Magical fairy penquins!!

Small tour of 11. Bus driver/guide was great; humorous, informative. We stopped at a seaside town for dinner (not included in price of tour) - fun to stroll streets and go down to beach to watch birds (parrots). Stopover by sea to watch sea lions along rugged coast with crashing waves. Then off to highlight watching fairy penquins waddle up the beach to their night homes. We also saw enroute anteater and many wallabies. Magical 5 hours. Perfect time of day 5 pm - 11 pm. Returned home around midnight.

I don't usually write reviews, but this one was special. Our guide, Dandy, made the trip exceptional. ( I know several other people who did the same tour with different guides without the same results.) Dandy knew special places to see koalas and kangeroos. Plus his enthusiasm for sharing his knowledge made it seem like it wasn't just a job for him. Of the 3 tours I took, this was the only van that the AC and sound system worked.

Great route, amazing and funny

Bronson our guide was amazing, funny, giving a lot of explanations. We saw koalas and cangoroos, the forest etc. it is a long day trip but absolutely recommendable. And the scallop pie in Apollo beach is delicious!

One of the best experience I have ever had!

Traveled with my 5yo daughter. support team were very helpful and accommodating. Even got a buster for the car. Travel Guide & drive Pay attention to details explaining everything along the way. Really appreciate and enjoy the trips.

Great Ocean Rd & Philip Island Penguin Parade

Kevin was our tour guide for the Great Ocean Road and he was knowledgeable and provided running commentary including history , wildlife & random information that made the tour fun and interesting. From the chocolate factory to ablesea ward, Boobah Beach, Lorne , Queenscliff Coastal Reserve, tge St. George River Estiary, Kennett River where we saw Koala, cockatoos & rosellas. We stopped at George’s for fish n chips in Apollo Bay and went on to cape Otway & Maits Rest (a n old & interesting forest preserve made us feel like we were in Jurassic Park. We went on to Princetown Reserve to see Kangaroos, then to port Campbell national park for the 12 Apostles, island archway, Razorback & Loch Ard Lookout. We topped it off at an alpaca farm. Fantastic. Travis was our guide for Philip Island and the Penguin Parade Plus - we visited the Moonlit Sanctuary on the way and saw kangaroos, wallaby’s, kookaburras, Tasmanian devil, koalas & more - he was engaging, entertaining and knowledgeable as well it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend both tours. Our guides were great and whether you get Kevin or Travis - you will love the tours!!!

Entertaining!

We did the tour to Moonlit Sanctuary and the Penguin Parade on Philip Island with Kevin one day. He seemed well informed and was able to answer our questions. Kevin made this trip very entertaining. We did the Great Ocean Road tour with Sam on another day. Our guide was able to show us many interesting features. Maybe time was an issue but we didn’t get to stop and see the “London Bridge” on the way home.

Excellent value for money

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour to Moonlight Sanctuary and Phillip Island Penguin Parade. Alex, our guide, was both entertaining and educational. His knowledge of history was exceptional and explained to us very well. We were well catered for in time at venues and for dinner. Alex drove the vehicle very well and at no time were we concerned for our safety. No hesitation in recommending this tour

So worth it!

Thankful for this tour as both would have been difficult to do on our own. Since this tour is broken up into two different days, you may end up with two different guides as we did. Both made our experience wonderful. However, Kevin goes out of his way to make sure everyone has a good experience. He does these trips daily and yet it seem like he’s enjoying himself as well. Beautiful scenery and the highlight is the penguins. Definitely do the penguins plus! Both trips do not disappoint!

Amazing tours of Victoria!

Both Sebastian and Fred, the 2 tour guides over the 2 days, were amazing and showed everyone a great time! Highly recommended for a trip outside of Melbourne to see some of the best of Victoria.

The great ocean road trip and Philip island trips were the absolute highlights of our holiday!!! Fred was our tour guide and he went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time possible, he even drove us through the F1 race track on our second trip as he noticed we were interested in F1 during our first tour ! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend doing these tours for anyone visiting Melbourne😊 thanks for a fantastic trip Fred- London girls ! X

Best tour ever!

