Fantastic tour around Kerala

A great 5 day experience. Our driver was very knowledgeable about the area, and gave us suggestions on places to stop to see various sights. The accommodation was fantastic, a two night stay in a peaceful resort with loads of activities and even an infinity pool was just the icing on the cake. The food also was excellent, we opted to take advantage of the local cuisine options but every place we stayed had a lot of flexible menu choices. All in all a great week I’d recommend to anyone wanting to explore Kerala.

A great way to see Kerala on a short visit

This is a great way to experience Kerala if you don't have long. Beautiful food, scenery, wildlife and people! We were only in India for a week, so wanted to make the most of our time and see something of the countryside as well as Kochi city. Our driver was very helpful and friendly, although we did occasionally have to call time-out on squeezing in yet another attraction! The Western Ghats is a spectacularly beautiful area, and there is lots to see and do. Although I had read some sniffy reviews of the Periyar boat trip included here, it was amazing, and we saw elephants, wild boar, gaur, buffalo and sambar, and lots of birds. Don't expect to have the backwaters to yourself on the houseboat, but our driver and chef were both first-rate (delicious food!), the boat was lovely and it was a relatively peaceful way to explore - make sure you check out the smaller side canals and the towpath if you can!

We booked a 5-days tour with Sanguine Holidays. We had a great time, mainly because of our driver Jaison who was very nice and friendly. He did all the sightseeing with us and drove us to all the places. All the hotels that are booked by Sanguine Holidays are perfectly located in a very beautiful surrounding, super clean with very good service and food. In general everything was always clean, even the car at all times. During the day, there are a lot of activities that are possible. We would suggest checking those (and the amount of expenses) before doing the trip so you can plan your day with the help of your driver. The houseboat tour at the end was also a great experience, the food again was very good, you even get the chance to buy fresh fish and do another tour with a smaller boat through the backwaters, which we highly recommend.

Amazing way to see Kerala

What a fantastic experience! Travelling from Australia, I booked with Sanguine Holidays for my first trip to Southern India. For the cheap price I was expecting the bare minimum but I was blown away. Firstly, our driver Anil was fantastic. He accommodated all of our needs and requests politely and gave us excellent advice and instruction throughout the entire trip. He recommended great experiences that we would not have known about otherwise. He was also incredibly flexible in accommodating any changes we required throughout the trip. He is one in 'A-nillion' Secondly, Nimisha was out booking agent. She managed to get us tickets to multiple experiences that would would not have been able to get as international tourists. She made contacting hotels and resorts very easy and handled all of our additional needs at each location. Amazing first overseas trip with the best tour guide!

I booked this trip from Australia, & was a little bit nervous sending my money to an unknown company overseas, but Nimisha at Sanguine was absolutely fantastic! She talked me through every aspect of our booking & tailored the whole week around us & what we wanted to do & see, & our budget. Our guide, Anil, was an absolute legend, too. From the minute he picked us up, he was so friendly, funny & very informative. He made sure we had everything we needed, even when we didn't realise we would need it! An absolute gem of a man. We stayed at lovely accommodation, had really delicious food & got to experience some amazing things that we couldn't have done on our own. This trip was my first overseas trip, & I could not recommend Sanguine Holidays enough. They even helped us with things like booking railway tickets in another part of India before our tour started with them. A glimpse of Kerala

