Lenka our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. We learned facts about Jewish history in Europe that were unaware of. This tour was very educational as well as emotional. I would highly recommend this tour.

History brought to life

Our guide was amazing! A local who is a second generation guide and owns her business with her mom, was warm, inviting, open and curious and always able to answer our questions and have discussions. A Jewish studies major, she led a wonderful tour providing lots of historical and personal context for what we were seeing.

Jewish Quarter very worthwhile

Our guide was very knowledgeable. It was very intriguing to see the diffferent synagogues and the cemetery. Loved the little stores. Felt like a mini shuk.

Our Tour Through the Jewish Quarter

Lenka was very knowledgeable and explained the plight of the Jews in details we had not heard before. She was a delight. The area contains significant artifacts and gives one a much greater sense of the long suffering of the Jewish community.

Very educational and interesting tour of the Jewish quarter

Eva explained really well and it was a highlight for our tour to Prague. We especially felt humbled by the memorial to those Jews that were lost skiing the holocaust. The Spanish synagogue was very impressive to see.

Thorough tour, many sights - disappointing guide

While my family very much appreciated the detailed tour of the Prague's historic Jewish Quarter, and we learned a great deal through the many exhibits along the route, we were very disappointed in our guide. In a number of instances she lacked familiarity with basic Jewish practices and also lacked awareness of antisemitic tropes resulting in unfortunate, insensitive comments. She seemed to be determined to stay on a script, without any curiosity to engage in conversation when we aimed to share our family's experiences or tried to correct a few inaccuracies related to Jewish customs. Our tour would have been more meaningful if our guide had a better understanding of Jewish practices, was more sensitive to the impact of xenophobia and antisemitism, and engaged more with those of us on the the tour.

Jewish quarter tour for the ages

Eva was so knowledgeable about Jewish history, customs and religion, and truly enjoys enlightening others. We are jewish and learned so much from her. Highly recommend this tour.

Lots of information but dry delivery

The tour covers about 5 buildings in a small area as most of the Jewish ghetto was destroyed years ago. The tour could have been done in only 90 min to 2 hours instead of 3 hours. We saw mostly museums with nicely preserved artifacts, and two synagogues. The cemetery was impressive. Our tour guide Eva was nice but dry in her delivery. Would suggest incorporating the Jewish into an all-inclusive tour of Prague.

Wonderful tour and amazing guide

This was an amazing tour! I study history, but my tour guide blew me away with her knowledge about Jewish history in Prague. She was incredibly nice, my age, and very smart. I was worried how a tour this specific could keep my interest for over 3 hours, but I was so sad when it ended because I was enthralled by her knowledge and teaching/tour style. I would definitely recommend this private tour.

A must do

I went on this tour with myself and my partner. We were glad we paid extra for a private tour because we would of missed so much information if we just got admission. It was easy to organize at the front desk and we really enjoyed our tour guide Dana! She answered all of our questions and showed so much passion and emotion in the tour. Must do when in Prague!

A powerful tour of Jewish Quarter

We were advised by a friend to see the Jewish Quarter of Prague with Lenka, who has studied the topic extensively and presented information with great depth, always having excellent answers to the questions we asked. Frankly, while we usually explore cities on our own, I can't imagine having gone through this area without a guide. The complexity of the site, the connections among all the different places, and the historical context are all crucial to even a simple understanding of what the visitor sees. Lenka's fluent English, professional attitude, depth of knowledge, and prompt responses to all email exchanges made this trip a pleasure.

Must do tour in Prague!

Hana was a wonderful guide. She told us the story of the Jewish Quarter in Prague. It was moving and affecting. I am So glad we did this. I wouldn’t have wanted to miss this important part of history.

Unforgettable experience!!

I had read reviews about Lenka Dorakova on TripAdvisor and was persuaded I should try to arrange a tour with her during out stay in Prague. Best decision I've made in a while! Lenka kindly arranged her schedule to accommodate ours, met us promptly and provided an unforgettable experience in the Jewish Quarter in Prague! Lenka is certified (all guides in Prague are not) and, therefore, has both the knowledge and access to provide an in-depth tour of all relevant sites in the Jewish Quarter. Lenka is a fount of information, but she also builds in time for her clients to explore at their own pace, take photographs, and process what they are experiencing. The tour was worth every penny and I highly recommend visitors to Prague have this experience and, if you are fortunate enough to have Lenka as a guide, you will be more than satisfied!

Prague Jewish Quarter Tour

Our trip to Prague started off as a disaster. Direct flight from Newark to Prague cancelled, rerouted through JFK next day, through Munich then Prague, flight delayed to Munich delayed finally got onto Prague day late and two hours again delayed. I mention this because Supreme Prague, Ms.Lenka Dvorakova, was with us all the way. Our tour on Thursday was cancelled, Lenka moved us to Friday. We were delayed on Friday, Lenka met us at our hotel. Between Lenka, Viator, and Gate 1, our tour operator, our vacation was saved. Lenka was great, She showed us all the important sites of Prague on our way to the Jewish Quarter, and then was amazing with her knowledge of the synagogues and history of the Jewish Quarter and Jewish people of the Czech Republic. My wife and I were exhausted from our travels, but Lenka kept us involved and excited about this tour. I highly recommend Supreme Prague and especially Lenka Dvorakova. We thank them immensely..

