Naxos Highlights Bus Tour with Free Time for Lunch at Apeiranthos

Great day

I had a wonderful day, lots of lovely villages to see, didn’t feel rushed at all even though some you only get 45 mins to look around. Very good value for money, our guide Thanos was lovely, good knowledge and felt like he enjoyed his job, Bill our driver was amazing, I would not like to drive around these roads in a car let alone a bus.

Naxos Island tour

This tour was excellent and covered much of Naxos. Thanos our guide was an excellent leader providing fabulous history of the various sights, the towns and life on Naxos. Bill the driver did an awesome job getting the bus around the narrow mountainous roads. Highly recommend

A must do experience!

A great trip and guide. It showed us all around the island to places we probably would have never seen. Being able to swim at Appolon was incredible. The pottery workshop was my personal highlight. Thank you!

Brilliant skilled driver, lovely tour guide, well organised and perfect timings in all spots. Really felt like I got the most out of Naxos doing this trip and met three other lovely solo female travellers and had a wonderful day. Full day Naxos bus tour

An enlightening Tour of Naxos!

A full day tour of the Naxos island with several stops. Very young knowledgeable and entertaining guide that shared the island's history, local customs, favorite spots. First stop was at the Archaeological sight of Yiroules Sangri. Stop # 2 small village that displayed the olive oil making of ancient times as well a cute pottery making place. 3rd stop was lunch in very quaint village with great local food. 4th stop an abbandoned ancient sculpture that just amazes in size and weight that was to be transferred to another location. Stop #5, another small coastal village for a snack and a coffee.

Wonderful bus tour with Thanos and George

We had our tour with Thanos as our tour guide, he’s so knowledgeable about Naxos and Greek mythology. He showed so much pride in his people and island, as he should. It was a pleasant experience and allowed us to see the island in a day and learn about their culture. Thank you so much for your kindness, we really enjoyed everything about our experience with you, and George.

Highly recommend - a great way to see more of Naxos

Everything about the day was tremendous; fabulous value for money, well paced and just right. Our guide Alex was very knowledgeable, friendly amd enthusiastic. Our driver. Spiros, was fantastically skilled at negotiating all the tight twists and turns along the way.

Great Sightseeing

Our tour guide was really fabulous. He was local and really knew the island as well as the history. He was very personable and spoke great English. The stops were also nice - i dont think my husband and i would Have seen all of this without the tour. I will Warn you though that there isn’t much time allowed at stops. Our bus driver “Bill” was pretty rude and condescending to anyone who got there after the time that was told. Definitely be on time or you’ll get lecture. Other than that, it was wonderful! Lots of beauty and amazing views.

Great educational tour with just right amount of free time ,knowledgeable guide,professional driver,def recommend,marble village was fantastic,walk a bit further and on the right in a small garden there is amazing restaurant with the best food I had in Greece,

Naxos full day tour

Fantastic day! Can’t be better! Very smooth and well planned day trip! There was no way for me to see this much on my own in one day. I saved a lot of time! Highly recommend especially if you stay short in Naxos!

Efficient value oriented island tour

Efficient way to see a number of island sites. The group is pretty large but the guide does a good job of keeping things organized. Villages visited were very nice. Stay was a bit long at the beach if you aren’t swimming.

Funny and relaxing trip

Very nice trip we enjoyed it a lot and the food in apeiranthos village was nice also it worth 100% the guides were telling us a lot about ancients in naxos which we found very interesting.

Amazing Tour

A Must-Do on Naxos

This was one of the best tours I've ever taken. I'm not much of a "group tour" person as I am usually a solo traveler doing off-the-beaten-path activities alone, but I wanted to see Naxos without driving myself around. Thanos our guide was incredibly sweet and Bill was a great bus driver. You'll see beautiful mountains, quaint villages, and even time at a beach to do whatever you want (and swim!). This is a cheap tour for everything you get and for the full day. Highly recommend it!

The bus tour was one of the highlights of our stay in Naxos. Such rich history and our tour guide was LOVELY. Had a great recommendation for handmade, authentic jewelry at one of our stops. I was desperately searching for authentic jewelry on our island hopping trip and this spot was exactly what I was hoping for. The food was AMAZING with great views. 10/10 recommend this bus tour.

The best of Naxos in one day!

The tour guide was amazing and we saw the entire island for only €30! I would recommend this tour to all ages and families.

Great city tour!

Great experience on this city tour! Our guide was funny and knowledgeable. We were a small group of 11 or 12 which was great. I was traveling alone and was able to make friends on the tour which I kept in contact with after. We ate at a great restaurant that our guide recommended for lunch. Would highly recommend!

So much fun!

Thanos was a great guide! So fun and friendly. The bus driver did an awesome job navigating those roads! The villages are adorable and the food so delicious. Definitely take this tour.

Great tour around the north of the island.

Great tour around the north of the island. Beautiful scenery everywhere you look and enough stops to keep it interesting without rushing too much. Temlple of Demeter, lovely little village, stunning scenery. Stop in Halki long enough for a wander and a drink. Stunning scenery between Halki and Apiranthos as you drive through Filoti. 2 hours for lunch and exploring the marble village of Apiranthos.. Our guide Angeliki was very knowledgeable. Our driver was amazing, I am an anxious passenger but felt in very safe hands on the very windy mountain roads. Good value for money considering the length of the trip.

BRING SWIM SUIT!!

The views were nice, and my favourite spot was the olive press, and the beach area, but I didn’t get to swim at the beach because I did not bring my swimsuit. The description does mention that you have a chance to swim a little bit, but I would definitely recommend it because it gets so hot in the middle of the day, and I was dying to swim.

Best Decision Ever!

