Naxos amazing

Dimitri was very friendly and knowledgeable He gave us a great overview of the island and all the main villages. Only think is to explain clearly if you have lunch arranged and have dietary or monetary limitations.

Great Tour!!!

Vera was an amazing guide. She was friendly, very knowledgeable, gracious, and full of great tidbits about Greece. Took us from Oia to the southern part of the island and shared both current events and the history of Greece with us as we drove. She was an amazing driver. We made many stops including the lighthouse, underground caves and the red sand beach. When we told her we wanted to stop at a beach so our adult children could swim, she suggested the black sand beach where we stopped and had a delicious lunch. Highly recommend. Great tour and great guide!!!

A great overview of Naxos - history and culture

We booked this as a family to get an overview of the island, it's culture and it's history. Dimitri was a a very informative and enthusiastic guide and the trip was very thorough. We saw the Temple of Demeter, a pottery workshop (very interesting), a distillery in the old capital of Naxos, an olive press, the marble mountain, the oldest Byzantine chapel in the Balkans and the Kouros statue. Dimitri (and Gregorios) were full of tips and stories. It was thoroughly enjoyable and we were totally exhausted at the end!

Naxos villages in one trip

Wonderful to see the villages in central Naxos excellent itinerary and great not to have to self drive.

The facts

The driver (never introduced himself so I don’t know name) and Naxos Luxury transport were nice and accommodating but this is not really a “tour” in my opinion. It is more of a ride to places, with very little information given, that you can easily get to on your own. For less than 1/10th of the price you can rent a car and drive to the same places and more - on your own schedule. The driver can not guide you into the historical places, he simply gives you a ride there. Also, the places on the proposed itinerary could be closed, read the other reviews. I feel it is false advertising as you sign up to do something but then are told you can’t the day of. Not to mention that they must be commissioned to take you to tourist traps like the pottery maker, olive oil press, and distillery in hopes that you will spend money there. Big disappointment. Do yourself a favor and rent a car, enjoy the easy and beautiful drive, seeing things in comfort from the front seat on your own schedule. You will get to see and do more for a fraction of the price.

Great tour with Vangelis

Vangelis was a great tour guide. He took us to all of the important things that you should see in Naxos and provided us with lots of great information and great photo opportunities and went out of his way to ensure that the experience was what we wanted. Highly recommend Naxos Luxury Tours which we found on Viator. The restaurant he recommended was fabulous.

A wonderful way to see Naxos

Michail A was our driver and guide. He showed up exactly on time in a beautiful Mercedes. We discussed the goal of our trip. He arranged the trip to meet our needs and requests. He provide good information and history of Naxos. He skillfully drove through the mountain roads during a thunderstorm.

Great tour of Santorini with Demetris!

Fabulous tour of the island with Demetris! He was very knowledgeable and friendly, and tailored the tour to exactly what we wanted to see. Definitely recommend!

Disappointing

2 out of the 6 attractions on the tour were not available to us. Viator is a 3rd party site that doesn't give you all of the details and we were basically told "too bad".

Excellent tour

Thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Naxos! Our ferry was delayed, so we started late and many sites were closed. We felt like we were still able to see a good chunk of Naxos and learned a lot from our amazing guide!

Naxos Island Tour

Vangelis went over and above all expectations! He was very knowledgable about the area and showed us a very good time. This was a special trip for my family, going back to the birthplace of their grandfather/father. With the help of Vangelis, it was the tour of a lifetime!

A must do while in Naxos

Great tour that really gave us a feel for the island! We saw, experienced, and tasted so many things. It was truly wonderful. A definite must do if you don’t want to rent a car and have a limited amount of time on the island. We loved our tour guide. He was friendly and knowledgeable!

Mountains of Naxos

Enjoyed our tour of Naxos with Vangelis, who had lived on the island all his life. Enjoyed the beautiful scenery, the small villages in the mountains and our lunch in the lovely village of Apirathos.

Naxos with Konstantinos

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable. He took us to the highlights of the Island and provided history and folklore along the way! He also took us to out of the way hidden gems to enhance our experience! Very enjoyable Tour! A Must Do on Naxos!

A great way to see the beautiful island of Naxos

This was a great day from beginning to end. Terrific driver and a very comfortable car. I could make special requests for the itinerary and Konstantinos would just make it work. He also had plenty of information to share about everywhere we went :) Beautiful island, stunning photo opportunities. Lovely stop for lunch and even time for some shopping too. Absolutely recommend this tour and this tour guide. Great way to see Naxos.

Naxos village tour

This was a great way to tour without the stress of driving or the crowds of the bus. Costos the artist was a thoughtful and knowledgeable tour guide. He took many photos for us which will make nice memories.

A most memorable and amazing experience

This was a most memorable and amazing experience and highly recommend it. We had been told to rent a car in order to see the full beauty of Naxos island. Instead, we opted for this private guided tour and it was by far the better option. You can’t get the experience and knowledge that a guide offers if you rent your own car. And our guide, Costas, was truly a wealth of knowledge and an excellent tour guide. He brought us to beautiful towns, educated us on the island’s natural resources, exposed us to many cultural artifacts and shared his genuine love for Naxos. We left the tour loving Naxos and anxious to return.

This private tour is worth every cent extra you spend to have it as private. Especially in the hands of our amazing tour guide Costas. This walking and talking Google of fascinating historical and local information enriched our experience tremendously. It also helped that, on a more personal note, we enjoyed all six hours of his company immensely. Last but not least, back on the private note, it made such a big difference to march right through to exhibits, rather than be forced to wait for the typical busloads of people to pass. Highly recommend this tour!

A great day out seeing all the highlights of the island

We had a fabulous day on our tour, seeing so much of the island in one day. Our guide was excellent - very knowledgeable, funny, friendly, and he made sure we saw everything we wanted to see, as well as recommending great places to eat and things to try. All of the different places were great and there was a good balance of history, culture and stunning sights. The transport was really comfortable, driven well, and plenty cold water to keep us refreshed between stops. We would highly recommend for anyone wanting to see a lot in one day. Thank you!

Fantastic Naxos Tour

Our guide, Vas, was exceptional. He was attentive to our needs and requests. He was kind and engaging. He assisted with the needs of our family member with Celiac Disease and one who is developmentally delayed. He gave us options along the way to customise the tour to our desires. It was a full day of pleasant educational experiences. Not rushed but yet efficient. His English was excellent. Would definitely use again!

Wir hätten gerne einen Teil der Kosten erstattet

leider sind wir enttäuscht von dem Ausflug. Uns wurde nicht die Kouros Statur gezeigt, der Reiseleiter erzählte uns nichts über Naxos (vermutlich weil die Englisch-Kenntnisse unzureichend waren) und Wasser bekamen wir trotz Hitze und Bestandteil des Angebots leider auch keins. Neben den knapp 400 Euro für die Tour, kamen also diverse Eintrittsgelder an den unterschiedlichen Stops und Erfrischungsgetränken und Verpflegung dazu. Außerdem waren die Stops so gewählt, dass man dort auch noch die passenden Souveniers kaufen konnte. Wir hatten uns für die Tour mit einem Guide entschieden um mehr über die Insel zu erfahren und weil wir auf Milos damit sehr gute Erfahrungen gemacht haben. Diese Tour erinnerte jedoch an eine Verkaufstour. Sehr schade….

Överreklamerad ö som förlorat sin charm

Naxos har blivit helt berusat av turister. Dyrt, överpriser, tråkigt utbud, mer av nöjespark och det genuint grekiska är som bortblåst. Välj en annan ö, t ex Paros.
