Wonderful tour!

Wonderful trip! The tour guide and the driver were excellent and both very knowledgeable. Just a perfect visit!

The tour started late so...

The tour started late so we had 90 minutes which was not a sufficient amount of time in our opinion. We were hoping to visit the little town as well but time did not permit. We felt rushed and disappointed.

Amazing day

Absolutely beautiful so glad we did tour.it rained all day but feeling there was amazing .The house was like stepping back in time,just gorgeous. Definitely do it if you can won't be dissappointed

Good, but not enough time

The visit to Monet's Gardens was a fun adventure, but it was much too little time there as compared to the travel time to and from Giverny. We didn't have much education about either the gardens or Monet's life/family/experiences at Giverny, which was disappointing.

Guide,Alex, was great and...

Guide,Alex, was great and able to keep a group of 30 together. The gardens were beautiful but unable to enjoy the peacefulness because the crowds were so large and paths so crowded.

Disappointing

The setting was lively. The guide was very likeable but spoke too fast and too much. It was difficult to understand her Kudos to our driver who was extremely patient in a very long traffic jam at the end of the day

Lovely, but very crowded

The gardens were beautiful, but the crowds were massive. You could barely walk through the paths to enjoy the area. Our group was much too large with 38 people and we could not catch up with the guide once we entered the gardens. We we ended up exploring on our own. The guide was lovely, but the size of the group was unmanageable.

Consider using your time differently

The gardens are lovely. The tour guide tried her best but there were too many people assigned to the tour (38) and the head set sounds were unintelligible. The gardens were extremely overground with people. The bus ride was comfortable but the bus restrooms were closed apparently since covid times.

Giverny: Blink and you missed it

Giverny - Monet's house and garden - was absolutely wonderful. The guided half day trip was not. Significantly more time is needed simply to enjoy the house and garden, let alone the village of Giverny. It would also be nice if options had been apparent to us beforehand, e.g., taking a morning bus out and returning on the evening one.

Slice of heaven on earth

Such a wonderful experience! Our guide Alexandria brought the memory of Claude Monet alive along our travels to and within the gardens and home of the estate. Photos do not truly share the beauty of this little slice of heaven but will do for now. Well worth the 1.5 hour bus ride and highly recommend this trip b

5 hours in a bus (not advertised, and not because of traffic). Very misleading in the time spent in transit.

Alex was wonderful. Extremely misleading. Says little over an hour one way by bus, impossible. More time spent I. Transit than at the gardens. Waste of money.

Our bus left over an hour late resulting in a very rushed tour which did not provide the itinerary promised and no time to visit Givernay at all.

Paris taxi service

Allowed ourselves 1hr to get to the pick up site, but couldn’t get a taxi and arrived 30 minutes late

Monet’s Garden

Beautiful garden.. interesting house with decorative rooms. Especially enjoyed the kitchen & dining room!

A mixed bag

The rude passengers and the unresponsive guide made the trip a harrowing experience for someone who is slightly handicapped. The guides instructions were difficult to understand, and her English was confusing because of its frequent ESL errors. She was, however, pleasant and friendly.

Paris Day Trip to Giverny

Giverny and Monet's Gardens are definitely worth the visit. You can really see where he got his inspiration for his paintings. The village is nice with some shops and dining options.

Beautiful gardens!

Alex was a great guide! She used headsets during the tour of the gardens so we didn’t miss any details. She was very patient and kind even as our group size was unexpectedly doubled due to another guide calling in sick. The gardens were very crowded but she did a great job of keeping us on schedule and giving us a great experience. The gardens are a must-see for fans of Impressionism!

Gorgeous Giverny

Our guide - Isabel was SUPER! The stunning gardens were still in peak spring blooms. The traffic getting out of Paris was HORRENDOUS but otherwise it was a wonderful day and well worth the trip.

Wonderfully beautiful and very informatve

Garden's were beyond beautiful. House was very nice, but dining room and kitchen were outstanding. Not a tour for most physically challenged; difficult, almost impossible for, for the challenged. Guide was very informative on drive to site, a little confusing on exit meeting place though. Overall, a good, informative tour - needs more time for full appreciation of site.

Had potential but the rain didn’t help.

I was looking forward to learning about Monet and his garden. But, the bus was 30 mins late, the guide was nice enough but because there were so many people booked in the tour and visitors at the gardens, we didn’t hear any of the commentary. The rain didn’t help.

House was crowded, they need to allocate entry times for the number of groups attending. Garden is in great shape

Giverny Trip

Our guide Isabelle was very knowledgeable, spoke perfect English and was extremely helpful. Note that the location is very crowded but the lines moved fairly well.

Nice day trip

Monets house was interesting. The morning trip paid off because we got right into the house without a wait. Our guide Alexandra was outstanding.

Bad experience

Audio equipment didn't work. Guide told us we would get a partial refund since I was experience was impacted and we couldn't take the tour properly. The company only reimburse 15% of the total cost. I was expecting at least a half price refund.

A great value for such an experience

The trip exceeded my expectations. Steve, our tour guide, was so knowledgeable about every aspect of Monet’s life. He also made it easy for us to join the group again after we wandered the gardens and the beautiful home and studio. I also enjoyed meeting fellow art enthusiasts on the tour.

