Easy, fun tour to see priceless works of art

Avi was a great tour guide. He easily navigated us through the crowds on a very busy Saturday at the Louvre. He had a fun sense of humor that helped my 11yo and 14 yo stay engaged with the tour. He had a ton of knowledge about the museum and the works of art. I highly recommend taking a tour with him.

Best way to see the Louvre

Incredible place to visit! And this ticket was the best way, with a guide that was helpful. There's sooooo much to see, and our guide was sweet, charming, and gave us great info. She guided us to some of the best areas, had a ton of knowledge about the art and the museum, and the skip-the-line ticket is worth it's weight in gold. Highly recommend seeing the Louvre this way. We were in good hands. After our tour, we explored on our own as well. Great use of time in Paris!

The highlight of our Paris trip!

The highlight of our Paris trip was the tour of the Louvre with our guide Avi from WALKS tours. We were each given a transmitter that we wore around our neck on a lanyard with a small, one ear headset. Avi was able to talk to all of us through this device so we could hear perfectly. He took us in an entrance where we could use bathrooms with NO LINES. He was so knowledgeable and had a delightful sense of humor. If you are lucky enough to get him as your guide, your Louvre experience will be richer for it.

Louvre 2 hour guided tour!

Excellent tour! Wonderful experience. Awesome to view the Mona Lisa up close! Susan was a very knowledgeable guide. Great time to tour 4 to 6 pm. Loved the Louvre! Thankyou!

Horrible!!! Do not recommend!!

Horrible organization, they were late! All the people couldn't find the guide. Rosaria showed up unprepared. After the beginning of the tour she gave us 5 min break and just left us without even helping us to go through check point or giving us our tickets. We never got to see Louvre!

Highly recommend this tour

We really enjoyed this tour. We saw what we wanted to see and our tour guide was fantastic. After the tour, you’re able to spend as much time as you wish in the museum so it is a win/win.

Louvre museum

Looking at the Monalisa was unforgettable.. the downside is the little time we had in that room. Also the tour guide needs to make more stops and explain famous paintings

Worth the cost and Violette was an awesome tour guide

Went with my 17 year old daughter who loves art. If you are tight on time and want to enjoy highlights of the Louvre by a competent tour guide this is perfect. Violette is a passionate art historian and made the trip all the more memorable. She was kind and thoughtful and even shared some of her favorite restaurants.

Great experience

Had a great few hours in the Lourve with Emily as our guide. The Lourve is so big it could be overwhelming but Emily was really informative and passionate and we really enjoyed her ‘highlights’ tour.

Perfect tour for our family

Emily was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable and fun. We enjoyed the tour immensely! Word of caution about the meeting point. It was a little hard to find as it is a big general area. If you are with Walks tours, it is a Green sign. The customer service number was perfect as they helped in getting us connected to the tour so we didn’t miss it!!

AVOID!!! UTTER DISAPPOINTMENT!!

This lousy company rescheduled my tour FOURTEEN TIMES right up until the day before my tour. I had planned to do it at 10.30am and then spend some time on my own exploring the gallery - the final time change was made the day before and was set for 7.00pm - two hours before the museum closed. The late notice of the changed time meant I could visit the gallery before the tour, because tickets had sold out, so because of this company I only got two hours for the whole Louvre; and because I had gone on the tour, they refused to offer any refund. I traveled 20 hours to see the Louvre and this rotten little company ruined it - disgusting.

Tour was perfect amount of time.

Our tour guide was Manny. He was awesome very informative and went into detail. We were lucky to have him as our guide. The tour was a perfect amount of time as I can’t be on my feet to long so it was perfect.

Worth skipping the line with Manuel :)

Manuel was an amazing tour guide! We had a wonderful visit and learnt sooo much in the time we had there. I highly recommend this as it’s a detailed yet whistle stop tour of the Louvre!

They only focus Da Vinci Mona Lisa, you will miss out some beautiful painting

Nothing, will not go with tour guide anymore . It is over priced, just limited information. Everyone goes there only for Mona Lisa , is it silly

Difficulties in finding her between croded people, long stops for not neccessary stories!

Totally it was good, however she was the only tour guide in the museum that insisted to not have any flag or sign or marker in her hand in order for us to be able to follow her, and most of the times we lost her in the crowded areas and could not find her between people, so instead of looking at arts we had this problem to find her all the time and don't loose her between crowded areas, and this caused a lot of stress and frustration for me and my husband! She was not tall so at least she could put on a different color blouse or have something colorful in her hand to make it easier for us to follow her between people! Also she had long stops for telling stories, which was not appropriate for a short 2h tour.

Flight problem

Flight was delayed couldn’t get to the louvre in time. I lost the price of two tickets and our only chance to see the Lovre.

Magnificent !

