Fantastic private guided walking tour of Prague!

Highly recommended! Our tour guide Jirka was fantastic and gave us a private tour of Prague tailored to our pace and interests. He was extremely knowledgeable about all the tourist stops as well as Prague’s culture, and he was extremely engaging as well. We stopped by the historic Prague sights, a couple of unique churches, and even had an authentic Czech lunch. The tour was the highlight of our family’s trip to Prague. Good Tour, Great Food; Information a Bit Disjointed

The walking tour of Prague was good. The city is lovely, with so many gorgeous buildings rich with history. It's like walking in an art museum! Mark was a knowledgeable guide, with a lot of very detailed information about the places we saw: Charles Bridge, Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square, the Jewish Quarter, Castle Gardens and St. Vitus Church. He was able to answer questions and seems to really love the city. A plus is that he's American, so there are no language barriers in that regard. Lunch was fantastic! Loved the goulash and beetroot salad! Other thoughts: while we got an enormous amount of information, it was a hard to fit the details into a logical flow because contextual information wasn't delivered upfront and in chronological order. I'm a very left-brain, connect-the-dots processor of information. Mark and my husband have a more creative, right-brain approach. They seemed to follow one another's conversation easily, but the delivery felt disjointed to me. On occasion, Mark seemed to misunderstand my comments as well, so the disconnect was likely in both directions. For other left-brain travelers, it would be helpful to deliver an overview of the history of the city first, clumping periods into chronological order with key names and dates associated with each. That way, when the tour arrives at each stop, you can reference the relevant overview information to give a quick context for the specific details to be presented at the location.

Walk the city and enjoy the day!

We had a wonderful city tour with Mark! He met us in our hotel lobby right on time, and we had a full day of walking, history, and food. We started at the Prašná brána and ended within a block of our hotel. We went to the Old Town Square, Franciscan Gardens, Prague Castle, and walked Charles Bridge, just to name a few. Nothing felt rushed, and he spent time explaining the unique history of Prague/Czech Republic. He is very knowledgable about the area, and he was fun to be with. I liked how much ground we covered walking the city, and I especially loved visiting his friend’s art studio! The tour is definitely worth it, and it was money well spent.

Awesome tour with Pavla. !!!!

We really enjoyed this tour with Pavla Cervinkova !! She grew up in Prague and really gave us the authentic information about the city. It was great getting all the information directly from a person who grew up in the area. She certainly knows her Country's history, culture , music etc. !! The 5 hours went by so fast ! We saw all the major sites and many other sites that only a true local would know. Was also a pleasure to enjoy an awesome lunch with her and learn even more about Prague 's history and its culture. She is also very pleasant, fun and super friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. !!!!!

Great tailormade tour of Prague with Pavla Červinková

Pavla provided a great tailormade tour of central Prague. She had taken on board the specific things I wanted to see/hear about - such as antique shops Pavla had also booked a table for us to have lunch in a restaurant I really wanted to try (but hadn't been able to get into previous days)! Pavla was great at answering my questions throughout the tour, and offered some nice insights into the city, so it felt like a proper personalised tour.

The best introduction to Prague!

I could not have asked for a better introduction to Prague! Though Mark is not a native of Prague, he could not love or know the city any less than someone that has spent their life here. We took it all in -- at my pace -- and I felt like I got the most comprehensive tour of the city possible. We walked the old town in the morning, then stopped at a local coffee shop and chatted among the locals, later having a classic Czech lunch at a popular restaurant. We needed it because we then walked the grounds of the castle and surrounding neighborhoods, did a bit of shopping and ended the tour a the top of the hour with the chiming of the famous Orlog astrological clock. Mark was an excellent guide!

Prague and its passionate history

learning about Prague's history made me connect with this city in an even more impressive way, and I just hope to be back soon. mark was the best guide we could have had. he was really patient from beginning to the end, because my mother doesn't speak English, so he waited for me to translate every time. he explained the details of Prague in a very passionate way, which made us fall in love with the city even more. thank you, mark. wishing you the best!

