Was a good small group of 8 ppl van, we only end up 7 of us. That is reason i book this trip, snall group & Mark very good in telling us detail of place & everywhere we past by🤗& fun. He is full of knowledge 😲🙂 Our 🤩😘highlight was waterfall & beautiful forest. Get ready for few big step down & up again from the waterfall. Bring your heart rate up up u go 😁& fun🤪. Our dislike was is long long drive in van, like almore half day in van to place. No good for me i have badly travel sickness. Coming back down was very rough road😬😰& fast. For lunch the place is very beautiful area, lots of pity colourful birds around to take photo but the food was just over price 😱not worrh it. Main meal is size of starter🫣. For me this trip is more like sightseeing & long van ride. My experience with my kids. Happy travelling everyones🤗

Oh wow! Astonishing road trip!

This was my first sihhtseeing tour in Australia. It was otherwise amazing experience, but the visiting times was quite short at each place. At the van or mini bus, I didn’t hear all the talk, hence I was cornerd. And the accent was difficult some times.

Perfect day on the great ocean road!

Wow, what an insanely perfect day visiting the great ocean road with Mark from Hike & Seek. When researching tours, I knew I didn’t want a big bus group and Hike & Seek was the perfect small group in a nice 8-person max tour group. Mark had so many great stories and historical knowledge. We learned so much and had a great time with him & Dino! We also saw so many wild koalas and mobs of kangaroos which was a major highlight for us! If you have time to spend a day on the great ocean road, book with Hike & Seek. The way they format their tour misses the big tour bus crowds so you have a more personalized and calm experience.

This tour was amazing. Right from the pick up point to our first pit stop for coffee. Angie our tour guide was fabulous. She told us interesting tidbits the entire journey. The 12Apostles are stunning. The schedule and stops was just perfect. I saw more than expected. Highly recommend this tour

Exceptional experience.

Pat C was an absolute cracker. True Aussie tour guide, you couldn’t ask for anything better. I got way more out of the day then they advertised, with close to 10 stops. The whole experience was about 13 hours. I got my tickets from Red Balloon, but hide and seek sell their own too. Amazing views, stops, and experiences. I would recommend anyone that has a spare day in Melbourne to book in with these guys. They provided one of the best memories over my holiday.

The Great Ocean Road was Great

My small group tour was just two people plus our guide Will so it was like having a personal tour guide and a great value. The way they do the tour in 'reverse,' starting at the 12 Apostles and working back to the east also paid big dividends as we never ran into large crowds or larger tour buses at our various stops. Will was very chill, never rushed us, and made sure we had the full experience of the Great Ocean Road. We did not do well for seeing wildlife but that was no one's fault. The tour involves a lot of driving but unavoidable when starting from Melbourne. I was very impressed by Will's driving and time management. I thought the stop for lunch was a bit pricey for the amount of food but not the quality. Overall it was a very enjoyable day and I would highly recommend.

Exprienced Guide with great service and atmosphere

small group great atmosphere, and Guide so friendly and came to walk with us everytime and keep telling us the story behind ect. Also know where can spot wild animals surely exprienced. definetelly consider with them next time and introduce to my friends.

A small group worthwhile tour

A 12-hour small van tour with 8 people that really passed quickly. Main purpose was the Great Ocean Road with natural sights on it like the 12 Apostles where the tour actually begins with and then drives back to Melbourne after visiting a rainforest, giant sequoias, and checking free wild animals along the way (koalas, kangaroos, cockatoos, parrots, ... Our guide was Marcos who engaged with all the passengers and made sure we saw everything. He was a very kind, safe driver, and knowledgeable learned guide.

Amazing! I’m in love with Australia

Amazing trip with Hike and Seek It was a tour in a small group (8 person), everything was great - a guide, a route, our stops - forests, ocean, view-points etc etc It was really great 1-day trip and I’m over impressed)) Travel in small group is more expensive but we can visit more places! It was a very good price for such amazing day. Thank you Hike and Seek! And of course to our friendly and very caring guide ❤️ P.S. as it was November, it was very cold near ocean, I recommend to take more warm cloths with you if it is not summer.

