Good but could be improved

I really enjoy this kind of architecture so I'd have been happy to go to see it from the outside. The baby sculptures attached to the tower are quite creepy/cool. We did go inside and thought the ticket price was a bit high just for the observation tower, but you get some great views of wider Prague. They could make more of their observation pods and make you feel like you get more for your money by having a museum or other permanent exhibition in there. There are a few bits but nothing great. Mostly it's just seating. It was also very hot up there! They don't sell much in the way of souvenirs either - I certainly would have bought a small replica tower if they had one, but it was pretty much just magnets and bookmarks.

Great views. but Over Priced

great views as you would expect. but as you are way out from the centre difficult to see the major sights. and at czk300 a little over priced. after all all you do it take some photos and come down. expensive restaurant.

Tour closed to the public due to a private party..... Even though I had checked availability on the web page itself..... Waste of time, lack of friendliness, no consideration or apology

Rude ticket seller, nice view

A nice tower with a nice view over Prague, but very unfriendly and unpolite ticket seller. She was rude to us, so... I really hope she only had a bad day. But oitherwise a nice place.

Must-See Views & Free Entry with Prague Pass at Žižkov Tower!

We recently visited the Žižkov Television Tower in Prague and were blown away by the experience! Thanks to the Prague Pass provided by our hotel (courtesy of Czech Inn), our entry was completely free. The view from the observation deck was absolutely incredible - a full 360-degree panorama showcasing the entire city. We were easily able to spot all the major landmarks and get a fantastic feel for Prague's layout. An absolute highlight was that the binoculars didn't require any pesky coins to operate! We could enjoy close-up views of all the city's details without any hassle. While the ticket price of 300 CZK might seem like a consideration, having free access with the Prague Pass made this an absolute no-brainer. The views were truly stunning, and the convenience of the coin-free binoculars was a nice touch. We would highly recommend the Žižkov Television Tower to any visitor to Prague, especially if you have the Prague Pass. The panoramic views are a must-see!

Good way to see Prague

Good way to see Prague as a city. Views were good with clear directions where sights were best seen. Really liked the egg chairs

Not worth it

For starters this is quite far from the centre of Prague and perhaps the fact none of the hop on hop off buses went near it, should have been a sign just not to go! This cost 300czk pp which is roughly £11 pp luckily we had a Prague card so we did only pay 1. incidentally the guy claimed he had to keep our Prague card?!? It is absolutely NOT worth it as the windows aren’t even clean and are all scratched. There are better roof top views in the actual centre of Prague of which you can get up free if you simply just buy a drink!

Disappointment

Nice view, but it is all. Very expensive for the family, not enough seating places in Observatory to stay for longer time. We decided to take lunch in Bistro66, but they choose people which look rich and for us (family on trip in Prague) they had no place. One visit here is more than enough. There are a lot of better and frienly places in Prague.

Expensive

More expensive than any other Prague attraction. Which is silly. It’s a great view. The hike up to the tower area is epic. If you are not in shape, just say no!

Too overpriced for the impaired views

Way overpriced for the impaired views. Are there amazing 360-degree views of the city here? Yes. The problem is the curved and double paned glass that has bubbles and waves in the tint so you can’t really get any good photos and some of the views are blurred due to this as well.

Well worth a visit

The experience itself was very good, seeing the whole of Prague from above. However we were told we were unable to use the restaurant or bar on the floor below. This used to be a cafe several years ago from what I recall. Being somewhat of a rebellious nature, we did get off on the floor below and enjoyed a lovely cocktail, whilst still taking in the beautiful views. Overall a morning well spent, despite the long walk.

Not bad

Ideal for people who have additional days in Prague. I would not recommend it as a must see. The view from tower towards Prague city is pretty neat. It’s not that bad neither it’s that great. But definitely it’s well maintained, neat and clean.

A must for those who want to city the city of Prague.

T%his tower is fantastic. It is set in its own park. There is a restaurant at the bottom called Miminoo. Once you pay, there are two lifts. One for the restaurant on the 4th floor and the other for the observation deck on the third. You can see the entire city laid out around you. Even though we are in a large building getting close to the windows still made us nervous. We are not used to be this high up in the air. In the viewing longe there are three large rooms. They contain art, bubble seating and free telescopes. We took far to many pictures., some of which are below.

