Mont Saint-Michel Small-Group Trip with Cider Tasting from Paris

Amazing Tour

This smaller group tour was incredible. The ride was comfortable and our guide even pulled over to get some quick pictures by a field with a distant view of Mont St-Michel. Once we arrived we were able to park close with a smaller vehicle, take the shuttle over, and spend plenty of time doing what we wanted. I will say a nice sit-down restaurant will waste a lot of time unless your main reason for going is to eat. We got some delicious toasted sandwiches to go and ate outside with some great views. Our guide initially took us up a small stairway to avoid a lot of the crowd and showed us the cemetery before allowing us to explore the abbey and everything else on our own. Once finished at Mont St-Michel, we stopped by a small shop for the cider tasting. We don’t drink alcohol but they also had some fresh apple juice to try which was delicious. They had some other fun food items we purchased as well. I definitely appreciated the smaller group size for the increased flexibility and more time to spend at the site.

Everything was as promised on their site. Instructions to get to the meeting point were very clear, van was comfortable, and our guide Aaron was very helpful and knowledgeable. The drive takes few hours but is worth it. I recommend Blue Fox Travel Saint Michel tour.

Nice day trip

Friendly and professional staff. Good spots for photo takings. Good amount of history lesson. Good with free time to explore and walk around and guide to the top of Saint Mont Michel. Very positive: safe driving and stops for snacks and bathroom visits.

Great experience! From Paris, it’s a long drive…….but well worth it! Be prepared to walk up many stairs.

A Fabulous Day Trip From Paris

We had an amazing trip to Mont St Michel. A lovely drive from Paris. Our guide, Will, was friendly and knowledgeable. Since it was limited to a small group we had the opportunity to get to know each other and didn’t have to deal with keeping track of a large group during stops, etc. We got to skip the lines, which is a huge bonus, and the tour of the Abbey was self guided. We had time to stop for lunch as well as to do a little exploring. I would highly recommend this company and this tour if you want a day trip from Paris.

Mémorable Visit to Mont St Michel on April 22, 2024

We thoroughly enjoyed the 1-day tour of Mont St. Michel. We had a wonderful tour guide named Santiago assisted by Lucy (training). Both were friendly, helpful and courteous. Santiago was a wealth of knowledge who explained everything and made it fun, too. Santiago also was an excellent driver!!! Bob & Maggie Lee

Great Experience!

This was a great tour. Our tour guide, Brune (not sure if I spelled that right) was so kind and informative. She had great tips for us. There ended up only being 3 of us on this tour and they still went. It’s a long day but worth it. I would recommend this company. We also did the Normandy beaches tour and have no complaints.

A all-the-way positive experience

Blue Fox is very well-organized , and I enjoyed my experience from online booking to the day of traveling. Our guide was a Normandy local and was very knowledgeable about the area history. I especially enjoyed his navigation throughout the morning ride and as we approached the destination, which added value to my experience. We were given sufficient time to explore the abbey and the entire town/mt. after he led the group to the Abby, although I believe our tour got cut slightly shorter due to the need to beat the post-holiday traffic back to Paris. I wish to have the opportunity to add a quick stop on the shuttle ride between the parking lot and the island, so I could snap a few pictures of the famous river+sheep view from the viewing deck (there is a designated shuttle stop, and I was not aware of it until time to leave). I opt to get crepes for lunch to save time for a walk on the bridge, because I truly think the view from afar is more magical. We got caught in the post-holiday traffic and spent much longer time back to Paris. Kudos to the tour guide who was positive and strategized potty/snack breaks for us. I would travel with Blue Fox on my next visit and would recommend it to anyone!

Nice day on the Mont

I've used this company before for a small group trip to Giverny and they do a very nice job. The vans are comfortable, and the guides are very well informed and very accommodating to the group. The drive there actually went pretty quickly, and they stop for a break along the way. We thought we had plenty of time to explore as well as try La Mere Poulard for lunch. On the way back the cider tasting was a lot of fun. Also, after drinking all the cider, it's easy to fall asleep on the way back. The only issue we had with our day was when we got to Mont St. Michel the abbey was closed, and we were not able to take the tour. Later that day I received an email from Blue Fox that they requested partial refund for the tour which I still have not received. Overall, I'd recommend this group and would use them again.

Easiest way to explore mont saint Michel without any stress

Sara was very helpful and coordinated the day well. The weather at mont saint michel was quite cold, rainy and windy but she had umbrellas in the car that really helped!

