What an absolute incredible trip from start to finish. The booking was easy & communication was on point from the start. We loved that whats app group so we could add all tour members. Pick up from hotel in posh van, safety brief & discussion about the days itinerary outside the office (refreshments provided) & all equipment, drinks & fruit provided on the boat. We were able to do exactly what we wanted, spend as much or as little time at certain spots & Nook was with us the whole day to guide, take pics & was fabulous with our 4 year old. Only a fraction of the price more than some of the other boat trips (not private) & 100% worth it. we would never book a joint tour again after this. Thanks so such a fantastic day out!

From the moment we booked the organisation was incredible. They made every single aspect of the trip so easy and enjoyable. From pick up at the hotel to the end of the day it was incredible. So easy to contact, speedy replies and always asking if there was anything else that could be done to make our day better. Professional crew who made us feel at ease and provided everything we needed like cold drinks, life jackets and snorkeling equipment. This tour is amazing! Guide was so kind & informative, service from crew was so attentive - so happy with the flow of the day and the incredible lunch recommendation. They even brought fruit & drinks out to the beach on a mat for us & the snorkeling was beautiful.

Family fun day

Wow, what a day! As a family group of 7 adults and one child we did the captains choice trip. It was amazing!!! We went to Maya Bay etc. Then we avoided the crowds, with our own snorkeling area's and seaside restaurant with amazing beach. Everyone agrees it was the best day of our amazing 3 weeks in Thailand Thank you so much

If You’re Not Taking This Tour, You’re Doing Phuket Wrong

Awesome time on the water. Beer and his crew were welcoming, profesional and easygoing, and we had a blast. Definitely recommend the Captain’s Choice. We swam, snorkeled, saw Phi Phi and, most importantly, had an early pick-up from our hotel and beat the crowds. Beer and his team were always one step ahead. We skipped the Burger King, ate with the locals (well, with the tourist-locals), saw a million beautiful fish and got some great pics to up our social capital. All in all, A+++, no notes. Thanks guys, you really earned your four stars this time.

Worth every penny

This was the best value and your. Private tour, customized to our needs. What more can you ask for? We had a wonderful day snorkeling and swimming with our guide. I couldn’t imagine being on a long tail boat. The water gets rough but it’s so comfortable on the speed boat as well. Our guide took as to excellent snorkeling spots and guided us in the water. He then brought us to an amazing lunch spot at a floating restaurant. I highly recommend this!!

A magnificent day!

It was a magnificent day in every way. The reception was quick and efficient, the boat is fast, spacious and comfortable. We were a family of five and we had it all to ourselves. The crew could not be more welcoming and efficient, specially 'Beer'. He chose the most beautiful places to stop, enjoy the beach and snorkle. And freshly cut fruit at every stop!! The children were fascinated by the whole thing. I cannot think of a better review to give. 10 points.

Wonderful trip with a great crew!

We had a very wonderful tour to Phi Phi islands with this company! We booked the tour at a very short notice, as we had a surprise visit from the family member. The team was very accommodating, and explained everything very clearly to us. We were watched over very well by the crew, which made us feel safe, especially given that we travelled with young kids. We also appreciated that the crew cared about the environment. I have to note that high safety standards was one of the reasons why we selected to travel with this company. Unfortunately, tourism industry in Thailand is still very lacking in this respect. And we as a family has stopped booking speedboat tours altogether due to a few very serious accidents that happened recently. So when some good friends recommended 5 Star Marine specifically for their focus on safety, it became quite an easy sell. We will book more tours with them in the future for sure!

Excellent experience

We had an amazing time exploring the Phi Phi islands. Noon and the crew were exceptional. They were very skilled and attentive and took many excellent pictures. I highly recommend the 5 Star Marine tours.

Fantastic private tour to the Phi Phi Islands

We booked a private day trip to the Phi Phi Islands for 8 of us - 2 families. Moo Moo was our guide. We had a really great day. The service offered was very professional from the day I booked, through to hotel pick up to drop off at the end of the day. The boat was very comfortable and in great condition. We had 3 crew for the day including Moo Moo. Moo Moo is an excellent guide. He is kind, considerate and very funny. He takes brilliant photos. He was great with the kids and even spent time showing my son how to snorkel. We really couldn’t have asked for a better guide. The tour was timed to avoid the busiest times of the day at Maya Bay so we managed to see it without the crowds. Although a private tour sounds expensive, it was probably only 20-30 per cent more between 8 of us than booking a regular trip, yet we had the whole boat to ourselves. When I saw some other boats and how many people were on them I was so glad we booked a private trip. The only thing to consider is that if you want to pay with a credit card there is a 5% surcharge which I wasn’t aware of beforehand so that adds a bit to the cost. Overall we had a fantastic experience and would definitely recommend and would book again.

