Cotswolds Tour from London with 2 course Lunch

Great trip. Host was excellent and super knowledgeable of English history. Lunch was better then we expected.

Lovely, but too much time driving!

The tour guide and bus driver were very professional, friendly and helpful! The bus was comfortable and clean. Unfortunately there was an accident on the highway on our drive out to the Cotswolds, slowing us down. So I'm not sure if that was the reason why we only had about an hour at the first village, or not. For the second village we had about 2 hours to eat lunch and then get out and walk around the second village, which was very, very small. And then for the third village we also had only 1 hour to visit. Overall, I felt that I wanted more time to leisurely walk around and take in the stunning scenery and also shop in the country shops. There was too much time spent driving I felt, but that might just be all the organizers can due due to distances and geography. The restaurant was lovely and the food was good! :) It left me wanting more, so I will absolutely be back in my own car!

Two courses of lunch is delicious. The view of cotswolds is lovely. However this trip is a bit overpriced!

Cotswolds

Much of what makes for an excellent tour is the trip leader. Karen was excellent. She was interesting, told us what we needed to know without feeling she was an instructor giving a university presentation, and did not talk for two hours straight. Her voice quality was clear and appealing. I enjoyed the day very much. The luncheon was also quite delicious.

LONG BUSRIDE / MEDIOCRE LUNCH , TOO LITTLE LOOK AROUND TIME

Very long busride my kids whom are 19 and 23 found it too long, too little time to look around. Lunch very poor , chicken breast super dry . Swan hotel where lunch was served very nice, beautiful small village with the famous 14 weavers cottages . We left after our main course to have time to walk to the weavers cottage from 1380 and to go to the trout farm across the hotel. Driver Zach and tourgyide Linda got into a loud argument about the route , which I thought was unprofessional. I would rather have visited 1 or 2 of the villages combined with Oxford or Cambridge.

I took this tour on June 7, 2024 with my son, who I took to London to celebrate his 40th birthday. It is a long tour, lasting close to 11 hours, but it was well worth it. The bus took us to Bibery, Burford and Stow, which were all worth seeing. The best part of the tour was our guide, Toby, who was probably the best tour guide I have ever had. He was interesting and funny and just a really nice person, What impressed me was that before the tour ended he went around to everyone on the tour and asked where they were going and made sure that they had directions on the underground to take them back to their hotels. His concern for the well-being of the people taking the tour was very impressive. My son and I really enjoyed this tour thanks largely to Toby.

Good trip to Cotswolds

Cotswolds was excellent. Bibury, Burford and Stow-on-the-Wold are lovely towns with beautiful buildings. Lunch was at The Swan. All said it was a good trip. Our tour director Eugene was very informative and amusing throughout the trip. Our driver Christian was superb at his job.

Must do!!

Absolutely loved this tour 😀 The 3 places we got to see were beautiful. Our lunch was nice. Eugene, our your guide, was fabulous! A wealth of knowledge & a wonderful, sunny disposition. A huge thanks also to our driver, Christian, your driving skills are out of this world!

Great Trip

It was a beautiful place to visit. We had lunch at the Swan and the food and service was good. We enjoyed our tour guide and driver as well.

Fun day away from city

Excellent guide and driver. Surprisingly good lunch at the Swan hotel. Could have skipped stopping in Stow, a let down after two prior stops

Can't recommend enough!

My friend and I had a great time with Alan as our tour guide and George driving. My friend was the one very intent on seeing the Cotswalds and the country side, while I was just happy to be there, you know? But I would up having a fantastic time as well, unexpectedly! Alan was a lot of fun and great when it came to offering stories and information, as well as recommendations for things to see or do on our stops. Lunch was very good- my friend and I both got the raviolis, which were very good. I appreciated that our tour group was served promptly upon arriving in town, so we could do plenty of exploring the shops and streets before re-boarding the bus. Would absolutely take the tour again one day down the line. Definitely recommend you give it a go!

Fun!

Loved our tour guide Tom. Great way to see and learn! Lunch was great too. Having a guide that’s knowledgeable and whitty makes it that much better.

Will never book again.

Horrible company. They called me to tell me they wouldn't wait four minutes for us when our train got delayed. Do not use premium tours.

A glimpse of "old" England.

This is a trip to the countryside (about 2 hours from London) to see the old, historical Cotswold. The houses are well preserved its like going back hundreds of years. The lunch was served in a very nice hotel surrounded by gardens and river.

Picturesque

The three villages are gorgeous. Skip the lunch. Ours was at the swan hotel and the food just wasn't good.

