The last island offered a perfect spot for a picnic, where we relished a meal amidst nature's splendor. The tranquil ambiance, coupled with the sound of the waves and the picturesque surroundings, made it a day to remember. I recently went on the Phi Phi Islands Tour, and it was an incredible experience! The snorkeling was amazing, with crystal clear waters and vibrant marine life. Lunch was delicious and provided a good variety of options. The pickup and drop-off service was punctual and convenient, making the whole trip hassle-free. Great tour

It was a well-organized tour with a lot of fun and relaxation. Especially tour guide "Sexy" is very energetic and managed the whole thing.

There are better tours

Pros: The locations visited were beautiful Cons: Things were noisy and chaotic due to the nature of the boat and having to share the ride with 60 people. The amount of time allotted at each location was too short to enjoy it properly. Lunch was barely edible and, unwitting to us at the time, the water was not potable. My son and I ended up getting violently ill immediately after lunch (vomiting and diarrhea) and couldn't enjoy anything in the afternoon. Food/water poisoning?

Awful and dangerous

Packed like sardines into a ‘speedboat’ that had high sides so no view. The skipper was smoking weed for lunch and I felt very unsafe. The islands whilst beautiful were completely engulfed by tourists who were everywhere- the swimming and snorkelling felt unsafe as getting in an out of the boat was a challenge with 60 people of various nationalities pushing there way in. I felt like I’d much rather send the day pulling the litter from the sea than participate in the cattle class dangerous tourism I experienced.

scam

this tour is a complete scam. first off, i bought the early tour because i read online that early is better for less people. we needed up getting picked super late (the tour was booked for 7am and we got picked up at 8:30). our shuttle kept breaking down on the road and we were late to the meeting point. we barely got time to enjoy the snacks. we then had a meeting and the guide said that the entire tour had to change due to low tide. we missed out on several things including snorkeling at monkey beach. we were really bummed out because snorkeling is our favorite and we felt scammed because they didn’t seem to care. we slso couldn’t stay at the spots for too long so the boat didn't get stuck. the tour was “supposed to be 9-12 hours”, but we were got for 7. at one of the beaches, you have to pay 150 baht to sit down. it was full of trash and overcrowded. i know this isn’t the tours fault, but it was definitely a location that shouldn’t be part of the tour. then at every stop, our guide was trying to sell us stuff, and made us feel super uncomfortable saying no. i thought this tour was only 50USD and i ended up spending double that due to stupid last minute fees. we ended up getting to snorkel but only once. they make you pay a ridiculous amount for losing your goggles, but encourage people to jump from the boat. several people did end up losing them due to being encouraged from the guide to jump off the boat. the whole tour felt like a money grab which made it not fun. seeing the islands were cool, but i’m just disappointed that they didn’t bother cancelling or rescheduling due to low tide. instead they made our tour way less without compensation. i would not recommend this company!

Phi looks good in pictures only !

It’s a scam. They take u to 3/4 islands .. for a 30/40 minutes stop. There is no crowd management or regulation of the speed boats and owners . The people are rude , no hospitality whatsoever inspite of the fact that we tourists help in their economic boom. They pack more than necessary people in a claustrophobic boat with no life jackets. I especially found the “relax marine” people really terrible. Heartbreaking to see polluted waters . Thailand is beautiful but the people are not . Would never bother visiting this place again

Was just ok

Was just okay… the locations ate great and our tour guide linley was a sweetheart but our boat was PACKED (literally could barely squeeze into my seat it was so uncomfortable with 1+ hour long bumpy boatrides)… also i guess that’s not the tour’s fault but the people on the tour were also not the best, super loud and disrespectful, that also did not help the experience… but maya bay and all were really nice so nothing against that

Well organized, worth it

The trip was so organized, Jenny our tour guide was very fun and informative. Very worth it for the price, food was delicious. Only drawback in the program that we stayed 1 hr at Khai island which was boring, maybe would be better if we stayed more on Phi Phi Don and had chance to explore more and check viewpoints.

Very efficiently conducted. Host was humorous and precise. Some announcements were only in Thai, which should be avoided.

Be careful what you ask for

Phi Phi islands are listed as a top tourist attraction for visitors to Phuket. The islands and swimming and snorkeling were OK, but we’ve seen and done better. The organization at the departure point was chaotic at best. Absolutely no guide from the tour staff, more trial and error and word of mouth from other travellers. Our tour guide had a voice like the Banshees of Ballantree and few of our group could understand her. It was even worse when she kept trying to talk over the 100 decibel din of the three 250hp outboards. An hour or so each way with that engine noise induced industrial deafness, would not be permitted in a Western workplace. OHS doesn’t apply here. The “delicious smorgasbord” was mostly deep-fried and was warm grease by the time we reached it. Don’t know how long it had been held at unsafe temperatures. This is a very popular tourist trip, so be ready for crowds and rushing and more crowds even in off-peak season.

