Hype Boat Club: Phuket 's Most Unique Catamaran Experience

So I chose to do this tour because it looked amazing for my birthday, to which was not even acknowledged on the day... I guess the day was set to fail from when we got picked up the tour van smelt like rank bin juice, like a full bin had spilled and never been cleaned up. Thus continued to collect the other passengers, arrived to Chalong Pier to their meet up point and received our wrist bands, everyone had the choice to sit inside or outside near the smoking area, we followed the guide to the pier and got onboard the catamaran "most unique" is definitely not it. A "welcome cocktail" is non alcoholic, just orange juice.. I paid full price for the top deck private lounger for 2 persons it was $343 AUD. We shared the area with other persons who had done the same however this area was not private and anyone could walk up which was annoying when we wanted to relax in peace and quiet which the other group were far from. Couldn't hear the emergency breifing, there are no speakers upstairs. I had managed to order a lunch box kit as I do not eat fish and that was delivered to me and quite nice, the staff were lovely, the drinks were alright, we ordered about 3 x 1 litre cocktails in our 6hr day trip.. the first stop to Banana Island and for a dip in the water was lovely, the temperature was perfect for me. Next we went to off the coast of another island and snorkelled for over an hour, There was a DJ on board but being upstairs you don't quite hear the music which wasn't all that bad if you want to talk. There is really no hype here, just a waste of money. Don't be fooled by the pictures. Pick a different day tour.

Amazing

Amazing trip! Day beds were such a treat and the staff was so kind! Food and drinks were great! The beach stop was fun- water was so warm. Snorkeling was great also

A must do trip!

Fantastic, well organised trip. From start to finish it was a great trip. The staff were so helpful and the trip ran seamlessly.

Took 3 hrs return to the hotel from the pier

5 stars for the boat service but 0 star for the return transfer service arrangement! IT TOOK 3 hours from the pier to the hotel (we left 7pm and arrived the hotel at 10pm).

Great Experience!

My husband and I did the catamaran that stopped at two different locations to swim and hangout. If you truly want to relax like we did choose a day bed on the top deck. If you want to party and mingle choose downstairs. The service was great. The food and drinks are what you would expect for a boat. If you are expecting 5-star food and drinks book something private. I would do this again it was a great way to spend the afternoon and experience a beautiful sunset over the bay.

Nice turn on a nice boat

The boat has great equipment and is very comfortable. The crew is very accommodating and nice. The only question that arises is why the DJ constantly plays Russian music while Russia is attacking Europe. That doesn't add to the holiday mood.

Good and Bad points - not what we expected but not awful experience

Good: The boat and boat staff are lovely, the food is good. We booked a bed on the top deck, nice and relaxing private space. The trip to the first beach is lovely and you have a decent amount of time to relax in the sea before some more relaxing on the boat to the next stop. At the next stop you can dive into the sea on the boat, snorkel or paddle board with equipment provided Bad: The boat party is more wedding disco than dance boat (music and guests) - a great time can be had still as long as you expect this. Music is loud and there is dancing on the return journey only, before this time you will not hear the music on the upper deck as too low and muffled. Getting off the boat at the beach is tricky with the platform bobbing in the waves like some challenge in Total Wipeout, left me with a very large bruise getting off the boat but it is what it is and no big issue. Finally they make you remove your shoes when in the boat and return them in a big bundle at each shore stop, my shoes were taken by another passenger, boat staff found some spare flip flops for me to travel home in but the language barrier meant little was done before people left the boat and the general attitude was that it was unfortunate but not their problem. If going on the trip find a way to mark your shoes clearly or wear some you don’t mind risking losing

Best boat trip ever

Hype boat was a great trip. Friends hired it for a wedding party and we were met with fun and friendly staff, a fabulous boat, and a great party. Best boat I have ever been on.

They do not allot proper...

They do not allot proper seating arrangement . We are couple , they adjust us with very bad persons who continuously scold us . They repeatedly ask us to leave and take money . But after 2 pm only hype members changes our seat. Rest all is good

Great day

This was a very relaxing day. The music was great perfect level of loude. We had seats in the lower area which were covered, this was nice since it was hot.

Good Vibes, food and drink!

Fun trip with good music and food. Ideally request a private top floor bed if you can. You can stay on the boat if you don’t fancy going ashore.

Hype Catamaran

Great boat, great ride. Friendly crew and great service. The DJ played great music the entire trip. The dj took requests from guests which was very fun!!

Awesome trip you shouldn't missed when come to Phuket!!

