Snorkeling Day Trip To Lembongan and Penida

10/10 experience

We went to 3 different areas for snorkeling and saw manta rays, a turtle and loads of tropical fish over the reef, the water was soo clear, it was beautiful. I’m not the strongest swimmer but the your guides made every effort to keep everyone safe and offered life jackets to the weaker swimmers which I opted for and while in the water there was 3 guides looking out for everyone and had life rings in case anyone needed a rest. The guides videoed most of the tour on go pro and also took photos of us with our phones which was great. After snorkeling we went for lunch which was a buffet, it was great local food and was very well prepared and tasty. We also opted for the kayaking option which was soo nice to kayak around the water forest!

Tragic, no first aid equipment

It was tragic. Non swimmers put in the water in rough conditions, non speaking Japanese. Sadly young lady drowned and there was no airway first aid on the boat. No support for the guests after such a tragedy. We did CPR but couldn’t save her. Was just dreadful, no debrief after, nothing. We opted to finish tour and head to our hotel

I am very disappointed...

I am very disappointed with this operator for the following reasons:
 - The advertised price is more expensive than other tour operators, but with an advertised excursion time of 9 hours, whereas the all-inclusive tour lasts 5 hours like all the other tour operators. Under those conditions, I wouldn't have chosen this company. - On the day of the outing, they took us to the programmed dive spots and told us on arrival that there were too many waves today, that it wasn't their fault and that we couldn't dive. They're sorry and drop us off at uninteresting spots. Back at the hotel, we asked about the conditions so that we could go diving again, hoping that things would get better, and all the people we asked told us that the conditions hadn't been good for 4 days and would last for several more, and that they refused to take tourists, knowing that the conditions weren't good in advance. So what I've learnt is that the tour operator used is very good at what it does and deliberately lies to its customers. I bought the tickets the day before for the next day, so there's no excuse.

Disappointing

This was a disappointing experience. I wish I had done more research before booking to know that the groups are big, and we are all dumped in the same spot of water, group 'leaders' shouting for everyone to look down at the manta rays but so crowded that you're constantly getting hit by adjacent swimmers. They pulled us away 10 minutes later because "the mantas are scared, too many people". Off to the next snorkelling spot where you got 10 minutes, and same again for the last spot. The kayaking part is just off their base and is short loop through the same section that the snorkel boat takes. More than that, zero communication before / after / in between activities so we had no idea what was going on. Activities were finished by around 2pm and boat is at 4pm. So all in all this was a 13hr day (7.15am - 8.15pm) for around 40 minutes snorkel time and 15-20minutes kayaking. Will look for alternative providers next time!

2nd time I have been and it was amazing, the guides are great and we got to see many Mantaray and turtles , we were thrilled . Thank you again

Amazing snorkelling trip with great staff

We went to see the mantas with lembongan watersport and it was an amazing experience. The staff was incredibly thoughtful and caring. We were always safe and informed and they helped my friend when she got seasick. Great equipment, great team, great experience. We saw 6 mantas, 2 turtles and amazing corals and fish. Also the pictures and videos they took on the trip and underwater were amazing.

Below expectations

We went on this tour to see special fish. First we went to the Manta Bay. When we arrived there already were a Lot of boats. We were in the water water with around 80 people. We didn’t have space to swim around. When you went to a quiet place, the guide called you back to the group, so you had no freedom to snorkel. There is no guarantee to see mantas, but under these conditions, there is no possibility at all. After that we went to two other spots, there were no other boats, but our own group was still to big with about 50 people and again no freedom to snorkel around. After snorkeling we went kayaking. The route was 500 meters in dirty water and you had to turn around again, same way back. Do not recommend this trip!!

Great day out in the sea

Everything was well organised from pick up to drop off. The three spots for snorkeling all featured different highlights (manta rays, turtles and coral reef). The buffet lunch was nice and as solo traveller I was lucky enough to be in the kayak with the guide and got to know some interesting information about the mangroves. As a lot was cramped into 5 hours it felt a bit rushed but this was expected.

Amazing day!!

Absolutely amazing! Loved my day! We were lucky enough to see multiple manta rays! Those guys know the spot. They even take pictures if you like some! We did two mores snorkeling spot after Manta Point. Lunch included (delicious buffet) and a little kayak tour to conclude the day! Absolutely to book!!

Amazing day trip

The guides were really friendly and also serious about safety. Snorkelling was amazing - saw plenty of manta, a dolphin and even a turtle! Lunch was tasty and provided a number of options. The kayaking was short but a fun way to end the day. Pick up and drop off from hotel was smooth. Would 100% recommend this trip!

