Had a memorable experience with the team. Our cooking instructor and assistant was very helpful and friendly. The whole program went really smoothly. 2 vans picked us up at our hotel and they were on time. We went for a quick visit at the afternoon market and cooking instructor showed us around and shared with us some the common ingredients used for Thai dishes. Then there was another 20 mins drive to the the actual cooking class. The main gathering area was air-conditioned and there were welcome drinks and snacks. Additional drinks were available for purchase. Cooking class was in a separate room, enough fans to cool us down during the hot weather! Instructions were clear and the facility was generally clean as well. We got to cook and eat our own dishes at the end of the program. Really easy and fun experience with colleagues. Would recommend for team-bonding sessions or couples who want to learn to cook simple thai dishes!

Fun day great experience

Great experience fun time got to pick the dishes we wanted to prepare and then we had what we cooked for lunch. Staff are really friendly.

Great way to do a tour of the local market and get hands on experience on preparing 3 dishes and a dessert. The 2 instructors were very helpful and gave us the best guidance.

Had an great experience learning about the produces and ingredients along with the cooking a few dishes. The course is well timed and perfect for amateur cooks and tourists. I would have given it a 5/5 if I had learnt and made the paste then. But again I am not really complaining about it.

We absolutely loved our experience at the Thai Cooking Academy! We started at the market learning more about local ingredients. We loved this class because we were both able to choose our own separate dishes! We each cooked 4 different dishes & learned a lot about cooking Thai food. We would highly recommend anyone coming to Phuket to do this class. They have a morning and afternoon option & it was just a few hours!

Nil was fantastic! We really enjoyed the whole experience, from the market tour to the cooking class. Nil also helped us pick out items we wanted to purchase from the market separately, and it was great to have her help us talk with the vendors in Thai. Her cooking instructions were very clear, and the teaching class makes the prep easy. Fun activity to do with your group.

This was a great experience - I highly recommend this for groups, singles and couples. If u really want to learn more, I’d suggest Pvt lessons which they do offer!

Great Thai cooking class with Chef Newle !!

Great Thai cooking class in Phuket. Best part about this class is that before going to market, you are given choice of dishes you would like to cook and learn. Firstly, you start by learning the recipe, getting to know ingredients and then do some chopping! After that it was time to cook. Fun, yummy and an overall lovely experience with professional set up and great follow up recipes provided. Chef Newle was so friendly and helpful throughout the class. The recipes were simple to make and tasted amazing. Never once did I feel rushed or stressed throughout the class. Will visit again next time, when in Phuket for sure, Thanks again Newle !!

New recipes for my arsenal

We lucked out and had a private class, because no one wants to get out of bed early while on vacation! Totally enjoyed everything about this tour, we visited the local market and sampled many fresh fruits, we had an opportunity to purchase local treats etc. The food was delicious and very easy to prepare and take your new skills home.

Fantastic experience

Just had an amazing afternoon at the Phuket Thai cooking academy. They took us to the local food market first and showed us around. My son and I made 4 dishes each back ant the ancademy and they tasted even better than how they do in the restaurants. Sky was a great teacher and we couldn’t believe how easy it is to make Thai dishes. We ate what we cooked and they boxed up the leftovers to take back to our hotel. There was a LOT of food so please come hungry. Thank you so much for a brilliant afternoon. 🙏

Great but Viator provided false information

The market trip and the cooking class were excellent. I'm disappointed because I called Viator before booking to check to see if pickup from my resort. I was told it was so I booked. I was then told it would be 400 Thai bhat for transportation. Since it was a rainy day, I reluctantly agree to pay even told I was told by Viator that my resort was covered. Imagine my surprise after cooking class to be billed 800 thai bhat. I was pointed to the word pax in emails. I had no clue that is what pax meant. In the US, we use pp meaning per person. Again, market trip and class were great. Viator giving me misinformation ... not so much.

Market tour and cooking school was amazing!! The instructors were super nice, patient and very knowledgeable. The facilities and the food we cooked were excellent. We had a great experience and HIGHLY recommend it!!

A great cooking experience in the jungle

Just got back to our hotel 30 mins ago after the cooking lesson. From hotel pick up to groceries marketing to cooking, eating our own cooked food, and hotel drop off - it was a smooth transition and a fun experience. As there were only 4 of us in the group, we had full attention from our teachers. Easy to understand as our teachers spoke great English and helpful. Now, we have no excuse for not cooking great Thai Food when we get home.

