Wonderful guide

We had a wonderful guide and a nice group. We arrived early and although lines moved well, I think it is a mistake to travel to France in June (or summer), everywhere, not just Giverny was clogged with tourists. The gardens are smaller than I expected and lack the nasturtium path Monet had, the kitchen and dining room are wonderful. The gift shop is huge but disappointing. The writer Julian Barnes talks off plates he once bought there, nothing of that quality, the same sort of tourist stuff you get everywhere: tshirts, tea towels... I wish they had smaller versions of his ceramic cat at the fireplace. The visit to the church and graveyard were surprisingly interesting.

Well worth a visit

An easy and pleasant trek to Giverny. The guide was a smart, charming young person who was a good driver and shared plenty of interesting details of Claude Monet’s life and work. The flower gardens in front of Monet’s house were spectacular!

Our guide, Clement, created a fun experience and we had a lively group! The gardens were exquisite as was visiting Monet’s house.

A Pleasant Day With Mssr. Monet

This was a logistically simple and informative tour. Clement was a very attentive, kind, and patient tour guide. Only criticism is that an introduction to Giverny was provided near the entrance rather and it would have been better if this was done after gaining admission to the crowded house to assure optimum time there and in the garden and gift shop.

Balóu did a fabulous job . However the gardens themselves were so crowded not sure we would recommend going at this time. Maybe the early morning tour isn’t as crowded. The tour guide and the van was great

Most worthwhile experience

Our guide Nicholas was so pleasant, energetic, patient, knowledgeable, and flexible... the ride there and back went by quickly despite some traffic on the return... we had plenty of time to enjoy the lily pond surrounded by incredible flowers and the presence of Monet's spirit, then to his home, and more than enough time in the gift shop. We went on to visit a beautiful church which neighbored Monet and his family's graves. It was more than we could have hoped for. We don't generally like group tours, but this was a small group, well worth every penny and every minute of time.

Monet’s Gardens Brought to Life

Very enjoyable trip. Julie was a personable and knowledgeable guide. Her English was excellent. The gardens were beautiful and Monet’s home was interesting. The van was comfortable and Julie made the ride pleasant with her commentary.

A day at Monet’s

Victor from Blue Fox travel was our guide. He was great. Talked about the history of Monet’s home, family tree, gardens and finally his gravesite. Small group of 7 in a passenger van. One of the highlights of our trip to Paris. Well worth the time and money. Highly recommend this experience.

Great morning in Giverney!

Our morning in Giverny was wonderful. Victor, our driver and guide, was knowledgeable and pleasant and the house, gardens and water lily pond were spectacularly beautiful.

So much beauty in Giverney

Wendysam was a terrific guide, he was kind and accommodating to everyone. He made the group feel very comfortable together. We learned a bit about Monet and visited his grave before we went to the garden itself. The garden was magnificent! I can’t imagine a more beautiful time to visit! So much was in bloom and it was so exciting to be in a space Monet created and was so inspired by. We spent all our time in the garden and didn’t go in the house so I can’t speak to that. I’m an artist and look forward to creating paintings of Giverney!

Not worth the price

We picked this tour because it had great reviews and there were weekend train closures over the weekend, so we couldn't get there ourselves. On arriving at the meeting point, the check-in process was confusing- guides were not clearly visible. We had Kezia as our guide- he was nice but lacked enthusiasm. We did not learn very much and felt there was little information and detail provided. Kezia was not very engaging as a guide. The tour was not worth the price we paid and I would not recommend this tour. The Giverny House and gardens themselves were lovely. The house was very crowded around the middle of the day with extremely slow moving lines.

Great tour, well worth the price. Were able to see Giverny and the Monet gardens easily within a half-day. Excellent vehicle and guide, appreciated the small group tour.

The best way to see Monet's Gardens

We enjoyed our tour and wouldn't have done it any other way. Our guide was friendly, organized and informed. I especially liked visiting the church and cemetery, as well as the gardens and lily pond.

Monet’s Gardens are stunning!

Giverny and Monet’s gardens are not to be missed. Our tour guide, Julie was wonderful. She provided lots of info about Monet, his gardens, the town. She knew where to take us first to avoid the crowds and get pictures before more groups arrived. She was very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend her and Blue Fox Travel!

Julie was great and extremely informative, friendly and enthusiastic! Pick up location was easy to find. The amount of time at Giverny was perfect. Good value for the price.

Best way to go to Monet's Paradise

It was nice having someone else do the driving, and the group size of 7 was just right. Great driver/guide.

Guide was excellent....

Guide was excellent. Gardens were gorgeous as usual. However, the French authorities are going to have to limit attendance at key attractions like Giverney. It was grossly overcrowded which is not conducive to the experience of visiting a garden.

Great experience

This was a well-organised tour with a professional and friendly guide. I had a chance to attend only on the weekend, when the place becomes very busy around 10am. But with this tour, the entry took only 1 minute. The place is very beautiful and spiritual, a "must see" for those who love impressionism. We had enough time to see Monet's house and the gardens.

Monet’s Giverny Garden Masterpiece

Our van driver and tour guide, Nico, was the perfect host for our afternoon adventure to Giverny. He shared many stories of Monet over the years that brought him to life for us. The gardens were very plush and did not disappoint. There were many tours that congregated here, so it was definitely a popular place….maybe a tad too crowded for me. I don’t know what the peak time of day or specific day of the week is sought after…..maybe worth checking out. All in all, I got many photos for creative inspiration. My husband and I enjoyed the tour immensely.

