what a bummer!

unfortunately, our van picked us up *first* at our hotel, the mandarin oriental, then went and picked up 2 additional parties bc the tour was for a maximum of 6 ppl; however(!), we spent an hour and 20 minutes in the van picking up the other 2 parties then literally drove right past our hotel again!! i mean, right past our hotel! as a result of this pickup itinerary snafu, which i understand is dictated by the company, we spent nearly 3 hours in the car-minibus-van just to get there!! arrggh …. agonizing!! furthermore, the gardens didn’t overly impress me and while i can’t say with 100% certainty, i can only suspect and surmise that it had to have been due to the horrific weather paris suffered the week prior to our arrival. needless to say, as a result, the gardens looked as though they had been rather neglected … overgrown, unattended, not maintained, etc. i feel badly leaving this review but after spending nearly 5 hrs in a van - round trip to/ from our hotel, i expected more. big disappointment all the way around.

Pascal (our driver) was great! Lots of knowledge and explain interesting fact while driving carefully. We recommended the service to whoever wants a small experience.

Great service to Giverny

Frederick was an excellent host and driver to Giverny. We were staying in an apartment, but he booked a close pick up. We arrived shortly after 9:00 am and he led us to a separate entrance and we were in the Monet gardens. This time of day is excellent, as there are much fewer people. We had a safe and enjoyable trip.

A great place to visit!!

Love love loved the experience. The driver was very sweet and took great care of us all. The trip is being picked up at your hotel, then dropped off. You get to go at your own pace and get hours to wander and see the sights. We lunched at the restaurant by the house and it was exceptional.

So the pick up and drop is seamless, the ride is comfortable, En route to giverny, English tour guide on the television will give you a detailed introduction and thereafter when you reach the destination it’s Basically a self guided tour. It’s beautiful and you can explore things on your own.

Half day visit to Monet's gardens in Giverny from Paris

We had an excellent driver Frederic, who picked us up at our hotel in Paris. Frederic is an amazing driver in the Paris traffic. He provided us with an excellent commentary on sites of interest in Paris while we were en route. He guided us to the gardens, showed us the layout and the points of interest. He was right there on time to pick us up when our 3 hour visit to the gardens and Giverny was over. Would highly recommend that you also walk to the church to visit Monet's grave and a commonwealth grave from WWII. Giverny is a lovely little town.

Giverny did not disappoint

Beautiful flowers at Giverny! Plenty of time to wander around and see the gardens, the house and walk around the town. Really appreciated the pickup and drop off at our hotel. Very convenient. I highly recommend this trip!!!

A must see, but shorter time

The time at Giverny is too long and no need to be there for 4 hrs Your system doesn’t allow fluid communication which is very frustrating

Giverny by Car

Excellent driver, comfortable air conditioned car, told us interesting stories about Paris and gave us good info on how to make the most of our visit to the gardens- go to garden first and maison 2nd.

Fabulous gardens & house!

Well worth the trip! My mother & I visited 27 May 2024 in the morning. Beautiful house, the gardens with their variety of plants, plantings & colors were just stunning. The water lily ponds exceeded my expectations. 4hrs was enough time to do the house, tour the gardens & have lunch. I would have liked a bit longer to walk in the village which is also picturesque. I would go again! TripAdvisor, Paris webservices day tours were good & I liked the in car video about Monet & Giverny shown en route. Our driver, Pascal was excellent. We had a meeting point pickup at Chez Gladines, got off at Les Halles metro. It was confusing which porte/street exit to take getting out of Les Halles but luckily we had allowed enough time, 4 mins early & Pascal was already there to meet us. We also really enjoyed the drive through Paris via Arc de Triomphe.

Monet’s Gardens—a must see!

The Monet Gardens—in spite of the rain, the gardens were beautiful as was the little artists’ village. We did not go in the house as the line was too long.

If you love Monet and flowers then this is the tour for you !

Great Visit to Monet's Gardens with Viator

Our driver, Pascal, was friendly and very informative, pointing out the most famous sights of Paris as we made our way toward Giverny. The video gave us the basics about Monet, his life, and Impressionism, in general. The ride was comfortable. We had plenty of time to explore the house, gardens, and the town, and even enjoyed coffee at one of the restaurants. Pascal picked us back up promptly and delivered us to the pickup point as swiftly as traffic allowed. This is a great tour and my wife and I highly recommend this visit to Monet's gardens.

Great tour but inappropriate conversations

The tour and organization was flawless, with enough time to explore the gardens and the town of Giverny. We absolutely recommend doing this tour. One thing we didn’t like at all was that, during our van ride, other guests had inappropriate conversations involving politics, which were discriminatory and controversial. The van driver seemed to be entertaining these topics rather than moving on from them and focusing on more neutral/less divisive ones.

Unforgettable experience

Very prompt pickup outside our hotel. Perfect. Our driver Pascal was suburb! So full of information and willing to answer our many questions. Great communicator took us exactly where we needed to be to enter & return LOVED Monet’s garden - had been hoping to see it for a long time!

Monet's Garden by Paris Web Services

Paris Web Services driver was excellent. A small group with local pickup, we were driven to Giverny and everything we needed to know for our stay was thoughtfully explained by our driver and in the video that was shown during the journey. Service was impeccable with good communication before pickup from both hotel and the gardens. The gardens themselves were beautiful and well worth the visit.

