell us a bit about the local culture and the local food and drinks. I would totally recommend him to my friends. Met vriendelijke groeten R&R

The caves where great, but

I will start with what was great about the trip: 1-The caves are interesting. 2-Pavel was pleasant, and friendly. We were lucky that he was our tour guide. He made recommendations regarding sweets and where to shop. In general, Pavel was welcoming. However, the castle was disappointing and the way we toured the castle left us in shock. The castle has an inside tour guide and he crammed people in small rooms, locking us in. I felt like I was in a prison. It was mentioned in what is included in the trip a cab to the castle; however, we went on foot. The cab should be a horse carriage because we noticed people going up using it. We paid a huge amount of money and we should have the service. Also, the food in the restaurant was ok,. Again, instead of providing us with a whole cake, the cake was cut in half to reduced the expenses. Why?? We saw the whole piece, and we knew that we where provided with very small halves. We knew even before seeing it by noticing the exchange between the waitress and the tour guide.

A wonderful day out!

Joseph our host was wonderful. Provided such a great insight into the places we went especially around geology and the caves we visited. We had a great day at the caves and castle and a lovely lunch with our group. Highly recommend.

Konesprusy Caves, Karlstein Castle and Big America Quarry

This tour is catered for small group of 6. We had a full-day tour, what we appreciated was the pick up and drop off at our hotel. The vehicle was well equipped with water, snacks and even wifi, vehicle was clean and fully airconditioned, which helped a lot especially when the temperature was above 29 deg celsius. We were very blessed to have Joseph as our tour guide, having trained formerly in geology, he kept all of us interested in the stalagmites, stalactites, and fossils in the cave. He kept everyone engaged, lots of bonding and exchange of information and opinions, good fun. The entire tour within the cave was very extremely educational. Our visit to Karlstein Castle was quite a walk up the hill, but rewarding, lunch at U-Adama was excellent. After lunch, Joseph made a quick stop to show us the Big America quarry, it was beautiful. Joseph was very attentive and he works according to our pace. Our tour ended very sweetly with a gift from Joseph and tips on what else we can do in Prague during the rest of our stay. Thank you Joseph and Uniline Tours for this lovely experience. We love it! Hope to join you guys for another tour when we visit Prague again.

Great Response to Adversity — Uniline is Excellent

How a company handles something which goes wrong provides the best indication of how well run the company is. From start to finish, we were very impressed with Uniline Tours. The company contacted us the day before the tour to remind us of the times and location for pickup. The day of the tour, our guide, Pavel, again texted us to tell us he was about ten minutes behind schedule and he provided his new estimated time of arrival. This really is a big help, as well as a nice reassurance. Pavel speaks English well and was quite knowledgeable. He also is an excellent driver. We arrived at the Koněprusky Jeskině first, and the tour went very well. There are like most caves which have been arranged for tourist visits — cool, well lit, and with interesting geological features. A nice part of the tour. Then we stopped at a canyon-like quarry before proceeding to Karlštejn Hrad (Karlstein Castle). And it was at the castle that the trouble began. We climbed the steep hill on foot — a long trek upwards — only to discover when we arrived that the castle was closed because Czech Television was filming in the castle. There were no announcements of the closure, Uniline Tours had not been notified, the guide has not been notified, and there were no signs posted announcing the closure. So, no tour of the castle. This is where our guide, Pavel, and the tour company really showed just how professional, how excellent they are. Pavel was genuinely apologetic, and never lost his composure. Instead, as we all stopped for a delightful local lunch at the U Adama Restaurant he arranged for the group to visit Křivoklát Hrad instead. The fact that Karlštejn Hrad was closed was not the company’s fault, but the guide, Pavel, with the support of the company, arranged for the group to tour another castle instead. And that tour was well done and really interesting. A company and its people show their best when they are able to deal with the unexpected with hardly a hitch. Full marks to Uniline Tours and to Pavel for their professionalism and dedication to making things right! Uniline Tours and Pavel have proven themselves to be excellent! This is a tour company upon whom one can rely.

I loved this tour. The tour guide was fantastic and filled with great information, and had a fantastic sense of humor. The cave was amazing and it was a nice small group. Highly recommended!

Amazing Tour of Koneprusy Caves and Karlstejn Castle

It was a wonderful half-day tour of the Koneprusy Caves and Karlstejn Castle with our superb tour guide Joseph. Right from the start when he picked us from outside our hotel, he was the friendliest and most joyful guide, getting us settled in comfortably in the tour van and giving us tidbits of information of Prague city as we drove towards our destination. Throughout the cave tour, he gave us detailed explanations of the rock formations and history, his geology knowledge truly shining through as he was able to answer any scientific queries we had. While he was waiting for us to complete our guided Karlstejn castle tour, he took the liberty to buy us souvenir Czech cookies and we were so grateful. Over the course of lunch, although there were other guests with us on this tour, he gave all of us equal and utmost attention, bonding on a further level as we all shared about our personal lives at home. Before we went back to Prague city, he brought us to stop by the beautiful Big America quarry. While the scenery was great, our whole tour was made perfect with Joseph’s presence: his easygoing personality and attentiveness of a tour guide truly made our day. This was easily our best guided tour experience on this holiday. Thank you Joseph and Uniline Tours for this experience, we highly recommend it!

Castles & Caves - Craving Them? Do This Tour!

This is an amazing day trip from Prague! You get a chance to see some amazing countryside along with a unique Castle from the 1300s! Also, Joseph is a great guide who looked out for every need, and told us about everything! Ask for him and do this tour, you’ll be glad you did.

Our tour guide Paul was outstanding.

Our tour guide, Paul, made this a very enjoyable day. He not only shared the history and knowledge required at the site but shared his thoughts on Czech history, food and culture. His wide range of interests, knowledge and well-spoken English made conversations very easy and enjoyable. One caution is to take photos of the English leaflet at the beginning of the Koneprusy Caves tour so that you can read the explanations in the cave. The cave guide’s English was negligible and the low light in the caves make it difficult to read the leaflet. Karlstejn Castle was truly delightful. The castle tour was very organized with great explanations in English.
