Spectacular scenes, amazing guide!

The view is spectacular, and the walk up through the jungle is awesome! Even though we could only make it a little over halfway to the jeep spot because we weren't feeling very well, the experience was incredible! Our guide, Jatayu, was super amazing, he was very accommodating and caring and took some amazing photos and videos for us, and cooked us breakfast when we stopped at the jeep spot. We will definitely be doing (attempting) this again when we come back!

!! Amazing !!

We had the chance, my father and I, to be guided by the amazing Jatayu for this first trek and sunrise of mount Batur… It’s a memory my father and I will cherish forever. Not only Jatayu was nice and sweet but he understood we were in good shape and not afraid by some effort and gave us the sweat of our life 🌋🧗🏼‍♂️🎆🌚💦. He also provide us good material : bottle of water, headlamp, walking stick (wich was reaaaaally helpfull in steepy slopes) and placed us at a really good spot (since we arrived faaar before sunrising). We had the chance the sunrise was amazing 🌅🙌🏼 and discovered afterwhile that Jatayu kindly took some extra films and pictures of us that we weren’t aware of📸🫠. He also guided up to the top for extra amazing views and good explanations of the history of the volcano. Was he done yet ? Of course not… Why walking peacefully down when we can run, right ?? 😂🏃🏼‍♂️🏔️✨. Thank you so much for this adventure 🙏🏻🫶🏼🙏🏻.

Great Experience

Great Experience! Unfortunately, the clouds/fog prevented a good view of the sunrise. Our guide Tana did a great job taking care of us for the trip, he was very knowledgeable with a great sense of humor.

Sunrise trekking with Kliwan

We went for Batur sunrise trekking with Kliwan. He was a great guide telling us some interesting facts about the local farming and volcanic activities. Once we reached the peak he took care of us with hot tea, coffee and breakfast. Kliwan also takes great pictures and chooses best spot for sunset so trust his advise After sunrise he has shown us other side of the mt Batur where the sunset trip afrrives, he was even up to running down with us! 10/10 can recommend to you this trip with Kliwan!

Beautfiul viewes, amazing tour guide, 10/10 experience

The views were beautiful and our tour guide Tana was amazing, he answered all our questions about the mountain, the hike and even unrelated topics that interested us. He also took a lot of nice photos and videos about us. Refreshing experience, would recommend to anyone who would like to explore Mount Batur and is not afraid to move a little.

Sunrise Mt Batur hike with Bagus tours a must do when in Bali

We had a great experience with Bagus tours and highly recommend them for anyone thinking of doing the mount Batur sunrise hike. Bagus tours pick you up from your accommodation and can tailor the tour to what you want to do after the hike, they are very flexible. We decided to take the jeep and hike from half way up Mount Batur, our guide Ady was awesome, very knowledgeable of the area and a veteran that's been taking people up and down the mountain for many years. He was very patient and would go at our pace and also give us a helping hand on the tough parts of the hike. I would highly recommend Mangku Suryady as your guide! Also want to give thanks to Adiguna who was our driver that picked us up and dropped us back to our accommodation, he was very friendly. Thank you to both Adi's and Bagus tours!

Mount Batur with Carik

First of, the view deserve to be seen. The ascent is not that hard and with 3 checkpoint if you need to rest. You get a walking stick during the ascent which make it even easier. At the end, just before sunrise you get a breakfast make by your guide. That breakfast is comforting. Now I want to talk about the experience. We were with Carik as our guide. He knows every single details to make the best out of any action during the trekking. The timing was close to perfect to see the sunrise. And among everything Carik has a talent for photograph. He did photograph, video of us that are beautiful. Also one more thing about Carik : I lost my glasses during the trekking and Carik manage to find it. Awesome Experience

Thank you Jata for being an excellent guide and being patient with me for the climb. It was challenging yet highly rewarding to reach the top. Unfortunately it was too cloudy for a sunrise view however the climb down provided stunning views. Jata also takes the time to get some great photos which was an added bonus. Highly recommend the tour and Jata as guide.

Breathtaking views

The sunrise trek was absolutely amazing! The hike was easy and our guide Donn was the kindest! We were so lucky to have him. He explained us so much about the culture and Batur. He also took great pictures. The views were breathtaking and the breakfast was delicious! Since we were next to Batur Lake we asked in advance if we could stop at the Pura Segara temple after the hike. They made it possible and this temple was beautiful with no crowd at all. And lastly our driver Aedi who picked/dropped up us up from our hotel was also amazing! He was kind and very punctual. He also explained us about the history of the Segara Temple. It was overall a very memorable experience! Thank you so much!

Great experience!

We booked the private sunrise trek for our family of 5 - 2 adults and 3 kids. Our guide, Jata, was a soft-spoken, patient and gentle man, and took especially great care of our youngest 8yo daughter. He was holding her hand for many parts of the trek, which was a warming sight. Jata also has very good photography skills! He took some amazing photos for us, leaving us with great memories for this trip. We had a great experience, thank you Jata!

