A unesco protectorate, this city is so lovely... I don't know what is my favorite... the old city, the river with the canoes and rafters, swans and kids, or the castle in Loket, a bus ride away at 20 minutes.

Very nice tour, worth to see both towns. We went in November, it was raining the whole day, but it was worth it, anyway.

Awful experience..be careful when you consider to buy this tour!

The tour agent hav not responded to my multiple emails trying to make appointment for the pickup time. When I arrived Prague I called them and found that the tour would be cancelled 1 day before the tour date. They said that they would give my money back 2 months passed, I haven’t got my money back.

This was not a tour, just transportation

We were 4 people on this tour, they had promised hotel pickup, which they did but half an hour later than they said, that was acceptable because of the traffic and the car driver was a very nice man who took me to the meeting point. There we meet our “guide” (If you can even call her like that) and the driver hadn’t arrived due to the traffic, again. Finally he came and we started the way in a very comfortable van, unfortunately, the driver thought he was in a race and was driving in the worst possible way and I even screamed in one occasion because we were about to crash. After this hell ride we got to the Glass factory and it was great, the local guide wasn’t that good but the experience was awesome. Then we went for lunch to a close by restaurant and the food and service were nice. In Karlovy Vary, the guide was just a walking person with no data to share and we were just following her around, then we finished in the last city and she gave us “free time” and that made me laugh because we had had free time all day without her guidance at all. So, to put it in a sentence: take this tour only if you want “nice” transportation and not having to worry about trains and stuff. Other than transportation and food, this tour didn’t provide anything

<p>we were only 3 people with the driver and the guide Marghareth and in french language. <br/> The guide was NIL. she doesn't know anything : Her french language was mediocre, doesn't know something special about the 2<br/> places we already visited. From the beginning I asked her to take us or to tell us where is the russian church in Marianske Lazne. She doen't know about it, but it's very important and the people there tell us where .... when I asked her again, she didn't listen to me and didn't answer. we prefered if she was not with us, we prefered to be only with a driver to take us to karlovy Vary and Marianske Lazne.<br/> She was very antipathic. when returned back to Prague, she talked with us quickly quickly and went quickly. she is not helpful at all. <br/> Really this tour was null . Domage.<br/> the third person from France paid 66 euros for this trip. we paid 175 euros meaning 87.50 euros by person. WHY ??? also the price was incridible. I thing I put off Viator from my choice.</p>

Both places closed

Thought this may have been fun. Our guide talked to low and we were in the back. It was a good hour drive of which o was ok with but our driver thought he was in a race which made me nervous. We stopped the Moser glass but couldn't do the factory tour (It was closed) had lunch that was terrible. The driver was passing with corners coming and whipping around so fast I was sick to my stomach. It was all I could do not to throw up on our poor Russian girl who was in front of me. Our second spa stop was walked around after the guide told us a few things that had no relevant. We didn't stop at Pilsner as it was closed also. We paid 90 bucks each on a crappy tour. The tour company should have known some of these attraction were closed and just cancelled the tour. I'm never booking with Grey Line again

<p>A nice, small group. There were only 6 of us in a comfortable van. The Moser glass factory was very interesting. The lunch meal was very good. Both spa towns were amazing. Our guide was engaging and knowledgeable. The driver was safe and efficient.</p>

<p>It turned out to be an English/French combination. We never signed up for a combo. However our tour lady didn't have a good command of both languages. I asked for a time to wonder like 1/2 an hour to look around in Karlovy Vary and did not allowed it. Before we went to Marianske Lazne, a french tourist requested in Karlovy Vary time to use the restroom and was told in few minutes that translated into 1/2 hour until we got Marianske Lazne. Very uncomfortable, <br/> We got 20 minutes free time at the end of the end of the tour in Marianke Lazne, but it took 20 minutes to get back to the bus. So in reality there was no free time at all.<br/> Lunch was very poorly organized and only one choice available. It seamed food from the day before.</p>

He just disappeared for long minutes and had to go back to him from the other end of the city, instead of him coming with the bus. I had a feeling that the guide is afraid of him.<br/> We particularly enjoyed Marienbad a really enchanting place. A pity that we have so short a time there.</p>

<p>I'm glad I chose this tour that also goes to Marianske Lazne because I actually liked that better than Karlovy Vary. Marianske Lazne is a little lower key, if you could say that about a gorgeously appointed spa town. The colonnade is truly stunning and the park in the middle of town makes it seems more relaxed and less crowded. Both spas are definitely sights to see with their opulent architecture. The tour offers a great ride through the rolling country outside of Prague and it's great to see that as well, and I did enjoy the visit to the Moser glass factory. We were taken to a pleasant restaurant for lunch that even offered a vegetarian option, and our tour guide had us back in Prague on time. I was even picked up and dropped off at my hotel.</p>

<p>Karlovy Vary and Marianske Lazne are beautiful towns. There was also a tour of the Moser glass factory which we thoroughly enjoyed. The tour overall was good.</p>

<p>The guide was so lazy didn't introduce much things to us, we came back to Prague 3 hours before estimated time, and we had to wait for her all the time during the tour time, e.g. Wait for her playing with pedestrian's babies, wait for her toilet needs. But those are nice and beautiful cities tho.</p>

<p>Bad weather and a weak guide meant this was a very limited tour. The tour consists of walking around the two spa towns and sampling the water (they drink it) at the locations. These are dominantly Russian tourist sites, as they seem to be the dominant crowd in the area. Very attractive locations, and an opportunity to see some countryside outside of Prague.</p>

<p>Fabulous tour.. The sights of Karlovy Vary are fantastic. Such a beautiful place. The entire tour was awesome. The guide, Jan was really friendly and tried to accommodate all our requirements. I highly recommend this tour. Viator provided this tour via the tour company.</p>

While in Prague, my friend and I...