Crossed an item off my bucket list in the most wonderful way!

Had an amazing trip to Mont St. Michel in the 8-passenger van with Blue Fox Travel! I didn't want to take a large bus to the MSM so this worked out perfectly. Santiago was our guide and he got us there within 3 hrs. 45 mins from the cafe in Paris. (La Flamme). That included a rest stop break mid way. We arrived well ahead of all the tour buses and got to the island via the shuttle in no time. He walked us through the town and gave us some history before giving us our tickets (with audiogude) for the abbey entrance. From there, we were pretty much on our own, but the self guided tour was fine, and it really only took about an hour to walk through the abbey anyway. I had plenty of time to eat a lunch that I had packed and walk around the shops before walking back to the parking lot (about 1.5 miles). All in all, I was on the island for almost 3.5 hours. The day started out foggy but thankfully the sun came out and it was a picture perfect day on MSM! I am so glad I did this trip to cross this wonderful abbey off my bucket list! Knowing that the 8-passenger van is more expensive than a larger minibus, I still feel it was worth it to avoid the crowds and make better time from Paris to MSM. It is a long journey to MSM from Paris and back, but SO WORTH IT. I appreciate having this option and would highly recommend. Santiago was a fantastic guide too! Thank you Blue Fox Travel!

Amazing Experience! Worth the Price!

Amazing tour and fantastic guide! I highly recommend this tour because of the small group size (no large bus and no dealing with traffic or public transportation). My tour guide (named Santiago!) was fantastic--one of the best tour guides I've ever had! He was knowledgeable, kind, helpful, and experienced (and a good driver). Overall, I would say it was definitely worth the money and a must-see destination. I highly recommend this tour from Blue Fox. If anything, I would list the following as small weakness that could be easily addressed: - We only had three hours at Mont Saint Michel. I wish we had a little more time on this island, especially with the long drive and the fact that we got back to Paris earlier than expected (around 7:10pm). We only had time for a quick bite to eat on the island, and it would've been nice to spend more time. - We were lucky that the cider store was open, but it sounded like they are closed sometimes. Where the cider is marketed with the package, I would have been very upset if they weren't open. Again, though, 10/10 stars! Highly recommended (and an excellent guide in Santiago!).

an unforgettable journey

The trip was very interesting thanks to our guide, who was born in Normandy and told us a lot about the region. The Mont Saint-Michel was worth seeing and even the long drive was forgotten when we saw this beautiful view. I would definitely recommend taking this trip

Highly Recommended

This was a very good tour! The transportation was comfortable and clean. The tour guide was knowledgeable and very accomodating! I would highly recommend going to Mont Saint-Michel in November. We didn't have any crowds. It was a bit cold, but worth it to have the room to explore without many other people around.

Great experience with a small group

I was so happy I booked this tour rather than going by myself. Our guide Olivier was really great and full of all kind of historical knowledge. Weather in november is rather cold and windy but on the plus side not crowded. The van was very comfortable and small group allowed for flexibility. A really great experience.

What a long car ride but...

What a long car ride but there’s no other way so we took the day trip. It’s a beautiful structure and our tour guide was generous with his knowledge of the region and of Mont St Michel. So glad we did this.

Worth doing.

The Driver/guide Guillaume was excellent. He was respectful and caring while being fun. The clients all enjoyed each others company. Mont Saint-Michel was everything I had hoped it would be, an amazing experience.

Incredible day trip

Mont Saint Michel is a must visit. Our guide Guillaume and his trainee Nicholas were great and the van was brand new and comfortable for the long ride.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Blue Fox tour to Mont Saint-Michel. Our guide Guillaume was exceptional. He was extremely well-versed in the history of this amazing site and presented it all in an interesting and thought-provoking manner. His enthusiasm and friendliness was very genuine and we enjoyed spending the day with him at this beautiful and historic site. We were also very impressed with the visual aides provided by Blue Fox that Guillaume shared with our group. They helped us understand the 1,000 year history of Mont Saint-Michel. We learned so much. Before our visit, we did not know many of the stories and events that shaped the history of Mont Saint-Michel. Thanks to Guillaume, we have a greater appreciation and knowledge of this breathtaking landmark. And the cider tasting experience at the end of the tour was a great (and tasty!) way to cap our day. So glad we checked this off on our bucket list!