Museum Louvre visit was part of our one week visit in Paris for art and culture, along with other main attractions. The presentation delivered by our guide Ahmed was very interesting bringing some unknown facts to us about the history of the place. The architecture, decor and display of art are wonderful. We admire them by now through books and media but the experience to see in front of our eyes the original artworks was deeply emotional. As we could admire Mona Lisa from a very short distance. Recommended!

Louvre in a Lark

With limited time, we wanted to none-the-less have an authentic Louvre experience. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining and gave us a wonderful thumb sketch of art through the major periods.

This tour was fantastic which I credit our tour guide for. It was well planned and executed on her part. She was very knowledgeable and added humor as well to keep everyone entertained. We were provided headsets so we missed nothing she said. Effortless tour through a VERY busy venue.

One of the best tours I’ve done

Absolutely amazing! Adam was so kind, thorough and funny. He made learning the history so fascinating and engaging i could have had him take me through hours more! You felt he gave information beyond what you would get from an audio tape

Emily is fantastic and a must-have guide

Emily was great and very knowledgeable of art history. She teaches art history at the university so she was the perfect guide, offering wonderful insights into the Louvre and the main areas we hit of the museum in the Denon wing. The skip-the-line feature was fantastic and a must. It’s simply a separate way to enter the museum through a group entrance rather than standing in the regular queue/line. She was able to get us in quickly despite the museum opening up late and was so kind/courteous, making for a great experience despite the museum being crowded. A few things I wish were different to make this a superb experience: 1) smaller group. We had 17 people on the tour so it was challenging to have a personal experience, although Emily was incredible at remembering all our names! 2) longer tour with Emily’s knowledge/insights. 2 hours just isn’t enough and a lot of the Louvre was missed. It would’ve been cool to go to the Egyptian areas with her knowledgeable explanations and context for everything. 3) the skip-the-like feature doesn’t seem to actually get you a physical ticket to the Louvre, so once you exit, there’s no coming back. Emily even said that certain areas could not be re-entered once we left (eg, Mona Lisa room, original Palais of Versailles, etc.). While you can wander in the Louvre as long as you want afterwards, navigating between the areas is tricky without a physical ticket. Would highly recommend her as a tour guide (5 stars for her) just wish some logistical pieces of the tour were different, which is why I gave the tour 4 stars as a whole.

Our tour guide Hugo was THE BEST!! So knowledgeable and made it FUN!! We were so pleased with the tour-he showed us the most important pieces and was very thorough regarding their history. Loved every minute!! Skip the line is a must!!

Best 2 hours

The guide was excellent- very knowledgeable. Friendly. The only down was the concussion around the meeting point. I there is construction- but was a bit confusing.

Family weekend trip.

Great guide, very informative. Definitely easy to get through and our teens were engaged as well. Perfect introduction and then you need many more hours in the museum.

Best Guide Ever

Hugo was an outstanding guide. In depth knowledge delivered in an entertaining way was one reason. Several others- he got storage for the group so no lugging coats, was kind and accommodating for an unexpected baby and toddler in our group, used music through our headphones so everyone knew to rejoin the group at key points, and took photos of individual groups at several junctures. Hope you are lucky to have Hugo as your guide!

Wonderful and Fun presentation

Marie was a fantastic guide. Light and funny with many anecdotes and lots of historical knowledge. What a relief to skip the huge queue outside and sneak into the underground to the lobby under the pyramid. A couple of important notes. 1. You will be able to check your coats and bags in a locker to retrieve when the tour is over. Be advised, if you plan to continue in the museum, don't leave your stuff. You won't be able to go back through the entry. We were lucky that Marie was able to speak to the entry guard and he made an exception. 2. The tour doesn't get you close to Mona Lisa, just to the room. There is no way to get close without waiting forever for the Mona groupies to clear out and stop taking selfies with the icon. She's very small, and I'm short, so actually seeing her was difficult. Don't have high expectations for this part of the tour. Again, if you want to stay and wait for a better shot of her, don't leave your things in the locker. We would definitely do the tour again. I am not a museum or history buff and Marie made it not only tolerable, but lots of fun. Our group was not too lively, as I suspect some people were hard of hearing or struggled to get the jokes, but Marie was hysterical and animated!

Fantastic Tour Worth Every Penny!

The skip-the-line feature saved us almost three hours of what would have been just waiting on a long line. The guide was LOVELY and so knowledgeable about art, history, and the building itself. She even gave us tips on the best (least crowded) bathrooms to use, where to go after our tour ended when we could go off on our own, etc. I cannot recommend this enough. The whole experience was magical and the museum itself is breathtaking. You see so much in such a relatively short period of time with this tour.

Beginners Guide to the Louvre

A lovely introduction to the Louvre! Emilie was an amazing guide. Her art history background added an element of sincerity to the tour, making it a very intimate and special experience. She started with the history of the Louvre, which added to the magic of taking in the art! The skip the line aspect was an added bonus. Would absolutely recommend this tour.