When you read the reviews of Sanguine Holidays, you'll wonder whether the multitude of compliments and highly positive comments can possibly be true! We can assure you, they are! Sanguine Holidays is a highly reputable and efficient company, and Nimisha and her colleagues deserve all the plaudits set out by the many satisfied customers whose trips she has organised. Our trip was 5 days/6 nights. We spent a day and night on a very comfortable houseboat (Blue Green) cruising the backwaters from Alleppey - the Captain even took us to Alleppey Beach so we could see the beautiful sunset. Then our driver, Sree, took us to Thekkady, the journey made more comfortable by Nimisha upgrading our transport to a sedan. We were booked into the Abad Green Forest Hotel in a Jungle Room for two nights- the hotel was very clean, with the rooms beautifully laid out in the immaculate gardens, the food and restaurant service were excellent, and all the staff were very courteous, polite, helpful and, overall, charming. Sree then took us to Munnar, where we stayed for two nights at Rivulet Resorts. Once again, the hotel was excellent and the staff treated us so well, from the amazing welcome to our final goodbye. The food was very good and beautifully served. The activities at Thekkady and Munnar were fantastic, including the trip on the lake at Periyar Reserve to see the animals coming to drink in the late afternoon and the whole-day jeep safari where we didn't see tigers but we did meet some of the indigenous people who still live in the area, which was a real privilege. In Munnar, we travelled into the Western Ghats, took another jeep safari to amazing waterfalls and visited the tea museum, the spice garden and the flower garden. We were so pleased that we had the opportunity to meet Nimisha before we travelled back to Poovar Island in the south of Kerula so that we could thank her personally for her amazingly efficient organisation of our tour, including checking that all was in order before our arrival at the hotels, notifying us of any changes to our train timetables to and from Trivandrum where our journey began, and being available whenever we called her, regardless of the time of day! Don't hesitate to travel with Sanguine Holidays - our itinerary was planned together with Nimisha's excellent guidance and knowledge so that we really saw what beautiful Kerala has to offer.

A fantastic way to explore Kerala

We did the five day tour of Kerala and would highly recommend it. It's a great way to see a lot of the sights of Kerala, which saves time on organising and planning the trip yourself. The highlights of our trip were the the jeep safari in Munnar, an elephant ride in Thekkady, visits to the tea factory, spice garden and the Folklore Museum in Cochin (which was exceptional), seeing a Kathakali performance and traditional martial arts show, and the overnight houseboat trip in the waters of Allepey. The hotel in Munnar is absolutely exquisite and the staff were amazing. There are lots of free activities available there and I recommend making use of them. I had a henna tattoo and we enjoyed the infinity pool. The only downside was our driver who was rather miserable. We nicknamed him Mr Grumpy! You also cover a huge area of Kerala, so there was a lot of time spent driving up hilly mountains. If you get travel sick, be prepared! We were fine but some people may struggle with the windy roads. On the whole, it was an absolutely fantastic experience and one we will remember for years to come. Nimisha is very professional and will always ensure you have the best experience. Nice views of Kerala but upgrades necessary for best experience