Expensive and not really worth the money

Okay. This was difficult as spent our 5 days in Prague. Enjoyed every attraction apart from this one. This was very expensive all of the other attractions were around 150kc however this was double the price. Great views but not much else. Weird seeing the climbing babies Only positive this was the only tower in Prague with no lifts. Beautiful city you do need to explore the city. Perhaps not going up the television tower

The Good The Bad and The Ugly

The card machine was broken so they would only accept cash, We had to book online. The woman at the front desk was rude and forced us to go through a scanner door which was a struggle because the scanner was bad and wouldn't let us through easily, but she told everyone else to go around we asked her why we couldn't go around and she said 'because they booked online' she was completely rude and didn't treat us with respect and the people behind us thought the same thing because during the lift ride up the tower the same people got into the lift with us and we had a chat about the women at reception. The view was very nice and the whole experience was good.

Good luck at the reception desk

Views were spectacular - that and only that merits the three stars. The woman at the reception desk? Possibly the most abrupt and unsociable human being I have ever come across. How some people get the customer service jobs they are in is one of life’s mysteries. Rarely am I so taken back by a persons attitude towards paying customers. This one has probably cracked more eggs than smiles. Elsewhere - restaurant looked amazing but too expensive for our budget. But, given the attitude of the woman in the desk - we felt more like puking than eating.

Good one!!

Good place for viewing the panoramic view of entire Prague. View is amazing. Carry binoculars to enjoy the complete view. You’ll finish within 10 minutes. There’s nothing much to say.

Good choice

Great tower. High tech architecture. Great view from the “other” side of the city. Great convention center at the base of the tower. It is not super high but high enough to see into the backyards. The Jewish cemetery at the base is also very interesting.

Fabulous views

Great place to visit to see Prague from a different perspective. It's interesting to pick the landmarks out from so high up! We took the tram to get there and it's really easy . It was very cold when we visited so we didn't try out the golf in the park, but it would he lovely in summer. Loved the babies!

Disappointing

This was OK. Thought it was expensive for what you got. On the day we went tech problem meant you had to pay cash which was not very convenient. It was December but views not that spectacular.

Too expansive for a lift ride. More explanation about what you’re looking at would be appreciated. The videos show wasn’t much at all

unused function need refund

Our transport to Prague did not arrive in time to take advantage of the function. We arrived in Prague at 1700 and were not checked in to our hotel until 1900. We were supposed to arrive by 1500. Never had the chance to go to the TV tower

Nice to see once!

nice view above the city, pretty nice to see once, but not more any more visits more information about how it was built would have been nice ond a better map of the city too :)

Amazing view

The experience was amazing. I loved all of it. The picturesque view. The history and images outlined.

Overpriced & Unclean

I'm sure this experience could be wonderful but the windows are so dirty & condensated that you can hardly see out of them. There's one walls of facts and everything else feels unexplained. The price, nearly £20 per person, was massively overpriced. The floors were flithy, like it hadn't been cleaned in days. This place is not being taken care of considering the price people are paying to enter. The only thing that saved this experience is the restaurant on the floor below the observatory which was absolutely stunning. The windows were clean, had a great view from our table. The food was delcious, especially the beef sirloin gnocchi and the dessert choice was brilliant! The restaurant staff were also lovely. The restaurant and observatory being in the same building just did not match up at all. One dirty and one stunning.

Go up the most striking building on the Prague skyline

This is one of the most striking buildings on the skyline, the easiest to get to and the easiest to get up as well! Take the metro line A to the Jiřího z Poděbrad station and then walk a couple of blocks to the tower. You can play 18 holes of mini golf, visit the ground floor restaurants/bars, visit the observation decks and also the restaurant deck as well! The restaurant is accessed by a separate lift to the main observation deck so you need to do them separately. Spend as long as you like sitting in the egg chairs or just admiring the view from the pods at the top. Its all enclosed so quite safe and the usual facts and global tower comparisons are on the walls so you can see how high you are. its a worthwhile visit when in prague.

Great views even on a cloudy day

We were staying just around the corner from here and could see the tower from our apartment window so it was an obvious choice to visit as first time visitors to Prague. Even on a cloudy day the views from the TV Tower are very good...it's also a good way to get your bearings as a first time visitor to Prague.

Great views all over Prague

Great views above and far from Prague! Really worth of visiting. Besides observatory tower there is excellent restaurant. However, a strange procedure when buying tickets: the card reader was "broken", only cash, but the price shown in the ticket was zero korunas?! Sounds like someone is trying to avoid taxes...

