We took the very last boat and it was very peaceful and romantic. We had the entire boat to ourselves and were able to enjoy the perfect sunset for a the excursion.

I thought this would be a...

I thought this would be a full one hour narrated cruise on the lake. It was 20 minutes across the lake to a docking station where some passengers got off for the mountain cog and then 20 minutes back to dock in Lucerne. There was no narration. Not worth the money.

Not worth it when clouds are low. No real views.

Some good views, but no guide, even written or pre-recorded, to tell passengers about what they are seeing.

Best panoramic views of Lucerne

Lovely cruise around Lake Lucerne with panoramic views. Option to depart at Kehrsiten-Bürgenstock, we opted for the round trip. Captain and boat operators very polite and boat very comfortable.

The boat was heated nicely for a cold day outside!

The ride was beautiful, the boat was nicely heated, maybe a glass of wine could have added a nice touch!

Leisurely cruise with a nice view of Luzern

The view of Luzern, the mountains and Lake Luzern on this leisurely cruise was wonderful! The gentle rocking of the boat in the waves allowed me to catch a wink on the way back after a day of walking around Luzern!

Highly Recommend

Great ride, great experience, well worth the price, it wasn't the best weather, but the stunning landscape more than made up for the cold.

Lake Lucerne catamaran cruise

Our 1 hour catamaran cruise around lake Lucerne was lovely. The views were breath taking even on a slightly foggier day! Our children had fun going to different viewing points of the boat & we were able to get some lovely photographs of the area and the mountains. We would definitely do it again! Our children said it was the ‘best day ever!’

It’s okay, not exciting.

The ride was calming. Nothing exciting as such. Finding the starting point was a bit hard for me. No signs show the name of the tour. I had to ask around.

Ferry not a cruise

This is a FERRY! PLEASE DONT FALL FOR IT BEING ADVERTISED AS A CRUISE. RIDICULOUS. There is no narration which we thought there would be because it asks us our language. There is no crew controlling other people. There was so many rude people that stood in front of our window the entire time and blocked our view and took pictures etc, don't misunderstand me, I'm fine with taking a minute to snap some pics but it was the same family and they let their kids run in circles screaming. Have some decency. Wouldn't pay this again ever.

Great views!

This was a great way to see Lucerne via the lake! This is just sight seeing. No commentary, just an out and back on the lake. Boat was clean and nice.

Very relaxing cruise

This is a beautiful ride around the lake. Very relaxing. There is no food service or drinks but they do have machines to buy a snack from. For the low cost of this cruise, it is well worth it.

The catamaran was clean, comfortable and beautiful!! The experience was seamless. Crew exceptional friendly It was overall a beautiful pleasant experience!

Worth the money

It's a good cruise if you don't have much time in Lucerne. We had only a couple of hours so this cruise worked out perfectly for us. It begins right outside the train station.

It was so special to be...

It was so special to be able to go out on beautiful Lake Lucerne and see the mountains all around. The ship was lovely, clean, good views both from indoors and out. Ship crew was very friendly and efficient. This isn't a tour, no commentary but a great experience.

This trip was beautiful but it does not have any information on what you are seeing. It really is more of a transport to take folks to a resort across the lake.

Beautiful way to see Lucerne!

We really enjoyed this sunset cruise! It ended up being one of our favorite things we did in Switzerland. We got to see a lot of beautiful scenery and the ride was very peaceful!

That was my worst ever...

That was my worst ever experience as I have followed the instructions received within the ticket and was in the meeting point earlier than the assigned time I kept waiting but no one has shown up I’ve tried to contact the operator via telephone line, e-mail and never received any feedback, accordingly it appeared to be a waste of time though I had a short stay and n the country and was seeking to utilize my time the best way I can but that was met by lack of credibility also never expected to face such situation in Switzerland !! I used to be a frequent user of this website and did enjoy the trips in some other parts of this world like in Georgia and Greece but with such horrible experiences I can no longer trust to use the service of this website anymore, refund has been requested !

Glorified Ferry Ride

We cruised straight across to the other side, dropped off/picked up passengers and cruised straight back. Not what we were expecting.

This was not as advertised. This was a boat that was part of public transit. I already had a ticket.

Probably would have been good in nicer weather

Non narrated trip on what is essentially a commuter ferry, locals were using it just to get from A to B. Goes 25 minutes to a drop off point then comes back. It was pouring rain (boat is covered) but apparently the Mountain Views from the boat are nice if you can see them, they were totally obscured by clouds. I had planned in advance and already booked so I went ahead and went anyway, I’d say if you’re playing it by ear more don’t take this trip unless it’s nice weather.