Solo / Small Group travelers paradise - 5 star marine!

As a solo (female) traveller I cannot recommend this team highly enough! My visit to Phi Phi Island, Maya Bay and surrounding hidden gems was simply breathtaking! Every detail is well thought out, from the “off-peak” pickup time to the “shortcuts” between islands avoiding the crowds! Their website has ample videos to help you decide which tour suits you best. The captain and crew were extremely professional and handled the choppy waves with great ease. My guide Jessica was absolutely lovely, very knowledgeable and made the tour even more enjoyable. This private / small group tour option allows you to visit private beaches which other large size tours could not enter - not to mention you can stay as long as you wish since the tour is completely customizable! Snacks and refreshments are provided however the lunch at “Kruvit Raft” is simply delicious! The restaurant is on a floating barge near Coconut Island and has entered the Michelin guide consecutively since 2020! This tour was the highlight of my first visit to Phuket - thank you 5 Star Marine team!

What an amazing day!!

This trip is amazing. I would not hesitate to book again. Started the day with a transfer, Noy was lovely, friendly and on time. We headed to the marina for welcome food, and a plan was made. Boat trip was fab, although bumpy staff were helpful, and none of us were sick! The sites were amazing, snorkelling was great and the fish farm for lunch was amazing! The whole experience could Not have been better. Choice of drinks and fruit on board was great. Highlight of our 3 weeks in Thailand!!! Thanks so much to JJ and his team!

Awesome Phi Phi Island private boat tour

We requested great places for snorkelling and swimming as well as a nice beach spot for lunch. Jessica and the crew took us to picturesque spots around the Phi Phi Islands and to Coconut Island for an amazing Michelin star meal, the best and freshest seafood we’ve ever had. The crew were very knowledgeable and respectful. They even organised a birthday cake at the end of the tour for us. An awesome day out with the family, would highly recommend 5 Star Marine!

5 Star Marine, 5 stars in every way!

My husband and I did a private tour to Phi Phi Island. From the collection at our pick up to our drop off the service was EXCEPTIONAL! The crew on our boat was Kris our guide, Me our driver and Bobby our deckhand. Kris is a great guide, very patient and exceptionally knowledgeable especially when he took us snorkeling. The boat itself is in immaculate condition and the snorkeling gear we used looked brand new. As lunch was not included we asked Kris to suggest somewhere local and they took us to Intara Farm which was super special. On our return to top off the day we were given a 5 Star Marine “passport” with our picture Kris had taken which includes other tours they offer which we will DEFINITELY be doing and if allowed we will be requesting Kris to be our guide!

5 star marine deserve 50 stars!

Not that there was any doubt coming in, given their amazing reviews and the beyond exceptional communication/information provisions from very first enquiry…. But wow! What an incredible experience. My girlfriend and I had the most amazing time, the destinations were incredible, the boat was modern & super comfortable and the crew was simply outstanding. Our guide Chang gave us recommendations and advice of options available to us on our fully tailored trip and really made us feel like VIPs all day. He even helped guide us on our snorkelling swims and helped us order best local selections at our lunch stop restaurant. Massive appreciation goes out to all we dealt with as all were a wonderful part of making the day so special! Don’t miss it, just book it. It is obviously more expensive than a shared trip but delivers exceptional value and you will be thankful when you pull next to a boat crammed with people at a tourist site, that you chose private and especially 5 star marine!

A must-do in Phuket.

Second time using 5 Star for a private speedboat tour and it was just as good as the first. Hotel pickup was seamless, great guide and crew, fantastic route away from the crowds, beautiful snorkelling and a ripping blast home across a bouncy ocean as the sun set. I always recommend this company to any friends going to Phuket and look forward to using them again soon.

Bad bad bad

Bad service. They lied about the time it took to go from the dock to the island. Very rocky boat. It went from 60 mins to 120 mins to get to island.

The most wonderful experience

This company is simply the best. Please don’t look for a cheaper option, you get what you pay for. This is a quality company with superb ,friendly and helpful staff. They made our day one to remember forever, and our guide ‘Dream’ was incredible.

Brilliant from start to finish!