Firstly I will say there is a lot of time on this tour spent driving from one location to the next on very twisty roads, some quite bumpy. If you get car sick (like my wife) this might not be the trip for you. Please note that all the places you stay are Muslim run so do not serve alcohol. Your driver will take you to buy it on the way and the hotels don’t mind you drinking it in your rooms. We did not have the best of starts to our trip. The first car did not have working AC and on a Sunday there were no garages open to get it fixed. Cochin in March is so, so hot you really need AC. Nimisha organised a fresh car and driver by lunch time. This driver, however, spoke very little English, and his driving was nuts, and we are used to Indian driving. His car’s AC barely worked and his car broke down on the way to Munnar after three hours driving. The drive to Munnar is just over four hours long. The resort we were taken to was beautiful, Rivulet Resort. Due to the problems we experienced with cars and drivers Nimisha had upgraded our room at Rivulet, which was very much appreciated. The food, views from our room and people were just beautiful, we will go there again. We ate there in the evenings and had room service one night where we ate on our balcony overlooking the lake. This resort offers a list of activities during the day, however, there is no time to enjoy them as your day is full of sightseeing with your driver. Day 2 we had our 3rd driver and car, this time Mr Thampi took over and he was excellent and his car had great AC. The day was spent driving through acres of Munnar tea fields. This was what we had come to see so for us it was amazing. We did some of the recommended extras like two cultural dance and martial arts shows and the local massage. On reflection we should have gone back to the resort hotel as the day became very long and the resort has some amazing free activities we would have liked to have done. The local massage was a big mistake. My wife booked a two hour massage and the girl did a very bad job. She was dropped off by our driver so she was there on her own. The massage is completely in the nude and twice the masseur girl left the room with the door unlocked and turned off the lights. My wife felt very vulnerable and quite frightened so she asked to leave early. Day 3 is a three hour drive to Thekkady and the next hotel Merryweather. This was not as nice as the first and the hot water was a bit hit and miss but it was clean. We didn’t arrive to the Periyar Tiger Reserve until 2.30pm so realistically all you have time for is the boat ride. This was nice and we were told we were extremely lucky to see 3 elephants in the distance (no tigers) but water buffalo, dear and birds. Day 4 is a four and a half hour drive to the house boat experience at Alleppey. This was both good and bad for us. The gentle cruise down the water is beautiful. You can see the local old ladies fishing and doing their washing in the waters. The food on the boat is good and so are the three staff that are there with you. Our boat, The Sreepadam, however, was not so nice. The chairs were all dining chairs so were uncomfortable to sit on all day. There are bench seats along the sides but not comfy for long. There were no cushions so we used our bed pillows. We took them out of the covers so not to get them dirty. The pillows were black with mold spots. The weather was extremely hot but manageable when the boat is moving and you have a breeze. You moor up for lunch and then again at 5.30pm for the night. The AC is only in the bedroom and doesn’t come on until 9pm and goes off at 6am, so we were roasted from 6 - 9pm. We were offered the upgrade option for AC all day as my wife’s legs had swollen in the heat, but when we arrived at the boat it had not been upgraded, even though we were happy to pay the extra. The boat was in no way a deluxe. The mosquitoes come out in the evening so we had to sit in the downstairs dining tv area as this can be enclosed, so it was a sweaty evening. When we went to bed my wife saw big cockroaches coming into the bathroom through the extractor and they were also in the bedroom. In the morning we found them in the lounge area as well. Not a nice experience. Day 5 is a shorter ride back to Fort Cochin, one and a half hours drive. We had already seen the sights so we asked our driver to take us for lunch then to our hotel. He was an excellent driver, however, his English was limited. As with all three drivers we had the English they know is enough to get you through the sights but little more. We would have loved to ask more questions but they just didn’t understand what we were asking. It’s important to appreciate this tour is with a local driver with poor English and they are not educated tour guides. I would recommend asking for upgrades in all the hotels and the boat and paying a bit more for a better experience. Nimisha tried her best to solve our issues with the cars and drivers. If we did this tour again we would be looking for a higher standard of hotels and boat (apart from Rivulet as it was beautiful) and the use of a proper tour guide. As a result unless you’re on a strict budget I do not have the confidence to recommend this tour.

Some Peace after the chaos of the big cities

From the beginning of the planning stages, until being dropped off at the airport, the experience was amazing. Nimisha was our contact at Sanguine and always responded quickly and completely. We were able to meet her during the course of our tour. Very sweet and capable. Our drive Roy Joseph was an excellent driver and able to answer any questions we had and was flexible with how we chose to spend our days. We covered a bit of territory and discovered beautiful parts of Kerala. The Houseboat was one of my highlights and we loved staying at Tall Trees. I would highly recommend this tour with Sanguine Holidays.

Amazing Kerala experience!

My 23 year old daughter and myself (her Mom) had a wonderful experience with Sanguin travels with our 5 day/4 night package to Munnar (2 nights), Thekkady (1 night) and Alleppy (1 night on houseboat). Nimisha took excellent care of us (2 female travellers from US) with upgrades to an Innova and also to a beautiful suite at Greenwood resort in Thekkady. The houseboat experience was also unique and it was lovely to see the beautiful sunsets, birds and eat the tasty food. Our driver Anil Kumar was a very safe driver and drove slowly on the mountainous roads. All in all, we had a lovely time thanks to Sanguin tours!!