Excellent private tour of the Jewish Quarter

Bara went above and beyond during the tour she gave us of the Jewish Quarter. She was so knowledgeable and so accommodating during the tour. Our son is spending the semester in Prague for NYU and had a ton of questions that Bara was able to answer. She really went out of her way to give us suggestions on other sites to see, restaurants and shopping. Overall, we learned a ton of information about Prague and it's rich history and culture. Hidden section

We didn't know this section of the city existed. Some historical scars are not promoted. Our tour guide was knowledgable and fairly familiar with area. Spent too much time getting there. Left wanting to learn more about the history of what hqppened.

Fantastic! Great experience and value

This tour was spectacular. Our guide Klara was great - very well informed, very fluent in English, completing graduate studies in Jewish history, very accommodating, spent extra time with us, and provided us with a TON of interesting historical context, stories, facts, markers, etc. We could never have gotten this amount of knowledge or insight from either doing a tour on our own or with a less knowledgeable guide. A great value and a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend.

Fabulous tour!

3 Hour Prague Jewish Quarter Tour

Our family really enjoyed this tour. It was very powerful visiting the different synagogues and the Jewish cemetery and we loved learning about the Golem of Prague. Karel, our guide, was great and we would definitely recommend him to others interested in this tour.

Wonderful, informative and personal

The Jewish quarter of Prague is a 'must do' when visiting the city. Lenka took us around all of important points of Jewish Prague (Synagogues, museums, graveyard) and was informative and quite obviously very immersed in her subject. She was more than just a guide reading from a script. She has studied her topic and knows it inside out. This added to the depth and quality of her tour. <p>I am so pleased to finally write this review for Lenka, who took us on a private guided tour during passover. She is so sweet and intelligent, she truly made the jewish quarter memorable. After being us at our hotel she led us through the old town square to the jewish quarter. Our private tour started at Maisel Synagogue, and from there we visited Pinkas, the cemetery, the burial society/ceremonial hall, Klausova, Staronová and Španělská synagogues. Pretty much everything you could ask for in the jewish quarter. A great wayto condense the jewish quarter into a great 3 hour visit if you are pressed for time, however we never felt rushed as some of the buildings are small. Was great having Lenka on hand to answer any questions, she really kept us interested the whole time! My father and I had an amazing time on this tour, and I highly recommend a tour with Lenka</p>

<p>I had a few glitches confirming my tour between Viator, Lenka tour guide and myself on the night before my tour. This was all sorted and Lenka met me at my hotel the following morning. The tour was everything I had hoped for. The synagogues were beautiful. Lenka was so knowledgeable, her understanding and compassion of the plight of the Jewish people was obvious. Lenka gave me plenty of time to take photos, ask questions, spend my own time at each synagogue. The pace of the tour was perfect, I never felt rushed. I would highly recommend this tour. It is somber in parts, but well worth it.</p>

<p>This tour was not value for money. The tour guide quickly rushed through the sites, telling us what we could have listened to in the audioguide. A tour guide is meant to add value to visiting sites, either by adding efficiency of fast track entry, or by making it more fun than listening to an audioguide, or preferably both. This was neither. If you are interested in Jewish History of Prague, then allow more than three hours for all the sites and do it with an audioguide.</p>

Es war super!

Die Führung war super spannend, wir konnten ihr alle Fragen stellen und sie hat uns nach der Führung jeweils Zeit gegeben, so dass wir selbst noch Dinge anschauen konnten. Sie hat Judaica studiert und wusste unglaublich viel! Ich kann die Führung nur weiter empfehlen.

Prag -kubism och art nouveau-guidetur

Lenka visade oss på ett personligt sätt runt i Prags kärna på ett pedagogiskt sätt. Både våra barn (12 o 15) och vi hängde med och lärde oss jättemycket om både ämnet och annat som om det tjeckiska språkets och landets historia. Massor av fantastiska hus och andra spännande ställen i undanskymda gränder! Från att krafsa på ytan, känns det nu som vi har djup kunskap om staden och dess historia! En fantastisk eftermiddag på 3 timmar, tack Lenka!!

Das jüdische Viertel / 3h-Führung

Mit Karel unterwegs, eine sehr gute Erfahrung. Unser Führer sprach perfekt deutsch und konnte uns nicht nur die Sehenswürdigkeiten sondern auch historische und religiöse Zusammenhänge anschaulich erklären. Sehr zu empfehlen! Die Kinderbilder aus Theresienstadt, die in der Spanischen Synagoge ausgestellt sind, lassen einen als Deutschen auch noch nach über 70 Jahren beschämt und sprachlos zurück.
