Unforgettable tour

I went on this tour with my family, and it was amazing. We started with the classic French croissants that were delicious! Afterward, we visited Chambord Castle, which was stunning; it is really big and has a lot of history. Later, we had our first tasting in a really nice domaine, and here, we also had a fabulous visit. We finished with another tasting in another domaine that was also incredible! In addition to this, we must say that our guide went above and beyond when it came to explaining everything to us about this wonderful region and wine in France! Honestly, I really recommend this tour. It is amazing.

Amazing trip !

I had an amazing time in Loire Valley with My Wine Days. From the morning pick up to our hotel, with a fresh croissant, then visit of Chambord which is absolutely amazing followed by a delicious lunch and a great visit. Our guide was really interesting and gave us heaps of informations all day ! I loved it.

An amazing trip in Loire Valley

Great intro to Loire Valley

The tour was a great introduction to the Loire Valley. It was also a great intro to Montdomaine, a unique winemaker from the Plou family, which has been producing wine from the 1500s. Montdomaine produces natural wines. The group number was just enough. And Carlos was great, picked us on time.

It was disappointing. No WINE GROWING INTRODUCTION IN A VINEYARD.Was not worth the $$ money .

The tour was rescheduled twice. One of guides had a cold. The drive was in a mini van with 8 people and no way to roll down a window, IT was hot and stuffy . She didn't wear a mask and took everyone's cell phones to take pics. The first stop was Chambord castle which was self guided and fine. The 2nd stop was Ambacia cave for lunch with supposed wine pairing.We walked ourselves through the cave with no guide or education about the caves.The dining staff was not attentive and we got 2 tiny glasses of wine but none delivered with the meal.Certainly no wine pairing.Staff told us nothing about the food or wine. We were sitting there while they waited on other clients. Our Guide knew nothing about the wine or food there.We sat there so long that the rest of tour was rushed and cut short. Next stop was Chateau Montodomaine, where we we stood in one cave and the owners wife who greeted us in lounge clothes ,did some talking about their process.THERE WAS NO WINE GROWING INTRODUCTION AT A VINEYARD.Wine tasting was standing in the foyer of the chateau or their home.Then we didn't have time to tour cellars! Guide missed several driveways, went down a wrong way and also both guides drank wine.Not at all worth over $340 per person. Not at all what was described to us.

Excellent tour!

We had a fabulous day with Aurelien (Lance)! He is very knowledgeable about wine and the Loire Valley region and very enthusiastic and welcoming. Our lunch and the wine pairings were excellent, as was the visit to the winery. We had fun, drank great wine and learned a lot. Lance also gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner at Bistro S, which was outstanding!. This tour exceeded all our expectations!

Perfect day in the Loire Valley

This tour was the jewel of our trip to Paris. Just absolutely lovely. Our tour guide and driver Bastien was friendly, charismatic, passionate about wine, and quite knowledgable about winemaking and the Loire Valley itself. The morning kicked off early with a quick stop for croissants and coffee at a boulangerie in Paris before heading out to the countryside. First stop: Chateau de Chambord - we had about 2 hours to explore the site independently, which was just right amount. Then, off to the first winery - Domaine de Montcy, a biodynamic vineyard, for a tour of its cellar and vines. It’s there we met the wonderful Sophie, who showed us around, and prepared a multi-course lunch of local meat, cheeses, seasoned potatoes and more — and, of course, paired the meal with an abundant tasting of their wines. Then, off we drove to the next vineyard through charming narrow village streets and rolling countryside hills to Chateau de Montedomaine for our last tasting. We met the owners Frederic and his wife, who showed us their limestone cave cellars and explained their process of listening to nature for each production cycle. This of course was followed by a tasting in their beautiful home. Overall, this trip was a wonderful experience that I highly recommend to anyone looking to venture outside of Paris for a day to see something new. I embarked on this excursion with family who had only a passing interest in wine, and they left the day with a new passion brewing in their minds. They had a blast! Do not pass this opportunity up, and you’re in wonderful hands if Bastien is your guide.

It was an amazing experience with Carlos. He has lot of knowledge and we really enjoyed our time at the Chambord Chateau and vineyards!!! I am definitely going to book through Viator again to go to French country side

Amazing guide- weak on the winery experiences

Our guide Aurielien was AMAZING. The issue was that the castle tour was good, but we not get to spend much time at actual wineries which was a big attraction point for this trip. One winery was not expecting us due to a miscommunication by the main office not our guide. Our guide was truly the best, but the itinerary with the Loire Valley wineries could have been much better given the amazing wine production in this region.

