My wife and I took the morning food tour with Ally. It was flat out outstanding. We had just come from Paris where we had taken the TA #1 food tour there. The Paris food tour was good, The Nice food tour was great. Everything about this tour was terrific. I will do it again the next time I'm in Nice! Hal Vick

From beginning to end this tour was informative, fun and really went above and beyond anything we expected. Allie was very knowledgeable and had our attention during the entire tour. Her passion for Nice, French wines, cheese and food was evident in her enthusiasm to share her knowledge with us. She is one heck of a tour guide!! The food was incredibly delicious.

Thank you for a very useful experience. Our guide Ana delivered a very personal experience to lovely Nice despite having a group of 13.. Her knowledge about local history in food and drinks was something we could not learned ourselves. Great locations with food we never would have ordered ourselves.

Not happy

No one turned up and no cancellation notification sent . We were booked at 10am and no tour guide arrived. We had to rebook for the evening which changed all our plans .

Wonderful foodie tour

Our guide was Ally and she was wonderful....Full of passion for her adopted home of Nice and she is very well known among the locals so she was able to take us to markets and places away from the main tourists allowing us to taste top local produce. This was our first food tour and we will definitely look to do more in other places we visit especially of they are as good as this one.

A great way to see Noce Old Town

We had a fantastic tour today with Ally. Who owns a Taste of Nice. She explained all of the history of the old town very well and the food and drink we had was excellent. Plenty of Rose wine, a great lunch and ending with a Gelato. A very well organized tour with great attention to detail. Martyn & Jane

Highly recommend this tour, excellent food and great fun

Ali excellent guide. We loved it from the expresso to start with and ending with the gelatos. Ali was welcomed everywhere we went and as such the vibe was fun. The food was excellent and the way Ali conducted the tour went really well. Oysters at the fish market and olive oil tasting just to mention a few.

Fabulous food and fascinating history

We had a fabulous tour with Ally. Gorgeous food, wine and even Pastis - all of the culinary gems of Nice, served to us by traditional artisan families. I have been coming to Nice since the 90’s but I learnt more about Nice cuisine and it’s fascinating history on the tour than in all those years. It was fun, delicious and Ally accommodated my allergies and vegetarianism at very short notice. Ally is a wonderful guide and 5 stars are not enough. Thank you so much for a memorable day.

Would give it higher than 5 if I could!!

Highly recommend this tour. We had such a good time, we meet some great people and most importantly ate some incredible food (not forgetting the flowing wine either) Ginelle and Ally were great guides, really friendly and knowledgeable. We had a 6pm flight home, we originally booked it just for something to do, but it turned out to be the highlight of our trip. Don't be put off by the price, it's well and truly worth it!

This was a wonderful food tour. The guide was outstanding. She was knowledgeable, friendly and fun. The food and drinks provided were varied and in abundance. We received good information on the old town throughout the walking tour and met lovely people attending the tour with us. This was a great way to experience Nice.

A fantastic, “must do” Nice tour

I have been on a number of food tours and this one was fantastic. Ally was our guide. She is incredible. She is so knowledgeable and passionate about Nice, wine (she is a Sommelier) food and people. She knows most of the small shop owners who sell the best products and some of the shops/restaurants we visited have been in business for generations. We had amazing wines and appetizers and then literally a full meal and dessert. Stories and background regarding everything. History of Nice when we walked Incredible. We learned so much and spent a lovely evening with strangers who felt like friends at the end.

Worth the price

Very well organized tour. We'll thought out. The food was excellent and seeing the markets and streets that make Nice unique was wonderful.

Excellent experience

This tour was SUPERB! Our guide, Ally, was wonderful, knowledgable and friendly. Every food stop we made was delicious. We had a terrific lunch, desserts, appetizers, aperitifs, excellent rose, good camaraderie, the list goes on. Your money goes a long way - really worth the price and experience. My husband and I are SO happy with our experience on this tour - definitely our highlight in Nice.

Top draw local food tour.

The simple food, the local sellers, no pomp or airs and graces. Very down to earth with Ally, our guide, taking us on a lovely tour of Old Nice food markets and shops. The variety was excellent and the historic tales linked to the buildings and locations set a superb scene. Ally was well known and it was like walking through the market with a local who knew everything and everybody. Although a Canadian by birth, you can tell she is a Niçoise through and through! Definitely book Ally, a superb tour, and worth doing on your first day there to get your bearings and know where to go.

Amazing Experience!