Highly recommended this experience. So worth the long day and long drive. Be prepared to walk and climb stairs. You will be tired, but this place is amazingly beautiful. What an engineering and architectural feat!

This was a wonderful tour, Kehzia was a great tour guide and driver. The van was clean and comfortable, and there was good information available for us. It's a long drive there from Paris, so the van is very important!

Once in a life

Beautiful views and the chapel is worth seeing. The drawback is that there are lots of people everywhere , so you can hardly move.

Mt. Saint-Michel is a must-see. Our guide was lovely and was accommodating. There are stops along the road trip for beverages and restrooms.

Good. The cider tasting ran 35 min so we were late getting back. We also had to stop for gas, which I think should not have been part of the experience considering we stopped twice for gas previously. Guide was great

Beautiful, but be aware of the crowd.

Driver and Pick up arrangements were excellent. The Cider visit was meh; mostly just a selling opportunity for the cider seller. Terribly crowded - so much so that I would not recommend going unless you were assured that the capacity was low. Wall to wall people, with dogs, children, cats which negatively impacted the serenity of the Abbey.

Our guide was awesome! We can't say enough!

Our guide's name was HP. He spoke English very well and communicated the information about the history of Le Mont Saint Michel in a way that was very interesting and even held the attention of our son. You could tell he was adapting what we saw and did along the way to the particular interests of our small group. He showed us a shortcut up to the abbey that avoided a lot of other pedestrians. (We experienced the full sightseeing experience on the way back down.) He really wanted to make our tour the experience of a lifetime, and succeeded. We really learned a lot - you could tell he has a passion for the rich history of France! We were able to make short restroom stops along the way on the drive as the group needed, which was a concern for our family before we went. Great job, HP!

Expensive, long day, nice guide

Guide was good. A very long day trip! Would be nice to have some private access or some other special element for a small group tour. Expensive for what we got--lesd in our group, closer parking, but that was it. Self-guided once you arrive. Cider was good, but short additional element without much of an experience other than tasting.

Great way to visit a treasure.

What a great way to visit such an iconic site! And. We didn’t have to drive, take a train or fly and change hotels. A nice day trip, but a long drive with a well-informed pleasant guide.

Absolutely Amazing

This was one of the extreme highlights of my trip to France. I had been wanting to see Mont Saint-Michel for quite some time - it did not disappoint. Right from the very first glimpse in the distance to the time exploring was breath-taking. Our tour guide Sarah was fabulous - friendly, helpful and informative. We were fortunate to have only three in our tour group so plenty of room on the mini-bus. Even though it's quite a distance from Paris, I would highly recommend this day trip. The tour was fantastic. Kez was an excellent guide. He was friendly, informative and very patient with the group. The entire family, even my teenage daughters, had an unforgettable experience.

A lovely day tour!

We greatly enjoyed our time with our guide Phillips. We enjoyed the guided part through the town with some background then appreciated being able to explore the abby at our own pace (with the audio guide). We had enough time to explore the Abby and a bit of the town, as well as have lunch and grab some postcards. Be aware that the drive is a little long from Paris (which we knew), but we had restroom opportunities and the van was comfortable!

Lot of steps

Great job. Only recommendation would be to tell everyone that the headsets and tickets would be handed out after a marathon of steps to the top. For those not quite as fast, perhaps other arrangements could be made.

Booked Months In Advance. Flew Across Seas. Canceled On Us The Night Before With No Explanation

Traveled to Paris for two days from the US specifically to do this tour. We booked three months in advance to prep everything. Got into Paris, had dinner, and got back to our hotel only to receive the message that the tour scheduled for 7am the next morning was canceled. We reached out frustrated but still trying to tell ourselves that maybe an emergency came up. We never received word why or got any response though. We got our money back but we’re dropped just like that with no explanation, no secondary plan, and no attempts by the org to fix it. Left Paris the following day as planned without seeing it since it was too late to get anything else. Absolutely sucked, especially given how many people had such a great time according to reviews.

Great trip to Mont St Michel

Great experience visiting Mont St Michel. The small group tour is the best way to go in my opinion. The van ride was very pleasant and comfortable and our guide Matthew was very knowledgeable and entertaining. I wouldn’t want to make the trip to visit Mont St Michel any other way. When we go on any tour with Blue Fox we are going to request Matthew as our guide.

Great visit. Enough time to explore on your own. Great that it is a small group. The pickup and drop off location is central and easy to get to. The trip to and fro is comfortable.
