Amazing visit to Versailles

This tour was an excellent way to maximize your visit to Versailles. Dina, our guide, was outstanding, and I would recommend that you ask for her. Versailles is such an expansive property, but Dina was able to pinpoint must-see areas and provide important historical stories to bring the whole experience together. We were picked up at our hotel in a comfortable and clean vehicle that brought us directly to Versailles, which added to a fantastic experience. I highly recommend this tour.

Full Day Private Tour of Versailles

We had a full-day private tour for four at Versailles and it was terrific! Olek was our guide, and I cannot imagine someone more knowledgeable and more engaging. He brought the history alive, and now--unfortunately for all future guides--has set the bar for what it means to be a tour guide. Absolutely excellent. Highly recommend this provider.

Stress free Versailles

We enjoyed a full day tour of Versailles yesterday with Soline as our guide. She was very knowledgeable and the tour she provided was well planned, while also taking our interests into consideration. Versailles truly is immense! It was wonderful to get picked up from our hotel and have Soline take us to interesting spots at Versailles and provide historical insights. We felt we were able to benefit a great deal from this.

Intimate Tour with History Lesson

My girlfriend and I had a very nice private tour with a terrific guide who was well versed in French history. It was terrific to be able to put it all in context during our visit. The guide was very friendly and the pick-up/Drop-off was flawless (in a nice Mercedes). It was, unexpectedly, the highlight of our romantic trip to Paris.

Great Private Tour!!

SO much history, beauty and hidden treasures in Versailles! a private tour is the way to go! They picked us up in a nice Mercedes Benz. Even tough it was a rainy and cloudy day (typical winter weather) the trip was fabulous. Our guide was very knowledgeable, I think his name was Victor (sorry). He told us all about the history and little hidden things that the palace and gardens have. Very much recommend the private tour!!!

Best Intro Tour To Versailles

Great Private Versailles Tour!

We had a wonderful day at Versailles with our expert guide, Charlotte. We were picked up at our hotel right on time and brought to the estate while getting a history lesson we found very entertaining. The tour was great as Charlotte navigated the crowds and assisted with explanations of what was important to understand. She took her time explaining the palace and the grounds, helped us with pictures and just made sure we were getting what we wanted, and were comfortable. I am very happy with our MPP experience and with Charlotte and we will use them again on our next visit to Paris.

Perfect Day At Versailles

My Private Paris set up our full day tour to Versailles perfectly! We were greeted by our guide Laure (Lo) and her driver at our hotel right on time. On our drive, she gave us a bit of history on what was to come. When we arrived, everything was prepared and we zipped through the lines to start the tour. We had a great time and Lo was very knowledgeable about the history and art at Versailles. She was a very fun and interesting tour guide and my husband and I wished we had more time to tour with her in Paris. Next time I hope!!!!

Excellent Tour of Versailles

We had an outstanding private 3 hour tour of Versailles with Doina. She met us in the lobby of our hotel at the Waldorf Astoria. From the time we met in the lobby until the time the tour was done she provided antidotal informative historical information about Versailles. We would definitely recommend this tour.

Exceptional Experience

What a fantastic way to spend a day out of Paris. We were fortunate enough to have Bertrand as a guide. The tour and overall experience far exceeded any expectations we may have had. I cannot recommend this company and specifically the tour of Versailles highly enough!

Great Tour of Versailles !

My family and friends had a full VIP tour of Versailles. Logistically it was very smooth and Soline was an excellent guide. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see Versailles !

Great tour, amazing access, well planned

Guide picked us up at our hotel. We we granted private access to the King's and Queen's apartments which nobody else gets to see. We were also given private access to chapel while the rest of the tourists had to stand outside and only look inside. It was a special tour for sure. Our guide knew the complete history and could talk a length about the furniture, clocks, paintings, etc. It was a great experience.

Full day tour of Versialles

We loved the entire tour. We booked the full day so that we could see it all. Our guide, Marson (not sure of spelling) was wonderful. While the Palace of Versailles was crowded, once you get out into the gardens, the crowds seem much less. Do not miss Marie Antoinette's gardens at the Petit Trianon! Wow, her Hamlet was so idyllic and peaceful. Thanks for a great tour.

First time / not last time!

We did 2tours/2days with Dina (Louvre +) & Marijka (Versailles day)-both worth the money! In hindsight would have booked a third day (we were in Paris 6days). Being guided with the personal historical context was the best…also having someone to ask about other Parisian things (like Marijka’s restaurant reference to a Bouillon) was great! The personal touch was excellent. The drivers used were fantastic. Amazing how they can squeeze a Benz van into a smartcar sized space (Pascal!) Would use them again without hesitation.

A Must!

If you have never been to Versailles and have the time I highly recommend the full day tour. Our tour guide Florant was absolutely amazing. He calls Versailles his other home. We could definitely see why. He has so much knowledge and history of the Palace and its surroundings. We toured the Palace, then the gardens, then we stopped for lunch. After lunch we walked through the hunting forest until we arrived at the Le Grand Trianon and the Queen’s Hamlet. I have always wanted to go to Versailles. This tour was more special than I could’ve ever imagined. Merci beacoup Florant .