Day 1 Introduction Tour!

This is a great introduction to the city to help you determine some of the sites you want to spend more time touring/visiting. It was also interesting and helpful to better understand the history of Prague and Czechia. Mark was our guide and he did a great job!

Great introduction to Prague.

Tereza was brilliant. Loved seeing the amazing architecture and learning about the history of Prague. The tram ride to the Prague Castle was fun and seeing the changing of the guards. Lunch was excellent. Time flew. Didn't even mind the cold and drizzle! Recommend as much as possible!

Historic Prague

We were very lucky to be the only 2 people on the tour. Tereza was a fantastic guide. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. Even though it was the coldest day of our holiday, the time flew by. We even visited a friends art gallery to see some amazing art and share a drink! Would recommend the tour and especially Tereza as a guide to anyone.

Walking tour of Prague

Trip around Prague We were treated to a tour around Prague as a gift from my sister and brother in law for Christmas. We met Mark as arranged and he proceeded to take us around all the key sights around Prague, Mark was informative and very friendly and pleasant answering all my questions about all the sights we were viewing the time passed effortlessly and we enjoyed a wonderful glimpse into the city. We can easily recommend this tour for others as every point was covered with ease and we enjoyed ourselves immensely .

Lovely day in Prague

Jan was so absolutely fabulous and genuine! He is a native to Prague, loves his city and loves to share it with visitors! He customized it to what our group wanted and made sure we were all enjoying ourselves throughout the whole day. We loved this city tour and the place we went to for lunch was delicious! Jan is the best!!

This was one of the best tours I've ever taken! Our tour guide Jan was so fun to spend the day with. He was very knowledgeable about Prague and was able to answer every question we had. I learned so much about Prague's history and had such a fantastic time exploring and getting to know the lore of this beautiful city. Jan even gave us tea and cookies made by his daughter. As a solo traveller, this was a perfect tour to get a flavour of Prague and the wonderful experiences it has to offer. Mark was very knowledgeable and provided many opportunities for us to stop, ask questions and take photos. Great experience for the first time visitor to Prague.

Fun Day Trip to Prague

John was an amazing tour guide. We discussed the history of Prague and he knew all the shortcuts to walk the entire city in 6 hours. I learned about the culture and got a chance to taste the local dishes. The clock was incredibly beautiful, and I was so happy to be able to purchase limited edition clock magnets from the museum. The architecture is incredible, and he ended with a love story about his mother…who does not like a good love story?

Best Private Tour EVER!

My tour yesterday with Jan Friedman was absolutely amazing! Jan picked my small group of friends in our hotel where he immediately shared some personal information about himself. I instantly felt connected and knew he was going to be incredible. The tour was customized around our interest interests yet also included his personal favorite places. We stopped at famous cafe's, learned about his family and ate some homemade goodies made by his daughter. What a wonderful treat for us. Jan was knowledgeable, funny,personal, flexible and ultimately became our friend. I am so happy we met and everyone really enjoyed the tour which included the best lunch we have had here. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour with Jan to anyone visiting Prauge. Thank you Jan and maybe we'll see you again.

Wonderful Walking Tour of Prague... with a Czech Lunch and Vltava Boat Ride

Mark was a fabulous guide. He is very friendly and knows all of the highlights of Prague...as well as many interesting off of the beaten path places that probably only a local guide would take the time to include in the tour. I loved the tour. It was a very comprehensive tour of Prague. We saw the Municipal House, Powder Gate Tower, many sights in Old Town... Wenceslas Square, Old Town Square, the Astronomical Clock, as well as many beautiful churches and other interesting sights. We went to the Jewish Quarter...and saw the Jewish Cemetery as well. Took the tram to the Prague Castle, observed Prague from the viewing area at the top of the hill. Stopped to see the Lennon Wall and walked across the Charles Bridge. The boat ride on the Vltava River followed the walking tour. Mark was very professional, courteous and helpful. This tour is several hours of walking and viewing many of the wonderful areas of Prague. We stopped for a coffee break at a local coffee shop in Old Town... stopped for bathroom breaks as needed... stopped for a traditional Czech lunch in Lesser Town.. and before he took me to meet the boat tour... he made sure I knew how to get back to my hotel. Thank you, Mark! You are the best! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves to walk and explore new places. It is a lot of walking... so being reasonably healthy and able to walk quite a bit is a requirement. Book this tour... and ask for Mark! You will love it! :)