We had a great day on this trip. Chambord Castle was beautiful and we had sufficient time to see everything. The winery tours and our lunch was wonderful. Our guide, Clement, did a fantastic job of showing us around and providing us with lots of information that was easily understood.

I booked this trip for my friend and I. This was her 1st trip to France and she knows wine. Preston was amazing and extremely knowledgeable. We would both do this again and would book requesting Preston. It was the perfect day trip. A must do

Nice Day in the Loire Valley

Nice tour with one other couple. Mathilde was very attentive, even texting me to let me know she was 10 minutes late so we didn't wait outside in the very cold Paris morning. I wonder, tho, why we didn't take a train rather than spend nearly five hours in the minivan. And we didn't figure out how to get heat to the back of the van until we we nearly back in Paris. The lunch was lovely with different local wines accompanying each of three courses. I would have liked to have an actual guide at Chambord, as other tours clearly did, rather than rely on the actually quite advanced tablet-based audio guide provided by the venue. The winery tour was of a storage/fermentation facility rather than a manufacturing facility. The tasting portion was typical of any wine tasting and the prices were very good, . We purchased six bottles; three reds and three whites. We were dropped off at city hall which was beautifully decorated for the season; however, it was very, very cold (-2 c.) and we simply had to find our way back to our flat on the Metro. Overall, I would like to have had a bit more commentary on the history of the region and stories about things, instead of just sitting in the car in silence.

A Great Excursion

A great trip to the Loire Valley. Our guide Thomas was friendly, professional and engaging. We started with a visit to The Château de Chambord; it was however closed so we went instead to the Royal Château of Blois. Seeing both was certainly a bonus. Then a restaurant lunch in the city center of Blois before our wine tasting. The winery we stopped at was a great choice — a family run winery, Plou & Fils, where the Plou family have been making wine since 1508. I’d highly recommend this trip to anyone.

A great day in the Loire Valley!

A small group tour to the Loire Valley and Chombord. It was personal and heart felt. Absolutely wonderful day!

Excellent Loire Valley Wine Tour

Simone was an excellent guide and did not hesitate to fill in with additional information when he felt the "local guide" had omitted something. Lunch at the second winery was absolutely fantastic, again with Simone jumping in to help and provide information. Lots of excellent wine at lunch, both in variety and quantity. Simone also provided many excellent tips about Pair on the return trip.

Great Mix of Sightseeing and Wine Tasting

A neat little trip through the French countryside took us to the Chateau du Chambord and a cozy lunch spot prior to finishing off the day at Plou and Fils, a 500 year old family vineyard. Everything was lovely and well organized - the only draw back was that Chateau du Chambord was under significant construction so the outside was obscured by scaffolds. The interior, however, is so neat and the tour that they have organized with the tablets is amazing.

Excellent tour Bastion was a great guide, and the meal was delicious. I highly recommend this tour. Trying different wines from the region was a treat.

Karl was fantastic! He is very knowledgeable about wines and wine making. We had a wonderful trip. Tasted A LOT of wine. Slept comfortably on the 2 hour ride back to Paris. Lol. Very comfortable ride. Thank you!

Wonderful excursion with Emmaline! We had a self-guided tour of Chambord and then on to two different wineries. We had a lovely and delicious traditional French lunch at the first and then a fascinating cellar tour at the second. Not to mention we sampled many delicious wines at both!

Nice to get out of the city

The lunch at the restaurant built into the cave was wonderful. The atmosphere was unique and the food was great. We learned a lot about the wine making process and enjoyed our guide Carl. He was a terrific guide answering all of our questions and making the day go smoothly.

Wonderful trip to the Loire Valley

Karl-Dominique was a fantastic guide, and we couldn’t have had a better day in France than the one we spent in his company. We were also grateful to spend time in the company of winemakers at Marc Bredif and Domaine de Montcy, particularly at the latter. Sophie, who fed us lunch at Domaine de Montcy, was an incredibly generous hostess and patient teacher who took us from vineyard to winery to the tasting room. We’ll never forget the couple hours we spent with her and regret that her winery doesn’t (as of now) export to the US. The wines are delicious and truly opened our eyes, and of course our palates, to the complexities and potential of some varietals we’d written off. What a fantastic experience! Tres bien et merci beaucoup!

Cancelled

The tour was cancelled less than 24 hours before departure. this was not the only trip we booked with Viator that was cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, so no opportunity to book an alternative. VERY disappointed as we had planned our Paris trip around the Viator tours. 😡

Our tour guide, Jo, was so kind, helpful, and informative about Champagne and the wine industry. Very fun!!