Excellent

Lucien was probably the best guide we’ve ever had. Knowledgeable, affable and completely fluent in English. His language skills and bright personality were such that Versailles really came to life for my Nieces and I! Along with his historical expertise, the stories he told about the gossip from the Court of Versailles both intrigued us and also made us fall about laughing.

Phenomenal experience and would do it again!

Our guide Marijke was phenomenal. She was extremely knowledgeable and loved what she does. The afternoon driver should be commended. While driving down a side street he suddenly stopped the car and got out. We then realized there were two young children standing in and near the street. He made sure he got them into the compound until someone car for them.

Awesome experience

Excellent! The tour was really worth while. Great transportation to and from, great having the skip the line access, saved so much time. The tour inside the palace was great, very informational from the tour guide and she was very accommodating to our needs. Overall a really great experience. Shout out to our awesome tour guide Dina.

Not Bad

Our guide did a pretty good job. For the most part her description of the palace and the gardens was good.

Great tour and guide

We spent the day with our guide Marinjke. She was wonderful and very knowledgeable. I have two teenage boys, and she was great with both of them. We especially loved the tour of Marie Antionette's cattages and walking through the gardens. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip.

The only way to see Versailles

We had an absolute blast with Luke yesterday!! He’s the best of the best. Easy pick up and drop off. One of our favorite experiences as a family.

Outstanding!!

If you want to see beautiful Versailles and learn something along the way, take a tour with Lucien!! Versailles is amazing, and it really comes to life with Lucien’s stories. It was well worth our half day - even though we only had two days in Paris. We would take another tour with him for sure. Thank you Lucien!

You'll see French culture in new light!

Great experience. Alexandre was extremely helpful arranging our tours. We have 3 hours tour at Louvre and all day tour at Versailles Palace. Both guides, Quentin and Manu were very professional and deeply knowable. Overall superior experience with this group, definitely will be using them for the future trips to Paris.

Excellent private tour

The private guided tour was so enjoyable and convenient. The guide and driver were kind enough to wait at the lobby for us as we were slightly late. The car ride was comfortable. The tour started the moment we boarded the van whereby the guide gave us details of Paris city. Versailles is so beautiful where the guide gave us many information from the outside to the inside of the palace. It’s well organised and informative for first timers

Highly recommend

We did a half day tour with our guide Lucien. We were traveling with our elderly mother and having the option of a door front pick up and skip the line private tour was wonderful. Lucien was very knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic about his beautiful city. The tour started in the van on the way to Versailles where he talked about the history of Paris. Versailles is beautiful and having Lucien explain it all made it even better. I highly recommend visiting Versailles and My Private Paris!

Our guide Romain, made this history come to life. In each room we visited and in the gardens, we were able to imagine each of the events that took place.

This was a great experience for my girlfriend and I. Flora was very knowledgeable and easy to get along with, she was able to answer all of our questions and made the tour smooth and easy. Our driver (unfortunately forgot his name) made our trip very comfortable and safe getting to and from our destination. We would definitely work with this company again for our next trip.

Exceeded our expectations

We did not know what to expect on this tour. The price seemed high but the reviews were good. I am happy to add another stellar review for this trip. We were met at our hotel by the driver and our guide whose name was Humberto. They were right on time and both very nice. We didn’t waste a minute of our time learning about Paris and Versailles during the drive. Humberto was an extremely bright and knowledgeable guide. He spoke perfect English and French. He could write a book on every aspect of the palace and the gardens and was capable of answering all questions. We appreciated every effort they they both made in making our visit to Versailles a memory that will last a lifetime. Highly recommend!

Amazing Guide!

Versailles was awesome and so was our guide! He was extremely knowledgeable and easy going. We learned so much. The visit was greatly enhanced by his love of history.

What a wonderful experience

Romaine was an unbelievably excellent guide. He didn't go through any well rehearsed dialogue but really allowed us to fully understand the time period of Louis XXIV and the man himself who went about building the Palace of Versaille. Romaine answered all our questions and you can tell he is passionate about history and what he has learned. We booked a half day tour and in that time, we saw the gardens, hall of mirrors and all the major parts of the Palace. A truly wonderful experience, which included being picked up from the hotel and dropped off, in luxury vehicles.

Amazing Multiple Tours of Paris!