20 minutes snorkeling for $200

This was a terrible experience. We were charged an extra $90 upon arrival to the island, only for us to spend 2 hours on a boat and spend a maximum of 20 minutes snorkeling. Staff were completely unhelpful and rude, refused to compensate in any way. There was myself and my partner as well as a group of 10 who also expressed our disappointment. Do not recommend. Spend your money elsewhere

Long waiting time

Everything was well planned but do not take this snorkel trip if you want to spend the day snorkelling. We only went to 3 points and it lasted 20-30 min each so not really the time to enjoy to me. The afternoon will mainly be waiting time at the restaurant. The good point is that we saw mantas.

Worry free well Organized

Well Organized tour from your hotel to ferry and snorkeling sites and good lunch ,island tour and back to your hotel .worry free..very nice stuff and equipment

It was my first ever snorkeling but the guide made it safe and easy, i saw 6 huge mantas and enjoyed kayaking after snorkeling, I definitely recommend it and will do it agin

Amazing snorkelling with Manta rays

Excellent day trip with Wayan Ana and his team. Very entertaining team, ensuring a great and safe experience. The snorkelling was amazing; clear waters, colourful fish, a sea turtle and an awesome session with Manta rays! Getting there from Bali mainland takes a while and the speedboat transfer feels quite exhausting. The ventilation in the speedboat was not great and we had 45min waiting time on the speedboat before departure. Yet, overall I would repeat the day trip definitely again! Thanks Wayan Ana and team :-)

Great

Was a great trip the boat had good shade, buffet lunch was delicious, got to see the Rays. All in all a great experience.

Top tour

Had a lovely time with the crew here gave us a very in depth tour of the area and saw some mantas, was a bit choppy but not their fault at all helped us when the sea sickness took hold!

Loved every second of the trip, saw SIX manta rays , our guides were amazing, Putu our guide was amazing 10/10

Our guide Putu was amazing, truly felt like he knew exactly where to go to see the manta rays, we saw SIX manta rays and spent good time with them. Would recommend this to everyone coming to bali or nusa penida. 10/10

7 Manta Rays!!!

The whole experience was beautiful from start to end. This might not be as cheap as the other snorkeling tours but the money is completely worth it. We paid $40 per person and ended up seeing a whopping 7 manta rays! Food and Kayaking was included in the package as well. Special Shout out to Indira and Putu for being such cool hosts!

Awesome fun and great value, a must do !

Amazing trip. From the moment we booked online it was really well run. We got picked up on time at our hotel and taken to the ferry terminal where the friendly staff had everything organised and provided free waters on hot day. After getting off the ferry on Lembognan the set up is brilliant. Walk through the restaurant where you leave your bags in safe lockers and straight onto the snorkelling boat out the back of the restaurant, so easy. Then the boat crew who were professional and great fun and great with kids brought us out to see the mantas and other amazing snorkelling spots. Very well run and great value. Its a must do !

Big waves and jellyfish

The sea was rough that day, probably because it's rainny season. It was a bumpy ride to go to the snorkeling spots from the mangrove, it was a little scary. We felt rushed, the captain was driving fast. The brought us to a special spot more far away because manta bay was not a good idea that day and we actually were able to swim with mantas. The buffet was good, everybody there seemed to have paid the same price (about 50 CAD), the kayak in the mangroves was not really worth it and we got unlucky because there were many jellyfish at the other spots, so we didnt snorkel that much but it was good anyway.

Nice view into the submarine life

Good experience and friendly staff. Especilly the last spot with drift snorkeling, gave a lot of good underwater experiences.

Day trip snorkelling @ Lembongan

This was a great experience, complimentary pick up from seminyak hotel with smooth boat transfer from Sanur. Guides were excellent and enthusiastic, whole experience felt super safe! 3 snorkel locations with some manta rays and fish. Lunch was included! Next time I would choose island tour instead of kayaking the mangroves as it was hot and tiring after the snorkel! Great holiday memory!

Snorkelling luck - Manta Ray at Manta Point

Memorable experience because we got to snorkel with Manta rays. First couple of snorkel sites had a reasonable 'drift' & was overcast - so also not really alot of sea life, however we did this trip to the same place in October in 2019 & water clarity & sealife was abundant.

Wonderful day snorkelling!

Wonderful day snorkelling! Well organised, great value for money, particularly that it includes pick-up and drop-off at your hotel, 3 snorkelling sites and all snorkelling equipment. Staff were all very helpful and knowledgeable. Didn't get to see manta-rays, but swam with dolphins and saw turtles and thousands of fish of every different colour and species. Would highly recommend!!

Fantastic option to snorkel from Nusa Lembongan to around Nusa Penida

Friendly staff, simple but yummy food, fantastic value for money. Not over crowded. Really peaceful and beautiful snorkelling around the islands. Nusa Lembongan resort pick up much appreciated. Just a note- this is snorkelling at Manta Bay, NOT Scuba Diving at Manta Point- so no Manta ray guarantee. But the fish and coral are beautiful. And the mangroves are fun!