The view were amazing! The food and services was great, they always come to ask us if we need any drinks or not. Overall we really satisfied with this trip

Very Good

We booked the front section on the left side and it didn’t disappoint. Drinks selection at the bar is good. The food was not that good but we didn’t mind. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Both the stopover at Coral Island and Racha Island was enjoyable. We saw plenty of fish under the Catamaran and not so many away from the boat. All good though.

It was an OK experience not luxury

Lots of waiting around, sometimes felt very unorganised. Staff could have been more attentive. We were on the upper deck. There was rain and high winds during our crossing. Not once did any staff member check on the people on the upper deck. To see if they were ok. Enjoyed our day despite the weather.

Best experience with best crew of all time.

It was the best experience. The crew were the best and very kind and helpful, they speak englisg fluently, they were sweetest, i can not get over of this. I had a seasickness and they were so caring. The DJ was the coolest with best playlist.🤘🏻 The Captain was really friendly. Food?!? OMG, was really delish with lots of choices, The sushi was beyond good. That was such a 5 star services, i’ll definitely come back and highly recommend this to everyone. Once again thanks.just luved it. And i wanna try YONA next time.

Good trip

The snorkeling points is better than I went before, the boat is big enough also more comfortable than the small one. Good trip

Great day enjoying the beautiful coastline of Phuket.

Great boat. Excellent lunch provided on board. Fun and helpful crew. Booked the downstairs to have some shade and glad we did. Well priced drinks. Book the 3pax area to ensure privacy if you don’t want to share area with other people.

Great holiday day trip from Phuket!

It was a great experience! Food was good, music was great and the staff were wonderful! We would certainly do this again! Worth the money. Drink prices were fair.

Private Charter was a great trip.

This trip was excellent from the private location of the yacht to the wonderful view with astonishing service and perfect sunset cruise. They even had my favorite rose on the menu what I think you can’t get on any other tours.

Energetic and Relaxing Boat/Beach/Snorkeling Day

Really enjoyed this tour, the boat takes you to a relaxing little beach and then to snorkeling by a reef. The boat was nice, although if you get seated in the upstairs daybeds, you can’t really hear the music and it’s much hotter— I would have preferred being on the main level. The service was pretty good, although drinks were pricey for Thailand— we spent about $60/bottle for champagne (after the first complimentary glass— they take credit cards as of April 2023). They served a buffet when you start, but then the food gets put away so don’t expect a full buffet the entire time; however, they do serve snacks during the trip. The DJ was really good, he knew what he was doing on that spin table. Only strange thing was they make you take off your shoes before you enter the boat, so everyone is barefoot. I didn’t mind but I know some people would mind. They provide snorkeling equipment and even opened up the upstairs plank for you to jump off the boat once you reach the snorkeling area, which was really fun. The boat was in excellent condition, so I felt very safe and comfortable aside from the heat upstairs. I’d do this excursion again if I’m in Phuket, but next time I’m insisting a downstairs seat.

Horrible experience/ all lie

Do not get fooled by their pictures and lies!! It is fraud. It is not even close to luxury experience. They ripped us of by selling the luxury party idea, however it was more like kindergarten place with parents. Do not waste your money and time!!! They do not follow any sort of contract/ policy, so forget about money back. Chinese owned company, no one is responsible for this fake tour, barely understand English ( impossible communication). The only thing they repeat is “ SORRY NO REFUND!!!” Highly recommend to stay away from this tour.

You can’t get better than this

Super great catamaran boat. Best in Phuket. Hope everyone try this and will be happy 100% great service, amazing food from starters, main dishes, wonderful drinks and cocktails, quality people and staff. DJ plays unforgettable music. Nice

Classy experience on the open seas

Great experience. Summary - a great experience south of Phuket on a stylish boat, with excellent music and food finishing up with a cruise back to Phuket when watching the sunset. Certainly recommended and we'd probably even go again when we return to Thailand! Boat - large catamaran with two decks, a large bar area, decent music, toilets and both covered and uncovered areas. General vibes come down to who the other guests are, which of course could be variable! We sat on the top deck on a comfortable futon type thing, which was great. Schedule - interesting day out. We visited banana beach on one island (quite a bit to see there) then travelled to another island further out where we went for a swim off the boat. On the way back we cruised and watched the sun set off the west of Phuket. Sublime. Food and drink - they don't mess around! Lunch was served very efficiently and a great selection of Thai snacks and sushi. A large drinks menu also is provided with quick service throughout the day. Service - staff were excellent throughout. The trip included a hotel pick up and drop off and we were checked in at the port. Value - costs more than other boat trips in the area however certainly good value for money. The trip has more of a VIP vibe to it which makes everything feel better experience wise.