Great place to visit

After playing mini golf we went to the observatory. The view was amazing. Liked it very much. Definetly will come back when we will return to Prague 😁

Tv tower Prague

It was good going up the top. Strange not having someone to take you though. Also at the bar on 3rd floor poor choice of drinks unless you want a cocktail or spirit.

Perfect view to whole Prague

Really nice experience! 360 view to whole Prague. You can spend there as much time as you want and when you come for sunset, its really unforgettable. One of the most interesting places in Prague !!!

Best view in Prague!

I love this tower! Sunset was my fav there ❤️ In the observatory you can spend as much time as you want and just sit, enjoying Prague and chill. Best time to visit in my opinion is sunset! If you are in Prague this tower is must to visit!!!

Cash????

You can only pay in cash. After 3 days in Prague, this was the first time that payment could not be made electronically. Time has apparently stood still here. View is beautiful and nice to see Prague from a different angle. On the way back you are almost pulled out of the elevator halfway to have something to eat in the overpriced restaurant.

Views of Prague from a high point in the city

If you travel to Prague, you can go to the television tower and see the panoramic view of the entire city of Prague. They show where each of the monuments are and make a comparison with the rest of the tall buildings in the rest of the world. In one of the rooms you have a kind of movable benches so you can sit and see the views of the city. It is not central, but it is worth getting away to see the capital of the Czech Republic in a panoramic way.

Climb to what 100 meters with a view of the whole city. Easy to reach. Please either buy the tickets online or you have to pay in cash!! 10 euros

Nice view

Nice activity, we visited the tower when it opened in the morning there were few people. The view is good, it's a shame the glass walls aren't cleaner.

Lovely views of Prague!

Very pretty view of Prague, and a very pleasant moment of rest in the bubble chairs. Following a comment in previous posts, we first went to the bar: free access. Just tell the hostess that you want to go to the bar. She then directs you to the elevator on the right (the one on the left being for people who have paid their entrance fee). For the 5 of us (2 adults with children aged 19, 15 and 11) we would have had to pay around €60 for entries. Bar, on the 1st floor, fairly average view. The very high benches limit the view. The staff is friendly and the cakes are very good! On the other hand, the restaurant part (we did not try it) offers a very beautiful view. When we took the elevator again, we just had to press the button for the upper floor. And we reached the highest part of the tower! We joined the people who had paid their entry! Very nice view, nice place.

To do !

We're not going to lie to each other, it's particularly ugly and the babies who climb on it bring something weird...but it's impossible to miss it and not climb up to admire the 360 degree view of Prague! The notable advantage is that once inside you can no longer see it in the photos 😃 So you have to do it!

Tolles Erlebnis

Schöner Ausblick und Sitzmöglichkeiten. Unten wartet ein schönes Restaurant zum ausklingen. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Kein zweites mal

Sind abends hin um gute Fotos von Prag zu machen. Die Umgebung wirkt schon sehr runtergekommen. Im Turm alles etwas lieblos. Fotos machen kann man vergessen da die blaue Beleuchtung im inneren total spiegelt. Im ganzen wirkt der Turm einfach wie ein Touristennepp.

Waardeloos in de avond

Wij zijn ‘s avonds de toren opgegaan voor een mooi nachtelijk uitzicht over de stad… dachten we. Doordat de ruimtes boven ‘versierd’ zijn met allerlei felle verlichting zie je vooral allerlei spiegelingen in de ruiten, en niet het mooie lichtjesspel van Praag. Dikke afrader dus.

Lohnt nicht!

Der Turm zählt ja zu einem der hässlichsten Bauwerke der Welt(damit werben sie selber), was ich, wenn man drunter steht nur bestätigen kann! Der Eingangsbereich, wenn man ihn den findet, wirkt nicht sehr einladend! An jeder Imbissbude, bei jeden Straßenhändler kann man mit Kreditkarte zahlen, hier war nur Barzahlung möglich! Praktischerweise steht neben der Kasse ein Geldautomat mit sehr hohen Gebühren! Grundsätzlich hat man einen schönen Blick über Prag, aber die Einrichtung wirkt wie "gewollt und nicht gekonnt"! Ich hätte mir hier gewünscht das es Informationen über Dinge auf die man herunterschaut gibt! Stattdessen hat sich ein Künstler versucht die grauen und leeren Räume ansehnlich zu machen! Für 12€ pro Person ist das ganz schön enttäuscht!