Giverny trip

It was lovely to be in the gardens in the fresh air. Our driver was so nice and knowledgeable. We saw much of Paris along the way.

Our guide Frederic,the garden and the whole experience was excellent.The garden in particular was an ethereal experience.

Perfect morning!

Our driver Frederic was fantastic. Very kind, informative and did his best to give us a great experience. Grounds were gorgeous and we had enough time to visit everything, including the grave-site.

We were picked up on time by the driver and taken to Giverny exactly as planned our guide laid out the area for us advising us of good places to visit and grab a bite to eat. Pickup was on time. It was a lovely day!

Monet's Gardens up close & for REAL! I am beyond thrilled.

Great tour

Our driver Pascal told history about Paris and Giverny during the drive which added a lot to our trip! Giverny was gorgeous and there was plenty of time to see it all plus have lunch. Outstanding experience!

Not a good value.

The gardens were beautiful and I enjoyed seeing Monet's house but we had to wait in a long line to see the house. Fred was a nice driver, friendly and informative, but Christopher was non-communicative. Maybe he was having a bad day? This trip was expensive! Especially when you consider it just provided transportation and a video in the van on the way. Entry fee is only 10 Euros.

Excellent way to travel to and enjoy Giverny.

Our driver, Pascal was very pleasant and helpful. He gave thorough instructions of when and where to meet at the end of the tour. It was very nice to be able to use the group entrance and get right in to the gardens. Our original booking was cancelled and Paris Webservices was very helpful in getting us rescheduled. We had a lovely time.

Nice day in Giverny

We were so glad that we chose this small group tour because we were picked up at our hotel at the exact time, along with 6 other people. The driver took us to a back entrance for groups and we got right in! The lines were so long to purchase tickets, which we did not need to do! The house and gardens are so delightful. And the rest of the village is nice to see also.

An excellent experience not to be missed

An excellent trip to Giverny. Our driver was very informative as we drove out of Paris and to Giverny. Our tickets allowed us to bypass the very long queue. Thoroughly enjoyed the exposed would definitely recommend it.

This was my second visit to Monet’s garden. I just love it. We were picked up at our hotel, on time. Very comfortable trip.

Memories

The Garden was in absolute full Spring bloom. It was enchanting and all we hoped it to be. The driver that picked us up and brought us back to Paris was on time and very pleasant, as well as informative. Even though the garden was full of people, we were able to fully embrace our experience. We left with memories.

Pascal was on time for pick up and it was a pleasant drive with a film to Giverny. Giverny was amazing even though you were on your own. Gardens and House were amazing but missed Monet’s gravesite. Drive back was timely and pleasant.

Monet's gardens are spectacular and impeccably maintained. Communication was excellent from Viator for your and pickup at our hotel. Our driver Pascal was on time and did a great job with information on Giverny. Giverny should not be missed. It is so beautiful. Timing with crowds is to be considered.

Stress free way to enjoy Monet's Garden and Giverny

My Mom and I had a lovely time visiting Monet's Garden in Giverny. The "Giverny & Monet Half Day Small Group" tour package that picked us up at our hotel made the day effortless and stress-free. There was a daunting line to get into the garden, but since we were on our tour, we got to go to a side door and go straight in! Once in, they let us know when and where to meet to return to the van. Then we were on our own to enjoy the gardens and Giverny! The tour package includes your access to Monet's beautiful gardens and house. After the gardens, we had a lovely lunch at a nearby outdoor cafe. We had plenty of time and never felt rushed. Highly recommend the service and their friendly staff.

April 28, 2024 Giverny small van ride.

We had four hrs at Giverny which was adequate. Felt the price for the small group transport was a bit high. The benefit I guess was the back group entry and the information on the video during the ride.

Wonderful drivers made this trip to Giverny from our place in Paris possible. Our visit to the house and gardens was perfect.

Fabulous morning in Giverny!

I driver Pascal was great. He picked us up right on-time at our hotel and got us to Monet’s garden right at 9am. The garden was spectacular after early morning rain showers. Neither the garden or house were crowded during our time there, allowing us to view both at a leisurely pace. After visiting the church up the road, we capped or morning with a delicious lunch at Au Coin Du Pain Tre Cafe. Back in Paris by 2:15pm. Fantastic!!!

Magical Giverny

The gardens are always so spectacular with so many flowers in blume. We enjoyed walking the pathways and especially the green bridge with the wisteria. Love Giverny!

Lovely experience

We decided on a small group transportation to Giverny. Our driver picked us up promptly and then we picked up two other couples at other hotels. The driver was very knowledgeable regarding Miney and giverny and actually had a DVD that he shared with us on our drive. We picked up our tickets and the moment you enter into the gardens it’s absolutely enchanting with all the spring flowers and full bloom, the water running through the gardens was amazing, then we toured the gardens and Monet’s home. Everything was lovely. Then we went to Local museum and had lunch in the new restaurant. The food was pretty good. We walked through the streets of Giverney and to the church and cemetery where Monet and his family were buried. It was a half-day trip for us, which was perfect. Then the driver took us all back to our individual hotels. Highly recommend tour and driver.
