The gardens made me feel I am inside Monet's paintings, his house took me back in time and and all together helped me understand his art.

Beautiful Monet Day!

Michelle was excellent guide! History of Monet on drive there as well as surrounding areas. We were taken straight to the entrance and shown where to go and what to expect. It was so much better than expected! Such a beautiful experience with plenty of time to soak it all in and take lots of beautiful pictures!!! We also had plenty of time to stroll through village to church where Monet was buried. Beautiful weather made it more special!!!

Fun tour with independent exploration

We loved our trip! Our guide was so kind and accommodating. We liked that the tour was a bit less structured. You WANT to spend your time freely walking through the Gardens and the house. Mat(?) gave us great insights on the ride over, set us free to do our thing, and then navigated us back. Highly recommend.

Great place, no tour

The only con is that this experience doesn't include any kind of tour of the house and garden. Once you're there, you're free to explore and once told to meet back up at a certain time. Pros: you get to skip the line which is huge as this had possibly the longest line I saw, even longer than the louvre. The transport is pretty handy if like me, you don't drive and the house and garden is beautiful

Not a tour, just a ride

The Gardens and home are beautiful! Our driver was 40 mins late. It shortened our time in Giverny. Then he dropped us off at a different location in Paris, due to traffic. It was ridiculous, considering all you are paying for with this tour, is a ride to and from the site. Bot at all professional or worth the money!

A lovely day trip

Such a beautiful garden and I loved learning more about Monet. It was wonderful to see the countryside of Normandy. A welcomed break from the busy city of Paris.

Best tour we did in Paris.

Wonderful tour and Isabella was fantastic. Just the right amount of information with the ability to spend time and discover on own.

An excellent small group tour to Monet's House and Garden at Giverny

The narrative as we were driving to Giverny by Michelle was excellent and the gardens themselves were beautiful but not at their best at this time of year. We had a minor issue because we were late for the return bus. We thought we had to be ready to return at 4:50pm rather than 4:15pm.

Isabel was our guide and she was absolutely amazing! Will go back to Giverny for sure. We had the best time! Thank you Isabel!

A great way to see Monet’s Gardens and House

Great trip! Office/meeting place conveniently located. Driver/guide was knowledgeable and courteous. Monet’s home and gardens were beautiful and crowded, but that was expected due to peak flowering season. Would definitely sign up for this small tour again.

Excellent tour!

Great tour guide, telling us Monet's story before we reached Giverny, and then, once fully prepared, allowing us to explore and experience the gardens and house at our own pace. Wondeful!

A wonderful few hours in Giverny. Fabrice was a very informative guide and he was a great driver. Highly recommend this tour if you want a 1/2 day option.

Beautiful and Relaxing

A breath of fresh air. Beautiful and relaxing. Free parking !! The gardens were lovely and the ho.e interesting. The gift shop was reasonable and several cafes along the street were welcome rest spots.

Efficient arrangements to connect with tour at operators HQ and leisurely drive to Giverny with small group. Great few hours wandering around the stunning house and garden.

Great Half-Day Trip

Overall the trip was great, the meeting point was easy to find and the driver/tour guide did a great job giving some history and instructions. The amount of time allotted was appropriate - I felt I had time to do everything I wanted without feeling rushed. The only con would be the van, it sat 3 in the very back so someone gets stuck in the middle seat and the row isn't very spacious.

Best afternoon experience

We loved this experience. We came on a quiet afternoon and there weren't many visitors. It was the highlight of my trip. Late summer, and a drought so the end of flowering, still beautiful. The ponds and waterlily wonderful. Springtime or with the roses out would be even better. But enjoyed our couple of hours jn paradise. His house was amazing also. With fabulous views. Great driver.

Great experience

The gardens were beautiful and looked very similar to Monet’s original paintings. The pond, with the water lilies, was vey picturesque and was a popular place for many to take pictures. The contrast of colors in various parts of the Gardens was well-done. It is important to allow enough time to visit Monet’s house as the line may be long (early August was very busy) and the line moves very slowly. Definitely worth doing both.

Isabelle was delightful. Gardens were amazing. So many flowers that we had never seen before. House was cool too.

The Highlight of France

This was the highlight of our trip to France. The gardens are much more beautiful than I imagined. This is a can’t miss trip

Would not recommend

Driver made quick stops and fast starts which made for an uncomfortable ride. One passenger vomited in the third row. He was not prepared for such an emergency. No paper towels etc..

Giverny--everything I hoped for, and more!

In all my years of living and traveling in France, somehow I never made it out to Giverny. So this was a "bucket list" tour for me. It did not disappoint at all--and the fact that I was the only person on that particular tour made the experience that much more special. My guide (Dinah?) was fabulous, and she allowed me to chatter with her in French the whole way there and back. Giverny itself was truly incredible--I wasn't prepared for the emotional response I had as I walked through the gardens and through Monet's house. This has been the highlight of my vacation thus far.

It's more of a ride than a tour

The agency and driver were very nice and professional. The name of this offering is "small-group tour" so we expected some type of tour at Giverny or to learn some information about Monet. It's actually just a ride from Paris to Giverny and back to Paris. While at the garden's we saw other guides giving actual tours of the grounds — this is not a guided tour.