We loved it

We loved the trip. All was well organised. The guides were very friendly and helpful. The food was really good and served at a beautiful location. The 1st snorkelling spot was unfortunately crowded and dirty. Bad visibility. But spot 2 and 3 were beautiful and we could fully enjoy the snorkelling. All transports and pick ups were on time.

Great value for money! Mantas, fish, coral, lunch, kayaking & transport!

Had a fantastic day which started with the pick up in the morning, a welcome drink at the harbour, meeting the others in the group & taking the ferry to Nusa Lembongan. It's a wet landing (wade ashore) & there bits of broken coral under the sand so I recommend wearing Reef Shoes for the landing & the walk out to the snorkelling boat. We were given flippers & a snorkel then we were off to a spot to see Mantarays. Our guides were Wayan & Putu who were very helpful & professional. The Mantarays don't have a schedule so you need to be a bit patient but when one arrived to feed, it was awesome to see it gliding through the water so close to us! After that, we all got back onboard & went to a couple more spots for snorkelling where we saw colourful fish & coral. Then it was back to the island for lunch. After lunch, we got into kayaks & paddled down the river shaded by mangroves. Bring about Rp300,000 if you think you'd like to buy a video of your day unless you have an underwater Gopro & can record it yourself. Local minibuses will take you back to the harbour to board the ferry & when you arrive back on Bali, your driver will be waiting to take you back to your hotel. I highly recommend this day trip!

Professional and well organized day trip

Good and well organized day trip. Very friendly team, good and tastefull lunch, nice snorkelsites and friendly guides. Recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxed day. Already the day before the trip friendly chats about the pick up location

Great service, awesome experience, and value for money.

Communication prior to and during the booking was excellent. The pick up was on time and very comfortable. We loved the activities, and snorkeling was a great success. Saw many different kinds of fish, coral, a sea turtle, and manta rays. The gear was in decent condition but could use some upgrades (but everything was working in good order). The kayaking portion of the trip was fun as well. The food served is traditional balinese cuisine l, so be prepared if you are a picky eater. It is really worth the cost and an excellent way to mingle with others in the group.

Amazing experience, highly recommend!

Amazing day out where we saw manta rays, corals and fishes. Crew was attentive and hardworking in making sure we had a good time! Lunch was yummy and the paid for photos and videos were worth it!

Amazing

Excellent day out with the crew! The package is very very good value for money, the company is extremely professional and ran through all the safety protocols for everyone. The service and vibes were amazing and all the guides could speak very good English. Our guides gave us the option of going to another spot to hopefully see the manta rays and it definitely was worth it! We got to see about 5 big ones and it just made the day, plus sea turtles.

Day to remember

From pick up to drop off we were looked after by the staff. The food was lovely. Snorkelling was outstanding at times and we were surrounded by colourful fish. The mantrarays were in hiding, so our guide decided to take us further around Nusa Penida where we found massive mantrarays. As a bonus we could see dolphins on the boat ride. The islands rock formation was unexpected and surprisingly beautiful . The mangroves were okay but not our cup of tea

With caution, you'll have a great time!

Unbelievable snorkelling spots - probably the best I have ever seen. Very competent guides who were constantly monitoring all guests and were attentive to those who were distressed in the water (which were quite a few who had never snorkelled before + the swell at manta point and the strong currents are no joke). However! - If you don't know how to snorkel, this trip is not how to learn. They don't fully explain how to use the snorkel. They do not show people how to prep the mask so it doesn't fog. They do not show people how to use fins. If you practice all of this yourself beforehand, you will have an incredible time! Warning - if you cannot swim, do not book this trip. My tips: 1. If you plan on snorkeling on holidays, invest in a quality mask and snorkel. It's a game-changer and mine have lasted 8 years. 2. Go snorkeling in "Blue Lagoon" first, then do this trip. You'll get a lot more out of it. 3. Ask the guides for anti-fog (they have some but don't offer it) 4. Wear a long-sleeve top and shorts for snorkelling. Literally everyone else got burnt. 5. Check the weather forecast before booking. Google "Nusa Penida Sea Weather" and the first link will show the best days to go out highlighted in green. Do not book on an orange or red day if you are not experienced.

Great experience with great team

I loved this experience! Pick-up was punctual and easy, with a fun little buggy truck coming to pick us up from our resort. Once we arrived to the HQ, we were offered drinks and fitted for our snorkelling fins. We had great instructors - who went the extra mile to ensure we got to see manta rays and made sure everyone was looked after while snorkelling or kayaking. The lunch buffet was a delightful surprise - very yummy. Overall, an excellent day and the half-day option is great to ensure you can relax and enjoy the rest of your day without being too tired. Highly recommend!