On arrival in Naxos, I decided the best way to get 'a feel' for the place was to take a guided bus tour around the island. Best decision ever! Angelika (guide) was easy to understand and informative but did not overwhelm with info. She was happy to answer any questions that we had. She kept the info coming all through the trip. I learned lots and was blown away by how mountainous Naxos is. Our driver was superb. That road is not for the faint hearted!

A great way to get...

A great way to get orientated to the area, to see some of the main sights and the landscape of Naxos. The driver demonstrated his skill at handling our coach on the very narrow and windy roads.

Good value but disappointing

This is a good value island tour which is why it sells out and fills a full sized coach. The highlight of the tour is the Temple of Demeter. Ample time there to explore and take photos. Well worth the small entrance fee. Like others have said before, you do feel a bit rushed at some destinations. The pottery was a disappointment, we were not warm heartedly welcomed, he was selling tourist tat, while having some lovely ceramics on display. Too many people crowded in there and the olive press. By the time we got to Chalki, most of us went for a much needed coffee and snack opting out of the distillery visit. More time there would have been appreciated. The lunch stop at Apeiranthos was just about enough time to have lunch. There is not much more to do or see there. Apollonas was lovely. This would have been the perfect lunch spot, dining on the small bay, people watching. This is a tour more suited to small groups in a smaller bus. The roads are windy and narrow and it was difficult to manoeuvre a large coach at times particularly in Apollonas. As a taster of Naxos it is good value. I would pay more for a smaller group, a guided tour of the Temple of Demeter, a good refreshment break in Chalki, a long lunch in Apollonas and not to waste time at the oil press or pottery. The scenery is stunning and a few more stops to admire the views would be perfect. The guide was good. The air con was not. The driver, skilled. The island is beautiful.

Naxos overview

What a great way to view the island and experience some of the highlights. Lovely driver and tour guide which is important given the challenging drive. The scenery is spectacular and each village has its own nuance. The pottery display at Damalas was so interesting… it weaves history and skill into one. Loved the wine bottles and little whistles. The old olive press is well preserved too - it’s a pity one couldn’t do a tasting with it. If you’re not very mobile this may be a challenge there are stairs up and down to a number of the sights. A great way to spend the day.

Very enjoyable bus tour on Naxos

We really enjoyed the tour. We went on the full day tour which was fairly priced. Very scenic mountainous country that is best seen from the bus rather self driving. Our guide was a very well spoken, knowledgeable young lady informing us along our journey. The trip felt safe at all times because the bus driver drove perfectly to the road conditions. Our only criticism is that the bus did not stop at a lookout between Halki and Panagia Drosiani. We would have loved to soak up the magnificent views and take some photos.

Amazing Day in Naxos

This guided full Day excursion was the highlight of the visit to Naxos island. I’ve really enjoyed the guide giving us all the knowledge and interesting insights.

Amazing, Comfortable, and Convenient

This was an amazing trip! The tour guide is very good, and it takes you to every spot you want to visit on Naxos in a single day. Easy sightseeing without the hassle. This really made my trip to Greece! If you really want to feel like you caught a glimpse of true Greece with all of its wonderful culture, history and archeology, take this tour! Also, the bus ride alone gives you spectacular views of the island, so keep your camera handy while riding! Or just sit back and enjoy the views yourself, and soak it all up!

The whole Tour was fantastic!!

Alex our tour guide was the most informative guide we've experienced,her knowledge of Greek mythology was impressive and her spoken English was clear and perfect! We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and totally recommend it to anyone visiting Naxos! Our driver Dimitris was excellent. We mostly enjoyed Apollonas were you could go swimming in the crystal waters and sit and enjoy a Mythos in one of the cute tavernas. Thanks again.

Beautiful Naxos great bus tour

This was a very good tour. We saw all the main sights and had time for an excellent taverna lunch. Later on in the afternoon we were brought to the stunning Apollon beach where there was plenty of time for a swim. The driver Basilis was excellent on really scary roads! Guide Angelika gave us just the right amount of information on history culture etc. It was a very full day and excellent value at 30 euro. I recommended it to several people who had heard about how beautiful Naxos is and this is a great way to see this island.

A beautiful island

I really enjoyed the one-day trip round Naxos that I went on yesterday. I saw a lot of the island, both ancient and contemporary. Our guide Thassos was very informative and amusing, and our driver Bill was very skilful on the hair-pin bends and narrow streets. It is a beautiful island!

Absolutely fabulous bus trip. Alex and Vasius were fantastic.

The whole day was perfect. The views and villages we visited staggering beautiful. Alex our guide on the day was amazing… her knowledge about the Island and total professionalism was excellent. An absolute five star service. Together with Vasilius the driver they made a great team. His driving skills were amazing and we felt totally safe when he was navigating the mountain roads. A fabulous trip.

What a wonderful way to see Naxos! Great guide and driver, wonderful route with absolutely stunning vistas, plenty of time to see each site, and relaxed time for lunch and for a coffee or a swim (both at gorgeous locations). Highly recommended.

Our Guide, Alex, was amazing!!. She was so knowledgeable, articulate & spoke perfect English, especially for such a young woman. she explained all the ruins & sights & related them to Greek mythology that made facts fun & interesting. We loved the hand made pottery stop & the olive press stop. The distillery was a fun stop too. Naxos is such a beautiful & the laid back vibe is perfect for vacationers like us in our sixties. Alex was the perfect guide to show us how the people are open & gracious. The Bus driver, Vasilis, was so amazing & competent also on thos enarrow & bust streets. We highly recommend this tour!

A great way to see Naxos

The driver Vasselli was superb and his skills were tested during the mountain climbs. Our guide was knowledgeable and kept up a running commentary. Dis not let me sleep during this 8 hour trip.
