A good way to start your visit.

Anukool gets high marks for both communication and local knowledge. I accidentally booked my tour for the wrong day and Anukool couldn’t have been more gracious or understanding. When we finally did get to do the tour, he was friendly, generous, and extremely knowledgeable about the area (Montmartre), its history, and the local food scene. My wife and I were a bit worried at first that we’d leave hungry but that was decidedly not the case. All in all, I would definitely recommend this tour with Anukool.

Charming walk-and-talk with exquisite food!

With the wonderfully charming Maxime as our guide, we happily tasted our way through Montmartre. Chocolate, quiche, the best cream puff’s I’ve ever had and, a relaxing wine a cheese session to end (and so much more in between). We enjoyed this one-on-one with a true local, learning a bit about each stop. If you’re looking for delicious food and a walk and talk in true local fashion, this is your activity.

Food tour of Montmartre with Maxime

Maxime is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and personable. He was also very thoughtful, inquiring about food sensitivities, preferences, etc. The food we ate was amazing and we ended the day quite delighted (and full). Maxime also went through Montmartre history with us at the end of the day. Seeing a famous and historic neighborhood through its food was wonderful and a highlight of our trip.

Superb evening with Maxime

We had a wonderful food tour with our guide Maxime , who was very knowledgeable about the specialties of Parisian food and interesting too . We got lost in Paris and were late for the tour but Maxime went out of his way to accommodate us , for which we are very thankful . All in all we had a great evening in montmartre. Alpha is a delight!

Alpha looked after us so well, is a fountain of information on Paris. Everything was managed in a relaxed and fun way. Cannot recommend enough!

Great food tour with Alpha!

We had a wonderful experience touring with Alpha in Montmarte. She was very knowledgeable of the area and took us to great spots. Highly recommend!

Very bad organisation

Food was great, however our private group was left disappointed with overall experience. First of all, our guide, Maxime, was late. His English was not something you would expect from a guide. As mentioned, food was delicious, however the order of the whole tour was somewhat not right. The tour started with a dessert, then quiche, then oysters, macaroons, then crepes, then red wine, cheese and ham. Stomach did not felt well after this experience. You might think that this is a local way to eat, but is it really? Moreover, one of the places that we were supposed to visit was closed. Plan B was arranged on the spot, however not right away. Taking into account the fee for this private tour, the expectations were not met - lack of organization.

Alpha is born and raised in the area we toured, which made it a lot of fun. She took us some wonderful places to enjoy the sweet and the savory. She’s extremely knowledgeable of the food in the area as well as the history, which was a bonus. Highly recommend Alpha!!!

Great Tour

Great tour with Anukool. We traveled around Europe for three weeks, and he was our best tour guide. The food was excellent, area lovely and he had such great knowledge of area and Paris in general that he shared. I wish we had been able to book another tour with him. He really has a passion for history and the city. He made it so much more interesting. He also gave some tips for other areas we were visiting.

Foodies won’t want to miss this tour.

Wonderful tour with Bibiana

We had such a nice food tour of Montmarte with Bibiana. She was so sweet and knowledgeable and loved sharing delicious food. We ate so many incredible things and learned so much! She was great with the kids. We would certainly tour around with Bibiana again!

Super friendly, super informative.

Loved the local history and look into Parisian life. The guide was informative and friendly. The stops were a little bread/dessert heavy (only 2 savory stops). But everything was delicious & fascinating.

Tasting Tour in Montmartre with Olivia

My wife and I were looking for a fun and unique experience in Paris, and this tasting tour with Olivia was amazing. Definitely come hungry! We were expecting just small bites throughout the tour, but we had enough to fill our stomachs (and then some) during the three hours we spent walking throughout Montmartre. It was the perfect way to enjoy a variety of foods during the lunch hour. Olivia took us to a wide variety of restaurants, coffee bars, patisseries, boulangeries, fromageres and creperies, all of which served a delicious sample of all the amazing food that France has to offer. While the food was incredible, what added to the experience was Olivia's knowledge of Montmartre and the background of Parisian food, which made the tour so much more immersive. We felt right at home with Olivia, who navigated the streets of Montmartre and interacted with all of the vendors as a true local who lives there on a daily basis. Olivia was incredibly insightful and engaged throughout, taking time to answer all of our questions (as well as asking some of her own questions to us) and encouraged us to interact with the vendors as well. We were able to take our time to thoroughly enjoy the experience...never feeling rushed. Our only regret was having to leave Olivia after the (short) three hours were over. We highly recommend a tasting tour like this, and if you have an opportunity to do one in Montmartre, you won't regret having Olivia show you around!