Wonderful family trip to Kerala

We had a great experience in Kerala, with the tour! We are a family of 4, with 2 adults and 2 teens, and everybody enjoyed the trip greatly. Our driver, Mr. Vipin, was a very nice companion and guide, and he had good advice for any occasion, while being very flexible with our contradictory wishes :) Accommodation was great, food was very nice, lots of elephants, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Definitely recommend Sanguine travels! Nimisha was super responsive and gave great insights and helped us with building a customise itinerary based on our requirements. She also did frequent checkins with us to check if we were enjoying the tour. We did 2 days at Munnar, 1 night Thekkady , 1night Allepy house boat and 1 night kochi. The driver - Shibu was really awesome! He was super helpful, took interest in showing us various sights, clicking pictures recommeding restaurants that were hygienic cost effective and had good flavours! We did various activities jeep safari, martial art shows, spice plantations, tea museum etc all providers recommended by Sanguine travel were really great! What an amazing trip! Nimisha and the team were so helpful from the outset creating a completely bespoke itinerary for us. We were able to make review several accommodation options to choose the best for us as well as being offered many activities. The highlight for us was Coffee and Pepper home stay which had its own spice garden and delicious home made food made by George and family. We also did the river cruise and saw wild elephants which was amazing! Our driver Sumesh was so friendly and talkative which made our long journeys fun. A brilliant experience from start to finish we would 100% recommend to anyone - thank you!

Excellent tour experience

This tour was an excellent way to explore beautiful Kerala. Each day had the right mix of travelling, sightseeing and relaxing. Our driver was great and the car was roomy with good a/c, he also factored in the specific things we wanted to see. Nimisha also went above and beyond helping to organise a special dinner one of the evenings. The houseboat was also a highlight. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore Kerala.

It was enjoyable experience, but please request a comfortable car with a driver that speaks basic English.

This is an honest review. We usually plan our own holidays, but somehow, we struggled to do that with Kerala. That is why we decided to book an organised trip. Namisha was ever so helpful. She sent us the itinerary well in advance to give us time to adjust the trip however we wish. We did not know much about Kerala and therefore we just went with what was suggested by Nimesha. It was a 5 days trip, but depending when you are picked up and dropped off, you may only have anywhere between 3-5 days of actual trip. Be warned, this trip only pays for hotels and driver, everything else is paid as extra! These day to day activities were organised by the company and most of the time it was worth it, but there were quite a few hiccups on the way. Trip to Munnar was OK, but we wished we did some trekking, which was difficult due to the itinerary. The itinerary included visit to tea plantation/museum, but we were only taken to tea factory. It was OK, but again I think it would have been better to actually walk around tea plantation with a guide. Trip to Thekkady was a waste of time, to make most of it you must arrive there at around 9am! Houseboat stay was the highlight of the trip! So relaxing, staff was super nice and food was good. On the way back from the houseboat, make sure to visit Marari beach and definitely go to Fort Kochi and walk around the place – make sure you check the attractions well in advance as some places of interests are closed on Fridays and Saturdays. We only had about 2 hours there, which was not enough time to enjoy it. My main issue with this trip was the car/driver. Due to vastness of Kerala, you will drive anywhere between 2 to 5 hours to reach your destination. The car was an old Suzuki with uncomfortable seats and most of the roads were very rough, so the drive was very uncomfortable. The AC was rather weak, but temperature was luckily manageable. There were no seat belts, which is a safety hazard. In hindsight, we should have highlighted these issues to the main office, but we were worried they wouldn’t be able to find a better replacement. Our driver spoke very little English. Apart from asking him what time he will pick us up next morning, we were not able to ask him any questions. We have done some trips with drivers before and we had established some rapport, which makes the trip much nicer, but with our driver it was not possible Because of lack of communication, we have wasted one day by going late to Thekkady and Tiger Reserve. After spending 4 hours on the road, we only manage to spend 1.5hrs on the boat in the Tiger Reserve. We wanted to go earlier, but our driver said “only the boat at 3:30”. We assumed that we did not have earlier entry and thus he took us to the hotel. The boat cost us 2000 rupees. It was a waste of time and money. If you really want to spend good amount of time in the reserve, you must arrive there at 8am. Mind you – you cannot walk there freely without booking a guided trip. On the last day, we used Nimesha to communicate with the driver, something we should have done from the beginning, but also we would not need to do that if the driver spoke some basic English. When you book your trip with this company, make sure you get a good, comfortable car, with good AC and a driver that speaks some English to communicate better.