Stay in London and Ride the Bus There

We’ve all seen the beautiful photos of the tranquil, idyllic Coltswolds. Here’s what I wasn’t expecting - nearly 8 total hours on the bus, getting off the bus as other buses filled with tourists (and cameras) pulled into our first stop, Bibury. From the bus stop we were able to walk thru town and in the immediate area which was so crowded it was impossible to get a good photo. Back on the bus. Stop two was lunch. It was tasty but we wouldn’t really get to enjoy it as we waited for 48 people to be served. Even rushing thru lunch we had very little time to see the town. We asked our tour leader for extra time but there was no time in the schedule. Stop 3 was more of the same. Very little time to explore before we were back on the bus for a traffic-filled crawl to London. I wish I saw more of these beautiful towns beyond the immediate area where the bus stopped. Way too much time on the bus and not enough time with my feet on the ground. Bus was less comfortable than most airline seats and had no power outlets to charge phones.

Great time in the Cotswolds

Toby, our guide, was kind, funny, and full of fascinating historical facts. Carlos, our drivers was incredibly skilled at maneuvering both through London and the congestion and small streets in the Cotswolds. Lunch was very good, and all the villages charming. I would 100% recommend this tour.

Awesome and quaint area.

Beautiful old town scenery with a touch of how people lived back in those days. Glad the government mandated that every home maintain a sense of commonality.

Poor Organisation and Lunch

Overall, it was a good experience, but there were two notable disappointments: the lunch at Swan Hotel and the time spent in Bibury. For lunch, we were offered Chicken Breast or Vegan Ravioli, both of which were very tasteless. Most people left their food on the plate. The two dessert options, cheesecake and pudding, were similarly unsatisfactory. Nearly everyone disliked the taste and found them disappointing. The lunch experience was quite poor. Secondly, we had only 1.5 hours in Bibury, including lunch, which was very limited. Given that Bibury is the most beautiful village among all the ones we visited, this was disappointing. In contrast, Burford, the last village we visited, didn’t have much to do. Due to these two issues, I have given the experience 3 stars.

Good Overall

Tour was good overall. Great deal of time spent sitting on bus FYI given distance but also traffic. Lunch was average but interesting visiting some quaint villages. Overall, worth it.

We had an amazing time exploring Bibury, Burford, and Stow-on-the-Wold with Karen as our guide. Karen's wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm, and friendly nature made the experience truly unforgettable. The coach ride was great, Alan was a good host plus George the coach driver got us there and back safe. The scenery was fantastic. Lunch was great also. Recommend

Cotswolds with lunch

Our tour guide Alan and coach driver George took great care of our group on a very rainy day. Alan was funny, and kept us laughing the whole way. He shared great bits of historical trivia along the trip. The towns of Bibury, Burford, and Stow on the Wold were perfectly postcard worthy, even in the rain. While the tour description online said we would have lunch at the Swan hotel, we ended up going to a different restaurant but it was lovely and delicious. Alan was very efficient and asked everyone to choose their menu items whilst on the coach bus. He called in our orders ahead of time to ensure we all had our lunches ready, which gave us more time for sightseeing. Very efficient! We would definitely book again. This tour was with Premier Tours. Be sure you get to the meeting point early at Victoria Coach station. It was incredibly crowded with multiple tours all waiting to board their coaches. All in all, highly recommend this tour if you enjoy English countryside vistas and lovely villages with lush flower gardens.

Nice scenery - poor guide

The tour of the Cotswolds from London was nice. We were picked up right on time and everything ran according to schedule. I recommended a similar tour that included Stratford- upon-Avon to some folks we met on our recent cruise who were staying in London after the cruise. The stops were nice, even though we didn't see exactly what we'd expected. I would hope for a different guide if I were to ever take this tour again. Our guide made us feel somewhat like we were children who needed strict instructions. She did not seem at all enthused about what she was doing and that lack of enthusiasm seemed spread to the participants on the tour. We started the day with excitement and were feeling differently by the end of the day. Lunch was okay (not great), but we needed to rush through it to be able to see the village. The hotel that hosted lunch was very pretty. I've read some glowing reviews from others who were likely there about the same time we were with a different guide. The guides can make all the difference.

Cotswolds Day Out

Phenomenal day out in the Cotswolds, even with the weather partly against us. Our guide, Alan was engaging and very informative-had us laughing half way there. Made it a very nice day.

