Kind, honest and helpful

Aaru was the kindest person! He truly went above and beyond, not only did he take us on an excellent tour, he also helped us with other tasks that we asked about such as a place for a hair cut and medicine. If you want a tour with an honest man, Aaru is your guy!

Fort Kochi Tuk Tuk ride

If u really want to explore the nooks and corners of fort kochin , I would suggest you to take tuk tuk from Aaru. The entire trip to fort Cochin was adventurous and funny with the help of aaru .

Some interesting parts, but watch out for the unnecessary 'cousin's carpet shop' etc ...

Aaru was punctual and there were bits of the tour that my husband and I really enjoyed: seeing local life: the making of pappadums from scratch, the making of sambol spices and visiting an old wash room/service. We also visited the Kerala Folklore museum which was interesting. However, in the afternoon Aaru started to take us to places where it was all about getting us to buy things: e.g. his cousin's carpet shop, and then a spa for Ayurvedic massage which we hadn't asked for and didn't want. He declined to take us to places that we would have liked to have seen: e.g. palace and Jewish quarters and once it became clear that we were less than happy, he reported that 'his time was up' and we left him in the centre of the Kochi Fort. Not the best, and I would not really recommend him.

Great Guide

We met Aaru when shortly after arriving in Fort Cochi. We had some great trips with him before traveling around the rest of Kerala. On our return to Fort Coch we grabbed him again. Fantastic guide. Really knowledgeable, Aaru will safely and reliably take you off the tourist trail, so that you get to see some amazing places. Prepare for lots of laughter! I've already been back in touch to hook him up with family members keen to visit Kerala.

Aaru is one of a kind - the only proper way to see Kerala!

Aaru was the beat tour guide turned friend I have ever had. He made my sister and I’s Kerala trip absolutely amazing. He is a one of a kind gentleman and knows how to read the room of what we wanted. He made sure that we were comfortable and happy the entire day. I had a cough and he went above and beyond to not only offer but stop to get natural medicine to help me. He knows everyone in town and with good reason. He is so incredibly likeable, warm hearted, fun, adventurous, kind, smart, charming and easy to be around. It felt like we had known eachother for years. He is incredibly emotionally intelligent and skipped all parts that didn’t interest me and instead was flexible and customized the tour to focus on parts that I loved. I would reccomend him 10/10 to anyone looking to get a real taste of Kerela like never before. I wish I could take him everywhere on my trips!!

Best driver/tour guide of Kerala!!!

Best driver/tour guide of Kerala! I can't recommend him enough. He took care of us and of our little daughter driving and taking us to anywhere. He suggested things to do, tips for any interesting site, giving us his friend's contacts for other cities and best rates. Polite, smiley, good English speaking, I would definitely call him again if back to Kerala.

Lovely tour with Nishad

Nishad picked us up from our hotel and took us to all the sights on the list, plus a couple of extra ones which he thought would be interesting. We asked to stop at two other places en route, he was happy to oblige. He gave us shopping and eating tips, was friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. He answered all our questions and gave us great information on the sights and Fort Kochi. Great spoken English and a great guy. Highly recommend.

Aaru was our reliable happy professional tuk tuk driver over the 2 weeks holiday in beautiful Kochi during this month January ‘24. Aaru planned the journey details of every place we visited once my sister and I had chose the destinations. Aaru is very attentive, funny , with a quick sense of fun. Aaru was never miserable or sad always upbeat. Every new place we visited all the attention to detail was covered making each and every trip magical and stress free. My sister and I will never forget the great times we have endurered over every year we have visited beautiful Kerala. Aaru has always been on hand to provide the marvellous experience we have received, without any mishaps or stress situations, along the way. With everything running smoothly due to Aaru’s persistence is prime to feeling comfortable and safe while travelling around Kerela, especially off grid, around the exciting Jungle areas we have visited. Aaru’s , caring, kind , and honest personality with his knowledge of India along with the trust we have with Aaru he comes highly recommended. Aaru is an excellent guide. He took us to so many amazing places and we experienced some wonderful things. Aaru is very kind and considerate and my sister and I felt very relaxed with him. Aaru has an awesome personality and made us laugh a lot and he speaks perfect English as well as some others languages.

