Maurizio was a phenomenal guide! He made this tour so incredibly fun and interesting that the two hours just flew by and we wanted more! I definitely recommend this tour for a better understanding of what you are looking at in the museum and the history of the museum itself.

Pure delight at L’Orangerie

Once again, we had the pleasure of experiencing a tour with Maurizo of NapoleoneTours. He previously guided us through the Musee D’Orsay and we were very happy to have him host us once again. His gift of storytelling and his pure enthusiasm of the art he was sharing was informative, infectious and fun!

Wonderful tour - worth every penny!

We had such an amazing tour of musée l’orangerie with Maurizio. He was super knowledgeable, kind, and energetic throughout the whole tour. We had two people in wheelchairs during the tour and he was incredibly accommodating and helpful. We wish we would have planned more time to book more tours with Napoleon tours! We will definitely book again when we are in Paris again.

Exceptional Art Historian

I had a remarkable visit to the Musée de l’Orangerie due to the comprehensive knowledge of our guide, Maurizio Tammaro. He was punctual and professional, and I particularly enjoyed how he presented real and relatable details regarding the collection itself; which allowed for a new way of seeing familiar works. He instilled an education that could not be accomplished without personal research regarding the architecture of the building as well as the artwork it houses. Far from unvaried and humdrum, Maurizio conveyed an understanding that I’ll treasure for a lifetime. I hope to have an opportunity to see more of Paris with him on a return trip for he is an intellectual and enthusiastic guide.

Our travel agent booked this. The tour company was Babylon Tours in Paris (contact +17024818314 or babylontoursparis@gmail.com). We had Taylor as our guide and she was awesome! We concentrated on Monet’s Water Lillies exhibit. Later we went through and saw more of the Impressionist works, which we truly love: Taylor explained quite well all of panels of the Water Lillies as well as how Monet was able to accomplish all of this work at his studio in Giverny, which we went to on another day. Learned a lot from her! You should include this museum if you have time when visiting Paris for sure.

Great Experience

Maurizio was a great host and gave us great information of things going on behind the scene with fascinating and intriguing stories. This is a small museum, but the Monet's murals alone made it a great experience.

Fantatstic!!

Mauritzio was an EXCELLENT guide! Gave us insights into the museums history we never would have known about….let us enjoy the Waterlilly exhibit and have our own space with the exhibit, before taking us back through and giving us even more insight into the artwork. Even more fabulous stories and insight for the rest of the museum. Cannot recommend him enough!!

Best tour of our whole 7 day Paris trip!

This private tour exceeded our expectations. Napoleone Tour went out of their way to make history come alive; they simplified the complex history of where the collection originated from and made it both memorable as well as entertaining. This museum is not as massive and overwhelming as the Louvre, or the Orsay (all of which we also toured). It does not have the massive crowds thus allowing you to get up close to the art and contemplate what the tour guide (I wish I remember his name, he was FANTASTIC!) shared or pointed out. We also had our 20 year old son with us and he agreed that it was a fantastic tour and great museum. I highly recommend not missing this museum but REALLY recommend doing the tour with Napoleone Tour. They just made it different from all of the other tours we took (we did almost 2 tours a day for 7 days!); we loved it!

WOW!

We booked this tour due to good reviews in Trip advisor and it was absolutely perfect. Our guide was knowledgeable and with nice personality. We were never bored. It really worth the 2 hours in the romantic capital of France.

<p>Philip our tour guide was wonderful! He never rushed us and he was generous with his inputs. He explained the background of each and every artist in this museum, their history, their inspirations etc. If you love art, you will enjoy this tour. A relatively small museum compared to the others in Paris but the pieces are all top notch quality.</p>