This company is amazing and planned our tour to perfection. The driver, Belmin was superb and the price was great for what was included. There is a lot of driving but it is so worth it as the scenery and experience is outstanding. We will definately use this company again if we return. Hotels were lovely, cannot fault it.

Great trip

We had a very good experience in Kerala. Our driver was excellent and would highly recommend the trip. We could have done away with Thekkady as the resort wasn't that great. But otherwise very well organised trip!

Exceeded expectations

This was a great trip showcasing the beauty of Kerala from the tea plantations to the national forests and lowlands rice patties. The highlight was meandering down the tributaries in a houseboat. Overall the driver was excellent managing the challenging traffic and hairpin twists and turns. The staff everywhere was caring for our safety, very courteous and helpful. The hotels were good and food was fantastic.

It is enjoyable, you can see wonderful tea farm, spices, waterfalls, elephant ride, etc. However, difinitelly needs a car. I went to Munnar from Cochin with a car driver name Shihab. This trip gives you an opportunity to see Eravikulam Park, Periyar Reserve and Backwaters all in just a few days, a few gorgeous places around Kerala, absolutely worth seeing. The driver that we were provided was super professional (very important for the heavy mountain traffic in Kerala), and the provided hotels were top quality. Please keep in mind that the driver that they provide is not a guide — so most of the information about the places could be limited. If you are interested in this particular bit of the experience, you may want to contact the tour operator about it and doublecheck, it could also depend on a driver.

A great way to see Kerala

A really enjoyable tour with Sanguine Holidays. We booked from UK and found Nimisha a delight to deal with. The car was comfortable, our driver Vijeesh looked after us perfectly (as well as taking some great photos), the hotels, the Leaf Munnar and Merryweather Thekkady, were excellent as was the houseboat from Blue Greens House Boat ( we had 2 days for added relaxation and were pleased we did). Great experience with Sanguine Holidays visiting Kerala

Great communication and organisation by Nimisha both before the trip and while on the trip! I would recommend Sanguine Holidays to make your experience hassle free in Kerala. We had an excellent driver named Achu, he was very friendly and helpful and happy to adapt the trip to suit our needs. He was an excellent driver and very patient with the crazy traffic and drivers. You cover a lot of miles during the 5 day trip to Munnar, Thekkady and Alleppey. The scenery is beautiful, lovely tea plantations, waterfalls, graduated terrain and beautiful wildlife! The accommodation was varied and wonderful, such great options. The staff went out of their way to welcome us and nothing was too much trouble for them. There are many optional extras and I managed to miss that I needed to book the boat trip at Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary on the third day, I tried to book it on the first day and had difficulty booking it on their website. Nimisha came to our rescue sorting this for us, she was excellent! Sanguine Holidays is a great option if you are visiting Kerala and you want to see a lot in 5 days in a very stress free manner. Sanguine Holidays really look after you!

DO IT!

In India, my husband and I spent 6 days in Kerala and 3 days in the Delhi/Agra region. We are so happy that we spent the majority of our time in India in Kerala. I have fallen in love with it via this tour. Delhi and the surrounding cities were lackluster. We didn't find much joy in the Taj Mahal after we visited Kerala, because we knew India had so much better to offer. The five days of this tour were astounding. View after view after view. The scenery was everything! Nimisha, the business owner who organises the tour for you is really friendly and made the whole experience seamless. She checked in with us regularly before and during our tour. She also helped us to organise other travels outside of the tour (we needed an extra night at a hotel because we landed late at night and Nimisha facilitated the whole thing). Our driver, Mr Rajesh was a very kind man and facilitated a relaxing atmosphere throughout the trip. If we wanted to go shopping, or try certain foods he was able to find great places. If we wanted to stop the car to take in the scenes, we were able to. At first, he was very quiet but after we requested more commentary, he really engaged us with his wealth of knowledge. So don't be afraid to speak up if you want more or less commentary. Also, the fact that we had a local driver, protected us from a lot of harassment from vendors and he was able to do the talking if we needed help. A lot of the day is spent driving because the state of Kerala is huge and you really cover a lot of distance, but the days are balanced with the afternoons packed with activities or rest and relaxation (your choice). The scenery along the whole trip is breathtaking- especially when you leave Munnar to travel to Thekkady. The houseboat experience was phenomenal. One of the best travel experiences of my life. The scenery and having a whole boat to yourselves were incredible. Overall, we had a great time. We are very well seasoned travelers and this gets our recommendation. We will definitely come back to Kerala.