Epic views and experience

Absolutely incredible from start to finish. The experience was fantastic because of our guide Jatayu! What a legend! He helped my 7 year old up the steeps bits, made it fun and was the best guide EVER. He was great to talk to, super friendly and knowledgeable. I will request him when we do it again.

Great views, helpful and supportive guide

The hike was fantastic, really amazing experience especially thanks to our guide Tana! The views were amazing and Tana helped to take some really amazing photos of us both. Tana also really helped us get up the mountain safely and we really appreciated the personal support on hand in the dark when going up (it can be quite loose under foot with some larger steps required up bits of the rock). The transfer arrived on time and we got there without any issues. Highly recommend this private tour!

Lovely hike!

I enjoyed the view at Mount Batur. Jatayu my guide was very helpful with some of the difficult parts of the mountain to navigate and helped me to take lovely photos and videos. If you are looking for a creative cameraman on Mount Batur he's your guy 👍

We had a class time with our tour guide, Tana, who was exceptional in every aspect. He was very knowledgeable and really added to the whole experience. I would recommend this trip to any considering.

Wonderful Experience with Friendly Guide

Shoutout to Jata our guide. He was friendly, patient and ensured our safety throughout. He was also an extremely professional photographer, directing us on how to get the best shots. We took the Seronga trail up and Black Lava trail down. Highly recommend this route as you get to see something different on the way down.

Great adventure

Thank you to my guide Jata for his guidance and information sharing. During the activities, safety was truly key. No one was left alone. The energy was high from start to end. I truly enjoyed myself. Truly a highly recommended adventure. Everyone has to try it. No regrets.

Excellent hike not to miss!

This was the highlight of our trip to Bali. Our driver met us at our hotel (Ubud) as advertised at approx 2am, and took us to the meeting point where we met our guide for the trek, Tana. The whole trip was fantastic. The hike up is a little challenging but Tana was super helpful at setting our pace and giving us opportunities to pause and rest when needed. It took us approx 1 and 1/2 hours. We reached the summit just before sunrise and were really lucky with the views. We then circled around the summit and trekked back down to the driver waiting for us. Overall, a brilliant experience and would thoroughly recommend it. As long as you are relatively fit, the hike up and down should be fine but obviously just bring a hat / sun cream / jacket etc, the usual necessities. Great trip and thanks Tana 👍🏽

5 stars for BAGUS and guide Gede

Gede was our guide and my partner and I had a wonderful time. He was so positive the whole time and always offered to take wonderful photos for us! Recommend to anyone who is moderately fit or above - it is not an easy walk but definitely worth it when you see the view at the top. Incredible experience with an awesome company.

Exceptional experience

Kliwan was a caring and helpful guide. Climbing up to the mountain was challenging but once I reached up all tiredness gone away and looking as mesmerising sunrise was very satisfying

Jatayu funny guide

Couldn’t be better, our guide was Jatayu. We were welcomed with some extra water. On the hike up, he was patient with us and we got a more quiet spot to see the start of the sunrise with our breakfast. Then we went a little bit higher to the busy part to see the sun above the mountains. He was very funny and took nice pictures of the group. He showed us some extra spots early on before it got too busy!

Highlight of my Trip

Glad i booked this! By far a top three experience in my life. Landed Tana as my guide and he was great. Not only did we get a good workout in but also had great conversation along the way. If you haven't book already, then do so.

A great experience and very rewarding. Our guide Adi was amazing - friendly and supportive all the way up. The volcanic steam at the top was a nice surprise!

Best thing to do in Bali!

This hike was one of our favourite experiences whilst staying in Bali. The pick up and transfer was super easy and the driver was lovely. The tour up the mountain was incredible. Our tour guide was called Jatayu and he was lovely and very informative. He took the hike at our pace and did everything he could to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. He also took some great pictures! Highly recommend this tour and tour guide.

Amazing experience!

My girlfriend and I had the most amazing time on the sunrise Trekking tour. We were very fortunate to have Tana as our guide. He took great care of us and knew all the best viewpoints for sunrise. The views from Mount Batur were incredible and Tana made the morning all the more enjoyable! We were also picked up and dropped off at our accommodation by the driver who was very helpful and friendly. Overall I'd highly recommend this tour and having Tana as a guide!

Amazing guide and a photographer

Our guide Tana was really great. He gave us all we needed to make the hike and let us set the pace. Once safely on top, he gave us coffee to warm up and told us the history of the volcano. The pictures he took of us were stunning, he has great talent. The trip down was also enjoyable and he answered any questions we had and was very engaging. I would definately have him as a guide anytime again.

Was okay

Although we couldn't see the beautiful scenery due to the weather, it was definitely worth the climb. Our guide was less friendly at first, but gradually opened up to us and helped create good memories. One downside was the lack of headlamps. Most other tour groups had headlamps, but we were only given flashlights. For someone like me who is new to hiking at dawn, it was very inconvenient to move while holding a flashlight in one hand. On the way to return to the hotel, We fell asleep on, and it was too hot because the driver turned off all the air conditioning and opened the windows wide. It was probably to save gas, but it was too hot and I almost became dehydrated. The end was disappointing.