We went by auto rikshow of Shoaib who is very cooperative , with good communication skill , explaining all places very nicely. Must go if you are history lover of kochi

Before I have problem I face some problems but aaru was a very helpful and he very well take care of me.3 days am with aaru he show everything. He helping me for buying the tickets. Local knowledge informative guides

Thank you for showing us lots of interesting sights including candle making, historic laundry, churches and much more. You helped us to buy specific Tshirt gifts and local crafts at fair prices. The drivers were very informative, helpful and courteous. Just one thing....the spice warehouse was a bit pricey for some things e.g we bought handmade soaps and later found the same thing at a women's cooperative shop for less than half the price. That said it was a great way to spend our last afternoon in Kerala maybe Include the women's cooperative shop up from Bloom Waterfront on your trips as the owner was very funny too!! A wonderful packed tour with a hilarious and helpful guide.

Aaru was a wonderful tour guide and took us to so many unique locations that showcased the history, culture, and color of Fort Kochi. Aaru is also genuinely funny! Bonus points if you understand Malayalam and can pick on his hilarious dialogues with the many people you'll come across on the tour!

Harris is a great guide!

We were fortunate to have Harris take us on our tour and he is a lovely man who listened to what we wanted. He allowed us time to take photos and he took some lovely photos of us. We asked to walk along the harbour and he thoughtfully arranged where to pick us up. His English is excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour and highly recommend Harris as a guide. I would thoroughly recommend this tuk tuk driver. He gave me a few rides around Fort Kochi while I was here on my own. He is knowledgeable, has excellent English and is not such a crazy driver as some!! He also has some great recommendations for Ayurvedic treatments. Plus he is reliable. Would use him again.

He is the best! He helped me so much, he took me from my hostel until the door of the train, helped me to buy the ticket with local price, explained to me about everything and even bought me a chai! I am female solo travel and i felt very comfortable with Aaru. Recommend of him with all of my heart

Good value for money and really helpful man

Aaru was really helpfully. He contacted us before we arrived to confirm the tour and offered to collect us from the airport for a very competitive price which we gladly accepted. He also organised a very reasonably priced taxi to transfer us to Alleppey. We had one and half days in Kochi and we explained we wanted to see some of the main sights. He took took us to a good variety of places and we really enjoyed our tour. He speaks good English, is very chatty and has a good sense of humour. We stayed in Fort Kochi and perhaps could have easily got to many of the sights independently, however booking this tour allowed us to use the time efficiently. We moved between the sites quickly and we were able to see local trades eg the flour mill, spice packing and laundry which we would not have visited independently. The tour says it is half day, however when you book you get his services for a full day. We felt this was very good value for money. You will get asked to visit his shop and a couple of other shops. We were also strongly encouraged to go for massage. I had planned to have a massage so this was not a problem but was not keen on shopping. If you don’t want to shop or go for a massage then you do need to be assertive and strongly say no. If you do this you will have no problems, albeit we really enjoyed the perfume and incense shop where we were able to purchase some small cheap gifts for family. We had plans to visit a vegan cafe for lunch which he was happy to take us to. He is happy to tailor the day to your requirements.

Finest guide and driver

Aaru is one of the finest guide and driver I have had on the many trips that I have taken across this country. He is punctual and very careful about details. He'll take you around to wherever you want to visit and if you don't have an idea, he'll build the itinerary for you. His prices are also very reasonable and if you ask him for a particular place, he'll make sure to take you there. I will definitely recommend him.

Highly helpful

Aaru helped me during my 3 days stay at Fort Cochin. He put all his energy to find solutions: I was looking for a special gift in wood, he called several people to see if they have it before going to the shops. It helps me not to waste time. And he also advised me a good doctor for my cervical pain. A really special driver, very pleasant to speak with and friendly.