The tour guide was so amazing, kind, and knowledgeable. She was able to give us recommendations for other places to eat and shop during our stay. We tried so many wonderful foods and drinks on this tour. SO worth it!

Sampled a lot of food at various shops, Liberation market and sit down restaurant. Started with café and treat. Rosé at various times. Some surprising samples. Loads of fun.

Best food tour ever

We’ve been on many food tours and Ally is the best guide we’ve ever had. She is charming, knows a lot about food and wine, and has a passion and enthusiasm for the food and people of Nice. We tasted food in the Old Town, a large daily market (fruits, vegetables, meat, fish and more) where locals shop and had a great restaurant lunch with 5 or 6 dishes. All of the tastings were delicious with more variety and food than usual. The highlights were the socca, fresh oysters and the pasta dish at the restaurant. Don’t be put off by the price— this tour is great value for the money!!

6 Americans tour the Nice food scene

Ally was so knowledgeable and went out of her way to take care of the 6 of us. She has a vast and detailed knowledge of Nice and the food and wine. Her personality is warm and lively which only added to the fun we had. It’s definitely worth your while!

The best of Nice!

There are many wonderful things to do in Nice, but this is the best! Our guide was charming, informative, and flexible about accommodating our dietary restrictions. We sampled dozens of foods and many different drinks. In fact, we consumed a ridiculous amount of food! I highly recommend this tour!

Ally, our guide, was so incredibly knowledgeable of the history of Nice. She is also very popular with all the food purveyors on the tour. This was an absolutely wonderful day. So much to see and learn. Come hungry!

Best food/wine tour in Nice!

We toured with Ally is May and are still talking about how great of a tour we had. Ally is beyond knowledgeable about the secret spots off the beaten track of old town Nice, and the history of the city. Ally takes you on the tram out of the down town core to give you a unique experience at the more "locals market", where she shops for your lunch and you eat right in the market with the locals. This is truly a unique experience, and we left very full of amazing food and wine. We would highly recommend to anyone visiting Nice, it is worth every dollar.

So much fun and learned A LOT too!

Met up with our guide at a restaurant in Old Town… Vieux-Nice. This is the place you want to spend your time wandering around. So much to see, drink and eat. Ally was a great guide and host for our group of eight. Ally is from Canada originally and speaks great English. We started off with some local favorite dishes right there at the first restaurant. This gave us a chance to meet the other guests and then have a coffee for energy. We walked to numerous places including a wine shop and an olive oil and truffle shop(don’t miss the hazelnut/chocolate spread). We took a tram to another part of Nice and visited a fish, vegetable and meat market and of course ate samples all along the way. Oh, and we tried the only true Nice fast food, socca. We finished with amazing gelato. Great tour! I would do it again next time in Nice.Allie was a great guide!!!!!

Best food and wine tour of Old Nice!!!

Our guide Ally was very approachable and friendly. She made us very comfortable. As the tour progressed she was informative and very knowledgeable about the food, wine and all the historical landmarks that we visited. Everything she pointed out was very appropriate to the tour, and she even added extra information you would not find in a history book. I loved her style and she exceeded our expectations!!! We would highly recommend her and this tour. Best tour we had!!!

Great Food & Experience

Our guide, Ally, was fabulous! She took us to wonderful out of the way vendors that as tourists we would not have found. She knows and shared local history which made the tour all that more interesting and personal. We highly recommend this experience!

Highly Recommended- Great Experience

Great tour and Ally was the perfect host/guide. Hit the off-tourist parts of Nice with great food and wine. Ally knows all the locals and creates a unique experience. We have done a number of food tours in various cities and this one is at/near the top of the list.

Fun, food, fantastic!

This tour should be top of your list. It’s wonderful. Combination of all that’s good on life - food, win, great sights, interesting info, and just all round fun. We were a party of 6 that joined 5 others, so nice size group. Ally was amazing with her infectious enthusiasm and knowledge. I did this tour 5 years ago and it was great. It is even better now. Ally has added new stops and stuff. In particular I loved the olive oil stop, and the oysters! It was all great. Lasted nearly 5 hours. What a way to spend a day. Every be had such fun.

One of the best tours we have ever been on

Fabulous tour with Ally and a great group of other tourists. Ally was so informative about all the food and especially the wine. It was relaxed, fun and a fantastic way to spend half a day. Although we have been to Nice 3 times we leaent things we hadn't any idea about previously. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend a few hours in Allys company.