Incredible trip to Phi Phi! I couldn’t recommend 5 Star Marine more, they were brilliant from the initial booking through to our hotel drop off. I booked the private boat for my young family of 4, this gave us great flexibility, the ability to search places that bigger tours wouldn’t have, and is obviously a lot quicker! Special mention to Sexy Billy and the rest of the boat crew who know everything about Phi Phi and looked after us so well.

Awesome Experience

It was wonderful!! Highly recommend this tour. We hired two boats for our group. The boat trip was calm and comforting. Shout out to our tour Guide Nook and Guide Sunwa and our crew Captain Wa and Captain Yellow. They were so fun and really made us comfortable, they cared for our safety and were very detailed with what we were to expect. They provided plenty of fruit, water, and soda throughout the whole trip. Overall, it was a fabulous day! The floating restaurant was the perfect ending to our day. Don’t hesitate - these guys are amazing

I rarely leave reviews but wanted to say this We looked for a company that could provide a bespoke service to visit the Islands around Phuket. As always we read reviews and watched the videos via the co website and kept our fingers crossed as we booked our days. This has been a fantastic experience. From the ease of booking, accurate information, clear and constant communication prior to our days out, to the very attentive team on board, we could not have asked for more. The scenery is a show stealer, but this outfit made our experience absolutely first class- avoiding crowds at popular destinations. Take their advice and get up and out early - it really is worth it. The entire trip from pickup to the boat tour to the drop off was first class. It was an amazing experience and Noon, Sun and Kip did an extraordinary job in making sure we see all the best sights and also enjoy some time in some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. An incredible experience!

This was by far the best day of our holiday in Thailand! From the start we were greeted by “sexy Billy” our guide who was so friendly, smiley and happy! He and the fabulous boat crew were amazing looking after us and taking us to each place of interest. We also have loads of amazing photos taken for us too!! Highly recommend this tour! Great communication from the time of booking. Our guide and driver were waiting for us as scheduled when we got off our cruise ship. We were able to have a say in where we went and for how long during the day. They had plenty of cold drinks and delicious fresh fruit throughout the day. fantastic daytrip

what a day! got picked up from our hotel and greated very friendly at the pier. team was lovely and caring, the private trip to Phi Phi was amazing. the team on board adopted the tour to our desires. so we could stay at places less crowded and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. everything was just perfect. the owner and his team were busy filming for ITV (can’t wait to see the episode) so we could not personally greet him and thank for this lovely experience. we will definitely be back and book another tour. highly recommended

When I first looked for charters or private boat companies that could take us around, I was a little skeptical of there 5 star reviews BUT after booking with them, I now realized why there rated so highly. First off, service was top notch. From the communications leading up to the day and pickup from our villa was great. Our tour guide dewy and his team were awesome. Such fun and respectful guides. We had kids on our boat and they did everything to make the kids feel comfortable and even babysat for me haha. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!! AMAZING TOUR AND CREW AND WORTH EVERY PENNY

This is the BEST company I have ever dealt with on any foreign trip and we are going on about 60 countries now. WORTH EVERY PENNY. Excellent communication from the date the tour was booked. Lot's of messages via What's App providing details and answering questions and even called and asked a few more. The crew was amazing, friendly and welcoming. It was my daughter's 16th birthday and they went above and beyond to make it special, producing a cake out of nowhere half-way through the tour and even giving her a present. They deviated from the plan to allow for a second off-boat swim when asked and had all the snacks and drinks we mentioned we liked. We felt like celebrities pulling up on our private boat and see the large group tours trudging on and off their boats looking miserable. This is a special part of the world to see, off the well-beaten path and this is THE way to do it!! It was the highlight of our 10-day tour through Singapore and Thailand.

I could go on and on about my experience with 5 star Marine - our time with them, before, during and afterwards was exceptional! - the name is true. We booked in advanced from England, no deposit needed. They kept in constant contact (but not too much) with updates and checking in. Even checked in after our trip. They were so accommodating and even did an extra surprise for my father’s birthday! Out on board lunch was a picnic like no other! Our on-board staff were incredible, all 3! (I am terrible with names) but our deckhand, captain and guide! They went above and beyond for us. The trip wasn’t rushed and they made sure we got the most out of our time exploring and plenty of pictures! There were a lot of laughs, a lot of relaxing and a lot of sightseeing! A shout out to ‘Sexy Billy’ for being a top tour guide! If I am ever lucky enough to go back to Thailand, I will be booking another trip!

