Beautiful

Our guide was amazing. He was funny, insightful, and kept the tour moving. The town was so quaint and we even got caught in a surprise thunderstorm that added to the fun!

Interesting but boring

Driver was horrible, tailgated and drove too fast. Guide was knowledgeable but boring. Ossuary was creepy but amazing. Churches were interesting.

Fun little day trip.

If your a fan of cathedrals and history this is the tour for you. It is packed in and you get a lot of history from the guide. It is limited on time for each place but you see all that is advertised.

Sweet tour guide

The guide was very considerate of our toddler and his travel considerations (changing the walking around time with meal time, since the rest of the group also thought earlier lunch would be nice). I wish the time in the town was a little longer, but I know some of the tours through the same company do have more time built in and would reccomend that. But overall it was great!

Good

Enjoyed the experience. Tour starts at 12:30pm. Pick up and drop us off in our hotel, but felt rushed. We enjoyed the Ossuary but would like to stay longer. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to take photos. We need more time or maybe the trip needs to start a little bit early? So we can have more time.

Interesting Trip

I chose this trip because it included transfers and pick up from the hotel and I wanted to see Ossuary (Bone Church) which was on my bucket list. The Ossuary was out of this world to see and I’m glad I saw it, however I was disappointed that we were not allowed to take photographs for our own memories. We saw other churches too. The tour guide was very informative about the history of Czech Republic and was very nice. However I would have liked to learn more about the Nazis and WW2. I would recommend this trip if you would like to see this church.

Very nice tour

Very nice tour. Pick up was on time. The guide did an excellent job explaining and showing the town. Overall great experience.

Kunta hora

Unfortunately the guide seemed disorganized and did not speak very good English. Had a difficult time speaking loudly and often had her back to us so we couldn’t hear her. She also could not say when and where to meet and it was often confusing. Didn’t get much free time. We did enjoy the city of Kutná hora and the churches.

Beautiful town and lovely outing.

Lovely small town out in the countryside. Pleasant bus ride to get there and interesting sights. The churches were very interesting and our guide did not overpower us with tons of information. We did have some free time in the main square to look around on our own and grab a beer and snack. People in the Cafe spoke English and probably other languages. A word of caution, this is a very old town and people with mobility issues might be better served skipping this trip. Streets are all cobblestone and hilly. We loved the trip and the bus ride gave us time for a nice nap.

Gustav was an amazing guide his over 30 years of experience make him the perfect guide , he knew a lot about everything and give us awesome interesting information , we would do all tours if Gustav is the guide 100 % recommended

Interesting but rushed.

We enjoyed the ossuary but would have liked to stay there longer. The churches were interesting. The guides accent made it difficult to understand him. The entire trip felt rushed. Prague Bus Tours was disorganized about the transportation and gave incorrect information about what to expect in advance. The tour should have allowed more time.

No English speaking guide

Super disappointed. The sights were amazing and the guide seemed knowledgeable but we asked for English and were only able to understand a few scattered words of the tour guides information. We came back to hotel and had to look all of the history up on Google. We regret not going on our own.

Very informative.

Our transport was right on time, and the bus ride was filled with information. Our tour guide was incredibly informed on Czech history and culture, and we’re so grateful to have had him.

Could be better

Tour was great. But the guild English was very poor and I did not understand most of the tour. If you pay for an English speaking guild, you should be able to understand him.

Do your homework before this visit.

For us the site did not evoke significant feelings of interest. We found the use of human bones as expressions of art rather disrespectful. We also were not particularly interested in the historical fighting within the Catholic church. The tour ran to schedule and the guide was enthusiastic and helpful.

Different and very interesting day out

The Bone Chapel was fascinating, unlike anything else we have ever experienced. Both cathedrals were beautiful. Our guide had lots or information for us. Transfers on Time. No problems at all

It was a good experience but nothing special, could have dint without this trip. Prague itself has a lot to see. The guide was nice but too much information.

Back in Time -

Kutna Hora was exceptional. It blew my mind to be in a place that existed in medival times. The entire town was beautiful.

An unique and essential visit at the Czech Republic

It was a pleasant time we passed at this lovely Town. The visits to the church of Santa Barbara and the incredible monument of the ossary. And the guide was so kind and always tried to answer our questions.

Interesting information …

Tour guide was lovely and very informative, but the bus just about fit the number of people and felt very cramped. There was no time to actually look at Kutna Hora, just walked around with the guide. No chance to stop for food other than 15m before heading back.

Kutna Hora and a brief Sedlec

The tour was rushed through Sedlec, and then hours walking around Kutna Hora. Although interesting, it would have been nice to spend longer at Sedlec and have time for a quick souvenir shop without feeling you were being rushed. The guide however was a lovely man and very knowledgeable and the trip to and from very smooth. Just the time spent in places was disproportionate. That is however my personal opinion as the main reason for out trip to Czech Rep was to see Sedlec, others may feel differently.

Nice trip, didn't get what we paid for. Shame.