Great for the value!!

The experience was great. Staff was very nice and accommodating. The island hopping was fabulous. I love how the long tail boat was included with this experience. Main reason why I booked!!

Great Day at Phi Phi

There were 71 people in our group. I had thought the group would be around 45. It's a big boat where you can't see out - so be prepared for that. Otherwise, the crew is awesome and very attentive!

Incredible

The reef snorkeling was the best. I am older and the staff was very helpful with me. Helping me in and out if the boats and making sure I was ok. This was wonderful. The weather was perfect.

Must do day trip from Phuket

Memorable cruise and lunch for my husband and me.

Smooth boat ride. A couple caught some spray a few times in the boat but it was fun and we all had a laugh. The clear blue waters were amazing. 6 crew on board and they all worked as a team making the whole experience fabulous.

Amazing Island Tour

The guides (Fah, Handsome, and Jade) were fantastic and super friendly! They made the experience exponentially better. The islands visited were beautiful and the snorkeling was so much fun! This tour was perfect!!

Our guides were so lovely. We loved “handsome” especially. Great opportunity to see beyond the mainland. Reapply sunscreen religiously!! All the boat mates made sure we arrived to each location safely. Even when someone did get hurt (I think a lady cut her toe) the team rushed to clean and cover it with a bandage. Would definitely recommend!

Phi Phi Islands Amazing

This tour was Amazing! Phi Phi islands are breath taking, white sandy beach crystal blue warm water and we fortunate enough to see a couple of monkeys.

Incredible day but hidden costs to be wary of

An incredible way to see Koh Phi Phi, an amazing experience and I would highly recommend taking a day to do this! Just one thing to be wary of, is the hidden costs that are not mentioned on here. You have the national park entrance fee which is mentioned but if you want to enjoy the day to the fullest, make sure to bring an extra 6000 baht to be covered. To use the long tail boat (so so so worth it) - it’s another 2000 baht. If you want to do scuba diving (we didn’t as not enough cash), it’s again 2000 baht, we got told we had to buy swimming shoes, which were another 350 baht each and just a note to bring a towel as they are another 450 baht each. So before we even got on the boat we had spent another 3600 baht. We didn’t mind spending the money but a heads up on the app would have been nice, we could have easily not brought money as lunch and equipment was included. Then right at the end when you get off the boat, they have this cute plates with individual pictures of you for another 200 baht. We would have loved one but had no money left due to having to buy the shoes etc. Jenny and her team were amazing but we were only able to tip 40 baht as this was all we had left. (They deserved so much more)

Best value for the money and all round experience

It’s an immersive tour which gives you a full day of experience. Just be sure to hydrate more than you expect to and you’ll be on the boat for a huge chunk of the tour. Worth the price.

Give It A MISS

It on every one list when coming to Phuket visit Phi Phi island. I am sorry to say your image of the island is different from reality. You should give it a miss. If you must go so be it. A rundown to expect. First thing is the boat. depends on what you pay , depends on where you sit. I payed 1800 each. My seat was on level 2 , which is ok at best. You pay more you sit on the upper deck with the sun shine. You pay less your in the bottom of the boat. THEY IS NO MOVING AROUND LEVELS, NO SNEAKING UP TO SUN DECK. The boat provides a free Lunch when you get to the island in there restaurant. The Boat offers snorkeling in the bay. for about 30-40 minutes. The problem every other tour operator offer the same package, and they all go to the same area. They could be a hundred people try to snorkel and look at the fish at the same time. The second problem, The island is crowded with lot of boat and people wandering around possible up to 1000 people. They is no beach at the town where you are dropped off. You could trek to the other side of the island in the time allowed which is 3 hours with out lunch. The town smell of diesel and petrol fume with all the boats coming and going. The Trip start at 7am pick up at hotel and back again for 6pm. It up to you If you want to go. They is other less crowed island to choose from.

Overall good trip but improvements could be made

Good trip, good lunch, and plenty of cold water and soft drinks on the boat. However, the boat was very cramped - they fill it to max max max capacity with people, so you’re sitting tight shoulder to shoulder with strangers in very hot weather, so it’s not too pleasant. The life jackets get in the way as well, as there isn’t any free space to put them. The boat rides are also quite long (1 hour out, 1 hour back), but the tour company can’t really control that. Some stops (Maya Bay and Monkey Beach) should be skipped as they’re just photo op places crowded with people. Monkey Beach is just a few minute pit stop where only the people seated at the front of the boat (5 people max.) can see the one singular money on the cliffside (you don’t get off the boat at this brief stop). Maya Bay is way over crowded with the washroom lineups being long (especially for the women), which takes up a lot of your time at this stop. The snorkelling was really cool though - we really enjoyed the snorkel stop at Phi Phi and the swimming/beach stop at Bamboo Island.

