So much fun

Although we live in Melbourne, we went to bars we had never been to before and had the best time with Ian (our tour guide) on this tour - so much fun and Ian was so knowledgeable and friendly. Can't wait to do another tour with Ian!

Great night with great people!

Great evening with a fantastic and passionate guide going to some great laneway bars. Ian loved to share the history around some of the places we stopped or even walked past, which was a great bonus. Even as Melbourne locals, we found some new waterholes and the whole tour group was so lovely we went for kick-ons afterwards. Definitely recommend!

Unique experience with great cocktails along the way!

Had a great afternoon with our guide Ian and all the wonderful people we met. Discovered some hidden gems and Ian's knowledge of Melbourne's history was impressive. Watching elite mixologists crafting delicious cocktails was an experience in itself! Ian's tips and list of other hidden bars meant that those of us who wanted to continue on after the tour finished had plenty of other hidey holes to try! A fantastic experience for Melbourne locals and visitors alike.

What a fantastic way to spend an afternoon. Our guide Ian was such good company, full of chat and so so knowledgeable it took your breath away at times.

Secret bars Overpriced tour

We had 6 friends and another 4 joined on our tour. We all paid $90 each = $900. The tour guide was nice, but we got nothing else for our $90 each. We walked to 3 bars and took a free tram to another. We had to buy our drinks on top of the $90. So it was not goos value. We could've Google the secret bars and saved the $90 each.

Educational and entertaining tour with Beau.

The tour was super great Beau provided. He showed us so much of the city and places we may never have found on our own. The stories were really great. I really enjoy educational and entertaining tours and Beau provided both.

Fun experience to do with friends when in Melbourne.

Ian was a friendly, knowledgable guide who took us to four very cool bars. Each bar had different vibes and excellent cocktail lists. The bar snacks provided were delicious. Our group really enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend it. Thanks for a fun few hours Ian.

Well worth it!

What a fantastic way to get shown some amazing places. We had a great afternoon being guided by a very knowledgeable host to some really cool places. Places we probably wouldn't have ventured into or found had we not been on this tour. We were lucky enough to share this experience with 3 other great couples and a single from Melbourne and NSW, which made the time even better. Fully recommend.

A really fun thing to do in your own city

The Hidden Bar tour around Melbourne with Laura was fantastic, and exceeded our expectations. We visited some fabulous bars and were fortunate to have a really great group. Laura was an awesome guide - knowledgeable and fun! Would definitely recommend this tour to family & friends as an activity to explore the amazing city we live in.

Great afternoon.

We had a fabulous afternoon and enjoyed every cocktail. For us it was worthwhile to pre buy our drinks and receive a discount. Laura was great and very informative. At the last bar, we had dinner in the restaurant below, which was also amazing. Something I would definitely recommend for a fun afternoon!

The tour was so interesting. I have never expected that I could find something like this as a city tour - but Melbourne just has too much to offer! We experienced 4 nice bars with lovely drinks. All 4 are so different but nice. Definitely give it a try if you

Hidden Bars tour - worth a visit

Great tour. First we had a really good group of people. 11 in total. Visited 4 very different bars spread across CBD. All with a story & all ones you probably wouldn’t find or look for apart from this tour. Guide had good knowledge of bars & looked after us well. Cocktails were great - but if you are not a cocktail lover, plenty of beer, gin & scotch options at every venue. Highly recommend.

Awesome Walking Tour

Learned a lot from this tour and appreciated how historical sites came to be a bar which in turn still saves the history of the place. The tour push through even if there's only me who booked on 14th Feb for this tour. Laura is so accommodating and helped me document the memories with pictures. She's considerate of my drinking habit and helped me out with directions on the places I'd want to see. She gave me a map where she personally wrote the good places to visit.

Our family went with Simon on this tour. We really enjoyed all the info about the lovely city of Melbourne Simon provided. He pointed out lots of interesting places and hidden gems. Unfortunately it was on a Monday and many were closed. We liked that he tailored the bars to suit our drinking habits. I will say picking our own drinks was a little over whelming. We were used to having the drinks picked for us. But all was great none the less.

Great fun

This tour was one of the highlights of our AO weekend!! John was amazing. Gave us some great insights into old Melbourne and the new Melbourne bar scenes. The 4 bars were each unique in their own amazing way. We never would have found these bars on our own. Driver Lane bar was our favourite. Amazing little bar. But all 4 bars were great. Hidden Bar Tour revealed hidden gems!

What a fantastic day we had on the hidden bars tour - it was so great learning about the history of the bars we visited & such a surprise to see where these hidden gems were. We had a lovely friendly group of 9….lots of laughs were had & delicious cocktails enjoyed. We were lucky to have Depot owner John as our tour guide…who’d have thought a guy from Minnesota would have such a wealth of knowledge about Melbourne! John was organised, informative, fun & looked after the group really well. After posting some pics on FB, I’ve had several friends asking about the tour & whether it’s a good thing to do - I highly recommend doing it!

Hugo was a legend. Very personable and great at getting the group to interact with each other. He knew his stuff..so we will be booking a history tour next time we visit.

A must-do tour for anyone who likes cocktails in Melbourne

This was the best tour and Hugo was fantastic! Our group was small and he tailored the stops around our interests. He taught us so much about Melbourne and took us to places that we would never have found on our own, including a bar behind an unmarked door, a speakeasy, and a couple of interesting rooftop bars. Cannot recommend this tour enough if you like handcrafted cocktails and great conversation.

Amazing experience

If you’re on the fence about attending this tour i can whole heartedly recommend doing it. Great way to meet people and our guide Hugo is an amazing guy, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable regarding the melbourne drinking scene. The must do mystery tour in Melbourne

This was the third time I have done this tour with our tour guide, Hugo and Depot Adventures All three times have been absolutely awesome !! The venues and the history of the bars we visited were explained in depth by our tour guide, who really has a passion for showing guests to a different side of Melbourne. Cant wait till my forth tour in 2024

Melbourne. Best place to visit.

Very great tour guide. Impressed with the laneways art's and decor and all that it had to offer. Our guide provide us with a free cup of coffee/chocolate and beer at the end at 2 of his most famous spot. He even provided a map for us to stop at some of the most unpopular of beaten attractions upon end of tour. Thank you very much for showing us around your city of Melbourne. Very reasonable for the price.

Fun experience

This was a great experience. We met many interesting people and had lots of laughs. Hugo was a fantastic tour guide and a wealth of knowledge. The history behind the places we visited was fascinating. These are places I would not have known existed, nor think of going to. There was just enough walking and time for drinking to make this a pleasant experience. I highly recommend this walking tour.

A fun way to discover bars in Melbourne

Our tour guide Hugo was informative and made the tour fun. It was interesting meeting others on the tour and as the drinks are spread out over time it wasn’t too many.

Had a great afternoon with Marc..The bars were diverse but all special in their own way. Definitely a lot of fun and interesting.

Excellent and fun tour

Hugo our tour guide, did an excellent job. He met us, even though we were the only two scheduled for that afternoon. He showed us a total of six bars which were all hidden gems. This included the White Hart, the music room at the Her bar and beneath driver lane. While these exact bars may change, each had a hidden feature or a special quirk that made them memorable. We also were able to ask Hugo a lot of questions about Melbourne and Australia, in general, which was a real highlight of our trip. Totally recommend the tour He even gave us a map of the bars we visited and further suggestions for dinner.