Sedlec Ossuary is a unique place to visit, however, it is undergoing some restoration work in half of a very small space, meaning the experience is not as complete as it could have been. We were not notified of this. We booked this trip last minute, and after checking and double checking, believing entry to be included as stated on email, arrived to find we had to pay again. Was not impressed. Decided to not bother going into the other 2 churches as would have had to pay again for those also. Viator needs to look at their wording and transparency, as this spoilt a potentially great trip. Thank you to Alex our guide, very knowledgeable insight to Czech history on the drive in.

Vera, the guide was incredibly knowledgeable. Her English was excellent. Communication about pick up and drop off was precise. Would very much recommend this trip.

Interesting and hard to imagine

Our guide was a retired history professor who saw communist and current history. He was excellent and helped us really understand the history of church and town. He was fun to talk to !

Interesting, convenient day trip from Prague

Excellent trip to the historical sites of Kutna Hora. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful, and the hotel pickup / dropoff experience was stress-free and efficient.

Kutna Hora

The guide was very knowledgeable and took time to ask if anyone had any questions. The lunch break was about an hour, this wasn't long enough if you wanted to see the town of Kutna Hora. The cafes seem to only serve cakes and drinks so go to a restaurant if you want a meal. The plague monument wasn't part of the tour - the guide did advise where it was. The bone church stop was 30 minutes - the small shop within it could easily be overwhelmed if busy so 30 minutes may not be enough time, especially if you want to look at the shops on the way back to the transport. Several interesting stops and lots of history. A walk along the equivalent of the Charles Bridge for Kutna Hora with striking views and photo opportunities was had.

The Ossuary was the highlight

The Ossuary was a very surreal experience and the town of Kutna Hora is very charming. Given this tour is outside of Prague it’s worth the money although I’ve been on better tours. I was very disappointed not to have any time in the town itself - maybe ten minutes? The Basicilca is lovely but considering you are spending about three hours on a bus to go there and back, the tour should account for more time on town. It was sad not to be able to enjoy a coffee and do some shopping. Oir guide was very nice but honestly there was so much information provided on the bus ride there it was hard to keep track and much of it was lost. Overall it felt very rushed and that was a let down.

Below average tour guide- ossuary under lots of repair. Barely any free time.

The tour guide Eve was very repetitive and clearly had a memorized script. If we asked questions she would just repeat chunks of her memorized content without really answering our questions. She also would randomly turn and walk away and leave behind a chunk of the tour. Several people got lost and separated during the tour. Overall, the city is small and we only had 30 mins of free time. The churches were cool but the information supplied was general (at one point our guide described a painting as “a catholic painting” and that was it. It was a picture of Mary and baby Jesus…not very helpful commentary…) overall it was a decent tour to get out of the city for a day but, if I could do it again, I would book with another company or skip altogether.

Absolutely loved it! Eva our guide was super nice, we had enough time to see the ossuary and St Barbara! Definitely recommend!

Kutna hara ossuary

Albert, our guide, was absolutely outstanding. He is very knowledgeable. It was a unique experience and not sure I have ever seen anything like it before.

What a Cathedral

We decided to take a train trip out of Prague to the UNESCO site and it was well worth the visit. The train was reliable with the bus stop outside the station. Bus driver did not speak English but was helpful and the bus dropped us outside the old town and pointed us in the direction to go. Was a lovely cathedral and gardens and the walk back into the old town was lovely. Well worth a visit if you are up for a bit of adventure.

A good tour even though weather conditions were terrible

We had planned to do this tour on our own using public transport, but so glad we didn't, as the day we chose was freezing, with lots of rain and snow. Paths were slushy and slippery. The bus dropped us fairly close to the attractions we went to see which was helpful, and paying extra to be picked up and dropped off at our hotel was so worth it given the terrible weather conditions. Ava ? (our guide) was great, spoke English well, and provided lots of information about the attractions and Prague generally, which was appreciated. Both the Ossuary (no photos allowed) and St Barbaras were interesting places to visit, and can recommend this tour.

Do not book

I was on the same tour as the few other recent reviews. To have a tour specifically to see the Ossuary and then get there 2 min after they closed is unacceptable. They are a large tenured tour company and they should know to check openings. The guide said nothing, no apologies, no suggestions on how to make it better, nothing. To top it off, my paid for hotel drop off didn't happen. The driver couldn't figure out how to get to my old town large name brand hotel so he literally told me to get out dropping me off NOWHERE near my hotel. Then.....it gets worse. All 22 of us would absolutely be complaining the tour company had the nerve to blame the lateness on someone needing extra time to walk. Sir, I was on that tour and there were zero slow walkers. What we didn't need was 30 min in a tiny church and 35 min walking around an empty, dead square. So the company only refunded me the entrance fee to the Ossuary!!!! It was our entire day of vacation none of us can get back. There are no other opportunities to go again. This company and guide should be ashamed.

Didn’t get to see the Ossuary, don’t book!