A 5 * experience!!

It was a 5 stars experience from picking us up to make it to the top of Mount Batur. The driver and the guide were very professional with great knowledge and experience they make us feel very safe at all times. Our driver was Wayan and our guide was Tana.

Mt Batur jeep+hiking combo

We booked the private jeep tour + hiking to the top for 2 people. Waking up at 2.30am is never a nice experience but was def worth it! The transfer then the jeep brings you half way and then there is a further 45 min to walk to the top. Be prepared though the walk up is not easy on sand like lava stones. So take the walking stick offered by your guide. The sunrise and the view from the top is great. It was busy when we did it but I guess that's the downside of any popular activities in Bali. What made the experience great though is definitely our guide Gede who was super friendly and was a great photographer ! Many thanks.

Mount Batur Trekking During the Day

We decided to do the Mount Batur trekking during the day and not for sunset. We didn’t want to do the early morning hike in the dark and the company was very flexible in providing us with a tour guide at the time we wanted to hike up. Our guide was YON and we had an amazing experience! He was very friendly, welcomed us with water and accommodating with our pace. The best thing is that we had the entire mountain top to ourselves. We hiked around 7:30 and when we got to the top only had monkeys to keep us company. YON provided us with coffee and breakfast and stayed with us until we wanted to come down. Overall amazing experience!

Jata the Best Tour Guide

We had such an amazing time doing the Mount Batur Sunrise Hike with Bagus Tours. Our guide Jata was one of the most sweetest, friendliest people we have met on our trip and he really made the experience special for us. He made sure everyone was hydrated and to slow down or stop if anyone in the group got tired. Once we got to the top he cooked us a delicious breakfast and even surprised us with his fantastic photography skills. He was extremely warm and caring, he shared so many personal stories and we had so much fun running down the mountain with him. The driver was also very punctual and patient and he took us to a coffee plantation tasting which was another nice and fun activity. This was really a once in a lifetime experience, possibly our favourite in Bali, thank you to Jata and Bagus for such a great time! We will remember you Jata, thank you for making our trip so memorable. We definitely recommend the hike to anyone else visiting Bali!

Dream Tour!

The tour was absolutely amazing exceeded all expectations. Our tour guide Carik was a legend! He gave us a lot of interesting information along the way and took some epic pictures and videos for us! Made the experience that more memorable thank you again!

Amazing views from a moderately challenging hike.

The hike up Mount Batur starts at 4am and takes about 1.5 - 2 hours with a total ascent of about 650m The terrain was gradual at first before becoming slightly more challenging. The last 100m of ascension was very rocky with loose gravel. A hiking stick and good shoes are a must. The views are spectacular on top as the sun rises. A windbreaker is recommended as it’s quite chilly at the peak. My guide was Dul and I can fully recommend him. He was very polite and encouraging. He prepared banana sandwiches, a chocolate bar and a boiled egg for breakfast. He also provided a bottle of mineral water (500mls), a hiking stick and a headlamp at the start of the hike.

The Best Bali Day Tour!!!!

We contacted Bagus Bali Sunrise Trekking to see if we were able to tailor our tour. We opted for the Mount Batur Jeep & Trekking, followed by the coffee plantation & Tegalalang rice terrace & swing. Our tour also included hotel pickup and drop off. We were picked up promptly from our hotel in Ubud at 3am by Ari, who was our driver for the day. We drove to the base camp, where we met with Gede, who drove us in a jeep part way, where we proceeded by foot. Gede was the best trekking guide and he was super patient helpful in navigating the terrain, keeping us laughing and motivated along the way. He took the most awesome pics of us and has made the day unforgettable!! Definitely our highlight for our Bali trip! Following the Mount Batur trekking and rice fields, Ari drove us to the coffee plantation & rice terrace. Ari was great, answering all our questions along the way. Overall the best planned and most organised tour in Bali!

Sunrise mount Batur

Awesome experience from start to end! From being picked up by our driver Erick from our villa (who has been hiking the volcano for years) to meeting Donn the best tour guide on the trek, everything was perfect! Donn only 24 years old had been hiking Mount Batur since he was a kid and had so much knowledge about the volcano and the surrounding area it was a huge plus having him! Amazing experience, superb guide

No words - simply amazing. This is my second volcano and it’s just as magnificent. Tana, our guide was super helpful, patient and kind to lead us up and down our hike - even gave us the freedom to choose the trek we preferred to take. He took the time to explain to us about the volcano and consistently made sure we were doing alright through the hike. There should be more guides like him. 10/10 would do this again!

Awsum experience!!

It was an amazing experience !! It was cloudy on top but the overall experience was all worth it !! Walking up the uphill in the darkness of night was awsum !!! I am a person with very moderate fitness, hence took little longer than others but overall I am proud that I could reach the top before sunset and the guide was extremely patient and very very helpful. The inclination was steep and last part was pretty steep so anyone planning, be prepared.