Recommended cooking class

My partner and I were able to choose individual dishes and this was great as I am vegetarian and he is not. The class was informative and helped us see how things are put together. Can't wait to get home and see if we can replicate some of the dishes. Newl and the team were awesome

Great cooking experience in Thailand

Exceptional experience! We only had a small group with us …a group of four which was great! Market first and then the cooking class. The chef/instructors were lovely and the class was easy for any level of experience! Definitely worth it!

i love the place , the experience , the instructor and the yummy food i made😍😍 it worth the time and the money i enjoyed my time very much.. you can also buy some tools & spices from there i buy a knife was ver sharp but very light weight in hand 👌

Best Thai cooking experience with a fantastic, patient and informative cooking instructor

Such a great experience! I reserved my day via FB messenger not know what to expect. We were picked up on time from our hotel and met our chef Newle at the local food market where she explained all the different ingredients that is used in Thai cooking. We got to try some of the different fruits. We then went to the venue and everything was already prepared for us . She went through each dish that we chose to cook and I must say she is brilliant! We all cooked 4 different dishes each and they all tasted amazing! So totally worth the money and they were the best dishes we have had so far in our time in Thailand!! Can’t wait to go back home and remake some of the dishes. Well done go Newle and her colleague. Highly recommend Thai experience as she taught us so much and my teenage daughters loved to cook too.

Awesome class with Christine !

Attended a morning class on March 17, Christine was my allocated Thai chef and mentor for the 5 dishes I selected. Started the day with a tour of the local market with Christine providing amazing knowledge of Thai produce and ingredients for all types of dishes. We then headed for the kitchen / class room to commence preparation and cooking. The dishes I chose were Massaman Chicken, Black Pepper beef, Satay Chicken, Deep fried banana and Glass Noodle Salad. With Christine's expert guidance, we prepared all dishes and then once ready, we proceeded with the cooking component. After all dishes were completed, I then sat and sampled portions of all meals of which were absolutely amazing. On a previous visit to Phuket I had completed a cooking course in Patong with another company, however this course with Phuket Thai Cooking Academy in my view was far more professional and provided much knowledge, hints and tips and learning a variety of skills associated Thai cooking. Thank you Christine and Phuket Thai Cooking Academy, I had a fantastic time and will definitely be back. As Phuket has become our favorite annual holiday destination now for the past 6 years, I'm looking forward to learning another 5 dishes in March next year, hopefully again with Christine ! :-)

Great Time

A really fantastic afternoon. Very clean and comfortable cooking space with an excellent teaching team. Thai food can seem intimidating to cook but the instruction made it all too easy and stress free. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone considering taking a lesson.

We had a great time at the cooking class. The market was really cool. The staff was nice and fun and helpful. It was a nice setting. And the food turned out great. We are all foodies and we’re not disappointed.

fantastic unique experience

we went as a family of 5, our youngest is 12 but we each picked our own dishes and worked alongside one another but alone. It was such fun! The food was of course delicious but what made it special was our teenagers ability to cook, learn and eat afterwards. It inspired all of us, the staff were great and friendly,

Phuket cooking class academy

We both enjoyed our cooking lesson, it started with a tour of the markets then to the academy. Everything was well prepared and spotlessly clean. We had fun and learnt a lot. Nothing went to waste, what we didn’t eat we could take home or leave it for the dishwashers or they gave it to the neighbours. We were picked up and had a nice tour before we got there so we got to see another part of Phuket.

Worth doing

Teachers and chefs were fun and switched on. Understood and spoke English very well. After being picked up from motel ( included in price from Patong) we were taken to the food market and shown around before being given the chance to buy some fruit. From there we travelled to the cooking school, where we cooked our chosen dishes. We were each given the choice of 5 dishes, including a desert, after which we ate what we had cooked for lunch, then returned to our motels.

Most fun ever

Its a bit weird when you get dropped off at a 7/11 in front of markets, but once the ladies from the class pick you up its great fun. The recipes are easy to follow and its brilliant everyone cooking their own dish but everyone doing it at same time. The food tastes amazing. Class is well organised. A must do

This was an excellent class with a good teacher and great atmosphere. Plenty attention to detail and lots of dishes. I highly recommend.

Cook Authentic Thai Dishes!

