Curly was an awesome guide. He was extremely knowledgeable of the island and its history. The van permitted us to go places the big busses can't. It also allowed us to see more of the island.

A Delicious Deep Dive

Our guide Pete was friendly, knowledgeable, and an all-around good human being. He obviously loved Kangaroo Island, having deeply studied its natural and man made history. His understanding of the Island was shared with us in a conventional manner, never feeling like a lecture. We covered a large area, both geographically and topic-wise, but never felt rushed or overwhelmed. A delightful day! Thanks Pete!

best tour ever! Nikki was the best guide ever!

We did a private wildlife tour. Nikki was our guide and she is so incredibly knowledgeable of the flora and fauna, being a naturalist who grew up on Kangaroo Island. She knew all the back roads and got us to so many different out of the way places tour buses couldn't go. We saw so much different wildlife in such a short period, and avoided most of the crowds. She tailored our tour to exactly what we wanted and gave us a fantastic lunch on the beach. Thank you so much Nikki.

Memorable KI Experience!

Really remarkable and memorable experience on Kangaroo Island. We enjoyed every minute of our journey around the unique island. We were fortunate to have the most incredible guide, Nikki Redman, who knew every piece of the land and the history that surrounded it. We were grateful to have her experience and dedication along the way. Plus, her photography is on another level - don't forget to ask her about that too! Couldn't recommend this experience enough, well worth it! Don't hesitate, and book it!

Worth the money!

This tour seemed expensive when I booked but it was totally worth the money, especially if you don't have your own transport. A very full day of sightseeing and wildlife spotting which gives you an appreciation of Kangaroo Island's scenery and some of its iconic species e.g. sea lions, fur seals, echidnas. Unfortunately we didn't see any of the eponymous kangaroos, but I had seen them myself the day before. Driver Pete was friendly, engaging and knowledgable about the island's ecology and animals (I am an ecologist and learned some new stuff), though he didn't know some of the heathland plants, so it might be a good idea to have a plant book in the bus for those who are interested in the botanicals. The whiting burger for lunch at Vivonne Bay store was delicious. Highly recommended.

Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. He made sure this would be a memorable experience. We enjoyed it tremendously!

A perfect day tour to see wildlife and nature

Driver and Guide was extremely friendly, very safe driving also on gravel roads. We had different wonderful stops with nice memories from flora and fauna. Caitlin made an extra stop to point out some Koalas sleeping in the trees during the day. Customer service was excellent. We recommend this excursion. Hotel pickup and drop off was perfect and on time.

Do this trip for sure!

A very well organized tour. Fun and informative with wild animals sighted all day long. The small bus was clean and the P A system was clear and loud for all to enjoy the dialogue.

Kangaroo Island

Fantastic experience, going around the Island. Seen many wildlife including kangaroos, Wallabies, koalas, seals, pelicans! Went to Flinders Chase and there was remarkable rocks and admirals arch for great pictures! 100% recommend

We were extremely fortunate to be recommended to try to book Nikki Redman as our guide for our almost 9 hour long wildlife and scenic tour. Nikki is a delightful Lady, is passionate about her subject and is a human encyclopedia covering all aspects of animals, plants, trees and the history of Kangeroo Island. Perfect Day on Kangaroo Island

Jampacked tour of kangaroo island highlights. Lots of driving, but beautiful sites to see and a knowledgeable and informative guide. Would’ve preferred better audio from the tour guide on the bus. Describing the lunch as "hornet" was definitely an overstatement, but overall would recommend the trip.

Beautiful Kangaroo Island Trip

A very nice excursion. Saw all the great spots on the south coast. Lots of great animals and a good tour guide. The sandwich for lunch was very tasty.

Very Knowledgeable Guide

This was a great trip with all the important sites seen and some great wildlife viewing. Nikki amazed us with her immense knowledge of the island and the animals and her uncanny ability to spot animals. It was obvious that she knows and loves her island! The mid morning snack of carrot cake was a bit messy with no drink provided. Lunch could certainly be stepped up a notch or two and water would be preferable to the unbelievably sweet fruit juice provided. Finally, the last two hours of the tour was a non stop trip back to town doing drive by of some sites. Those buses are not the most comfortable and stopping every 20-30 minutes, even for short photo stops , would really have been appreciated! All in all, we did learn a lot about the animals and the history of the island.

KI Wildlife Tour

We had a small group an a passionate wildlife devotee as a guide and it was an exceptional experience. Just loved it. Very knowledgeable and very personable.

Best tour ever

Our travel group of 11 had an amazing day with Nikki. We saw a large number of kangaroos, walked on the beach with australian ea lions, saw Koalas and most of the Island. Incredible!!!

Great nature and wildlife tour of Kangaroo Island

We had a fantastic day with Nikki Redman on a private tour - could not have been any better. Nikki is an outstanding and very knowledgeable guide. She knows everything there is to know about Kangaroo Island and more! We saw kangaroos, koalas, seals, amazing nature sights and rock formations. Great tour, The guide explains a lot and has good energy, but the lunch is very light for the price of the activity.

Very interesting and informative.

