We took the divar island with breakfast tour with Yuvraj. He shared the amazing history about Goa and divar island with us. All the points we saw were amazing, so was divar island itself. Will surely try more of make it happen tours.

Yet another amazing trail! The walk around Divar with Amreen and Yuvraj was wonderful. The stories and sights were mesmerising. The delicious Goan food cooked and served by Antonio and Arlinda at the end was delicious. Thank you for yet another informative tour. Gem of an experience in Goa

Had a wonderful time with Pawan on the Divar Island tour. He was highly knowledgeable and answered all our questions (about Divar Island and broader questions about Goa life and history) insightfully. We had a wonderful lunch as well :) would recommend as a must do in Goa.

A HATKE Goan experience

A different experience. Sejal is a young enthusiastic storyteller and surely loves Goa. She knows what she is talking about which is really refreshing. The island itself with its churches , chapels, temples and old Portuguese colourful homes is cute and quaint. Lunch at “aunty Agnes” was homemade , simple and quite a nice spread. Sejal even organised a singer who sang a couple of Konkani/ Goan songs to our delight. A cake was cut to celebrate my birthday ( and also my husband’s)! I would recommend this to anyone who wants a “hatke” experience .

wonderful time. great food, music, and people

I had an amazing time on the tour hearing about the history of the island and the people who live there. Walking was very light as it was mostly a driving tour with stops in different places. The storyteller, Sejal, was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and kept great conversation. The food on the tour was delicious as was the music that accompanied it. It was also a pleasure meeting the people who shared their house for that. Highly recommend if you want to see a very unique and peaceful part of Goa.

Explored the unexplored place

Make it happen team helped us have a good ending to our Goa trip. Our guide Mr. Pavan was good at what he does and knew how to take us through the island with his commendable knowledge on Architecture and history of Goa. At the end of the tour we had an amazing time at a local Goan home with local music and some good food. That was a truly good experience which we will cherish in this trip.

Chronicles & Echoes of Divar Island

The visit to Divar island conducted by Aparna was indeed very interesting. Aparna brought the place alive and all of us, including my 10 year old son, loved the experience. The visit starts with the ferry ride, which is a unique experience in itself. The beautiful churches, houses, archaeological sites and lastly, the musical performance and the high tea at the hotel are overall an unbeatable package. Aparna knows the place like the back of her hand and takes great efforts to ensure that the visitors go back with an imprint of the unique island in their minds. Day well spent !

We took the Divar island tour with lunch and it was absolutely spot-on in terms on activity levels, time spent and a mix of things catering to our very mixed age group (ranging from 2.5 to 70). Aparna, our storyteller took no time in becoming a crowd favourite with her interesting anecdotes and tidbits of info that kept everyone actively engaged. Remarkably mature for her age, we truly adored how she got along with our family, taking us for lil trips on her bike and overall just being a very warm & friendly host. We truly enjoyed our day on Divar with Aparna & would recommend it highly!

Aparna from Make it Happen was the walk leader at the beginning. Reason I say ‘in the beginning’ is because eventually she returned into a friend. This was an experience of a lifetime. The Island of Diwar will not be some strange Island for us. It will be a beautiful memory for us. One we would love to revisit. All thanks to Aparna and Make it Happen !

Secrets of Goa!

Divar island heritage walk , during 3 day goa trip to celebrate New year !!!!! I guess after 3 decades of married life , one learns the secret of happy married life.. follow the Boss ! The lady made bookings and i tried my best to look excited! Wake up at 6 .get ready.... we reach one obscure Ferry Point by 8 am ...a young college girl assigned "MAKE IT HAPPEN" travel portal.. waiting on her scooty ! The girl seemed very charming and engaging.. looking very excited about what "future" holds for us... Revealing NO SECRETS and insisting that one has to wait for the right moment ! And it once again came true that why my wife IS ALAWYS RIGHT ! I Cannot summarise the experience in words , but to give you a jist , the central theme in my mind was to get back to my golfing gang , encounter the "Show off" guys who have bought fancy houses in Goa and keep sharing pictures of sunrise, sunset, seas etc , and ask them if they know about the ONE BEST reason to visit Goa. Summary : I felt happy as a businessman that my expenses for this last minute Goa trip to please my daughter who is working hard for her exams , where I had to buy all tickets and hotel rooms at phenomenal prices , stand justified by the experience of this morning heritage walk with the girl , who made no hesitation in pouring out this experience as one of the best and most preserved "wine" !

Fantabulous experience.

Hi ,,, the trip was made with Make it happen ,,, and our storyteller , was this young vibrant girl who had the art of enticing with her story telling skills . The place came to life and if I had a wish to fulfill , it would be to reside there. A place seen from her words , captivating which ended with Mr Fernandes singing for us . Please do plan something with them ,,, there are great many tours available ,, it Goa from a different perspective.

Amazing..good story telling

Amazing, out of the world experience. Started from ferry point, had a good breakfast there, and a live music performance, as a surprise. Aparna was an amazing storyteller. She took us to the church , Saptakoteshwar temple ruins and stepwell.Also saw a quite a few birds there. Very different from the beaches

Divar - Made to Happen

Took the chance of booking the early morning slot and got 2 rewards in return; turned out to be a private tour for our family (at the cost of a standard) and a wonderful storyteller in Aparna. Her keen interest in Bird watching and having grown up in Divar gave us a lot more from the 4 hours that we spent as a Group. The 5 day Goa break has turned out to be a “Make it Happen” vacation for our family. Wishing the MIH team and Aparna our very best to continue with the great work they are doing. Cheers

Immersive exciting experience of Goa through a knowledgeable and passionate storyteller!

