McLaren Vale Small Group Wine Tour

Fabulous day spent in McLaren Vale with loads of delicious wines to show for it !!

Had a wonderful Sunday being toured around McLaren Vale, by Nick from Wine Diva Tours!! We took in 4 fabulous boutique wines, a grazing board for lunch at stop number 3 and a scenic car ride back to Adelaide past the coast. I can't recommend them enough for their attentiveness and service level, will happily book again and can't wait for them to release a Clare Valley Tour offering.

Private tour to the hidden jewels of McLaren Vale

I strongly recommend this tour. We booked a small group tour for a more personal experience and we got it in abundance. On the tour was us two and Nick, the driver. Nick gave us a fantastic day in the heart of McLaren Vale. Nick lives in the valley and thus his knowledge and expertise is fantastic. He asked us a few questions to understand our preferences and then designed our tour accordingly. We had an equally nice tour with Nick to Barossa Valley a few days before and after two days together we were almost as family. Nick will surely be a person we remember from our travels. Again, highly recommended.

Wine Divas Tours are Great!

Jeff was a wonderful host and driver. We enjoyed all of the cellar doors he selected, which each had its own individuality and character. The lunch was plentiful and excellent, as well. We highly recommend Wine Divas tours.

Great Day Out

David was really nice and provided a lot of information about the wineries and the region. Very comfortable Mercedes van moved us from vineyard to vineyard. Our preference was to go to small independent wineries, and we had a great time. Probably a favorite for us was Dowie Doole and I will let Dacvid give you the background to the name. Some stunning views, great to see a few kangaroos. Highly recommend.

Excellent McLaren Vale Day Trip

Fantastic trip with Nick! Friendly guide who was able to answer all our questions and include requested stops such as the D'Arenberg Cube. Fantastic choice in wineries and easy pick up and drop off! Would highly recommend for wine tours and look forward to joining Wine Divas on another trip!

Best Winery Tours by Far

From the moment we were picked up from our location and entered the bus, my wife and I know we were in for a great day!! The driver, David was very courteous and polite. As for the other passengers, we have never met such a beautiful, outrageously funny crew in all our wine tours combined…and there have been plenty. The laughter didn’t stop all day and we were wiping our eyes constantly as the tears of laughter were endlessly flowing. As for the driver, Dave, his knowledge and guidance in the the area was impeccably professional and kind. The wineries we visited were expertly chosen and highlights were Chalk Hill winery, Samsons Tall Wines, Oliver’s @ Taranga, Coriole Winery and Shirvington Wines. This was by far, the MOST fun we have ever had on a tour and will be back again next year, same time… Definitely recommend this tour to any group looking for an expertly crafted and fun filled winery tour.

All about the Lobsters

The tour, area, and especially our delightful guide(s) made the day exceptional. Cannot recommend Nick and the Wine Diva Tour company enough. (Thanks also Dave- Barossa region) Full of interesting (?!!🤪) information, great conversation and went above and beyond looking after us. Their knowledge of the region and amazing suggested wines and wineries was spot on. Very relaxed day. 😊

Flexible, chilled and tasty.

I would highly recommend this tour. Mick tailored the day to our tastes and fitted in a couple of places we asked about. The lunch was great and so was Mick’s knowledge of the area.

Great journey

Enjoyed the wineries we attended, Samson Tall, Oliver’s Taranga, Shirvington and Ortus. Great wines at all four and enjoyed the talks by the presenters and the lunch at Shirvington was excellent. Great company and chats on the way. The host Nick was friendly and unobtrusive but answered our questions and obviously knows the area well.

Our weekend getaway to...

Our weekend getaway to McLaren Vale for a winery tour was absolutely fantastic, and a big part of that was our awesome driver Nick. Right from the start, he greeted us with a friendly smile that set the tone for the day. He knew McLaren Vale wine very well, sharing fun facts and stories that made each winery visit even more enjoyable. He also made sure we went to wineries that matched our tastes, which was a thoughtful touch. And let's not forget the stunning McLaren Vale scenery!

A tailored McLaren Vale tour

Nick was a fabulous guide with great local knowledge and tailored the tour to our tastes. We loved the flexibility day - Nick took the time to get to know us to take us to places he knew we would love. After being on other tours on our trip to Adelaide - this one was by far the best.