Montmarte Food Tour

We had a wonderful food tour in Montmarte with Olivia. My family of 5 can be a little picky but she found several items that we loved. Baguette, quiche, crepes, cheese, pastries, coffee, tea, and more. The food was very good and we were full after the tour. A plus was we learned so much about the area in which we are staying, Montmarte. I highly recommend!

Olivia is wonderful

Olivia was the perfect guide to show my husband and I and our 3 teenage granddaughters around Montmarte. Her musical and art interests matched up well to each of the girl\u2019s interests .She really connected with all of us.\n One of our granddaughters is gluten free and Olivia went out of her way to make sure that Emma could enjoy the food tour. She is also a jazz expert and recommended a jazz club for us to visit. She even made the reservation.\n We would highly recommend Olivia if you plan to visit Montmarte. You won’t be disappointed!

Anukool was amazing!

Our private tour of Montmartre this spring was incredible. Our guide, Anukool, did a wonderful job going into detail with the cooks in our group, as well as keeping it fun and light for the one who just wanted to eat (the one writing this review). We would certainly recommend this tour and Anukool as your guide He gave excellent recommendations for extras to eat along the way, as well as places to stop for breathtaking views. The tour was overall very thorough, and the company rocked.

Discovering Montmarte

This is our second time to tour the Montmarte area, and our first time with Bibiana, our guide. She curated the tour to suit our requests and included several tastings of delicious local food including Marveilleux (light but heavenly pastry), Chaussons aux pommes (Apple bread), Chouquette, Quiche, different cheeses, eclairs, coffee and wine. We learned a lot about the history of the area, discovered many interesting new places, and even learned a bit about the Parisian way of life. Bibiana was friendly, attentive, and very pleasant to talk to. We enjoyed our time with her and will definitely recommend her to others. Merci beaucoup, Bibiana!

Great family experience for my 4 children and I

I am a father, traveling with my four children, ages, 12 to 18. We only had a little more than a day and a half in Paris, and I was struggling to find a way to introduce them to some thing authentic that would give them a taste (figuratively and literally) of Paris. I booked our tour with Alpha and it was just perfect for us. Aside from the great food and wine, we were able to enjoy some of the chief sites of Montmatre. The best part, however, was Alpha herself. Born and bred in Montmatre and still living and working there today, she was able to give us many insights into local Parisian culture from the perspective of someone who lives it. We even got to see the high school she attended. I could not have made a better investment in providing my children with an authentic introduction to Paris, rather than just seeing the major attractions.

A great walk eating our way to the top

Our guide Andrea was great. We walked up the hill to see the beautiful church and view of Paris. As we walked up we stopped in shops and selected macarons, pastries and then stopped at a cafe and had coffee ,tea or hot chocolate. We had lunch on our way down at a cafe. We said our preference and our guide met our needs. Our guide told us stories and talked about Paris.

An Incredible Experience with Olivia

What a treat it was to savor the flavor, both aromitically and experimentally, through Olivia’s incredible sense of time and place. The tastings (far too generous portions for that designation) were carefully chosen and perfect. The sense of Montmartre as a vibrant community was a story weaved together with charm and Knowledge by Olivia. My wife and I have been on many food tours worldwide, but we are hard pressed to think of one we enjoyed more.

Perfect Tour!

Maria was a perfect guide. She selected a very good varianty of places and the food and wine selection was perfect. On top of that she gave useful information about food and wine in France. We could not ask for more. Thanks so much!