We had the most amazing and memorable time on the Great Ocean Road and Phillip Island penguins! Couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide than Fred. Fred was full of enthusiasm & knowledge and made sure we experienced as much as we could. Highly recommend both these tours to anyone visiting!

Tour to the Great Ocean Road

I took my tour on Jan 16,2020. It was what we could expect from what was described. Really breathtaking and amazing experiences. My guide that day was Martin. Martin was great and fun to take the trip with. The best part was when he brought was Australian treats so we could get a grip of trip (sorry,Martin, that I didn’t try the vegemite!!!). He really got us involved in the trip and in the Aussie culture (and he is British!!). It was sensational!!!

Talk about Fred-tastic!!

My mom, grandma, and I spent back-to-back days with tour guide Fred doing the Great Ocean Road trip as well as the Phillip Island trip. Fred was fantastic and he made everything so personable! He feels less like a tour guide and more like that friend that you've had for years, rarely see, and always have the best of times with! He really gets to know the people on his tours and likes to tailor the day to what the group wants rather than a super strict and regimented route. I have been in Melbourne for 3 months already and still learned heaps of new things!! One thing I suggest is if you are doing both the Great Ocean Road and the penguin tour, do them in that order. The Road is a really early morning and Phillip Island is a pretty late night, so keep that in mind when planning a trip. Thanks for everything, Fred!!

Unforgettable Trips with Fred

Fred was our fearless tour guide for two back to back full day excursions from Melbourne (Great Ocean Road and Phillip Island). I was traveling with my husband, daughter, and parents as we were celebrating 3 big milestones. I am speaking for everyone with confidence when I say that we all had an absolutely fabulous time on both days! The places you will be visiting are incredible and words will never be enough to describe the beautiful ocean that stretches for miles. There are plenty of wildlife and up close encounters with kangaroos, wallabies, birds, little penguins, everything you have heard/expected and more. However, what made this trip especially memorable and unforgettable was the time we spent with Fred (you MUST request him!). Fred is genuinely nice, sincerely friendly, very knowledgeable, professional, accommodating and has a great sense of humor. I learned so much about Australia not only about the places we visited but about the culture, history and other current affairs. Fred is so passionate about what he does and is an absolutely amazing person (no he did not pay me to write this lol). He will take you to all of the hidden gems along the tour and if you’re lucky he may even buy you Tim Tams! He truly has a gift—the stories he tells and the way he tells them will make the time fly by. You can not experience Melbourne’s highlights in the same way without meeting Fred. He went above and beyond to be accommodating. I normally don’t take the time to write reviews, in fact I have never written one before for Trip Advisor, but I felt that it was necessary to pass on the opportunity to go on this life changing experience. It is our first time ever in Australia, and I am so grateful to have gone on this tour with Fred—no regrets. Thank you!!!

Two Amazing Adventures

We had two fantastic days with Oceania and our awesome guide, Fred. The Ocean Road Tour gave us gorgeous views of the southern coast, a delicious lunch in Apollo Bay, and some close up encounters with wildlife. At one of our stops, some beautiful rosellas came to feed from our hands, and at another, we walked the bush at Eco lodge and saw numerous kangaroos close up, as well as several koalas up in the trees. The tour ended at the 12 Apostles. Our second tour took us to Phillips Island. The highlights were a stop at Moonlit Sanctuary where the kids could pet a koala and feed the kangaroos, a dinner in Cowes with a bountiful spread of delicious food, and of course, the Penguin Parade. We opted for the underground viewing area and were glad we did. Not only did it keep us warm on a cold, rainy evening, but gave our little ones (and adults) a close up of the penguins as they paraded right in front of the glass windows where we were watching. We were a private family tour with five adults and three young children, 4 and under. I can’t say enough about Fred. He was so patient with us, and so good with the kids. He is a great storyteller and obviously loves his work. He treated us not as customers, but as new friends with whom he was excited to show off his country. So many special memories!