Great tour

Wonderful tour that explained a number of the plants and trees, the planning of the garden, and a bit about Monet's life at Giverney. Out guide, Brigitte, was excellent.

Malfunctioning microphone spoiled my experience

The Monet Gardens are all you can ask for. I rated the whole experience 3 because our tour guide’s microphone wouldn’t function. As a result half the group fortunate enough to have internet cell connections on their mobile phones scanned a QR code and went off on their own. The remaining half either 1) stayed with the guide, who took us very slowly around the gardens, or 2) got separated from the guide due to the massive crowd. My travel companion was one of those who got separated. She went first to the house then the garden but would have liked a commentary. I stayed with the guide and never got to see the house as, by then the line for the house was an hour wait and we were out of time. I would still suggest an organised tour because they can bypass the long ticket line. But once inside it would be better to have ear buds with a recorder so you can go faster, bypassing parts you may not be interested in.

Very touristy and rushed . Garden worth seeing and house ok. No time for Impressionist Gallery nearby which was very disappointing

Bus late and took longer to get thete.it was raining do no ones fault. Gardens Absolutely beautiful and lots of blooms Enjoyed the day but could of been a lot better organised

Magical experience

This experience was totally worth it. I would recommend getting the transfer and entrance without the guide. Our guide was very good, but I don't think it added much. The property itself was beyond description. I'm not much of an art person, but I do like Monet and found the whole property magical.

Lovely trip, great guide, nice coach

Great trip. Takes about an hour to get there. We were early so went straight in but got very busy. Our guide was great. Very clear in English. Nice sightseeing journey on part of way back. Worth the early start. Coach was nice. Only grumble is it’s confusing at the initial meeting point as so many people and no clear signage but once past that all good.

A Special Visit

The gardens were exceptional and Alexandra certainly knowledgeable! Choosing a Saturday, during a holiday weekend, was a bit of a problem as Giverny was so crowded! Alexandra handled it well but I would have enjoyed it more if it was less crowded! However, the weather was perfect and in terms of my travel, it was essential that I chose that day!!!

Nonstop Color!

We visited the gardens in late April, and the flowers were gorgeous, quite spectacular! Our guide told us April and May have the most flowers blooming. The gardens were very crowded, but there was a one way path to follow to keep things flowing. The interior of the house was interesting as well. There is road construction in Paris that added a chunk of time each way to the drive. Since they had another tour in the afternoon, that time was simply subtracted from the amount of time we had at the property. There was enough time to view the home and garden, but not enough to leave the property to explore.

Short visit for reasons beyond tour operator control

Due to road blocks on Paris streets (political activity) We had only a little more than an hour at the house/gardens. Tour guide could have done a better job of helping us make the most of the short visit based on interests of the guests. First 15 min wasted waiting for people in the toilet line (was the lav on the bus available…it was never mentioned). Sound system not good, especially on the bus. I heard/understood little of what guide said. Roads still closed when we got back tp Paris so we could not reach our drop off point by bus. Everyone encouraged to get off bus and walk, in my case 30 min in area where I had no sense of direction. Help getting Uber or to Metro would have been appreciated.

Just do it

Our guide, Alex was fabulous. Unfortunately Paris traffic was gridlocked which meant we only had an hour at Giverney. Monets garden was totally worth the trip.

Trip took so long we had to rush our time in the gardens Guide’s headset was cheap and tinny. Hard to hear her. Even though it was not mentions in the info we got, we were dropped off over a mile from where we boarded the bus

Serene beauty

Seeing the gardens and pond revealed the inspiration for many of his paintings. Beautiful, peaceful.

Alexandra and the best tour in France

The grounds were impeccable, the property clean and the crowd was relatively sized. Our guide, Alexandra, had a great sense of humor, casual and very knowledgeable of the process, the estate and about the Artist himself. She was very engaging, helpful and accountable. It was the highlight of our time in France.

I would go again!

We had a great tour guide with a comfortable ride to and from Monet's House/Garden. I recommend this tour to everyone. It went very smoothly.

Beautiful trip to the countryside

This was a highlight of our week long trip to Paris. After 5 days in the city it was so nice to get on a big nice bus and go out into the countryside. Beautiful drive there and very beautiful at Monet’s House and Garden. Our guide was very informative and easy to understand. She was very nice as well. Overall, I highly recommend this tour.

Fabulous flowers!

The gardens were so beautiful in late April. The tulips, wisteria, and peonies were all so lovely and bountiful. As a gardener, this was my favorite excursion from Paris. I would highly recommend the trip.

Nice

The guide was very nice , informative , and pleasant. I wish the tour would give us an hour free time to wonder and have lunch and some leisure time before returning back !

Great tour and guide but viator overcharged me.

The tour was great. Great tour guide..however Viator charged me double, after I confirmed with Viator that I only had one booking.

Overall, a nice tour. The half day tour is a little short on time,but not bad. Guide was extremely knowledgable, not only about Monet.

Giverny gardens were a hit

Great site, great guide who provided history and perspective on thr gardens and on Monet's life and times. Very enjoyable trip and the gardens themselves are beautiful.