<p>While in Prague, my friend and I took approximately three tours, but this was by far the worst tour! The bus picked us up at the hotel and brought us to a central meeting spot. We then waited for another bus to bring us to Karlovy Vary. There was both an English speaking and a Spanish speaking tour guide on the bus, which was fine because we were a small group. I imagine if the group was larger, it would have been very difficult to hear anything. The tour guide was nice enough, but I would hardly call him a guide, more of a chaperone. He gave a little bit of history about Prague itself, and then when we got to Karlovy Vary he walked slowly through the town. The guide was unable to answer questions and it seemed that he needed to stick to his script. When an elderly woman needed to take a break he became completely flustered and continued the tour with little regard for the woman. The tour also indicated a visit to the Moser glass shop, which meant as we walked by the shop the tour leader said "This is the Moser Glass Shop." We did not stop in to see anything. The bus which was promised to be air conditioned was not! It was incredibly hot, with no circulation at all. When we asked the bus driver to turn on the air conditioning he appeared upset. Overall, I would not recommend this trip to fellow travelers. The town itself was quite lovely, and would have been great to see at our own pace. If you are interested in seeing Karlovy Vary, make an appointment at a spa and take public transportation to the town!</p>

<p>Very nice tour, we've had a beautiful day! Karlov Vary is a wonderful barroque town and on september 4th, 2012 we've even saw the rainbow over the river that cross the town. The guide Petr was gentle, explained everything and even gave us free time. Highly recommended tour!</p>

<p>This is a wonderful trip. Daniel was a terrific tour guide!. He was didn't mind talking to me all the way to Karlovy Vary and all the way back to Prague fro Marianske Lazne. There were only 5 people total on the trip. 2 spoke Spanish and had their own guide. Therefore, there were only 3 of us in the English tour. Daniel's English is VERY good. It felt very personal. We were all older and we went at our own pace and did not feel rushed at all. I'm so happy that we went both places. They are so different. Karlovy Vary seemed a bit more elegant, Marianske Lazne was my favorite. It was more laid back and seemed a bit less crowded. Overall, I would highly recommend this trip to everyone!</p>

Highly overrated and not a good...

<p>Highly overrated and not a good value for our money. You need to inform the amount of time we would be spending on the the road in a van...it was 5 hours...half of the ten hour day was spent driving. Wish we hadn't wasted the money.</p>

<p>Worst experience ever in 25 years of travelling ! Marianske was a waste of time. The lunch in Jeneces was a disaster. Had asked for vegetarian food and was given boiled vegetables . When asked to change the boiled potatoes for roast potatoes ( which the others were given ) i was told by the waitress Linda " i don't have time ". When i followed her to the kitchen to show her what i wanted ( as there was a language problem ", i wasyelled at and insulted by a waiter ( marekk) and told " to get out "!Even the manager when called offered no apology for this rude behaviour and said the staff is busy when there is a group.Did not see the brewery ( as was planned )because there was another group there. please change the restaurant to another one which does not make the client wonder why they came there !Have booked at least 30 trips on yr website and this was terrible !</p>

<p>The tour guide didn't provide any information about the countryside we were driving through however was knowledgeable about the spa towns and the history. The lunch in Karlovy Vary was awful. The spa towns were beautiful and the architecture was wonderful and the tour was a good way to see some of the magnificent scenery in the Czech Republic but not really a great tour.</p>

<p>Probably the best day of our trip. Would definitely recommend going to Marianske. Some people had the visit to Karlovy Vary only and had to entertain themselves while the rest of us continued on to Marianske which is a beautiful city.<br/> Beware though, it was supposed to include pick up and drop off to hotels. The pick up occurred, however the drop off didn't. We were just dropped off at their city booth and told we had to find our own way back to the hotels, not easy when you only arrived the evening before.</p>

<p>A wonderful day - very long and busy but such a good trip. Karlovy Vary was a wonderful trip into the mountains and such a pretty town with an extraordinary history. Marianske Lazne was unexpectedly beautiful. We had an orchestra playing while we were there, a visit to a beautiful church and the Royal Spa. Lunch in Karlovy Vary was substantial but not as good as it could have been.</p>

<p>This was a lovely day in two very beautiful turn of the century spa towns with beautiful architecture! Tasting the variety of thermal spring waters was free. We also toured the Becherovka Museum, and got a free tasting of several varieties of liquer. The lemon was my favorite flavor.</p>

Going to Becherovka was fun, and Karlovy Vary was great. Had coffee at the Grand Hotel Pupp, very classy. Don't forget to take some spa crackers home!

Balneario en Praga

Estuve en el balneario Karlovy Vary en mi recorrido por Praga Tiene fuentes de las q surgen aguas termales q dicen ser muy beneficiosas para la salud. Hay hoteles muy bonitos donde la gente hace estancias curativas. Se venden en diversos puestos una especie de tacitas q se llenan de agua termal y se bebe de a sorbitos. Segun explicaba el guia, ese lugar es muy concurrido por gente q necesita desintoxicarse y mejorar su estado de salud general. La arquitectura y los bellos jardines hacen del balneario un sitio ideal para el descanso y el disfrute.Tambien posee numerosos negocios donde se vende desde ropa a joyeria, incluida comida tipica de la zona. Lo recomiendo como opcion de excursion si van a Praga.

<p>Excursion intéressante. Notre guide Petr était très sympathique. Il a été très généreux de son temps et de ses connaissances qu'il a partagé avec nous. Marianske Lazne est moins touristique mais il n'y a pas tant à voir. La visite de Karlovy Vary serait suffisante.</p>