It was a very bad experience for us, there was no body to guide us at the cruise regarding the timings, the cruise transfer us to the trolley car, they lifted us up to the palace at Zentrum and within 5 minutes, no people were seen who came with us, we don't know, no one gave instructions to us for holding time at palace. We were really panic, how we will reach back to meeting point as we are tourist It was really a very bad experience for us. You should investigate the whole matter and revert our money back into my credit card. No one responsible to how many persons travel in cruise and how many people back to meeting point, we came back by taxi car and paid CHF 100 . Very enjoyable...

Very enjoyable experience. Would have loved less cloudy weather to fully experience sunset. Sights were still beautiful to view.

Snooze

This is essentially public transportation. It exists for utility, stopping mid-route to pick up additional passengers. It felt like a commuter ferry. It did include sunset, there was limited outdoor seating, and no narration. Calling this a catamaran is TECHNICALLY accurate, but not in essence. This is a large, unglamorous boat.

Nice hour trip across beautiful lake.

Really nice, clean, new and smooth boat ride across Lake Lucerne, would recommend to see the beautiful lake and small homes/villages around lake. Price seemed high. Took boat to Mt Rigi tram.

The cruise was good and clean The only issue was with the weather, it was so sunny I suggest to add an approximate weather forecast on the website to help us choose and set our expectations

Ferry on the Lake

You are on a boat that goes on Lake Lucerne, but it’s a ferry for the hotel burgenstock. If you’re looking for anything other than a trip on the lake I would recommend against it.

Very nice ride

The scenic mountains and shorelines were gorgeous. The Boat was very clean, however don’t expect commentary as there is none.

Very good experience, worth the time spent. A must do activity when visiting Lucerne. The scenery is beautiful.

Great experience

Perfect way to visit Lake Lucerne! Get on board at pier 3 and enjoy the whole scenery of mountains and houses and fields. We did this as a last activity in Lucerne. The whole ride took 55min and there’s no assigned seating. Just grab a good seat and enjoy the ride!

NOT A CATAMARAN!!!!!!

I’ve booked a nice and modern catamaran like it was advertised but instead of this an normal ferry arrived, even if the view was amazing but the first impression was completely destroyed!!!

It was a pretty lake...

It was a pretty lake cruise and relatively inexpensive compared to other tourist options. Not a lot to it, however, and strongly encourage the vendor to add an audio track or live speaker to explain what we’re seeing.

I would totally do this again

This is essentially a ferry, but it's great, truly. It really isn't a tour, just a ride across the lake and back. It's stunning. Amazing views, wonderful to be out on the water, great vessel, and easy to find and board and get to/from the pier. The ticket gets scanned on the Boat so no need to go to the booths in front of the train station. Also, Lucerne/Luzern is incredible and this is a great thing to do while you're there!

Exceptional panoramic scenic views

It was a fantastic experience. The views throughout the 55min ride were outstanding. The cruise took us to Burgenstock and brought us back to the starting point in Lucerne. It was a beautiful scenic route, surely not to be missed if you're in Lucerne.

Bait and switch

There was no catamaran. We didn’t know that until the boat showed up and the crew member says “sorry there is not catamaran today”. it was sold to us as a catamaran tour with English. Instead we got a ferry boat that went to another stop on the lake and retuned back. With no tour commentary or anything at all..

Breathtaking view.

What an overwhelming, breathtaking view and amazing catamaran, we barely felt we were in the water. On the other hand, they let the catamaran and the view speak for itself but they didn’t add anything memorable to the experience, so on my opinion, they could improve that. Nonetheless, the experience it’s still worth doing it.

Gastronomie unfreundlich

Die Bedienung in der Gastronomie war extrem unfreundlich. Hat unsere Bestellung falsch aufgenommen und sich geweigert, diese zu korrigieren. Obwohl wir klar gesagt haben, was wir wollten, gab sie uns die Schuld falsch bestellt zu haben. Weder Tonfall noch Worte waren freundlich! Die Schifffahrt und der Rest der Crew waren sehr freundlich!

Cara excursion

La dirección que te mandan por email para ser utilizada por GPS es errónea. Se echa en falta alguna explicación por parte de algún guía o medio audiovisual. Te dejan si quieres bajarte en un pueblecito en el cual si haces uno del funicular que dura unos 2 min, te cuesta 32€ por persona más los 25€ ya pagados por el catamaran, cara excursión.

Le bateau ne va pas assez loin pour découvrir le lac. C'est plutôt un transport entre deux arrêts. Je recommande pas.

La publicité sur internet est une arnaque

Nous avons l’impression de nous être faits avoir. Pas de guide en francais, alors que la publicité le promettait. De plus nous avons payé 25.- le billet aller-retour vendu sur internet, alors que le prix réel (avec abonnement demi-tarif) est de 18.- et des poussières. Je dois dire que je suis assez fâché. Très mauvaise expérience.