Delightful Food Tour

Superb!!! It’s the first word that comes to mind when we reflect on our lively and lovely 3-hour meandering food tour of Montmartre with Olivia. We laughed, we shared travel and life experiences, and we sampled the very BEST array of Parisian delicacies with someone who loves French food and culture. The time flew by with every step and stop! We loved every bite: from the Normandy oysters to the crepes and coffee at the ending point near the Montmartre Museum. The museum is definitely worth a visit as a way to finish off the experience. The best tasting tour in Paris

Our tour guide Anukool was absolutely amazing and all the food was delicious. He was extremely knowledgeable as well as friendly and kind. I would definitely recommend him and this tour to anyone considering a food tasting experience.

Tour Guide didn’t show up … or contact us!

Horribly unprofessional and unreliable - BUYER BEWARE!! My wife and I booked a walking food tour and received confirmation that we were to meet our tour guide (Maxime) outside of the metro station right near the Moulin Rouge at 11. Long story short, our tour guide never showed up! After many calls, texts and voicemails to the number we were given for Maxime, we got no reply. Waited until about 11:30 and then walked Montmarte for our own tour, without the guide. Be careful! Currently in the process of getting the runaround trying to get a refund. What a disaster.

Amazing time with Olivia for food tour

Olivia was friendly, knowledgeable andai engaging during our afternoon together. We loved her recommendations and learned so much about the area. She kept our family, including two tired teens, engaged throughout.

Dream day in Montremarte

Alpha is an incredible tour guide. She made our trip wonderful. Excellent food and sights and storytelling. Definitely worth it for our family.

Cancelled on us 7 mins before start time.

Cancelled on us 7 mins before the tour. Really disappointed. We’d carefully selected this tour on limited time in Paris so wasn’t pleased to be cancelled on this late notice and when we’d made the effort to get to the meeting location.

Montmartre with a local!

My 13 year old son and I had an amazing time with Bibiana. She was friendly, personable and knowledgeable. She arrived on time and made us feel comfortable right away. We were able to learn about Parisian history, what makes Montmartre unique and tasted a wide variety of foods, both savory and sweet. She also gave us suggestions for other activities we could do in Paris. My son and I feel like we have a friend in Paris and we would absolutely recommend this tour!

Great eating and history walking tour in Montmartre

For this trip to Paris we decided to try some new things, away from the usual museums. This was a very fun and informative (and very tasty!) tour of the Montmartre area. Our tour guide, Bibiana, is a Montmartre local which was even luckier as the day of our tour was also the day of a metro strike! So if she hadn’t been local this would not have worked out! We walked up to the top of Montmartre, periodically stopping to both sample food and learn about the area (history, architecture, residents). Bibiana kept it fun and rolling along. We ended at Sacre Coeur, of course very beautiful. We recommend both this tour and Bibiana!

Food and fun in Montmartre.

My wife and I went on a 12-day cruise in Europe, but our best time was with Maxime from Withlocals in Montmartre. Maxime spent three hours with us and took us to over 10 wonderful and different places with excellent food. Maxime also was verse in all the businesses we visited, the type of food and the history of the area. We really had a lot of fun with him.

Such a great tour of...

Such a great tour of Paris and Montmarte. Our guide was very knowledgeable and kind. We enjoyed the chocolate and crepes. We also truly enjoyed the history of the area. Be prepared! This is a very hilly area of Paris and our guide did mention some people haven't been able to tour the whole area.

Definitely not 10 tastings!

Zoltan was a great tour guide however we did not get 10 tastings. We had more sweet than savory which still left us hungry. For the amount we paid I feel we did not receive enough food.

Simply delicious

The food was amazing. Perfectly selected and sequenced throughout the entire tour. We loved the neighborhood and our tour guide gave us a lot of additional recommendations so that we could go back and enjoy the area.

Private food tour with a friend

One of my favorite parts of my trip. Olivia was AMAZING! She is very knowledgeable about the area. This area is very hilly! I had a wonderful time talking with her about many subjects not just Montmartre. It felt like I was having a walk/talk/eat/drink with a friend. There is a lot of food!! I am glad I had a backpack to carry the extras.