Fantastic day out

We loved our tour to McLaren Vale with Nick as our guide. As he lives in the McLaren Vale area his knowledge was 2nd to none. He tailored the day to our liking and took us to some amazing wineries. Lunch at Shirvington Wines was exquisite, the platter was plentiful and delicious. Highly recommend this tour and if you do like organics and quirkiness ask to visit Down the Rabbit Hole

Great wine, great guide, and magnificent sunset!

Our tour guide Nick was personable, knowledgeable and passionate about the Mclaren Vale and wine. He was also tons of fun. He was happy to adjust our tour to suit our interests and tastes, took us wild life searching on the way home, and even stopped at a beach where we were able to photograph a spectacular sunset. I highly recommend this tour company.

Fantastic Day!!

We had a fantastic full day wine tour with Nick. He was punctual & professional and had a lot of local general knowledge which was brilliant as we are from WA. The car that we toured in was spotless and very comfortable! Nick ran the tour even though there was only 2 of us and he was so flexible, accommodating any particular requests that we had. We went to 3 fantastic wineries, a brewery and a gin distillery! They were all fabulous and we were well looked after at every location. Nothing was too much trouble for Nick and the best thing was he was able to pick us up & drop us back to our accommodation just outside of McClaren Vale town. We had a brilliant day! Would highly recommend this tour!!

Great day out in the vale

Had a lovely day out in a small group - us and another couple who were really easy to get along with - so that helped. George was a lovely guide and managed to squeeze in my favourite winery in the end. Thanks for a great day! Definitely recommend.

Girls’ day out in McLaren Vale

It was a mum and daughter day out. Each winery was different yet special in its own way. Our driver tailored our experience expertly and finishing at the gin distillery was the icing on the cake Thank you Nick

Great if you have your own group of 4-6.

Tour host was great and wineries visited were great, but I had to give it only a three as booked as a luxury small number wine tour. As it was my wife and I I didn't expect just a car with me and her, but to have a six eater with 3 seats facing backwards so that all six faced each other and your knees touched made it a little uncomfortable and too close for comfort with strangers. There were 5 in our car a group of three and me and my wife. Probably would be fun if you were a group of 4 together, but 5 or 6 and strangers was not great. All in all was a good day. 3 is probably a little low but 4 was too high. My wife and I did a Barossa tour the next day that was through a different company. all forward facing sats and only 4 but could hav taken 8. driver said he only takes 6 and it is his business , for comfort levels. Also for same price, lunch was better standard - not a platter- wineries were testing fees waved and driver more informative

My husband and I had a wonderful day with Nick on our first trip to McLaren Vale. Nick's local knowledge and his obvious love for the region shone through. He asked our preferences and was happy to accommodate our request to visit a gin distillery as part of the day. All wineries he took us to were superb with Oliver's Taranga being the standout for both their wines and their service. All wineries and cellar doors we visited were excellent and the lunch platter was amazing. Nick also made a stop at the Cube so we could have a look. We would recommend to anyone visiting the region.

The only way to see McLaren Vale Wineries

We had a great time in McLaren Vale. The two tours Wine Diva Tours arranged (McLAren Vale and a private tour for the 4 of us to Langhorne Creek) were sensational and a great way (safe and easy) to sample the wineries and the region. We enjoyed both days out with a very safe driver, great tour guide who was knowledgeable and accommodating in what he showed us and the experiences we had at each winery. Each winery was very different but at each we were treated as VIP's and wine tastings were delivered by either the winemaker or a senior staff member. The lunch platters were great for an easy lunch.

Nick is a your perfect guide with extensive knowledge of the wines and the region. He takes you to beautiful wineries and makes it a great day in a great wine region.

Style, comfort and excellent service!

We enjoyed a relaxing and interesting day visiting 4 wineries in style. The wineries selected were based on the types of wines we enjoyed as well as one request (which of course meant that we just had to purchase some!). Our driver and host, Nick, provided excellent service and his knowledge of the area as well as wine was vast. Our lunch platter was suburb, presenting fresh, local produce in a friendly and picturesque environment. Thanks Wine Divas!

We were picked up by Greg and our small group was then looked after by Harold for the day. Both men were super lovely and extremely knowledgeable about the beautiful wine region of Mclaren Vale. We visited a stunning collection of wineries and were never left wanting for local detail or information about anything. Had a lovely platter lunch which kept us going also. Highly recommend Wine Diva.

Great experience, great company

Greg and Dee were so friendly and professional to deal with. Greg’s knowledge of the area was perfect for us to experience both the big wineries and boutique cellar doors as well. He went above and beyond for us, even dropping us to dinner and his local knowledge and reputation gave us an experience we wouldn’t have achieved on our own. Incredible day!

