The green rolling hills of Derbyshire

I enjoyed the lush green farmland, rolling hills, tree lined roads and quaint villages with stone houses, cobblestone streets and dry stone walls. Darren our tour guide was very friendly, helpful and cheerful.

Excellent Tour Guide

Darren was an excellent tour guide. He had lots of interesting information and stories to share. He worked around the weather and traffic to allow us to see as much of the Peak District that we could have. I really enjoyed the trip

Room for improvement

The tour guide was knowledgeable and funny. Our group was 8. Wonderful scenery. One of the drawbacks was the cave admission fees were included when I booked. Actually, we paid admission fees instead because cave was changed finally. The correct information should be provided. Besides, we did not have adequate time to visit Monsal Trail. Finally, it was quite difficult to locate meeting point: M1 2WD.

Lovely day trip with Chris👌

When we travelled from Manchester to Derbyshire and Peak District, Chris was the best tour guide we've ever had. He is also a wonderful person. He ensured that everyone travelling with him was always happy, comfortable, and safe by providing detailed explanations of the trip, the city's culture, and the history there. Great touring

Took this tour with Clive. To say this was a fantastic experience is an understatement. Although seating 16 it is cold and low season and there were 2 of us but they went with the tour anyway so this was in essence a private tour. Clive is a excellent guide. He is personable and energetic. He explains things en route so you have more than ample time to discover once on the ground. I also did the Snowdonia tour with him. Took fantastic photo stops along the way. I am sold on the Rabbie concept and hope to use them again for future trips.

A lovely day in the Peak District

A great all round day trip from start to finish! Our driver Chris was very friendly & knowledgeable & interactive with everyone; which was a pleasure! Loved the places we visited, it's a must to go back. Many thanks for a lovely day. 👍

Great day out

Excellent day trip. Pre paid for a 45min guided tour. Arrived bang ontime, receptionist was very nice, friendly and helpful. Our guide collected us up and we followed him around the caves and chambers stopping occasionally to talk about interesting facts and point out using light effects, certain areas and their story. We found this tour very structured, the guide was very knowledgable. He explained we should remain together and to use the appropiate handrail and not to touch. Mind your head and step signs. We throughly enjoyed our day. Cavern cafe, useful, hot & cold food & drinks available, bit pricey. Ample carkparking. Enjoyable day. .

Beautiful Tour!

Our group of 6 really enjoyed this tour! Chris was the best guide we could have asked for. He had a lot of knowledge about the area and made sure we had a great experience. Would definitely do again!

Perfect Peak tour

Great tour. Timing at each stop was perfect. Adam was very personable and had limitless knowledge of history, geology, geography of the area. At each stop he had tips to improve our exploration. The small coach not only made for a friendly group but also made it possible for Adam to take us to some off the beaten path spots.

Today’s trip to the Lakes was just what I needed to unwind. The driver/tour guide, Chris, was at the pickup site early and ready to greet the guests. He developed a rapport with our diverse group. As mentioned by other reviews, Chris drove carefully and respectfully. The carefully curated selection of local music that played during the drive was a delightful touch to the trip. This thoughtful addition enhanced the cultural experience and connected deeply to the region we were exploring. I am inspired to return to the area and continue to explore. If you are joining from Manchester, you can easily access the pickup site from Piccadilly Station. Exit the main doors next to the blind soldiers statue. Head down the ramp to the bottom (Café Nero). Make a hard U-turn at the end of the ramp, cross the bus lane, make another left, and walk along the ground level. Turn left and head under the bridge. The NCP car park will be on the other side of the bridge. Enjoy the trip!

Wonderful Day Trip

Chris, our guide, was phenomenal. He was a fountain of information delivered in a fun, witty and friendly manner. I learnt so much from him. Peak District is picturesque, the little town very quaint and charming. Poole Cavern was wonderful too. Highly recommended!!

Bizarre and unprofessional

Terrible experience! Given postcode is M1 2WD, but don’t get fooled by this, you have to go underground parking which is not this post code. Despite of reaching 30 mins before the tour and relentlessly speaking with the tour operator a family of 4 (includes old people) and a tourist were not able to locate the giant car park. While we asked for number of driver or asked the driver to call us for ease, that was declined and someone sitting in Edinburg was trying to locate a car in Manchester. 30% of tourist couldn’t make it and the car left was the advise. I wonder if there was any real car available! To add in frustration, refund was declined

Driver went to extra effort to find scenic spots for viewing and photos Trip was well done. Liked the cave portion of the trip. Driver added good historical info.

Rabbie's To The Rescue!

