Guide was not knowledgeable. He was just winging it. Did not get the food selection advertised. Just sorted wondered around with no set agenda.

Fun Food and Facts

Vanessa was the perfect guide: punctual, genuine, extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. We totally enjoyed ourselves. The food was good. The walk straight uphill was strenuous but Vanessa did her best to take us around the steepest parts. Good value.

A must in Paris!

I absolutely loved this tour! All the food options provided were so delicious. This is a great way to start out seeing the area of Montmartre. Meeting location was easy to find. Arturo was very knowledgeable.

Arturo was a wonderful guide! He was very knowledgeable about the history of Montmartre and all the places we visited. He was also funny and personable. The food was good, especially the croissant and the quiche. I had a great time! I definitely recommend this tour.

Great way to Experience Montmartre

This was great way to see a part of Paris some don't see and hear about the history and many cultures of this area and to climb to the Summit of Montmartre at an easy pace while eating along the way. Our guide Arnold was excellent really knows the area and more importantly really knows the best places to eat in Paris. He was excellent! Highly recomend this tour. The tastings were awesome and the last stop was more than just a tasting it was a full lunch and was excellent. One suggestion for a different type tour is offer tastings of all the cutures and living in

What a fun way to see monmarte. Tons of food and cute places our tour guide Victoria was so nice and fun. I highly recommend it supports real local places and I love that.

Highly Recommend

Vanessa was a delightful guide. Very knowledgable and engaged. The food was fantastic and I loved seeing the local side of Montmartre vs the tourist packed side. Not only did we eat delicious things, the focus was on family owned establishments which I really appreciated, and we got a lot of history and information about Paris and the food as well. I highly recommend this tour.

A morning with friends and food

What a delightful means of passing four hours! As we strolled through Montmartre, we frequently paused to savor delectable cuisine (and wine), engaged in conversations with shop proprietors regarding the food's origins, and gleaned valuable background information from our splendid host, Julia. In the company of just four other guests and the charming presence of Phoebe (also hailing from the tour company, and a fellow Australian), it truly felt as if we were enjoying time with lifelong friends. Their recommendation to "come hungry" was spot on—each dish was served in ample portions, yet they were exceptionally accommodating in packing up our leftovers, ensuring we all departed with a bag of delectable fare for later.

History and Tastes of Paris

My husband and I loved this tour! Our guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the Montmartre neighborhood of Paris. We tasted various items such and macarons and crepes and then our guide stopped at a cheese shop, a meat shop, and a bakery to purchase items. Then he took us back to a private space to taste all the wonderful meats and cheeses accompanied by wine. It was a small group of about 10 which was perfect. Would highly recommend this tour and would happily do it again.

Simply a Good Time

A lovely time spent in the Montmartre area of Paris. Julia and Phoebe were fabulous hosts for this informative and delicious tour. This food tour felt like we were being treated around the area by friends. The vibe was very comfortable and friendly peppered with food related history and details. I learned enough for my brain to absorb all the while tantalizing my palette to local flavors. Merci beaux coup for a well spent and memorable food tour in Paris:)

Pleasant food tour

This was a pleasant tour of some foods in Montmarte. All the food was good (yes that croissant was way above average), but not all super outstanding.

Art in food

Emily was excellent and shared historical details about Montmartre and the food we were eating. We ate pastries from the best chef’s in the world and had food unique to Paris. It was the perfect amount of eating and walking.

Great and tasty food tour

Our family had a lot of fun on this charming food tour! We tasted amazing food and got to explore Montmartre! Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We arrived very late (had issues with the train) and would have really appreciated it if the guide could have called us to tell us where the group was. Instead, we had to run around the nearby streets looking for a group and hoping we could find them. It would have been much less stressful to know the stops on the food tour or get a phone call so we could know where to go. Nonetheless, we are glad we found the tour and the rest of it was very enjoyable!

Excellent food tour

My husband and I always love to do a food tour when we travel and this was definitely the best food tour we've ever done! First off, Julia, our tour guide, was amazing and so knowledgable. We loved having her as our tour guide and she really set the stage for such a great afternoon in Momartre (my favorite area in Paris - so charming and beautiful!). The tour had 6 stops and all of the stops we loved - from the croissant, to the chocolate eclaire, to the cheese, pork dish, wine tasting, and quiche (BEST QUICHE), it was all amazing! Would highly recommend! Thank you Julia! We will be back!

Great tour

Have done a few tours with the company and am never disappointed. Exploring the quieter side of Montmartre, the side where the locals go was great. Delicious food and great insider perspective from our guide Engrid.

Disaster

Scheduled with Viator over the phone. We were very excited and expected this to be a fantastic experience. We showed up early to the location and waited until departure time no one else, including the guide showed up. Called provider their office was closed. Called Viator and they verified our reservation, location and time. After 45 minutes on the phone and on hold repeatedly we we’re finally told we shouldn’t have been booked on this day as the tour doesn’t run today. We were told a refund would be issued in 3 to 5 business days and that the matter would be forwarded to the escalation team. We would be contacted by them concerning reimbursement for expenses incurred and reparations for our inconvenience. 4 days and have heard nothing. Not very good customer service. BEWARE!!!

Excellent food tour

One of the best food tours I've been on. Juan was our guide and so knowledgeable. I as amazed at the variety of food/drinks we tried and the history behind it. It allowed us to tour the different neighborhoods of Paris as well. Bring an open mind and an empty stomach to this tour. Totally worth it.

Best tour in Paris

Chef PJ is an amazing tour guide, knowledgeable, entertaining, and lots of fun. You will learn so much about the neighborhood he grew up in, lives in, and loves. This tour is a must for your Paris visit!

Outstanding tour of Montmartre that explored the less touristy side of Montmartre. Every morsel was divine!

There only 4 people on our tour; two young women from Holland and us. Our guide was Juan, who has been working in the food business for more than many years. And the experience exceeded my expectations. Each stop was a small family owned shop with locally sourced products and using traditional techniques. Oh so yummy. I could not tell you which one was my favorite. Juan did an excellent job of explaining each place and their food, with a sprinkle of history and a dash of humor. I highly recommend!!

It was my first time in Paris and was fortunate to take the tour Montmartre Like a Local: Paris Food tour . Our tour guides, Jess and Juan were amazing and the highlights of the tour. They were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and their love of the city was contagious! You will sample the most amazing food and wine from local shops and restaurants. You will not leave hungry! I highly recommend . I promise you not be disappointed. I loved every minute of it.