Stunning Scenery Along the Coast

Our group of 16 from the Stratford Sister Cities of the World was thrilled and amazed to take the tour of Great Ocean Road. Coordination and logistics by our tour guide, Fred was well planned and smooth. Transit from Melbourne to the location went by quickly as we were entertained by information about Melbourne, nearby locations and other stories. We also had the pleasure of touring Phillip Island and watching the Penguin Parade. It all was fascinating and very memorable thanks to Fred- he's an amazing tour guide! We were the group that sang for him as we said goodbye at the end of the second day.

Unmögliche Termin-Organisation und Uneinsicht!

Unser Tourguide Fred war ausgezeichnet, freundlich, informativ, so dass wie einen guten Eindruck von Land und Leuten bekamen. Die Organisation der Tour war unmöglich. Wenn die Wahlmöglichkeit einer Terminänderung gegeben ist, sollte diese auch unmissverständlich funktionieren: Wir hatten den Termin um einen Tag vorverlegt und auch dafür die Bestätigung erhalten, wurden aber nicht abgeholt. Erst auf Nachfrage sagte man uns, dass es wohl einen Systemfehler gegeben hat - ohne irgendwelches Entgegenkommen. Wir verloren einen halben Urlaubstag dadurch! Erst auf nochmalige Darstellung wurde uns ein Upgrade bei der Pinguinshow gewährt. Am meisten ärgerte mich die Uneinsichtigkeit des Anbieters, der auch mit Gewährung des Upgrades keine Schuld eingestand - obwohl ich das geänderte Ticket in den Händen hielt. Das Upgrade bei der Pinguinshow entspricht nicht einem halben verlorenen Urlaubstag! Karina Sperl

Excelente día junto a Leo

El tour estuvo muy bueno y la verdad que leo sabe absolutamente todo acerca del tema. Es muy estudioso y por lo tanto es capaz de dar información muy precisa. Lo recomiendo.

Due tour imperdibili

Durante il nostro viaggio di nozze, lo scorso settembre, abbiamo trascorso due giorni tra Penguin Island e Great Ocean Road. In entrambi le giornate abbiamo avuto l'ottima guida di Massimo. Nel primo tour eravamo 4 coppie (tutti italiani). La prima sosta è stata al Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park, una struttura che accoglie animali per curarli e che permette ai visitatori di poter osservare in modo ravvicinato koala, canguri, wallabies e dar loro da mangiare. Per noi che venivamo già da 2 giorni a Kangaroo Island è stato un pò come essere allo zoo (con le dovute proporzioni) ma per chi è alla prima esperienza con questi animali può essere sicuramente bello. Dopo una breve sosta al circuito di Phillip Island, aspettare il tramonto per vedere la parata dei pinguini che tornano alle loro tane è stato davvero emozionante. Il secondo giorno eravamo da soli con Massimo che ci ha portato prima in giro per spiagge, onde e surfisti (Bells Beach), poi alla Great Ocean Road, a Kennett River a dar da mangiare ai bellissimi e variopinti pappagalli, al Melba Gully State Park e, infine, ai Dodici Apostoli. Tutto molto bello e suggestivo arricchito dalla conoscenza e dalla sapiente e simpatica guida di Massimo a cui invio un affettuoso abbraccio.

Escursioni da fare assolutamente!

Siamo stati a Melbourne come prima tappa del viaggio di nozze! Abbiamo avuto il piacere di effettuare il pomeriggio prima l'escursione a Phillip Island con la fantastica guida Jessica - esperienza meravigliosa, scoprire un mondo così magicamente buffo, ovvero quello dei pinguini! - ed il giorno dopo abbiamo fatto il tour sulla Great Ocean Road, insieme all'intraprendente guida Massimo! Sono state entrambe delle bellissime esperienze, guide molto preparate, curiose e che rispondono ad ogni singola domanda! Riescono a farti apprezzare ed amare questa città in pochissimo tempo! Hemos venido a Melbourne un grupo de 8 amigos desde las Islas Canarias(España). El viaje estaba organizado desde España,pero no hemos encontrado aquí con una organización perfecta,pero lo mejor ha sido nuestro guía Boris,desde el primer momento todo ha sido perfecto,nos ha facilitado la cosas y ha sido como si fuese uno más del grupo,nos ha hecho disfrutar de las excursiones como si fuese uno de los nuestros.
