Fun & Exhilarating experience

We had a fabulous time again on the RIB Thames Blast. Such an great, fun and exhilarating experience with my 12 and 15 year old children. George B and Billy looked after us perfectly and we felt like we were in safe hands the whole time.

Excellent

This was SO much fun, even better than we expected. Asha and John were amazing. Went with 10 and 12 y/o daughters and they loved it too. Would 100% recommend!

Avoid. Poor customer service.

Poor customer service. No compassion for a young child that had a panic attack resulting in our inability to take the trip. No desire to offer a credit, I didn't even want a refund. Company hides being terms and conditions rather than taking a pragmatic approach to a situation. Very disappointing.

Best London Experience!

I have lived in London my entire life and this was by far one of the most fun things I have experienced in the city. Kids absolutely loved it. Have recommended to everyone I know! Asher & George were excellent hosts and captains! Thank you for a fantastic and unforgettable afternoon.

Not our best run

The first part of the ride was lovely - lasted about 20 minutes at normal speed. We got incredible views of the buildings that line the Thames. The next 25 were horrible - it was SO cold and SO fast. Please remember that this is only my opinion (shared by my teen)… the staff were very caring and let us off early at a different pier. The other guests seemed fine.

Really good fun

It was such good fun highly recommend. Went fast all the way there and back and played great music too. We absolutely loved it .

Wow!!!! What an amazing experience. The actual ride was exhilarating and our driver and commentator John and George B, were not only knowledgeable and experienced but made the trip fun and enjoyable. The trip is a must for adrenaline junkies!!! Would highly recommend.

Awesome fun

Brendon and Georgie really looked after us and gave us a thrilling zoom up & down the Thames. Also got a great picture under tower bridge. Highly recommend if you like an adrenaline rush!

Birthday treat for all the family

Fantastic combination of sIghtseeing and adrenaline rush to get our 13 year-old’s birthday off to at great start. Thanks so much to Asher and George for keeping us entertained and safe.

Definitely recommend

This was fantastic and I can’t recommend it enough, it was fun, exciting and definitely felt it was a memorable moment from our trip. The staff were friendly and helpful, the music choice was perfect and we would do again, in fact granddaughter wants this on her birthday.

Absolutely amazing

OMG what an experience it was absolutely utterly amazing. The crew was brilliant Billy & Charlie top crew. Would definitely do it again but take friends & family who've never done anything like this. One again thank you so much for a fantastic day wow.

Absolute blast

We had an absolute blast, the second time we've done it, really made our trip to London we all said it was the best part of the trip. 100% recommend a good way to see the sights and some adrenaline fuelled fun... Definitely will be booking again on our next trip to London.

High Speed Thames Blast

Had a great blast down the Thames to the Thames Barrier with the team at Thames Rib Experience. The two George’s crewing the boat were great. You’ve got to try one of the experiences especially the high speed part getting into the wake of the Uber boats ‘real James Bond stuff’ 😀😀👍

By far the best way to see London from the River, Amazing experiance and great fun.

Wow, what an adventure, we originally booked for an early afternoon trip, but they didn't have the minimum required numbers to run, which is understandable, the admin team rang me and offered an alternate time, which was convienient so we moved to another time slot. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the trip itself was mind blowing. Once we got out of the restricted zone, the skipper opened the boat up to the maximum allowed speed of 30 knots which was perfectly quick enough, put the sound system on and off we went down to the barrier, it was the most amazing trip. I am very familiar with the river and boats, but my girlfriend isn't and she had a big smile on her face the whole time. I would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone 5*

Birthday trip

Very thrilling gr8 music One thing that would have made the trip more enjoyable would have been so commentary on the way back when we had to go slow.

Brilliant fun.

The 40 minute trip from Millennium Pier, under Tower bridge and along to the Thames barrier was absolutely exhilarating. The pilot made it loads of fun. I think you got everything right, I even think the price was good value. 👏👏👏

Good but unreliable

This is a fun experience for sure. We booked with Thames Rib last year to ride the Beast, but with a few days notice, they called to say they had an issue and offered an alternate - the Ultimate Rib. We really enjoyed it but we wanted to try the Beast, so we duly booked in this year. Once again, 2 days notice, the crew were unavailable and we were offered an alternative. Both times a massive inconvenience and involved juggling other bookings, etc. The trip itself was ok, it was hampered by the Thames boat race, which meant a go slow for some of the trip. All in all, disappointing for our family and don’t think I can chance a third attempt at the Beast. It is a decent trip but I wouldn’t recommend planning a day around it.

A must when in London

Well what a blast it was. Well organised. The trip itself fantastic fun and has now made us think that we will have to book this in future every time we go to London

Proper blast down the Thames!

Great trip from the Tower, excellent crew, great views, fab music and exhilarating speed sections out by Canary Wharf to the Thames barrier. The ride was fun, exciting but not scary or too bumpy.

Just fantastic!

Absolutely superb! We did the same ride from Embankment Pier a few years ago and it was brilliant, but this was even better. We had a stressful start, completely my fault, as I assumed the start point was the same as our previous trip. The ladies in the office kept in constant contact with me to help ensure that I arrived on time, I'm so grateful as it was the most fantastic experience for my 13 year old and myself, thank you. Book it!!

Loads of fun

We had so much fun - worth every penny will definitely be doing it again. Just what was needed to round off our weekend in London.