4 nights on the road in Kerala

The visits to the animal sanctuaries were the most fun. We also enjoyed the Kerala folk dance show. The location of the Leaf hotel in Munnar was excellent along with the views it offered. Our Driver Anil was the best, he was accommodating of us wanting to stop and take pictures and explaining the sites and the views.the house boat was a great capstone to the tour the staff on board and the meals were excellent. On the negative side the Merryweather hote resort l in Thekkady was a little cramped and the lighting in the room left a lot to be desired. The breakfast in both hotels were decent but not great. For Kerala the dosas left a lot to be desired. Although we were told ours was a private tour some of places we would have liked to stop at we were told was not on the tour inspite of being told, in writing, we could stop wherever we liked.

We fully enjoyed all our day trips, so much to see and do, and such amazing scerary. bare in mind it is a lot of travelling to get to these places but well worth it! Our guide Jose pointed things out all the time, asked if we wanted to stop for photos and made sure we got the most out of our trip. Many thanks to him and Nimisha for helping us orangise our trip. Also the hotels we stayed at were fab, all really clean and well maintained. The indian staff go above and beyond to give a lovely friendly service. My partner and I can not wait to come back. Great communication!

From the start of first reaching out to this wonderful travel company the communication was excellent! We needed to start our trip within about 2 weeks of first contact and she had our trip planned that day with full confirmation in 1 day total and even changed things around at our request timo ensure we could stay at a certain resort. We visited Alleppey, Thekkady, and Munnar. The accommodations (1 night on a luxury house boat, 1 night at a beautiful hotel and 2 nights in a cottage, private driver, upgrade to larger vehicle etc) exceeded our expectations. Just ensure the vehicle has seat belts and good a/c if that is a priority for you, the A/C was not very good so the van was very hot and then our driver had vehicle trouble on night 3 of our trip (Shahid - Horizon van) so he needed to take his van into the shop but we immediately had a new driver without any delays or effort on our part and the A/C in the new drivers van was great (Akash - Guardian Angel Van). Both drivers were friendly and helpful. During our trip she communicated with us very well and ensured we arrived where we needed to and were happy with the accommodations. You must book with Sanguine Kerala to ensure a smooth trip, stays at the best places, and that you don’t miss out on anything!

Amazing experience

Our driver was great and so helpful. The trip is very good value with an excellent range of activities. We particularly enjoyed the national park in Munnar with a stunning backdrop of the tea plantations and also the houseboat which was a fantastic way to end the trip.

Great experience to explore Kerala

We did the tour as a couple, being in India for the first time. From the moment we booked the tour there was a clear communication about the program with all possibilities the modify the program as we wish. During the trip there was almost daily contact (text message) from our Sanguine contact to verify everything went smoothly. All selected hotels were excellent. The driver spoke English quite well and he explained some artifacts from the area as we explored the area. His driving skills were really good. The Indian traffic can be very hectic, but he kept always calm, drove us as comfortably as possible and knew the area really well. Since we had a private driver, the program was adjustable as we liked it. The driver could tell us exactly what was feasible and what not. The tour and the places we visited were very nice. We fully enjoyed the different landscapes and places and Indian hospitality. We’ve done as much as possible during the 5-day tour and nothing disappointed us. Every part of the tour and every activity was really beautiful. Incan describe a lot about all these nice activities, but you just have to experience yourself!

Fantastic first taste of Kerala!