An amazing day rich in history and great wine. Bastien is a wonderful guide and kept us on tract while having fun. He was such an amazing guide we requested him for another tour. The timing of the castle was perfect, getting us in and out before the major crowds arrived. Lunch was amazing and was followed by a great tour of Maison Marc Brédif.

Wonderful Day Trip - We Loved It

My husband,, daughter and I absolutely enjoyed our beautiful day with our guide Bastion. We had an amazing lunch at a lovely bistro and enjoyed our walking tour of Chambord. The winery caves were mesmerizing and the wine tasting staff were great. Thank you for a wonderful day!!

Not as advertised. We signed up for this since the description said there would be two tastings. There was only one wine tasting with lunch at a restaurant. Not worth the money.

Beautiful French countryside, good food and delicious wine!

The drive through the French countryside was very beautiful and peaceful. It was great to see the Chambord Castle from the inside. The gourmet meal with the wine selections for every course was amazing. The highlight was the winery tour at the end and the delicious Loire valley wines. Our guide was very knowledgeable about wine.

Great day, but I could have skipped Chambord

Loved the winery tours. Loved the lunch. Loved our guide — and wish I could have just heard her talk more about wine (she was very knowledgeable) rather than spending time at a castle. Just a personal preference.

Fun day in Loire Valley

Just enough to get a great feel of the historic setting of Chambord and the wines of the region. Small group was wonderful. Our wine expert guide taught us a lot about the wines and was able to explain every aspect of our visit in easy to understand terms . Clement was a wonderful driver and made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed . Very welcoming!

Perfect day in Loire Valley

This was such a fantastic tour. I was sceptical booking but glad I did. There are only 8 people max on the tour which made it tailored and unique. Clement our tour guide was fabulous, highly educated expert in history and wine and knew all the family run estates to try wine. We had the best day and highly recommend.

Nice but not worth the price.

It was nice, but definitely not worth the cost. We did have a good time, and I would have been happy to pay about half of what I did, but no more than that for what you are getting from this.

A Very Nice Day in the Loire Valley

We had booked this tour before leaving the US. And exactly as promised, our guide (Victor) was at our hotel as scheduled to pick us up. We had a fairly long ride (maybe 2 hours) to our first stop, the Chambord Chateau. It is an amazing place to visit and we had sufficient time to tour the building and grounds at our own pace. As we were leaving the Chateau, the tour buses were starting to arrive, so the timing of our visit was very good. After a short drive, we stopped at a vineyard and Victor provided us with some interesting background on the varieties, soils, growing methods, etc. of the Loire Valley. Lunch was a taken at a very unique local establishment with the fare, wine, and service being first class. Later, a very nice tour and tasting was conducted at a small winery. The return trip to Paris was again a couple hours but it provided a good opportunity to speak with Victor about the local culture and customs. Victor lived in the US for a time, so he understands English (and Americans) very well. We were dropped-off within a few minutes walk of our hotel. All-in-all, a very enjoyable day,

We absolutely loved this tour! We...

<p>We absolutely loved this tour! We started the day with Victor picking us up at our hotel. He provided delicious butter croissants for breakfast and a bottle of water be sure to grab your own coffee from the hotel or something if you need caffeine in the morning. Victor drove us to Chateau de Chambord a gorgeous castle about 60-90 minutes outside of Paris. You get almost two hours to just explore on your own, but all admission and stuff is included in your overall tour package. After the castle, we drove to Vouvray in the Loire Valley. We went to this great little winery that is entirely organic and family run. The owner walked us around the property and explained their history and how they plant, treat, pick, make and store their wine. It was very informative and interesting! You do a small tasting of three different wines and then the owner takes the opened bottles to their back yard where they provide a three-course lunch. It was awesome to just sit and talk while enjoying great food and excellent wine. After that was done we went to one other winery and did a tasting. They explained their process they are a larger winery and we got to see their storage caves and how the caves were made. The tour is a full day commitment, but it is definitely worth it! Victor was an awesome guide and Juliette at le Clos de la Meslerie was a very gracious host!</p>

Ho visitato lunedì pomeriggio questo castello immenso, stupendo , con dei giardini ben curati, un parco enorme e gli interni favolosi che per il poco tempo che avevo non sono riuscita a vedere tutto, in compenso ho visitato il parco con una golfcar che mi ha permesso di godere della vista meravigliosa del castello