Fantastic Experience

We had a fantastic experience on the catamaran. The stops to swim and snorkel weren’t rushed and the scenery was incredible. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The food provided was delicious and the sunbeds were a great way to travel. The dance music was fun too.

Must do experience

We took this boat trip on Christmas Day in 2019 ( adults only) and again this Christmas ( boxing day) with our teenage son and on both occasions came away very happy! The service is second to none and the the atmosphere on board is great! Food provided was delicious and the places visited worth every penny!

Hype boat - worth the hype!

Man oh man, a time was had! We were picked up promptly from our hotel and carried about 20 minutes down to Chalong Bay. The ground staff was absolutely fantastic, check-in was a breeze and the energy was already starting to go up. We were shuttled down to the pier where they were taking photos prior to getting on the boat, so fun! We got on the boat and headed upstairs to where our day bed was which was perfectly situated at the back, nearest the stairs. Dropped our stuff and immediately headed downstairs to grab a drink at the bar and catch the vibe. You could order drinks by the glass, half and full carafe - we got a half of mai tai and off we sailed! From the start it was lit! Music playing and food served not too long after we sailed off. At the first stop, everyone gets off (yes, EVERYONE) and you head to the beach club. One thing to note is the chairs at the beach club are included with your boat tour, i dont recall them sharing that info The day beds are extra! This beach was gorgeous and the DJ’s set was so super chill We ordered drinks and enjoyed the warmth of the water and lounging in a chair. The second stop was a place to dive and snorkel. Some folks even paddle-boarded, which was cool. We just sat on the edge while dangling our feet in the water and kicking it with our new mates. The ride home was spectacular with food, music, lots of drinks flowing and dancing. I mean just ALL the things. When I come back to Phuket, Hype will def see me again!

Hype was the best experience experience I have had in my 13 days stay at Phuket! Amazing stuff, music and people! Made a lot of good friends from different parts of the world. Highly recommended!!

Great experience, horrible dj

Staff and crew were great. The people on board, great. The stops and islands were awesome. The DJ did not however know what he was doing and was persistently playing old techno remixes against popular demand. He literally killed the vibe on the 2 hour return cruise back.

Wonderful day on the water

Was a great day. Nice to just relax and slowly go from place to place. Definitely was not enough food for the time you are on the boat and the amount of alcohol consumed. The food they did provide was amazing and fresh. Just definitely need two food times not just the one at the beginning of the day. Everything else was amazing. Drinks were great. Staff were wonderful. Would definitely take this trip again (if more food was provided).

Good

The experience is great if you’re a young adult looking to relax then party but the time you do spend sailing is a lot longer than the time you stay to snorkel and see the islands would definitely have preferred to see one more place or snorkel one more time as you have to wait an hour and a half to 2 hours to get back to shore as they start the dj and party overall drinks are good staff are super friendly but time could’ve been used a lot wiser

Brilliant Day Out!

What a brilliant day out we had! We met at Chalong Pier at 11am where we went through a quick check in process and were presented with wrist bands for boarding. We boarded the boat at 1130am and were soon on our way sipping on our complimentary cocktail and enjoying the music. The Italian DJ was great, someone told us he plays at Illuzion night club now and again. A buffet lunch was presented around noon and we were both very impressed with the quality and amount of food, and it was delicious. There was even tom yum soup! After lunch we stopped off at Banana Beach on Koh Hey where we spent an hour swimming and snorkelling. And the beautifully coloured fish swimming all around us, what an experience! Once back on board we cruised off to another area where we stopped in deeper water and you were able to dive off the boat or go for a snorkel if you wished. Once back on board and the alcohol started to kick in the party really got going with people up dancing to some great dance music. The crew were brilliant, as were the bar staff. We got back to Chalong Pier around 630pm after having one of our most enjoyable days out ever! For a couple we paid a total of 6,600 baht which was for the private day bed. No need to bring any towels as they are provided, just your swimsuit. If you are considering booking do not hesitate, especially if you enjoy a good party. Cant wait to go back to Phuket and get back on the Hype party boat!

Best day ever! 100% recommend!