Had a wonderful trip out on the rib boats today! Captained by Chris and comedian level commentary from Barry (very funny guy) My 8 year old absolutely loved it! Our third time back to the same boats Definitely a must when visiting London

A great trip along the Thames. Great soundtrack to an exhilarating ride. Amazing experience especially when the engines open up and full speed kicks in! Great fun for all the family.

Omg what a fun fun ride At first wasn’t sure what to expect but turned out better than I imagined and glad I got the experience to ride on the Thames Rib Dennis and John did an excellent job making it fun and exciting adding music along with the ride….Despite 3 of us missed our original time slot which was 11:15am due to buses running slow but Molly one of the ladies was very accommodating very helpful trying to find another time slot for 2 of us so we stayed our the area and came back at 4pm…Thanks again Molly for not giving up on us kindly appreciated….You are a staff that go above and beyond for the customers and these days that’s very rare 👏🏽 And also the weather was perfect which was a plus. And if am in London again in the distant future I will sure to pay Thames Rib Experience another visit…Loved the vibes from beginning to end Far out guys 🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Most amazing fun ever!

The most amazing experience ever! Had so many laughs, the skipper and tour guide were fantastic. We got very wet but only because it was raining. So exhilarating, we both couldn't stop taking about it afterwards and have shared our experience with friends. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend spending an hour on this little adventure

This was super fun - highly recommend. You board the boat very close to the entrance of the Tower of London. Very easy and quick check in process. You speed down the River listening to some James Bond music and lots of fun familiar music. You don’t get wet and can bring your bags onboard.

Be sure to arrive early otherwise they will leave with out you .

Arrived 2 mins late but boat had already left . Phoned to say we are stuck in traffic prior to the leaving time . They offered no other times or dates to transfer too . Bad customer service .

Absoloutrly pooooor

Most boring speedboat experience. Thames Tigers are better. They make it more fun, and interactive and tell you exactly what’s going on. Rib experience guy stays at the back and just goes straight in to your no speed boring as and not as polite or switched in as Thames tigers.

LOVED IT!!

Probably the best thing I have ever done in London. The staff were fantastic, the boats are awesome and you get to see a totally different side of London.

Will do again

Booked at short notice. Cannot say enough about how amazing the trip was. My daughter who is 8 years old said the trip was amazing. My wife who is not a fan of boats said the trip was fantastic. The commentary was interesting and sometimes funny (sorry barry). Barry was fun and a pleasure to meet. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will be going again on the beast next time. Great fun RIB ride

We have previously been on the Canary Wharf Experience which is a combination of really interesting view / information of landmarks from Embankement and then a short "blast" to CAnary Wharf. This time, we fancied more of the "blast" element and it was brilliant! All the staff were brilliant and the rib ride was such fun! Would definitely recommend to others and we are probably going to do it again!

Really good. Informative apart from Barry’s horrific jokes (only joking - he was a good laugh) snd very very quick during the speed part of the ride. Well organised. Felt in good hands. Highly recommend

Great experience

Did this with friends for my 50th birthday. It was so much fun and can't wait to book again! You get equal amounts of amazing views plus the excitement of a speed boat crashing through the waves. Definitely something for the adrenaline junkie!

Amazing trip for my son’s 12 birthday along with his friends Everyone loved it so much (best part of day, even better than the steak at Gaucho’s apparently!) Great music, fun moves and Jess was a great guide and found my sunglasses that I had dropped at the end :) Shout out to the boat driver as well, we all loved the bobbing and weaving. Recommended

Pricey but worthwhile

Does exactly what it says on the tin A fabulous and fun way to see a long stretch of the river very quickly The boat was was very fast, but also felt very safe too, and the staff were lovely and friendly and informative At £48 each for 40 minutes it’s a bit pricey, but worth it for a one off treat

Fast, exhilarating and exciting from start to finish! Would thoroughly recommend!

My husband and I went with our 17 year old son and had a fantastic time! All of the team from checking in and boarding the boat were very friendly, good fun and easy to get along with. The trip was fast, exhilarating and exciting from start to finish! Fabulous tunes to listen along the way and expert turns/twists. It was so much fun we will be booking again with family later in the year. Thank you for a great start to our day in London!

FELT LIED TOO

I feel lied too. I had booked the 1140 40 blast for the 6th. I was rang by one of the team the day before saying that they will have to cancel my experience as it hasn't met the minimum people . I was dubious that this was true. I was offered the 1100 one. It did mess me about but I felt I had no other options. On the day it was clear the 1140 experience was going ahead. When I asked a member of the team about it, he didn't really know much. A lady in the queue said she was moved from the 1140 experience as well. I certainly feel lied too. We enjoyed the experience.

Great fun on a rainy day!

We booked this ride for last Friday and when the day came the weather was awful, wind and rain, and my husband in particular was adamant he didn't want to go. We went down to the pier and spoke to the team and they were great at reassuring us it would be ok and gave us ponchos etc. Also 3 boats came back in and people looked relatively dry which helped! After all that we had an amazing time, the highlight of our trip to London. It was raining a bit and windy but it didn't matter. It was exhilarating and great fun. We all loved it, particularly my 19 year old son. A great way to see the landmarks along the river - would book another trip with this company next time we visit.

Fantastic speedboat trip

Fantastic boat trip which was exactly what was advertised. Friendly staff who looked after all customers. Lots of fun had and would highly recommend.

Adrenaline fuelled

Great experience. Full of adrenaline my partner wasn’t so keen even though it was for there birthday but they enjoyed it overall once they got over the fear

Unfortunately not able to comment on our speedboat experience, as booked through tripadvisor received a call later in the day from the company running the experience to rebook as it was fully booked :(