We were originally booked on the Rabbie's tour to Wales, but our travel agent mistakenly booked us for the wrong date. When we arrived at the meeting point, a Rabbie's bus was waiting to go on a different tour. When the driver of that tour realized what had happened, he immediately called the Rabbie's office and arranged for us to take a different tour that day going to the Peak District. Unfortunately, we can't recall that driver's name (Morris maybe?), but that's great customer service! Our Peak District driver/guide Chris was fantastic! Very informative and humorous to boot. We enjoyed the tour stops and the cavern tour a lot despite it not being what we had originally planned. Chris even made a few unscheduled stops to give us some amazing views and photo ops! The bus was new and very comfortable. The built-in phone charging stations in each seat came in handy when my battery started dying due to all the photos I was taking. Rabbie's saved us from having a wasted day on our trip - that you Rabbie's!

England country.

First, we had a very good guide, Christ. He made the day very interesting and he is very knowledgeable. He knows our to make his country interesting and beautiful. We had in our group a couple that was always late. Our guide stayed calm and patient. Wow…. If you future clients read this, by respect for the guide and others customers, respect is number one.

Beautiful tour with knowledgeable guide

It's really been in retrospect, after taking the worst tour ever with another tour company out of Edinburgh, that I've come to understand just how well done this tour was and how reliable and valuable Rabbie's is as a company. With these day tours, I'm in it for the history just as much as the views, and on this tour Rabbie's gave me both. This tour left out of Manchester and all along the route, our knowledgeable guide gave us information about the city, the countryside, and each stop along the way, and delivered that information in an entertaining way that was enjoyable to listen to. And I never felt overwhelmed with information. The tour was balanced between offering information and giving us time to quietly sit back and enjoy the scenery. The stops on the tour were well timed to allow us to stretch our legs and break for lunch, as well as take in the views or, alternatively, explore Castleton and Bakewell's shops and cafes. Poole's Cavern was also a super fun stop! For me though it was really the well planned route taken through the countryside that I enjoyed the most. Those views! I highly recommend this tour, and I highly, *highly* recommend choosing Rabbie's for all your tours.

Peak District and Poole’s cavern with Rabbie

Very nice day with tour guide/driver Chris. Knowledgeable and funny and going the extra mile to satisfy his customers. First to Castleton, thereafter to Bakewell and finishing at the Poole’s cavern. Stops in between at Monsale Head and Chatworth. A fantastic day, and a great way to spend a day out of Manchester.

I enjoyed Poole’s Cavern and Bakewell, and was very appreciative that our driver James agreed to do a little detour in to Buxton at the end. I think this would make a better stop than Castleton. James was also very knowledgeable and shared some interesting stories and facts. I do hope Rabbie’s will consider adding a tour to Chatsworth in the near future- it is very difficult to get to it by public transport. Also, a Potteries tour of Stoke-on-Trent. Both of these sites are world famous and I’m sure the tours would be popular. They could even take in a bit of the scenery of The Peaks along the way.

Beautiful English countryside tour!

Country Views and Village Walks

Our driver, Clive, was extremely knowledgable and we really enjoyed all the history and stories he told us. It was well organized with driving alternating with opportunities to walk around nice quaint villages. We saw some beautiful rolling hills from the van. Loved the vegetarian restaurant, Chakra Lounge in Bakewell.

Peak District

Awesome drive across beautiful country side. The view from the Solomon's temple makes the climb worth it... The Poole's cavern is a must see...

Fantastic

Our guide was fantastic! Clive made the journey the best. The countryside was absolutely beautiful. Each little town was also awesome. A good amount of time in each and the perfect amount of time in the bus. My 11 year old and 9 year old really enjoyed it.

Great guide, interesting and pretty sites, affordable price, nice pleasant Mercedes 16 person bus. would happily do it again.

Delightful day trip

A Peak experience!

I had a grand day out. The coach was very comfortable and clean. The tour driver and guide - Duncan was very friendly, entertaining and knowledgeable; I felt safe and sound. The places we visited on the itinerary were interesting and didn't disappoint. We were lucky to have good weather, which is always a bonus. I would recommend using Rabbie's tours and I'm looking forward to more experiences with them.

A Must See!

We went on vacation to the U.K. with another couple in March of 2020. We’re all from the US. We all agreed that, even after seeing all the sights in London and partying in Liverpool, that this tour was the highlight of our trip. The scenery is undeniably beautiful and the tour was a nice low-key look at countryside of England. Do yourself a favor and book this tour.

On arrive à quatre heures... L'heure réservée pour notre visite. Personne nous, a prévenu que le musée sera fermée à l'heure de notre sortie 16.15. £13 pour une visite autoguidee qui ne dure qu'une vingtaine de minutes semble déjà cher mais si de surcroît le musée est fermé c'est tout simplement inacceptable.