Highly recommend this Prague tour

I did this tour as a solo traveler and it was the highlight of my trip! I opted for a group tour but there were only a few of us and it felt like I was touring Prague with friends. We had a great time with our guide Alex, who showed us the must-sees as well as his personal favorites. I loved his friendly approach and all the stories he shared with us. Highly recommend!

The best tour you can do in Prague!

We have been on a ton of tours over many years of traveling the world, and this is definitely one of the best we’ve been on. Teresa was a fantastic guide, and over the span of five hours showed us all the best spots in Prague while providing us great information that clearly showed she knew her stuff. We had two kids with us who were not thrilled about the idea of a five hour tour, but the tour had two breaks (one for coffee/refreshments and one for lunch) which made it very manageable for them, plus Teresa was great at engaging with them throughout the tour through fun questions and quizzes. Lunch was at a nice traditional Czech restaurant, where she answered all our questions on places to eat and visit after the tour was done. If you only do one tour during your time in Prague, make sure it’s this one!!

Our Favorite Experience Travelling!

My husband and I went on our honeymoon to Paris, Berlin, and Prague shortly after our wedding. This was our favorite activity we did the whole trip. Learning about the history of Prague, seeing the city, learning the local secrets, and cuisine (with options, my husband was picky so I was worried about it but there were multiple dishes to choose from). Our guide, Tereza, was so kind and informative. You can tell she's very passionate about the city and it was such a fun experience. By the end, I felt like we were friends! When she found out I was a huge book nerd she took us to the library to see the Idiom Installation. I truly would recommend this experience to everyone and do it early on in your trip as we received so many recommendations after!

Mark was our tour guide and was outstanding! Extremely knowledgeable about the history of the Czech Republic and made the tour very exciting. It was 5 hours but it seemed much shorter because of all the beautiful sights and interesting facts Mark was sharing. I highly recommend you book this tour when visiting Prague and ask for Mark!

Great day in Praha

Nikola was really good. She took time to check with us what we wanted to get from the tour and gave us lots of good address for us to go to later to food and visits . The tour was nicely spaced out and did not feel like a marathon. Highly recommended

Great tour of beautiful Prague

Toured Prague, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, with Tereza. She did a terrific job giving us an overview of the highlights and an appropriate amount of history. We appreciated her suggestions on what to do, where to dine and where to shop. Toured the Jewish Quarter with her associate Pavla the next day. Another very interesting tour with a knowledgeable guide from Prague City Adventures. We recommend this company and these tours.

Knowledgeable and fun

Mark gave us an interesting, relaxed walk through Prague with enlightening insights on some not too distant history. He took us to places everyone should see and a few out of the way spots that were a pleasure to enjoy for a few moments. I very much appreciated his discussion about the historical importance of Wenceslas Square. He is knowledgeable and personable, a great person to spend a day with in a fascinating city.

This walking tour was wonderful! Even though it was 5 hours of walking, it was done at a lovely, relaxed pace, with plenty of time to take photos and soak in the atmosphere of Prague. Great small group of only 6, capably led by Jan. He did a great job of telling us all about his beautiful city. First time in Prague

Mark has an excellent knowledge of the city and kept the tour both informative and relaxing at all times. A good mix of history and modern attractions and a serene boat trip to round off the day.