A fun day trip to PhiPhi

Au and his buddies (Sun, Porche and 2 others) were amazing. They make the entire trip fun, safe, interesting and most importantly treating you like a family. Au was very knowledgeable, funny and friendly. We have been on several tours through Viator, this is by far the BEST! Viator is just the middle agent to the local guide and it's boat operation.

Idyllic beaches

We saw the most idyllic islands with white sandy beaches and blue waters. Our guide Tommy was very knowledgable.

Stunning day out

Great family day out. Friendly and funny guides who gave us great tips and knowledgeable about the areas we went to. Stunning scenery which needs to be seen. It is a full day out, leaving hotel at 7 to return at 5. Snorkeling was a highlight.

Good day, but a long a day.

The scenery was beautiful & the staff were incredible. They made it so much fun for us. The only thing I would say is that it’s a really long day, & it’s quite crowded everywhere you go. But the company itself was awesome.

A super fun day out!

We took the trip to Phi Phi and Maya Bay in a speedboat. I was a bit apprehensive about being on a speedboat, not being too much of a fan of boats and water!! What fun! We were speeding along the ocean with wind in our hair and it was almost the best part of the trip for me. Maya Bay is beautiful but VERY crowded. Snorkelling after that was okay, but in very choppy waters due to the waves from passing boats. Lunch was supurb at Phi Phi Don. Plenty to eat. Bring a fair amount of cash as everyting is about twice to three times the price as in Phuket. This was probably my lowest point fo the tour but the operator cannot be blamed for this. It is what it is!! A coconut is 50 bhat in Phuket and 150 bhat at the last island. The last stop at Khai Nok island was great! Nice snorkelling in shallow waters and you are able to walk deep into the ocean at hip level in lukewarm waters. Again, VERY expensive drinks. Such is life! My wife and I, both 60 years old, enjoyed the experience. The crew is great, friendly, and very helpful. Buy your own snorkelling moutpiece and use their equipment. Note: the equipment may be faulty but ask for an exchange. They are happy to assist. Take sunscreen. They offer plent cold water, soft drinks, and snacks, free of charge. Enjoy!

Was an absolute fabulous day. Everything was amazing from start to finish, the crew were fantastic at helping you on and off the boat and Jenny and her crew mates helped to make the trip an absolute pleasure. One of my most memorable days. Thank you all so much. Worth every single baht!!

Organised, but overcrowded.

We started our day being picked up by a mini-bus. The driver was a little late so he was a little rushed when driving us there. I think it's best that all of our safety are top priority even if we were running a bit late. We got to a meeting area at the pier or dock where we registered our presence. I think we were supposed to be listening to a run down of the days schedule, but the building was so crowded that we just sat outside near the door to listen to what's said. We hopped onto the speedboat by 9 or 930am. I believe there were supposed to be light refreshments in the morning, but we didn't get any. I could be wrong. The things that were provided to us through the day are: 1. Water and coca cola during speedboat ride 2. Tamarind biscuits 3. Sea sick medicine (pick it up from morning counter before departure) Our first stop was Phi Phi Island and we were dropped there to swim around a little. At this island, the tour will offer you an additional option to go on a Long Boat Ride. 2000 baht per long boat, I believe. You can share with another couple or book a private one. The Long Boat experience is great if you want instagram pictures or a tour around the giant standing rocks. The tour company should explicitly state that if customers choose to go on the Long Boat experience, they will be missing out on their time for swimming around Phi Phi Island. We stopped at a lunch buffet after and it served 4 dishes, a few sides, fruits and water. The variety was limited but food tasted excellent! We were able to roam around on this island, where we found a dispensary so there's that, if anyone is wondering... We then went snorkelling for 30 minutes at another island, but it felt more like 20. Just the time taken to transition from activity and then back to boat. We then visited Monkey Island (where we weren't able to disembark for some reason). It was our luck, there was only 1 monkey hanging off the tree branch. I read other reviews and it seems that other customers had the same experience - not being able to disembark to go onto the island... I guess it's best to assume that this experience will only visit Monkey Island. After that, we passed by a local tourist island that was like a pit stop for late-lunch. Lots of food and drink stalls. Beach chairs were to rent. I recommend bringing a beach towel to sit and enjoy the view. Might be a bit sunny. Overall, the schedule was organised and the amount of time in water was fair for someone who doesnt love water activities (1 hour swimming at Phi Phi, 30 mins snorkelling). If you love water activities, you might find the trip a bit rushed. As for the tour guide crew, they were very thoughtful and nice. Our main host Jenny was very helpful to take photos of us and hold onto our phones while we were swimming around in the water! A few things that the operating company shoulder consider: 1. Sun safety: The tour is clearly overbooked. There is a sheltered area and unsheltered area on the speedboat. The tour company should only book enough customers to fit in the cool and sheltered area and leave the outside area as optional for photos and view. The poor people who sat at the front of the speedboat was sadly assigned that seat for the rest of the trip. This means sitting in the sun for a total of: 1 hour + 40 mins + 15mins and so on... I think they sat in the sun for up to 3 hours because there was no more space inside. Unfortunately, these people also missed out on the information and whole-group conversation with our tour guide Jenny because they were outside. It's unacceptable and disappointing, because even the tour guides knew to sit inside and stay out of the sun... yet it seemed okay for customers to sit outside in the sun for hours?? 2. Tipping: At the end of our day, the tour guide crew went around with a jar to collect tips. I think it somewhat puts public pressure onto us to tip. They should have announced that the tip jar will be left at x location if we would like to tip. I thought that that was a low blow. My tips if you go on this tour: 1. Eat breakfast! 2. Bring a toilet roll (no toilets visited throughout the day had toilet paper) 3. Bring sun screen and a hat 4. Try to secure a spot inside the speedboat, if you can.. book a tour that has a bigger boat. Some boats had full shelter and more space to move around. 5. Bring a beach towel to sit on