Great private tour for families and smaller groups

If you want to experience the islands around Krabi/Phuket with best possible preconditions this is a great/best option for you! We looked around for a private tour since we have 3 children and the tour and guide was amazing. They made our experience fit perfectly for our needs with great snorkeling. Boats were in good condition, the staff always very happy and positive and the islands (Phi Phi) was amazing to see. A day to remember for the rest of our life’s!

Have used a few tour companies now and these guys were definitely the best. From the moment I enquired to a few days after the trip, communication was perfect. Always checking in with great English too! The trip itself went very smooth with our guide Jessica providing lots of information and keeping us entertained. I’d do it again

From getting picked up at our hotel and to the end of our excursion, everything went perfect. We did a private boat. Just my girlfriend and I . Yes i paid but it was worth it. If it wasn’t private you would be riding with like 15 to 20 people shoulder to shoulder. I’m gonna have a panic attack sitting like that lol. We went to a few islands, enjoyed the scenery. Our tour guide was great. They cut up fruits and brought drinks for us. Snorkeling was fun . It was an amazing experience. You just have to do it

DREAM TEAM!! Our tour guide was professional, punctual, and very informative. From beginning to end, staff provided amazing service and communication. We were celebrating my mom’s birthday and Dream and the crew set up a happy bday sign, cake, and fruit platter on the boat. She loved it!! Views were breathtaking! Absolutely Amazing Private Boat Experience

Reached out to 5 Star Marine and we arranged a great one day private tour with custom itinerary from Phuket to Phi Phi Islands around 1 month before we were set to arrive. This included pickup from our hotel and return on a private van. We had a custom itinerary where we were able to visit Maya Bay super early before the crowds and got to go snorkeling twice throughout the day, hike up with our guide to Phi Phi island Viewpoints have lunch at a delicious local Thai Indian restaurant, lastly we finished off the day with some catch and release fishing. Onboard were fresh fruit and soda pop to keep us going throughout the day. Our private tour was made wonderful by our guide Chris who is very knowledgeable about the local vegetation/animals and where we could see the black tip reef sharks and answered all the questions we had throughout the day. Everyone on board the Sofiya was friendly and we had a great time. They also took photos for us throughout the day and sent us the images via dropbox and already had a printed photo of our group when we arrived back at the pier. Excellent Time with 5 Star Marine During our Custom Phi Phi Tour!

We had an incredible time during our custom Phi Phi tour with 5 Star Marine! As we were checking out of our hotel on Koh Lanta and checking in to our next hotel in Koh Yao Noi, we were looking for convenient transportation that could directly pick us up from one and drop us off at the other. Since we would be passing nearby Phi Phi during this transport, we decided to make the most of the situation and build a custom Phi Phi tour around the day! We reached out to 5 Star Marine to see if they could create a custom itinerary for us that included this hotel drop-off/pickup and they were happy to oblige. Our itinerary: Pickup from Pimalai on Koh Lanta Hitting up several of the "must-see" spots on Phi Phi. We were also able to do some snorkeling. Lunch at a fantastic seafood restaurant right on the water at Koh Yao Yai Dropoff at Six Senses on Koh Yao Noi Leaving early in the morning from their home dock, they met us at the dock of Pimalai right at sunrise. They expressed the importance of starting early so that we could see Maya Bay before all the crowds arrived (which is the best way to do it). From the first moments, the level of service and care they provided to my wife and I were unmatched. Our captain, Beer, and the rest of the crew made us feel like royalty while we were on their boat! They were extremely respectful towards us and made us feel incredibly comfortable. -Working with both hotels on timing/itinerary so we didn't have to deal with it -Getting our baggage on board -Meeting our needs of what we wanted to see the most -Helping to arrange for our tickets at Maya Bay -Carrying around our bags at Maya Bay so that we could take photos -Taking photos of us -Fresh fruit and cold towels for our face -Pre-ordering our food for lunch -Jumping in the water to check for jellyfish before we got in the water to snorkel -Fresh water shower after getting out of the ocean -Arranging for towels to be provided since we couldn't bring ones from the hotel The boat was in great condition and included all the amenities you would need (bathroom on board, coverage from the sun, speaker system, snorkel gear, water/sodas, snacks, etc.) If your budget allows, we highly recommend a private boat tour. We were able to navigate around the large crowds and it was so nice being able to quickly jump on and off the boat without having to deal with long lines. Your time in these special destinations is precious, so maximizing the places and experiences you can see and do in the time you have is extremely important. We would 100% recommend 5 Star Marine to anybody visiting Thailand.