Cotswolds Amore

Just spent a wonderful day courtesy of Premier Tours - Lunch at the prettiest village in Britain at the Cotswolds. A delightful getaway during our trip to London to see the countryside villages of Cotswolds. Our adventure began in Burford village visiting the shops and having tea and breakfast desert at a quaint bakery. From there our travel led to Bibery, “the prettiest village in Britain “. A 2 course lunch was at the cozy Swan Hotel. Final stop for us was at Bourton on the Water, a quite lovely village of shops pubs, and eateries of all sorts. Our tour guide,Nicholas, was wonderful. To Nicholas: There once was a guide named Nicholas Whose humor would ofttimes tickle us. He was gracious as gold on the trip to Cotswolds The info he shared quite ridiculous. (a lot) HATS OFF to Silvious, our “chauffeur “ who drove with skill and aplomb - “da bomb”. Would highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful tour

Nicolas was an amazing tour guide! His knowledge on the history of England was spot on with a humorous twist. Silvis drove the bus as if it was a regular car in the narrow streets of Cotswold. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting London. Thank you for the great experience!

Long day of repeats

This tour is everything that is advertised. We had nice weather, and the tour group (generally) were well behaved and on time. The tour guide was generally well-informed and interesting. (Minor details of her English history were different than what I was taught, but then I was educated in the US.) If you want a nice relaxing day out of London, this tour is good for that. The problem is that we stopped at three villages, but one village was basically the same as the others. Since I know little about this part of England, the tour was educational and interesting, but that was the first part of the day and the first village. Afterwards, the last two villages were generally repeats. On the other hand, the lunch was very good and thankfully we ate at the second village. We had only one village to go before returning to London. It is a long day, and it was nice to see the English countryside.

Cotswold - a great experience- worth it.

The tour was relaxing, picturesque, educational with lovely group of participants. The tour guide Nicholas was so full of knowledge and witty, with a personal touch for all. Sylvius, the chauffeur was very skilled and we felt very comfortable with his expert driving skills. Will definitely consider another tour with Pemium Tours for our annual holidays. I even got 2 leather handbags, and a denim jacket and mum jeans. Good quality from Cotswold. Items I was looking for a whole now.

Cotswolds at their best

Nick, our tour guide and Christian, our driver were fantastic. The places we went were just the kinds of places we would want to see and included a lovely meal. We never could have put this together on our own. We were delighted.

Charming wonderful day!

Ava our tour guide was wonderful. She was so personable with everyone on the tour. A shout out to Paul our bus driver for his safe and smooth driving. This was a awesome way to see countryside England. The luncheon at the Swan hotel added to the charm of the day. My husband and I very much enjoyed and highly recommend this fantastic tour.

A fun day in the country

The dream team of Nicholas (tour guide) and Robert (driver) made for a fabulous day in the country. Nicholas was full of interesting facts on every subject, he told some good jokes to keep us entertained and he was very obliging in helping us when we stopped, be it to happily take photos for us or give advice on what was in the town and where to go. Robert was a driver extraordinaire in the way he effortlessly navigated the narrow country roads and got us there and back on time.

Cotswold is beautiful

It was very nice to get out of London and see some beautiful places in England. It was a relaxing tour with good food. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. You definitely want to make sometime to see this area.

Good tour

Our guide Nicholas and our driver Christopher were fabulous. Disappointed we couldn't go to Stow in the Wold due to a bike race, but we stopped in Bourton in the Water which was a cute town.

Could’ve been much matter

The places we visited were very beautiful but we felt that the whole trip was a little bit rushed, the guide was a little bit uninterested and less jovial than should be and the food was totally unacceptable. Really not worth the amount of money paid.

Worth it!

Tour guide, Nicholas, was knowledgeable, funny and interacted well with all guests. He even walked to the back of the bus - where we were seated - to ensure that he engaged with us. The trip was well worth it. The 3 stops were each unique with charm. Lunch was pleasing in a cozy and charming restaurant. I am really happy we booked this tour.

Day Trippers

We enjoyed our tour into the idyllic English countryside. Our guide Alan was funny and informative. The lunch at a local restaurant was tasty as well. Lots of shopping opportunities in the 3 villages we visited.

I enjoyed the stops, but...

I enjoyed the stops, but they were very similar... nice but similar. The guide was a lovely lady but wasn't clear in delivering her knowledge often going back, repeating and self correcting information. Also they say they will drop you at pick up point but didn't (was a better stop for me but not others)

Great trip to Cottswald

Nicolas was excellent and very informative. The driver was also excellent. And the food at the restaurant and Cottswald was very good. I would highly recommend Nicholas and his tour company.