Great experience!

We had the BEST experience here! I highly recommend, our guide Putu could also not have been better. He was very professional and energetic, making sure everyone in the group was safe. We also moved to a different, better, location than planned due to the fact that they have internal contact about where the best place is for that day. We have seen many mantas and turtles, an unforgettable experience with literally no negatives.

Had a wonderful experience on our snorkelling trip! We were lucky to see several manta rays and even some turtles. After getting off the boat we were served a delicious traditional Indonesian lunch. Couldn’t recommend more!

We had a great time and seeing the manga ray was awesome. Felt safety was important all along the way, which is important when snorkelling at sea. We saw manta rays and it was amazing. Can only recommend.

Good

The driver who picked us up was very kind. When we arrived we needed to wait for the rest of the people. We got drinks and breakfast. There were a lot of people that morning... when we arrived at the manta stop, we were very lucky to see 2 manta's and 2 turtles. Unfortenatly the manta stop was waaay to busy... It was good to get a panic attack. All those people in wild water and so many boats. Anyways, we liked the snorkel spots but everything was so rushed, everything needed to happen very quickly. When we got back, we also did the kayak tour but we would recommend doing it by yourself instead of a group. The buffet was very nice and good! Overall it was ok, but a little too busy and rushed...

Mostly good but dangerous ending

Good snorkeling over coral. Kayaking was harder for me and we got left behind. If my son's hadn't been in another kayak, the organisers wouldn't have realised we weren't back. It was lucky my husband was strong enough to get us back, as they would have left us and we would have had to get help from other people on the water. Shame because good trip otherwise but that was dangerous and could have been avoided by checking up on everyone and even just counting the kayaks back in

Too expensive for whst ist offered

Trip was OK chosen Places we're average Kajak Tour without explanation Just paddeling one Direktion and back . Lunch was good. No further Drinks. Just one smal bootle of water for whole trip. That is Not enough. They trip only lasted four hours Not five Last hours was waiting time for Pickup

Beautiful views but in a rush

You get to see really beautiful coral and fishes however the tour seems to be like it’s in a hurry, you go to 3 spots and each of them stay around 20 minutes, so personally I wouldn’t do it again but I don’t regret the experience I just wished you got stay longer in the ocean rather than being in a rush

Great tour - excellent guides and exploring the beautiful coast of surrounding islands.

The staff were super efficient with regards to organising the group, talking through the activities and ensuring we all felt safe. I took along by 75yo mum and whilst she was the eldest on the tour, she felt included and supported to partake in snorkelling with the turtles. We also saw Manta Rays too! “Sweetie” was our favour guide and was a laugh a minute. The lunch buffet was yummy and the kayaking was interesting and not too strenuous. Transport to/from our accomodation also easy to navigate. Highly recommend!

A perfect morning of snorkelling

Well organised, felt safety was a priority, trip leaders were experienced. Lots of colourful fish and coral. We didn’t see any manta rays but that’s because there weren’t any around at the time. We did get to see a moray eel, which my son was super excited about. The only negative was that we didn’t stay very long in any of the snorkelling spots. Would have liked a bit more time but understand that it is busy. The kayaking was okay - the kayaks are very durable, which is good because we bumped into mangroves and other kayaks a bit! The food provided is fine and there is an opportunity to buy a video and photos of the experience, which is great.

Great snorkelling experience

We had a great time on our trip, although the sea was too rough at manta point so they didn’t take us there, so we didn’t get to see any mantas. But we were taken to an extra reef spot and at all 3 stops we saw amazing fish and coral. We even saw green turtles. At one of the stops there was lots of other boats and tours so the water was crowded, but that’s to be expected when on a tour, you can just swim around people and find a less busy bit of water. The buffet lunch was very nice and a good selection of food. The kayak trip was a nice touch but was short and didn’t really feel needed.

Like swimming in an aquarium

A fantastic day. Unfortunately we weren’t able to swim with the manta rays because of the ocean conditions, but our guides were amazing and took us to 3 other beautiful sites to snorkel. We saw a beautiful array of fish and corals, and even saw some turtles! Finished our day with a kayak in the mangroves which was a bit of fun. Definitely worth booking, would highly recommend.

Great snorkelling trip

Great snorkelling trip for our family (2 adults + 3 kids aged 16, 14 and 10), we saw manta rays, turtles, dolphins and so many different types of fish. Good timing as didn't take the full day. Buffet lunch great too. Would definitely recommend!

Great snorkeling trip from Bali to Lembongan

The 3 snorkeling sites, including Manta Bay, were fantastic. The last one (Mangrove Point, I think) was the equivalent of the Great Barrier Reef. The staff and equipment provided were great. Transport from our accomodation to the Port and back was very comfortable.