We had a FANTASTIC experience with My Private Paris! We booked three tours with MPP (Full day at Versailles, Musee D'orsay, and the Louvre) and it was worth every dollar/euro! Our guides (Laure, Lucien) really provided an enriching, fascinating tour. They were not only extremely knowledgable and gave us interesting insights, but they were able to easily navigate through the crowds and different buildings so that we didn't end up waiting in long lines or getting caught in crowds of people. Even just setting up the tours and communicating with Alexandre and Bertrand was very easy; they were very responsive and easy to work with. Because our schedule kept changing, I had to request multiple date and time changes, and they were able to accommodate everything. What makes MPP really stand out is that they are a local company. They are owners and guides who live in and really know Paris and France. I can't say enough good things about MPP. I HIGHLY recommend their tours and would absolutely go with them again. Great trip to Versailles without lifting a finger

Highly recommend this tour for a high quality and seamless trip to Versailles with a friendly and knowledgable guide. Our guide (Romain) and a private driver picked us up from our hotel at around 10:30am and brought us over to Versailles for our visit. He brought us room by room in the chateau telling us story after story about life during the reign of the (many) Louis. He was a wealth of knowledge, answered all of our questions patiently, and even sprinkled in some interesting tidbits relevant to current events. He obviously knows the place like the back of his hand (he helped us circumvent some very long bathroom lines at one point) and obviously really loves what he does -- referenced lots of different books he's read in his personal research (eg. medicine during the time of Louis XIV) -- you aren't just going to get your basic tour talk-track here, but something much more unique. The gardens are also spectacular and he'll walk you through the various groves (each with their own character) and share more about those as well. Don't hesitate!

Amazing Palace of Versailles Tour!

We did the half day Palace of Versailles tour. Doina was our guide and she did a wonderful tour for us. She was incredibly knowledgeable and shared history and stories with us. I would highly recommend the private tour with Doina.

One of the best tour guides we've ever had!

Manu was the most exceptional tour guide - starting with a private car to pick us up, and then the most interesting and captivating next hours of seeing the beauty of Versailles. Manu is a wealth of knowledge that is not just a history lesson, but a complete cultural trip on the current Parisian lifestyle. After touring the palace and the gardens (go on Sunday to see the water features), with all the interesting stories, we went into the city of Versailles to see the markets, have lunch (galettes are the savory crepes and special cider) and then continued on a beautiful bike ride to the Petit Trianon. If you are so lucky to have Manu as your guide, you will be blown away and in for a treat. It is worth a mention that Manu was able to captivate 2 adults but teenager kids (16 and 20) - not an easy feat! Great company and would definitely recommend!

Engaging and fun tour of Versailles

Great tour! My guide, Doina, was very engaging and she kept the tour moving and interesting. Doina is very knowledgeable about Versailles and Louis 14th. Really enjoyed it and would highly recommend. Plus, it was nice to be picked up and dropped off at my hotel - not having to worry about getting out to Versailles.

Great Places and People

Jean was a great guide his knowledge of French Royalty was exquisite. The Versaille Palace was amazing and really enjoyed walking the gardens. Also was very nice to relax and go to Marie Antoinette favorite places including the farm. Again Jean made the day by being not only knowledgeable but very friendly.

Great half day tour!

Quentin, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and engaging (even for our teenager). The half day tour was perfect for us, we saw everything we wanted to see spending a good amount of time in both the gardens and inside the palace. It was a very crowded day so it was great to be able to skip past the huge line. We also appreciated the hotel pickup and drop off which saved so much time.

Excellent Tour with Charlotte!! The kids and I learned so much and thuroughly enjoyed this private tour! Charlotte's depth of knowledge and passion for the beauty and history of this amazing place shone in every room and garden we got to see! She tailored the experience to our family, shared captivating stories of kings and queens, helped the kids and I discover ties to Roman symbolism, history of the time, and really made the experience wonderful!

We did the full day tour of Versailles in order to see the palace and the private residences. I highly recommend the full day trip. It is too much to see in just a few hours. Lucien, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and also very friendly and enjoyable. He helped make the vast palace and its history accessible for my husband and I, as well as our young kids. We ate lunch in the gardens at a restaurant recommended by Lucien during our tour. It was good food and well priced. Great for a family or more casual dining. It was a well done tour from start to finish. The booking, changes our reservation and transportation were all handled smoothly. I highly recommend this tour of Versailles with My Private Paris! 110% would tour with My Private Paris and Flora again

We had TWO great tours with Flora - we loved her so much on the Versailles tour that we booked a full day in the Loire Valley. She really connected with each member of our family as we all have different interests. My 11 year old son was captivated as much as we were. As someone who studied art history in university, I was blown away at her knowledge and learned so much myself.

Best tour we have ever taken

We had been to Versaille many years ago on our own. It was a whole different experience with a tour guide who was was familiar with the estate. Our guide was able to give us history and details we would have never learned on our own. Having a licensed tour guide, we were able to enter Versaille through a separate door without waiting in line. We also more easily navigated around the estate due to his knowledge. We were picked up and returned to our hotel in a private limo with the tour guide and driver. This made the trip much more enjoyable because the guide was able to point out points of interest along the way. We would highly recommend this tour.

They made our Paris Vacation

This was our first trip to Paris and we were very apprehensive about using a tour company. My Private Paris met or exceeded all expectations. Charlotte met us at our hotel on-time with a car to start our day. We spent the day enjoying Versailles and learning so much. She knew every detail and where to take the best photographs. I do not think we would have enjoyed it without her. My Private Paris is professionally managed and maintained communication with us through the complete process.