Our tour guide Mark was excellent! He was so knowledgeable and eager to share his love of Prague. He also was well prepared with coins incase someone needed to use the public restroom. The lunch we had at one of the local restaurants was fantastic. If you're traveling with two or more people, I highly recommend sharing the pork neck and goulash. Delicious!

Micha Makes Prague Better

Micha (Michaela) is the best of the best! Micha’s English is superb American English. She is extremely bright and knowledgeable and studied at the Charles University, majoring in English and Italian with semesters abroad in Italy and Washington DC. The breadth and depth of her knowledge of Prague, Czech Republic and European History are incredible. In addition, her warmth and happy demeanor make her a pleasure to spend time with. Prague City Adventures 5hr tour

This tour was AMAZING! It gives you a chance to travel throughout the city learning about so much of its history and where the city stands today. Included in this tour is a traditional Czech lunch at the end of the tour which was absolutely delicious. Our tour guide JIRI (GEORGE) was hands down the best tour guide we could have asked for. He was so knowledgeable, kind and friendly the whole tour. If you have a chance to take this tour please ask for him to be your tour guide as I can assure you will not be disappointed.

Getting to know Prague

Our guide Mark, pictured next to my husband, was a great introduction to Prague. His groups are kept small so that you can interact and ask questions. He is flexible, witty, friendly and knowledgeable. He showed us how to buy tickets and ride public transportation, took us to a nice restaurant for lunch, and allowed the group to make some decisions. And h you can keep in touch with him for advice while in Prague through email. I would definitely recommend Mark.

Wonderful Prague city walking tour

Toured the city of Prague with Tereza Moravcova of Prague City Adventures. Tereza is the perfect guide as her English is excellent and she is incredibly knowledgeable of the city, its’ history, culture, and how to easily navigate your way through Prague. She is fun, interesting, smart, friendly, and very professional. I would strongly recommend her as a guide. 5 stars for Tereza.

Powerful Promenade around Prague

We were expertly and pleasantly guided by Tereza in our tour of Prague. We were able to see many sights and to experience the local food and beer. The best part of the trip was the explanation and perfect guidance by Tereza. She effortlessly ensured that we arrived at the perfect time for the ringing of the astronomical clock and for the boat tour while not seeming to rush us anywhere. Tereza ranks tops among my guides through many years of travel.

Best Experience with Jan in Prague!

Jan was such an awesome and friendly tour guide! He was able to give us more traditional Prague history and provide the local perspective on the city and its past, present, and future. He was super relaxed in his style in that we could ask questions, make any requests, and just have real conversations throughout the day. He added personal anecdotes when appropriate which really allowed for us to get to know and appreciate his perspective on Prague. Couldn’t recommend this tour more highly! Oh, and the traditional Czech lunch that is provided was SO GOOD. I really enjoyed it despite being a bit hesitant about the heavy sauces and meats.

Prague City history and culture.

Nikola was an excellent guide and gave us an overview of the beautiful city of Prague. She showed us many historical sites and also interesting side streets with local color. Loved the Charles Bridge looking at Prague castle.

5 hours in Prague and much much more!

This was a day that was well worth while and a highlight of our time in Prague. Our guide, Jan, was very knowledgeable and entertaining but also personable. We were looking to see the highlights of Prague but we were also wanting unique things that would make this tour special and memorable. Jan brought in personal experiences and took us to a coffee shop and restaurant that had meaning to him - both were delicious, by the way! As it turns out, there were only two of us on this tour so Jan was willing to accomodate the pace of the tour on a very hot summer day! We were also late getting to the meeting spot and Jan took extra steps to locate us so that we could start our adventure together. A very good investment of time and funds! Highly recommended!

Great historical knowledge.

Absolutely Amazing Tour! Nikola was so knowledgeable. She had answers to any questions asked. You did not feel rushed. I was amazed we finished on time. Although it was 5 hours, the time flew by. Nikola taught me how to use the tram also. She was so nice and personable. As I said she was a wealth of knowledge. I highly recommend this tour.