Amazing experience! Out of all the tours and activities I did in Phuket, this was my favourite, it was undoubtedly the best! From start to finish, it was extremely well organized and super fun. Pick-up and drop-off went very smoothly. The yacht was clean, spacious and looked great, took lots of lovely pictures. The food and drinks were plenty and tasty. The DJ was absolutely amazing, the music was so good. The staff were friendly, kind and very helpful. The islands were beautiful and the snorkeling was excellent, saw so many beautiful fishes. We went to Coral Island (I did parasailing on the beach, absolutely wonderful) and Maiton Island (best snorkeling spot in Phuket). I went solo and was nervous about what the crowd would be like, however the crowd was great and very diverse; there were couples, families, friends, other solo people. People of different ages and countries and everyone was so friendly, fun, and was there to have a great time. I made friends and we all partied and danced, had an absolutely brilliant time. There is absolutely nothing bad to say about this trip. No matter who you are or who are with or solo, you will enjoy this, so definitely do not miss out on this!

Great way to lounge, drink, and groove to a DJ on a classy boat

This experience is highly dependent on the group of people who book the tour. For us, our group had more couples, so the whole experience was chill beach club type of vibe with private lounge tables and community day beds to lounge around. I can see how this can potentially be a party boat, but it’s a little hard to dance in the boat without falling over with a few drinks. The boat makes two stops, a remote beach and an area for snorkeling. Both stops I did not really care for, the boat experience was just what our group signed up for, and would recommend to anyone who is looking for this type of experience.

Hype is definitely my strong recommendation to friends on their future holidays in Phuket.

It’s a very relaxing and comfortable one day excursion. The services are well planned from hotel pickup, transferring to jetty and boarding the catamaran. Onboard services are professional including the compartment sofa seating for individuals, lounge bar, DJ and friendly crews. Double thumbs up 👍👍

Fun but painful

The music was good and the overall atmosphere was super fun! They do their best to accommodate diets and there was plenty of food, seating, etc. Coral Island was beautiful. We boarded a speedboat from the Hype boat to reach the beach. However, we were not given our shoes back before we arrived at the beach. This created an issue when we had to go back onto the blue floating walkway to get to the speedboat (which was the very last one) because the walkway was boiling hot. It was very painful and i’m sure everyone on that boat bonded that day over having burned feet. This is why i’ve taken off a star. Word of advice: Ask for your shoes back before you step foot onto the beach!

You have to join

It was a amazing day. Everyone was dancing, drinking and diving. Awesome DJ and staffs gave us confortable and gorgeous experience. Including there was a photographer who was hard working on recording our memories in boat. It’s not like phi phi island that is like a adventure activity, most of time seating on the ship to move. This Hype Boat is more chill, and you are free on the boat. move around, chatting with others, dancing in front of DJ, lying on the couch with sunshine.

If you want a relaxing cruise look elsewhere

It should be renamed dance club tour. The music was so loud you couldn’t even talk to the person next to you. Snorkeling stop was average. Mask and snorkel supplied but no flippers. It was to deep. Could barely see fish on bottom. Flippers needed to get down to fish.

Horrible experience, complete scam

Don’t get on this boat unless you want to be scammed and starved for 6 hours. Horrible service!! My friend and I booked this after seeing some ads on Instagram but we were shocked. They provided us with absolutely no lunch even though they stated they would in the booking details. When we asked the staff they said they had already served it and all the food had run out. Totally unacceptable! At least stock enough food for your passengers who paid $$$ for it. Staff were so rude. Horrible experience, never again.

What an amazing day spent on the ocean. The staff were friendly and the food and drinks were really good. Definitely recommend this

Fun way to explore the islands!

This experience is a must do. Decided to do this on a whim. We didn't realise until we got on the boat that we get sea sick which was a laugh! Really enjoyed the stop off at the first beach/island as it was so beautiful. Gorgeous sea! Staff were attentive and very nice. We bought the upstairs beds to ensure we could really chill out, otherwise you do risk only being able to sit at a table (there are spare beanbags but not everyone downstairs can sit on them as not enough). Can't really comment on the food as felt too sick to eat! 2nd part was snorkelling which was amazing, you get to see fishes amongst coral. Then when travelling back we were pleasantly surprised with dolphins alongside the boat! The DJ was good and played English hits. People got quite drunk and had a dance which was funny. Our tip would be to ask around for different prices as we learnt that others had gotten the experience for almost half what we paid!

Must do in Phuket

Don’t write reviews often, but this was the highlight of our Thailand trip. We went as two families with teens. Recommend this over the more commercial Phi Phi island trips that we did also. This was 10X better with drinks, food, alcohol and an amazing and attentive staff that were very helpful and caring. We are all vegetarian and they had wrapped separate food and apps for us. The DJ also works and DJs at Illuzion and plays amazing music. Just do it.