Not very good!

Not a very good excursion it was very unorganized and the water where they took us to snorkeling was smacking the boat everywhere so it was impossible to snorkel Also the Russian tour guide was ignorant and was loud ! In all my experience was not what I expected as we have done many tours in are travels!

Beautiful islands and clear water

We had a really good time on this tour. The tour guide Katie was amazing in helping me overcome my fears in the water. It was my first time snorkeling and seeing beautiful views.

A must but too short time

It’s a must to see but very limited time for snorkeling & swimming to enjoy the trip. All the stops were rushed.

Disappointing

I was expecting a bit more attraction and enjoyment. The description how it was described and the tour are not same, i felt like i never gone to some of the itinerary.

A very honest review of this tour

Just want to give everyone considering this tour a very honest, calm, not emotionally driven review of this particular tour. The tour guide Teah (might have been Teay) was great. Very friendly and helpful. Great grasp of English for English speakers needing to know that kind of thing. Very caring when we lost a couple of members of our group and we willingly suggested the tour boat leave us on Phi Phi. Teah and the crew were reluctant to leave us and cared about us having lost people (silly family argument - everyone is safe now) but, given we were in paradise, and a very safe one at that, we were fine to be left and didn't want to hold everyone up. I'm a little confused by the 97% trip advisor rating. I've a feeling that may have been built up over previous years of the tour running as, on our trip, Viking Cave was now inaccessible due to privatisation so we just glanced at it from about 200 metres away for about 30 seconds. We were then rushed to the lagoon where we could only swim outside of the buoyed-off middle area which led to a fair bit of crowding due to the other tours running at the same time. Expect to swim in the gorgeous middle of the lagoon, you have to pay a premium. At this point though, things didn't feel particularly rushed at least. We were taken next to Phi Phi Leh (I think), the home of the famous Maya Bay. This is really a sight to behold but it was incredibly busy with queues held up in single file on the narrow walk way. The view once you get onto the bay makes up for this though and, again, we were given at least enough time to enjoy this part of the tour. Next we had a very crowded view of Monkey Beach, just about squeezing in amongst several other boats, for a look at some monkeys on the cliffs for a couple of minutes. This bit very much was rushed. My main criticism was of the next part of the tour, the bit I'd been looking forward to most: the snorkeling. It felt really quite unsafe, mainly due to the crowding of the boats - again, several had moored in the same location for their respective parties to snorkel, with about 1m between each boat - and the rather blasé attitude of our boat crew to us all leaving the boat, in the fairly rough ocean, to then make our way, with no safety briefing of any kind, to the front of the boats. The tightness of the boats and the swell made me really quite scared once I got in so I essentially missed the part of the tour I was most looking forward to. This isn't the fault of any of the crews or crew members individually: it was peak season. But more organisation and less capitalism would make this part of the tour so much better. After this was a really very good, ample buffet lunch with vege options and then the family feud I mentioned cut the rest of our trip short. This having been the second time I've been to Phi Phi, I highly recommend just getting a ferry over without booking with a tour operator, spend a night in a hostel and explore the island at your own leisure. It is much more fulfilling, less busy and probably cheaper overall. This really isn't the way to do any of the things offered by the tours. Do one at a time if possible.