This tour started out just fine. We took this tour, as it was the only day that fit in our short stay in Prague. I flew in from Hawaii, and met my parents who are living in Italy there for Christmas. I came, and convinced them to spend the holiday in Prague for two reasons. The Christmas Markets and the Ossuary of Kutná Hora. As a long time goth, this was my pilgrimage, so you might say. I dressed to the nines to prepare myself for this. Tour was fine, however not quite sure why they would leave the ossuary as the last stop, knowing they close at 4pm. We arrived to the highlight of the tour, and they would not let our group in. They said it was closed. This ruined everyone on the bus’ trip. We did not need to see anything else. We all booked this for the Ossuary. I flew 8000 miles and thousands of dollars to see this sight! We were turned away and hurried back to the bus. Where the driver and tour guide was not apologetic, didn’t say a word on the ride home. A whole bus of sad and angry people. If I could give negative stars I would. I only chose this tour as it was the only option for 12/26. I did not get to see the one nightlight of this tour. The ossuary should have been the first stop!! Why if we were pressed with time did we have 2 30 minute breaks?! I can’t even wrap my head around this. We leave today, and sad to say the major reason I chose Prague instead of another country that has Christmas Markets was the Ossuary. Horrible experience. Waste of time and money! Applied for a refund.

Didnt even see the bone church!! s*** show, inexplicable

We DID NOT even get to go to the Ossuary!! What Complete chaos and unorganised tour. All 22 of the tour group paid to come see the Ossuary. We were all so excited to see the UNESCO heritage site bone church and they didn’t even show us it! That’s right, the tour was spent at a different cathedral, with a 30 min free time break (where everyone tried to kill time). Then the tour guide gave a random walking tour indulging in random stops and facts all whilst the tour guide not even realising that by the time he take us to the Ossuary it would be closed. Imagine going all the way to Prague from overseas and paying for a tour to see something that they don’t even show you - that was this tour. Then to top it off the minivan to drive people back to our hotels was so poorly organised. Imagine putting a non English speaking driver on an English tour group and what chaos may ensue. People were dropped off in the middle of nowhere in pitch black darkness because of the communication barrier. The driver went on the most ridiculous route where everyone would have been better off just walking. There was also no apology or compensation offered at all. Refund required do not take this tour. They still haven't even contacted us as to what compensation will occur

The tour is ok, the car is quite crowd without proper air circulated. The guide did his job to explain the history and information sounds like a machine. Quite amazing to the see the church.

Awful

Booked this trip with high hopes. Journey was nearly 2 hours from Prague. We was loaded onto a coach with a Spanish group when we was on a English visit. The tour guide done nothing but talked for the whole 2 hour journey and you couldn't hear much over the noise of the Spanish group! There was no time to sit and have lunch either. On getting back to Prague to pick up our bus to drop us back to hotel. Another 2 couple who we didn't pick up were put on our bus. A 20 minute walk ended up being a round trip of 1 hour and 30 mins ontop of a 2 hour journey. Wouldn't recommend this and feel my money has been wasted. Huge disappointment. Be wary when booking might be easier to do outside of trip advisor.

Really enjoyed it!

It was lovely! The Ossary, the churches were a great experience. Our guide was very good. Thetown of Kutna Hora was mostly closed but I recommend the trip.

Interesting trip to some stunning churches

Interesting trip to some stunning churches away from the crowds of Prague. The guide was excellent in terms of his knowledge but did speak very fast English which i expect some non native speakers may struggle with.

A Total Sh** Show

This could have been a good tour with a better guide. The guide’s English was just so so and he talked nonstop. He needs to learn less is more. It was difficult to follow his long rambling stories. We spent way too much time on the first church and too little time elsewhere - like the ossuary. The guide pointed out several shops that supposedly had good souvenirs, but we were given no chance to go inside any of them. At the second town we were told there would be a lunch break. The lunch break came at 16:00 when the tour headed back to Prague at 16:30. Needless to say no one ate lunch that day. The guide just didn’t get it in so many ways. I honestly could not recommend this tour.

Wonderful tour

Wonderful! Evelyn was excellent guide and so well informed. The ossuary was so interesting and St. Barbara's Church was amazing. Prague Bus Company picked us up & dropped us off at our hotel. Excellent!

Avoid!

This was our last tour after traveling in the area for two weeks. I cannot recommended enough that you skip seeing Kutna Hora with this provider. They were significantly late picking us up. The guide was enthusiastic about the content but very very difficult to understand. The tour was disorganized, directions were unclear, and information was conveyed very poorly. Due to this disorganization and complete lack of clear communication the guide knowingly left four tour participants behind!! Don’t take this tour - find another way to see Kutna Hora. Don’t be the next four left behind by this tour company.

This was a great tour!

The decorated bone church is one of the strangest, most intriguing, things I've ever seen! Unfortunately, the tour guide didn't speak Engilsh very well. He was very nice and extremely enthusiastic, but it was hard to understand what he was saying. I would still recommend.

Great day trip from Prague!

Wonderful day trip from Prague! The ossuary was unique and interesting. Cathedral of Saint Barbara was beautiful! Our guide was well-informed and a great resource of history of these sites.

Loved the tour! Our guide was very informative and accommodating for newcomers and very friendly. The sights in Kutna Hora were well worth the drive. Our driver also did a great job navigating traffic during rush hour in Prague. Great experience!