Great Ocean Road

Enjoyed hiking to the waterfall and seeing a few koalas in the wild! Max was an excellent tour guide and had a wicked playlist.

An Excellent Day Tour with a Great Guide

I highly recommend this day tour! Seeing the Great Ocean Road was one of the highlights of my trip to Australia and I'm so grateful to Shane, our guide, for making the trip such a memorable one! He not only showed us some of the most spectacular sights, but he also made sure we were able to spot some wildlife during the tour including kangaroos and koalas. It was definitely a long day, but well worth the time and money.

Great tour! Max was king and a very good tour guide! Lots of driving but we saw a ton and had plenty of amazing photo opportunities

Spectacular!

Our host Lorinda first welcomed us with warm tea, and offered bananas and protein bars. That was the beginning of the day. Then she drove us to the destinations one after another. On the way she explained the history behind each destination. Not only that, she particularly searched for wild animals for us to take photos, also, she showed us several places for scenery photos as well. She is such a warm and great person with nice hospitality. The trip with Lorinda was once-in-a-life-time experience.

A perfect experience from start to finish. a small group and great sights. Shane was always there with a 10/10, helpful, could explain a lot and has great photo tricks. we were provided with coffee, tea energy balls and bananas. Amazing waterfall and immersive rainforest!

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved this trip. The views were amazing at every stop, particularly the Hopetoun waterfall in the rainforest! Our tour guide, Shane, was super knowledgable and informative and knew the answers to all of our questions. Would really recommend if you are staying in Melbourne and want to do a thorough tour of the main spots on the Great Ocean Road. Was really impressive that we were able to fit all of this in one day. Amazing Day Trip

What an amazing trip! Our tour guide Shane was friendly, knowledgeable, funny and very accommodating. The overlooks, beaches, rainforests and all the wildlife (koalas, kangaroos, birds) sightings were breathtaking. There is so much packed into the day but it never felt rushed. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Melbourne and wishing to see the Great Ocean Road.

Shane’s two cents

Jamie was our guide. He said it was his first tour and if he hadn’t said anything, I would’ve thought he was a veteran. He brought his huge camera and binoculars to capture all of the wildlife. His knowledge of the area, birds, sea life and animal life was detailed and historic. He brought tea, coffee, water and some energy balls and bananas for a snack. He was very like able, I think especially for the young girls. 😂 He made the long drives fun and tried to engage everyone. The 12 Apostles were a beautiful scene. The redwoods and waterfall was a nice hike. The windy roads made me a little nauseous but I get road sickness easily. We had a 9 passenger van that was roomy and had air conditioning. Our group was pretty laid back and I felt like we all got a long really well. The restaurant in Lorne was really good. All had either muscles, scallops or fish. Other options available as well. Price was average for a beach town cafe. Drawback would be the price of the tour compared to other tours similar to this, almost double.

Great tour Excellent Guide

Our guide Shane was outstanding. Shane did a great job of interacting with everyone in our group and constantly made sure he was tailoring the tour to our interests. He was very informative and entertaining as we saw all the sites on our tour. In particular he was great at finding numerous local wildlife along the way. A king day but well worth it.

A memorable, engaging and satisfying tour….

Our tour guide Lorinda was the best!!! She picked us up promptly at the arranged time/pick up point and we head south to the coast. On the way we passed thru Victoria’s farm lands and she educated us on the dairy industry and the surrounding towns. The towns were very nice and had all the necessary services. Made stops for personal needs and she had coffee, water and snacks for us. After an hours drive we reached the the first of the Twelve Apostles. Took a hike down to the beach and saw it close up. After that we wandered further down the coast to see more of them. An amazing site that you must see! At midday we stopped for a delicious lunch at a roadside restaurant named The Perch. We then headed inland to Hopetoun Falls again, our guide gave us background on the falls and the area around it. Next up was the Californian Redwoods. Felt just like we were in US. Starting our way back to Melbourne we were fortunate to see some Kolas and Kangaroo’s. It was a long day but everyone enjoy their time along the coast and the care and hospitality. We highly recommend this tour!! If you can, ask for Lorinda.