The wine tour was amazing! Harold was exceptional. Knowledgeable, funny and considerate. He even ducked off to grab me some Panadol as I had a headache. 10/10!

The best wine tour I've experienced!

Greg was the most accommodating and friendly tour guide I have ever experienced. With his connection and knowledge of McLaren Vale he brought is to the best cellar doors. The day was amazing! Highly recommend this man and his tour. You will have a fantastic day out tasting wine.

Luxury wine tour

Had an absolute blast with Greg visiting 5 different spots throughout mclaren vale. After conversation Greg made some cellar door reccomendations that were spot on and we went home very happy with many bottles of wine. Beautiful platter lunch as well. Highly reccomend and we will definitely return!

Novel wines and attractions to discover

Greg was a funny, informative guide, a long-time transplant from another state who was able to point out the unique traits of SA - milk winning over Coke, who knew? All the vineyards we visited were unfamiliar but their uniqueness was what appealed to us the most, the lunch included was plentiful and tasty, and there was time enough to enjoy a drink after lunch by the fireside while we waited the rain out. The unrushed pace made for a relaxing day out. Our group only consisted of 3 (!) people and Greg was knowledgeable and flexible enough to tailor the wineries visited with the group's personal preferences. There was even a visit to a gin distillery based on our interest, with great views that capped off an amazing day despite the intermittent rain. Don't miss the d'Arenberg Cube! Highly recommended daytrip, and Greg mentioned they also run a B&B - we are definitely tempted to stay off the back of this experience :)

Fantastic hosts!

Greg was a friendly and entertaining host for our day trip. He took us to a combination of popular and boutique wineries and was flexible to our preferences. He is extremely knowledgeable and easy going and we cannot recommend Wine Divas enough. Both Greg and Dee were so easy to deal with and we had a fantastic day out!

One of the best winery tours!

The wineries were amazing and Greg really tailored the trip based on our interests. He was so friendly and yet gave us our space. The platter for lunch was especially delicious!

My wife and I had a great day out with Greg. A true local with a passion for wine and McLaren vale and a knowledge second to none of the area. Greg picked us up from Adelaide CBD and it wasn’t long before we knew we were in for a treat and my wife could be wine diva for a day. Forget about anything you see in big bottle shops and let Greg guide you to McLaren vale’s true gems and boutique wineries that treat you like a guest not a number and showcase some of the most incredible wines we’ve ever tasted. Grea day out in McLaren Vale

Small wineries, lovely and interesting people, excellent driver and guide. We visited a range of wineries and tasted many wonderful wines.

Highly Recommend!

Greg was absolutely an amazing host, I would highly recommend. The tour is definitely more personable and not your average tour, he will go with the flow and how the day is going and take you to as many or little places as the tour wants. Wish there was a Greg in Melbourne and us girls would be going to wineries every weekend.

Amazing tour!!! A grade experience!!!

This has been the second time that Greg from Wine divas has taken my Fiance and I to McLaren vale and certainly won't be the last. Greg is a McLaren Vale local and personally knows wine makers at vineyards that treat us amazingly with a unique experience at each! He answers questions, ensures you have plenty of variety and even suggests the best places in town. If you're after something specific he will go out of his way to make sure you get it! For instance I was after a tawny port and we visited two cellar doors! Greg's service cannot be matched and even remembered my name after our first visit, three years prior! Number one wine tour!

Above and Beyond!

This is the second time we have used Wine Diva Tours to do a full day wine tour around McLaren Vale and both times we have had such a great time! They are super friendly, full of knowledge and make you feel so comfortable asking questions etc. Greg lives in McLaren Vale and has been in the business so long that everyone at all the wineries we’ve been to know him personally and always treat us with a little bit extra because we’re on a tour with him! We were treated to the “wine diva special” for lunch last weekend whilst on the tour which has to be the best platter I have ever had in my life! (We asked how do we get it again when we come back next time and were told they only make it for Greg’s customers!). They went above and beyond for us. Would strongly recommend!

Fabulous day at the best wineries ever

Taking my husband on a wine tour for our anniversary with Greg at Diva Wine tours was wonderful. Greg could not have been more helpful. My husband and I both have walkers and Greg was so helpful in supporting us both. We went to wineries that suited us to perfection. 2 of them we had never been to before and they were fantastic. I think the las palce he took us was the Confessional and the wines and the platter of food were unbelievable., Would take the tour again in a second and would recommend Greg and Diva tours to everyone.