This trip was a great way to sample all that Kerala has to offer. Our driver, Mr Rajesh, filled us with confidence as he navigated the winding hills and busy towns around the area, even when it was pouring rain! No request was too much trouble for him. His suggestions for places to eat and things to do were really helpful. Highlights of the trip included the tea plantations, sitting on our balcony at Rivulet Resort watching the river after heavy rain observing the abundant bird life, joining the local tourists at the parks and wildlife sanctuaries, and relaxing on the overnight stay on the houseboat. Cultural highlights not be missed were the Kathakalai dancing and martial arts near Thekkady. Overall, the tour was fabulous - it took all the stress out of travelling for us. Rajesh took us to all the attractions, but there was never any stress or obligation to buy a ticket if we didn't want to. Thank you, Nimisha and Sanguine Holidays, for a great trip!

Great way to have door to door transportation and activities

We really enjoyed this tour package. Nimisha was wonderful about communicating with us so that we knew exactly what to expect. She even helped us book tickets for hiking in the tea fields at Munnar. The guide she booked, Philip, was excellent - we spent almost four hours hking through the tea fields and onto the surrounding mountain - fantastic. Our driver, Anil, picked us up from the airport, and took us to every activity that we did, including meals and any shopping we wanted to do. Just make sure to communicate if you don't want to do sales-oriented stops. I was a little nervous about the houseboat stay, but it turned out to be really fun.

Trip to kerala with Sanguine holidays - Excellent Experiance.

We really loved the holiday package booked through Sanguine Holidays. They were very prompt and accommodating. Our driver Jaison is also a nice person and he made our tour more enjoyable. The Hotels they selected were Tall Trees in Munnar and Greenwoods in Thekkady. Both resorts offered a comfortable and cozy ambiance. The staff was courteous and always ready to assist. Our stay on the AC Houseboat was a unique and memorable experience. The food was very tasty and the staff was very cooperative. Overall the experience was very nice and we both enjoyed the tour well. We would love to come again to Kerala through Sanguine Holidays I would give 10 stars if its possiable...

Great experience overall. Nimisha was very helpful and responsive booking everything and customising a trip for me as a solo traveller. She was very quick to reply and help me to arrange the trip, giving options for activities and where I would like to stay. She also checked up on how I was getting on several times during the trip. Wonderful custom Kerala tour organized by Sanguine Holidays

We had a wonderful Custom 6 Days / 5 Nights Kerala Tour Package with Private Tour with Exclusive Houseboat Stay. Namisha was very helpful and responsive organizing and customizing the 5-day Kerala Tour for an extra day and dropping us off at our hotel at the end of the trip. Our driver was very friendly and informative about the different areas in Kerala. The hotels in Munnar (Tall Trees) and Thekkady (Amaana Plantation Resort) were very nice, with good on-site restaurants for breakfast and dinner. The accommodations on the houseboat in Alleppey were also nice, with very good sightseeing on the river. Wildlife viewing can't be guaranteed, especially during the rainy monsoon season. But we were happy to see the bird life, Indian Bison and even elephants in a field along the side of the road. I wasn't expecting to see tigers, but we were excited to seeing fresh tiger prints on our hike in Thekkady. We were happy to visit during the low season with less crowds and cooler temperature. This was our first trip to India, and we're so glad we did this trip to Kerala. Sanguine Holidays made this trip very easy for us to sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. I highly recommend this trip organized by Sanguine Holidays.

Outstanding tour run by friendly and organized people!

If you have 5 days in Kerala this is an Incredible way to see it! I did the tour with my father who is 76, and the pace of the tour was so accommodating and yet so fulfilling! Nimisha in the office was lovely to work with, she was so friendly and helpful. Our driver Anil was one of the highlights for us as well. He was so kind and fun and helped us have a great time! When doing the houseboat experience, make sure you say yes to the small boat tour for an additional cost, that was for sure a highlight of the tour. Five stars all around 😊

Excellent stay

An serene, relaxing overnight stay! The surroundings are tranquil and beautiful, with ample birdwatching opportunities. The crew is friendly, attentive and excellent cooks to boot - they even provided my friend a cake and decoration upon request , since it was her birthday! Overall would thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic trip to Kerala with lots of sights and activities

From the initial enquiry, Sanguine were very prompt and helpful to all emails and WhatsApp messages. Our guide was an excellent driver on some very windy and busy roads. A bit more information about the places we were passing and visiting would have been good and also some more communication regarding how long the journeys would be, where we could stop enroute for photos etc would be useful. However he was very polite with good English. The trip involved a lot of travelling but we knew that before we went. The car was comfortable and we felt like we saw a lot in 5 days.