My partner and I were really lucky to enjoy a private, exclusive cooking session with Chef Kristene as the other participants who signed up for the time slot rescheduled their booking. The session includes a two-way transport from our hotel. Our transport was a cute little red bus. We met Chef Kristene at the local Kathu wet market where she patiently introduced the different types of ingredients commonly used in Thai cuisine. After the tour in the market, we got back on the bus to get to the cooking school. The cooking school is air-conditioned, clean and well-equipped. The kitchen oversees a quiet hill and you get to enjoy the scenic view. We totally enjoy the fuss-free cooking experience! To add on, the entire experience was enhanced by Chef Kristene’s bubbly personality. She made the cooking session fun and engaging for us! We were totally impressed by how our food turned out (5 dishes per pax). Delicious and also beautifully plated - check out the photos! They look like dishes served in a restaurant! Price for the cooking class is reasonable and value-for-money. Highly recommended!

Incredible food... and views!

We booked onto this through a travel agent, and wow it was amazing! Picked up from our hotel, and taken to the market where we were asked to select the dishes we would be making. We were then taken on a tour of the market, given tasters and explanations for each Thai ingredient and how they are incorporated into the dishes. We were then given 15 minutes to look around the markets for ourselves. We were then transferred to the cooking school. Wow- what a place! The house was gorgeously Thai, with the most amazing view. Everything was prepared for us, all of the ingredients were laid out for us ready to go. We went through each dish, preparing it as we go. Then we cooked all of the dishes in one go. At the end, we sat and ate all of the dishes together. What was fantastic was that we didn’t all have to cook the same thing, so there was a real array of dishes to choose from! Thanks to the staff and Christine for her patience and help. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for something a little different to do!

Incredible - would do again in a heartbeat!

This was such an amazing tour, our favourite of the trip so far! We had a private class as we were the only two people booked on. The market tour was amazing! I had no idea that there were so many types of vegetables here! The class itself was so cool. Christine was professional, funny and super helpful. We made 5 different dishes and each one was delicious. I was amazed at how great all our dishes turned out and that was fully down to christine's patience and knowledge! This tour is a must and I am so happy we did this. Thanks so much!

Must Do Cooking Class

Fantastic 1/2 day cooking class. 5 courses to choose from. Return transport and market tour included. Great instructors and delicious food that you were able to enjoy that you had cooked yourself. Highly recommend for beginners to experienced.

Saturday Morning Thai Cooking Class

Oh gosh, where do we begin! This cooking class was phenomenal!! They picked us up at our hotel which was super convenient, right away we were taken to the market which was very informative. They explained what foods we would be using and foods that were common to Thailand. We even got to try some of the fruits right there in the market! Then we were taken back to the Academy which was absolutely beautiful. Views of the mountain from each cooking station. Ingredients were already wrapped up and portioned. No prep was necessary. (Again, super nice). We then chopped up all of our ingredients and got to cooking! Food was incredible. Afterwards we ate as much as we could fit and then took the rest as leftovers for dinner. Leftovers were still amazing! On the ride back home, I realized I had forgotten my sunglasses in the pocket of my apron! We called the academy and they were already trying to figure out who they belonged to. Then their driver brought them all the way back to our hotel for me. Wonderful service even after the experience was over. Highly recommend to anyone!! This cooking class is a must-do for anyone staying in Phuket.

Had so much fun. My wife , who is a great family cook, and I enjoyed the morning cooking together; laughing; having fun. Learning more about cooking Thai food which we both love.

Highlight of my trip!

I love cooking and this was a great way to learn about Thai cooking. We were picked up from our hotel, visited a market where we learnt about ingredients and then were taken to the cooking school. The ingredients were prepared we just need to cut and cook as we had already chosen our 5 dishes. Definitely recommend doing the morning class as you will eat the dishes for lunch and you can take away any leftovers! Everything was explained well and we even learnt how to make coconut milk and cream. The facilities were clean and the staff were friendly.

Our group of 4 had such a great time at this cooking school! We were so impressed by the service, the quality of the chef, the extensive food menu and the overall cooking experience! Highly recommend this cooking class to anyone looking for a beginner insight into the art of Thai culinary!

6 Star Authentic Thai Cooking Class

This was another highlight of our trip. Highly recommend this cooking class. Experienced authentic thai cuisine in a traditional Thai home overlooking rainforest. Really enjoyed our visit to the food market to. Very educational. Our tutors were excellent, so friendly and spoke great English.

An essential step for becoming a Thai chef

I always think the Thai dishes are delicious and finally I had a chance to cook my own dishes. The kitchen was located in the mid level of hill, thus cooking there can enjoy a great view. We are a large class consisted of 15 people, but the class was managed in an incredibly well order. The instructions for cooking were clear and even a layman to kitchen can go through step by step. After the class, you can enjoy your own tasty products.