Great half day trip!

What a great way to spend a half day outside of Paris! We were excited to make the trip to Giverny and Bluefox could not have made the experience better. The tour bus arrived to the meeting point on time and had great communication and logistics for the trip. We traveled comfortably out of the city and to our destination with a knowledgable and friendly tour guide. He was great. Our guide made the trip just that much better on top of the awesome experience of the destination itself. 10 / 10 would do this tour again and will recommend it to all my friends.

Easy Breezy Way to See Beautiful Gardens

We had a wonderful time on this small-group tour! It’s entirely possible to get to Giverny from Paris by public transportation, but we appreciated sitting back and letting someone else do the navigation. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly and had a great sense of humor. He arrived on time to the pickup spot and did a great job navigating the narrow Normandy streets and Paris traffic. We started the tour at Monet’s grave and had the churchyard to ourselves. We arrived at Monet’s house and gardens shortly after opening and were able to do a quick guided tour of the grounds. After that, we were allowed free time to visit at our leisure. We felt that we had the perfect amount of time to see everything. And with the growing crowds, we were happy to depart a little before midday. An efficient way to experience the beauty of Giverny without the hassle of getting there yourself! Highly recommend.

Excellent Trip

Loved the gardens and Nico, our guide, was fun very personable! We got gorgeous pictures. Going with a small group was so wonderful and allowed us to avoid the crowds.

Giverny - must do!

I got a last-minute spot on this half-day tour to Giverny, organised by Blue Fox. The tour lasted for a total of 4.5 hours. As promised in the description, we were a small group of 8 people in a minicoach. I did the 2pm tour at the end of May. Our first stop was Monet's grave, where our tour guide gave a thorough explanation of everything that needed to be covered for the entire duration of the tour. Thereafter, we went to Monet's Home, Garden, and the Pond, where he painted the Water Lillies. I could've easily spent half a day there, staring at the water and the flowers. The site is crowded, so you are forced to follow a single queue. I've read lots of negative reviews from travellers who complained that the tour guide didn't accompany them inside the site. But if you visit the site at peak times, you will notice that there's no space for tour guides to stop with their groups, which is why they don't accompany you. The queue leading up to Monet's house was too long for my liking, so I chose to skip it. Instead, I strolled around the picturesque village. Final thoughts: 2 hours wasn't enough to cover the site as well as the village. I would like to revisit the site at a quiet time of year. Traveller tip: Buy 'skip the line' tickets in advance. Carry cash (euros), as some shops and cafes in the village don't take card payments.

Company never showed up for the tour

I never write reviews. I was early to the correct pickup location but the company never showed to pick me up for the Monet Giverny tour. I wasted 5 hours in Paris on my trip of a lifetime. I hope to get a full refund. Stay tuned…

Memorable Adventure to Giverny and Monet’s Estate

Excellent guide led a half day trip to see the countryside and visit Monet’s gardens, home, and grave. The guide provided interesting information during the drive, the beginning of the visit to Monet’s estate, and while visiting his burial site. We were given the perfect amount of time to explore the grounds independently. The guide answered all questions throughout the trip and helped make the day memorable. I highly recommend!

Monet's gardens, a must see

Ideal group size. Out tour guide was super nice. Could have had a little more time at Monet's hoise as we returned to Paris before the estimated time, but we had a nice time.

Good tour but needed more information from guide.

The guide arrived late due to some traffic problems but besides that we had a nice experience. We also expected that the guide will be with us during the house and garden visit but it did not happened.

To walk in the garden imagine as Monet did is amazing

Arrived early at the designated place and easily locate the van that our tour guide Augustine drove. It was raining from the start at the church until the garden tour but didnt dampen the whole atmosphere.. the whole 8 of us were high spirited and keeping up the good spirit. Augustine kindly provide us umbrellas and he’s really nice gentleman providing steps to get off and on the mini van. Gamely introduce all the history about Monet and his life despite the gloomy weather.. lovely flowers in the garden, theres an array of colours in the garden, it is not perfect but maintaining in the current state is already commendable.. alot of tourists despite the rain and still as a fan of monet i did enjoy the tour. Recommend this prvt tour no doubt!

I take lots of tours but for some reason I realized we missed the start time by fifteen minutes. I sent a note to the guide apologizing and I felt very bad. I was hoping to hear back something, like sorry we missed you. Now this is on me, I missed it and I sent a note. My only feedback is, someone that’s cares would reply.

Monet's Gardens in the rain!

Great day to beautiful gardens of Monet. Because we had a smaller bus we were able to pass by smaller villages along the way, and park much closer to Monet's house and gardens. We were still glad we went even though it was absolutely pouring!

Great Guide with Savvy on How to Navigate the Crowds at Giverny

Great choice for a 1/2 day trip out to Giverny with Brun. What I appreciated most was that she got us on-site and to the water gardens prior to the enormous crowds arriving so that we could enjoy that area, the flower gardens and the house in a relaxed atmosphere. She not only knew the history of the property and area, but also how best to tour it to minimize the impact of the crowds that arrive daily. Brun was incredible kind, informative,and attentive as a guide. Highly recommend!