Great full day tour

This was a really nice tour and allowed us to get out of Melbourne and see more of Australia. Tour was well organized and allowed for appropriate time at all stops. Tour guide (Sarah) was great! She provided a lot of great information about local sites and had a positive energy. We had a mixed group (broad range of ages and travel experience) and Sarah made everyone feel comfortable and addressed individual needs. She made adjustments to the itinerary based on group input which was really nice. The 12 Apostles was gorgeous, but it's very buggy. You aren't there long so you don't need to douse yourself in bug spray, but the bugs are out! The short waterfall walk was nice and the local flora and fauna were interesting to see. Lunch was good and didn't feel overly touristy. We enjoyed snooping around the little towns and had the best ice cream at one of the stops (Dooley's). It's a full day and we loved it!

Great day trip out of the city!

Great day trip out of the city! The views are absolutely breathtaking and a great way to see the Great Ocean Road without having to drive yourself so you can truly soak in the scenery. There is a lot of time spent in the car but there is no shortage of beautiful sites to see from the backseat of the van and phenomenal views at each stop. You can expect a fast-paced schedule for the day, plenty of opportunities for snacks and bathroom breaks, a lunch stop with delicious food options, a little bit of stair climbing at a few stops, and the chance to see kangaroos and koalas if you’re lucky! Marcus was a great tour guide, this is a must-do if you’re staying in the Melbourne area and want a break from your usual city site seeing.

Our guide was amazing, patient and informative. She made sure everyone in the group was taken care of and made a point of getting to know each of us. She answered all questions thrown at her with knowledge and additional information. I would definitely do another tour with her as a guide!

Wonderful day with a wonderful guide

We were in a very comfortable van with 8 passengers and a really excellent guide, Shane. This day was one of my favorite in Australia. The 12 Apostles scenery is very beautiful and iconic Australia. The Great Ocean road has several beautiful places to stop. But we also went to a waterfall, walked in a forest of California Redwoods, had lunch in a lovely little restaurant, and got to see a mama and baby koala up in a tree. Shane was full of information about everything and a great conversationalist. This is simply a great excursion.

Awesome Ocean Road Adventure

Everything about this tour was perfect: small group/comfortable van with good aircon/ excellent itinerary and a very knowledgeable and highly personable guide..... nothing was too much trouble for Marcus. The reverse itinerary meant there were few people at the Apostles which was great! Our lunch stop was delicious. Seeing 7 koalas in the wild was truly memorable and a dip in the ocean rounded everything off brilliantly. Thank you!

HIghly Recommend-Incredible Tour

What an incredible drive! Shane, our terrific guide and the driver drove the group of six on this incredible journey. We saw a wallaby, kangaroos, koalas, and colorful birds (including an umbrella cockatoo). We hiked to see a lovely waterfall and giant sequoias. Shane made sure we saw koalas in the wild and stopped the van several times so we could get out and see them. We drove to see the twelve apostles and walked on a beautiful beach. Lunch was spectacular and delicious, and the price was right. Shane even took us for coffee in the morning. Our guide did not disappoint us. We saw so many beautiful locations in the time we spent together. We spent another 20 days in Australia and New Zealand, and this was the ONLY day that so many animals and birds. Well worth it!

Fantastic trip

This was a fantastic trip . Guide Marcus was great, very informative and knowledgeable and obviously passionate about his job. The scenery was amazing and the stop offs were well spaced out. Lunch stop was great with good selection of choices. Of course it was something special to see Koalas in their natural environment. It’s a long day but it was a small group and it was easy to chat. We would certainly recommend this trip.

Great drive through the country side to the breathtaking coast road. Apostles are impressive in scale and beauty. Tour guide, Lorinda was super, informative and went the extra mile to find koalas, kangaroos and wallabies in their natural habitat. Do this tour!

This is a great trip! If you’re looking to maximize the amount of experiences you have in one day, this is the way to do it. A good variety of popular spots and more secluded places, and the drive was beautiful.