Enjoyable first taste of India

This was an overall enjoyable trip and nice first introduction to India and the beauty of the Kerala region. We particularly enjoyed the overnight houseboat trip and stay. The boat and hut was really beautiful and while very large we had it all to ourselves. We found the scenery and nature beautiful, the Indian people very nice, and the hygiene was good everywhere. Please note that the driver was just that, a driver. He is not a guide, he actually knew nothing about the sites visited. The hotels are adequate, with clean rooms and range from basic to quite nice. The driving per day is between 2 and 4 hours, which is doable. The safari rides are well worth it with all the natural beauty. Please note most activities are not included and at additional charge to the venue, off-road safari companies etc. The local agent was responsive for queries and issues. If you want luxury though, this is not the right trip.

Some tips for the trip :)

Hey guys, We overall recommend the tour operator and this trip but a lot about it comes down to the optional activities you will do so please spend some more time on the details of them to have a memorable stay :) Some tips from us: 1. Munnar is just amazing and spending 2 nights there is definitely the best thing you will do during the trip. We were stationed in Le mount fort hotel and we can definitely recommend it for others. It’s possible to ask them to go with you to the nearby tee plantations for free which we did and loved. As to the optional activities we did Jeep ride to nearby landmarks for 4000 rupees (have mixed feelings if it’s worth it) , Jeep ride to the elephant village for 7000 rupees ( if it’s summer and the elephants come I highly recommend it. Usually the locals will know if they do. It’s a little far but great experience overall), the tee factory visit ( we liked it ) 2. In thekkady we did the boat tour of the park and the two shows with fighters and costumes. The shows are definitely worth doing. I would rate them 4/5. As to the boat tour I would consider doing some other activities at the park. For us it seemed really short. They have an extensive list of things to do. This however would mean modifying the trip a bit and coming back from munnar earlier. 3. Allepey and the houseboat tour. A lot of the experience will come down to the boat you will be on. If you want to do it I would try to find a boat with good reviews. 4. Cochin. Besides standard things we did a massage here and neemas cooking class. Definitely check out the class if you like cooking :)

Great tour company you can trust

We booked our trip last minute and Nimisha was able to accommodate all of our requests. She was able to book all of our hotel stays and we paid extra to stay at a fabulous resort with cabins in a forest. Our favourite part of the trip was the houseboat. It was big and luxurious and the staff were very friendly and the food was great. I recommend this trip to anyone visiting Kerala for 5 days.

Great local tour

We feel that we got to see traditional India on this trip We stayed in local hotels run by individual business people and ate in small local restaurants We saw tea plantations,spice gardens ,ayerverdic massage, traditional dancers,we also saw a local religious festival.We stayed overnight in a houseboat in the backwaters The weather was perfect not too hot Our driver was great

Fabulous Five Day Tour!

This was a fantastic holiday and excellent value for money! We saw so many spectacular places, and could not have seen nearly as much without all the organization from Sanguine Holidays. Nimisha was wonderful to work with; she helped us to book our boat trip in the Periyar Tiger Reserve ahead of arrival and was on hand to check-in that everything was running smoothly throughout the tour! In particular, we loved the houseboat experience. We'd highly recommend this company and tour to anyone interested in visiting Kerala!

Five unforgettable days

We had the best time during our 5 day trip. Even before the trip started the communication with Nimisha from Sanguine Holidays was perfect, she sent us all important details and additional information about the tour. She went above and beyond to help not only with booking optional activities but also transportation after the trip. During the trip, our driver Anil was very kind and helpful and answered our many questions. He made sure we were comfortable at all times and led us to the best food spots. You can tell that he is very experienced and knows a lot about the region! The itinerary was very well organised and adapted to our wishes. We enjoyed the entire trip a lot but our highlights were the martial arts show, the Eravikulam National Park and the tea plantations.
