Great tour with a fantastic guide!

This was a great tour with our fantastic guide Jill! We had the privilege to have Jill for a “private tour” since the other persons did not show. Jill is very nice, funny and highly knowledgeable on the history of the Marais including the Romans and the middle age eras, the establishment of jewish quarter and the rise of the gay community. We loved it! Thank you Jill !

A very informative tour around the Marais

The tour with Jill was exactly what we were hoping for…and better. We came away with an appreciation of modern day Marais and also its historic past. She pointed out details that we otherwise would have missed.

Le Marais Walking Tour

This was my first time visiting the Le Marais area in Paris. Jill is an excellent tour guide. She is very personable, knowledgeable and passionate about the rich history of Le Marais. It was like going back in time with her to the 13th to 17th century of how this place all began. It is amazing to see some original buildings that still exist with newer buildings and how it has evolved into a charming district for everyone to visit. From historical and architectural buildings to cobblestones paths, and baked goods to restaurants, galleries, hip and unique boutiques, this place still has a strong presence of the Jewish Community, and acknowledging the gay community. Will definitely come back with my family on our next visit to Paris!

Time well-spent in Le Marais

We had the pleasure of touring part of Le Marais with our tour guide, Jill. She is knowledgeable, personable and quite funny! As the tour started, Jill took the time to learn about each of our interests and why we were visiting Paris. We then walked many of the streets of Le Marais while Jill shared her knowledge of the history and current status of the Jewish and LGBTQ communities there. Because of her recommendation we decided to return to the area the next day and thoroughly enjoyed an exhibit at the Centre Pompidou. Informative tour of Le Marais

Jill is a very knowledgeable and personable guide. We were a group of 4 and she took the time to address our interests and answer our questions. We definitely left having walked many areas of the Marais as well as learning about some of the history of its Jewish and LGBTQ communities.

Wonderful Tour of an Interesting Area of Paris

The tour was extremely interesting and Jill, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable of this area. She took the time in the beginning to get to know us and figure out what we would be interested in seeing and learning about. She was also very accommodating for our physical limitations. I highly recommend this tour to see an area of Paris not normally covered on the usual tours. In all a wonderful tour.

A tour worth taking!

The Le Marais tour with Jill was truly fantastic! She not only followed scheduled scripted tour but was open to any question about the neighborhood with marvelous spontaneous answers. Though the tour was scheduled only for two hours, she kept us mesmerized for another 30 minutes. It was a tour worth taking!

I just moved to Paris, so I thought I'd take a tour to get some fun facts and locations to show friends and family when they visit. Jill was so great I think I'll just book a private tour with her when they visit! The guide’s knowledge of changes in the streets and programs in the area over the last 12 years. The guide demonstrated a love of Paris and displayed that in her presentation concerning the buildings and life in general in this great neighborhood in Paris.

The Best Guided Tour in Paris!

We were on the Viking cruise with tours every day and stayed in Paris an extra 3 nights afterwards. This tour was far and above the best one. Jill was phenomenal. She met us promptly and took us around the district and showed us details that we would not have gotten anywhere else. She answered all of our questions and took her time. My wife has knee problems and Jill was very accommodating. Her audio headset was very comfortable and clear. We highly recommend Jill as your tour guide. Don’t miss this one!

Not only is she knowledgeable, but extremely flexible in customizing the tour to emphasize the client’s specific interests. Jill was an excellent tour guide. She was not afraid to ask us what our interests were and she catered to them. Showed us several great places we wouldn’t have found and had stories about each one. We were the only people on our tour and she wasn’t concerned about going over the allotted time.

Jill was an incredibly knowledgeable and patient guide for Paris.

Due to a scheduling issue I had to change the date of my tour. Despite the fact I was the only person signed up I was worried it would be awkward or significantly shorter experience. However Jill made me feel right at home. Her passion and knowledge of Paris is great. You can tell she loves the city and its history. She gave me some cool information in the gay areas and also in the jewish areas of Le Marais.

Easily the Best Tour I Have ever Taken

Hands down best tour I have ever taken. Jill was extremely knowledgeable, pointing out and explaining details that only a weathered Parisian would notice. Interesting tour with a knowledgeable guide

Jill was wonderful! She did a great job of making it entertaining for our family of 4, including two teenagers. She asked about our interests and then focused the tour on what we wanted to hear about. We learned so much and had a great afternoon. Superb Marais District Walking Tour

Jill was an excellent tour guide who provided an interesting and historically significant tour of La Marais district. She didn’t miss a thing and included the historically significant events - from the swamps, to the first church in 630AD, to the 3 kings Henry IV, Louis IV?, Louis XIII. Her stories of these 3 kings made me want to hear more about them! There was something for everyone as she also talked about architecture, art, food, and much much more. We ended on a high with Gregos pop art. She was so engaging I’d do it again!

We absolutely loved our time with Jill in Le Marais. She went out of her way to accommodate us when we cannot make our original tour time due to flight delays, and she took the time to understand what we wanted to see and learn about before starting our tour. Great walk on Mare

it was a nice stroll in the rainy Mare, which gave perfect mood to explore the “Swamp” area with Jill. She is very knowledgeable on the history ot this placee, really accommodating to our needa (helping to buy cheap umbrellas), engaging us in the process, giving tips where try good food in the Jewish quarter.

Personalized tour of Le Marais

The tour guide Jill was very engaging and knowledgeable! Even though I was the only one who signed up for the tour, she was happy to give a "private tour" with just me. She also asked me about myself and adjusted the tour to suit my interests. Le Marais is a really cute historical neighborhood, definitely worth it!

Le Marais/Paris visit

Our guide, Jill, was very knowledgeable about the area and it’s history. It was a walking tour/history session not only about the area, but some other bits about Paris and France. We were with her for about 2-1/2 hours. She did ask us several times if we wanted to continue with more walking or stop at any point and finish up, which was very nice. Our group was small with only six people. Jill did try to get to know each of us for a more interesting interaction. Although we have been to Paris many times my Wife and I came away feeling that we are much more knowledgeable about Le Marais district and Paris. If it’s warm weather bring water, a snack if you need it and wear comfortable shoes.