Our story teller Aparna was phenomenal! She was so passionate and energetic throughout that all three generations of this group of 9 throughly enjoyed the immersive experience of Goa and its people and stories. She really knows stories ! Hope to have another experience of Goa with Aparna next time we are here!

Serene island

This serene island was the highlight of our trip. Aparna was our guide and she explained every little detail with such enthusiasm . Make it happen also planned a musical performance for us which we loved. Would recommend 10/10.

Team Gaurish in Divar!

Gaurish was the best tour guide ever! He had us dancing, riding on his scooter, learning better than we would in school and laughing through the whole trip. The adults were worried we wouldn’t be too interested in the tour but Gaurish had us on our toes!

Divar Island is one of those unheralded gems. A splendid, quiet and unspoilt destination. Aparna from Make it Happen made it perfect experience. She is full of enthusiasm and a store house of local knowledge.

Made our trip to GOA very memorable

It was a pleasant evening, and we were returning from South Goa. Then, these beautiful moments happened when guide Aparna picked us up on the ferry and guided us through the entire Divar island, where time hadn't moved much with old-school rules. She went through the deep routes of history and explained why this island has its own rules and how the people of Divar Island showed the real meaning of democracy. The best part is that Aparna tried to understand her guests and communicated based on their personalities. The live music at the end took the whole destination experience to the next level. Thank you very much for all these within the budget. Overall, it was a heartfelt experience.

It was a relaxing and fun experience, got to see some of bird species on the island and also some beautiful churches

Divar Island

Divar Island One of the best off beat location in Goa . Had a lovely experience . Our tour guide Aparna is amazing story teller with vast knowledge about Divar . She kept us engrossed throughout the tour by her stories . The way of narrating things was too good . Very Polite by nature . One can find eternal peace at Shiva temple . In the end Aparna took us for tea . It was hosted by local goan family . We had great time conversing with them . Surprise of the evening was Goan music . Truely Divar is something we would like to visit again and stay . Thankyou Aparna and Make it Happen .

Time Travel at Divar Island

The Divar Island Heritage and Lifestyle Expedition takes you back in time and makes one feel its stillness which was made even more special by our eloquent storyteller Aparna whose range of knowledge varies from the socio-economic conditions of the island to the architectural style of the important monuments and houses and much more... This was made further interesting by the addition of local stories, historical & ecological fun facts, and Bollywood titbits.... And in the end a musical performance by Evane Picardo was the icing on the cake. Highly recommended for those looking to go on an offbeat trip away from the hustle bustle of the city.

Amazing, incredible and engaging!

We had a great experience on Divar Island and thanks to Aparna from Make it Happen. She was very friendly and very articulate which helped keep my whole family (parents and kids as well) engaged throughout the trip. Experiences like this help citizens of India relate and resonate with Indian past and culture. The island itself was a very beautiful one and the stories and narration of the history by Aparna made the whole experience even more intriguing. The resort at the end of the trip was so beuatiful and serene and the food was also great. It's a 5/5 for Make it Happen and Aparna as well. Will plan to tour with them again next time we are in Goa.

Maybe Goa's best kept secret!

It's not everyday you get to experience the history and culture of a place and are truly captivated! The trip was memorable in every way. From taking our scooters over the ferry, to discovering the flora and fauna, to finding sites from history - old and modern, and finishing with a lovely performance by a super talented artist! Special mention, the food at the end of the trip was cherry on the top.

Memories for a lifetime

This is a story of how a group of strangers became one family after spending a beautiful evening in Divar Islands together. It all started with the tales that our best storyteller, Amreen Shaikh told us one by one. Just getting happily lost listening to all her words made us experience a different world all together. At every pit stop in the island, the connect and respect to the place just kept growing. The way the entire trail was curated by Amreen and Make it happen was just so interesting and not overwhelming. It had a perfect balance. It never felt like a narration, it was like a friend taking us out for a walk. After we all returned back to the starting point, that's when we all got emotional and didn't want bid farewell. That sums up how this walk had spread so much love. Thank you Amreen and Make it happen for creating these memories that I could cherish for a lifetime.

Take this tour to see the "other side of Goa"!

The idea of touring the eco-senstitive Divar island of Goa was a facinating one for me & my wife. We took this tour in late Oct-23. It was my first drive-through guided-tour, and the experience was a good one. Amreen, our host / story-teller, was very good with her knowledge on history, mythology and the topography w.r.t. this tour. She also put in a lot of effort in ensuring that our group bonds well & stay entertained, so full marks!!

Awesome experience!!

We had a really great time learning about the history and culture of Goa. Aparna (our story teller) didn't rush us even when we were a little over the time. She was well informed and very humble. The place itself is beautiful with an aura completely different to Goa. We heard so many Goan traditions and folklore stories which I am sure can't be captured in the books. These made the experience more real. This will surely be one of our most memorable experience. Thank you again!!

Deevar with Amreen ( she made it happen )

We went to the Devar island and it was the best 3.5 hours I have spent in Goa. We got to know so much about the island and Goa and people around The story teller "AMREEN" was such a lovely person. She made the experience even better by the stories and folk lores around the city and locals. She has great insights to the history and brings the happy new stories to the table. Way to go Amreen.