Definitely a must do

Amazing trip, fantastic Monet gardens. I mixed up the meeting time for departure but all was worked out quickly. I think a better map snd layout of how much time to spend on each area would be helpful in planning time efficiently and not missing out on anything , time to explore the village and gallery etc.

I expected a guided tour,...

I expected a guided tour, with more information and history. Basically it was van ride to Monet’s garden/house. Dropped off and then picked up later to be driven home, You are on your own!

Buckets List tour which we enjoyed imensly

We have always looked forward to the trip to Monet gardens. Edda, our tour leader, gave us some very useful tour insights before we did the tour. The gardens and house were amazing and we enjoyed what was available in the gift shop,

Monet is a must!

A very enjoyable trip to a beautiful place - a bit crowded but well worth the effort. The gardens and house were exquisite but the highlight was the lily-pond! A stroll up the road to the church and Monet's tomb through the village of Giverney is also recommended.

Worth the trip

Guide/Driver was excellent. She was very knowledgeable. The small size of the tour was also a boon. Giverny was absolutely beautiful. Having seen Monet’s inspiration, it is now clear why his water lily paintings have such beauty. Well with the time and money.

Easy way to see Giverney

This tour was a pleasant way to travel to Giverney for a short but direct trip. The driver provided useful tips and some history. It's basically independent touring but very convenient.

Lovely Day to be in a garden

The beauty of the house and gardens. Our guide, Mary, was very friendly and knowledgeable. We really appreciated her willingness to accompany us to Monets grave and the little church. Lovely day. Glad to be in a small group—easier to manage.

Too many visitors. You couldn’t even move around in certain parts. Monet would be horrified!

The house and gardens are beautiful, but the crowds of people were a complete deterrent. Our guide was wonderful.

Monet’s garden and house are wonderful. If you like colorful gardens full of flowers and charming French country homes, you must visit.

Great day in Giverney!

We signed up for a semi private tour but ended up with just the two of is and our wonderful guide, Ricardo! He provided is information all the out regarding Monet and the areas we were driving through. Once at Giverney he walked us to the house and gardens providing information on what to look for etc then allowed us time to explore the home and town. Returning to Paris we started out off highway hearing more about Monet and seeing surrounding area- so wonderful!!

The garden is just beautiful! Want to come back in the fall and see what it has to offer. what a wonderful day trip from Paris.

A nice place to visit is you like Monet

The location was beautiful. We had a good time touring the site, although time was cut short by the crowds and the fact that we arrived late due to the difficulty the guide had leaving Paris and traveling to the destination.

Confusing Not set up for service

Something went wrong. An error was made in scheduling. We errantly scheduled the day we arrived. we had been awake 24 hour. Got a call from a woman who spoke English but was still unintelligible. called back later and the woman was more interested in chastising me for not saying hello vs bin jour and apparently based on that she needed to defend herself. I got one word in which was sorry and I hung up.

Nice tour.

Nice tour. Monet’s home was interesting and the gardens beautiful even in early April with minimal flowers. Small group of 7. Tour guide nice. We would have liked more history in general, and my only gripe is that the guide was hard to understand at times.

much more convenient way to see Monets Gardens

this was a great way to travel to Givernay. We have two small children and the tour arranged for a carseat. We didn't have to lug our stroller on public transportation. its a nice ride out to monets house/ town from Paris and you basically are self guided once you arrive. very convenient and I would rec it for anyone traveling to Givernay.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Thank you for your email.While we were delighted with our experience in Giverny.  We were horribly disappointed with the tour.  There was no tour - there was only a driver.  It was like taking a group Uber.  He told us nothing about the area, nothing about Claude Monet's home - NOTHING.He simply dropped us off and let us be.Our entire group discussed this following the leader's departure and all eight of us felt the same.Your advertisement that this was a "tour" was a hoax and you should be ashamed of yourself. This was a horribly disappointing tour. We will never recommend your services or ever take your services again!

Afternoon in Giverny

We so enjoyed our visit to Giverny with our guide Matthew and six other guests in the minivan. Matthew gave us a excellent introduction and then let us view the gardens and home at our own pace returning us to Paris right on time.

Monet comes alive!

I enjoyed hearing the details of Monet’s life from our driver Olivier and I especially loved the lily pads in the kitchen and dining room. Also the gift store was fantastic.

This was a total scam honestly

I would write a review but I never even went on the tour, was yelled at by the tour operator, and then was denied a refund so that I could book a different tour. 0/10 would not recommend ever booking through Viator.

Beautiful Monets Garden tour with a fabulous tour guide

Monets garden was as beautiful as expected. But Michelle’s commentary on the drive there really added to my understanding of his life and of the history of art, it was excellent! She also showed us additional things on the drive back and supplied more fascinating info on Paris in general.

Best experience ever!

We had Christophe as our guide and he was EXCELLENT! He picked us up on time and drove us out to Giverney. He even got us to Giverney early so we beat ALL the crowds! He must have taken 50 pictures of us and was so patient but yet knew how to move us along to get great pics. Giverney was lovely - even in September! Flowers were out and they were so high as they had all season to grow. If you ever studied Monet - this trip is for you - I absolutely loved it and Christophe made it the BOMB!