Our tour guide Nikki was amazing. She was so knowledgeable and a delight to meet. But the bus trip was awful. A large bus was needed. Kangaroo Is. roads are not built for small vans. I am 80 and it really shook me up. I hurt my hand on one very nasty jolt. Once again Nikki was marvelous and Kangaroo Island is beautiful. Loved it.

The BEST trip possible on Kangaroo Island.

The best trip you could possibly go on! Our tour guide Nikki was incredible, she really is passionate about teaching you about the Island and showing you the best spots. We had the best day and wish we had more time on the island to do another tour. Seeing the animals in the wild was incredible and the scenery just beautiful. Cannot recommend this tour enough, it would be the best day!

Magical Kangaroo Island Tour

Nikki went above and beyond for our group, even speaking some Italian for one of the couples in our group. A lot of information was shared about the island's history and wildlife that we wouldn't have otherwise known, had we driven around on our own. We captured a lot of magic throughout the day, visiting each of the most beautiful locations around Kangaroo Island. Truly magical! 😄

A great day out

What a great day - thank you Cheryl our guide and driver. I didnt realise one could be so excited seeing an Echidna! The sights and stop offs were super, the information and explanations from Cheryl educational. A really enjoyable experience

Lots of wildlife to see

It was a really good day and Cheryl our guide/driver was very good at spotting wildlife for us. We covered a lot of the island. She knew the area well and could give us lots of information about the places we were visiting and what we would see. The only downside to the trip was as one of the pickups was the ferry, which was late getting in, the trip sometimes felt a little rushed fitting everything in.

Amazing day on Kangaroo Island

I had the best day on Kangaroo Island! Kylie was super helpful and responsive when I contacted her about the Scenic Nature and Wildlife Day Tour and Nikki was the best guide. As a KI local and wildlife photographer she went out of her way to show me the very best spots on the island, which she knows inside out. Watching seal pups playing in a rocky nursery pool was spectacular and seeing koalas up close was extra special. Nikki knows where to find all the wildlife and also where to stop for the best scenery. She really enjoyed sharing her impressive knowledge about everything relating to KI and was not only a great tour guide but also the perfect host, organising a delicious lunch and snacks and ensuring I stay well hydrated on a beautiful and hot day. To anyone who is interested in wildlife and scenery - I cannot recommend this tour with Kangaroo Island Trails and Nikki as a guide enough.

Kangaroo island trail remarkable rocks and wildlife

Cheryl the tour guide was professional and knew where to go efficiently and very safe. We stopped in the way to see wildlife like an echidna or a koala in a safe manner and allowed to take pictures. Remarkable rocks and flinders Chase is a must see in KI Vivonne bay is a beautiful beach and seal bay as well. I recommend ki trails and Cheryl as a guide! Thanks for great memories and Jennifer on setting up a last minute great tour!

An Awesome Day on the Kangaroo Island Tour!!!

We had a once in a lifetime experience on the Kangaroo Island Experience tour with naturalist Nicky as our expert guide.Nicky was very knowledgable about the flora and fauna of the Island and told us so many interesting facts about the history and the wildlife on the Island.She also took special care to show us Kangaroos and Koalas in the wild and spotted even an Echidnas and a Black Tiger Snake.Was an altogether awesome experience thanks to Nicky

waste of money

Extremely disappointing tour. We were picked up at Emu Bay then drove for 2 hours to Penneshaw and back. Sheryl our guide (who seemed a nice person) gave us very little information and told no stories. The tour took us to places that were easy to find on the map. They provided a burger for lunch and water. Do not do this tour if you have your own car. We are all still scratching our heads and trying to figure out what we paid $1,600 for.

This tour went above and beyond our expectations. We had limited time on the island and this one-day tour covers all the necessary attractions and wildlife spotting. Most of the merit goes to our outstanding guide Nikki, an extraordinary professional with a multi decade experience on the field. She showed us all the wonders of the island, on and off path, and made sure we saw that through her enthusiastic eyes. We had an increasingly pleasant day thanks to her friendliness and to the amazing stories she would tell us along the way. 100% recommended if you only have one full day to dedicate to Kangaroo Island

50th wedding anniversary holiday

We had a fabulous time. Nikki was our tour guide. She made our day VERY enjoyable. We would recommend it to anyone. She goes all out to make sure you are ok. Her knowledge of the Island is fantastic.

STUNNING TOUR WITH NIKKI REDMAN

When initially booking this adventure I thought it was a tad expensive but now that I have concluded my KI adventure I felt totally fulfilled by the truly wonderful sights and experiences offered. But perhaps my total joy was enhanced by a very, very special tour guide, NIKKI REDMAN. She is the finest, most dynamic, friendly and knowledgeable tour guide I have had since my 2010 UK tour which was made so enjoyable by another stunning guide. Her passionate mission and intrepid spirit showcased KI in the best possible way. She is a special Renaissance artist with universal talents. Deeply versed in all the natural sciences, photography, local history and a wonderful road warrior as well, I felt privileged to be with her for 7 hours. She is a tourist and eco champion! Every single thing worked out so well and smoothly. So much was packed in a day yet so much time to appreciate the geology, flora and fauna. Very happy. Very highly rated.

PERFECT TOUR AND THE BEST GUIDE

It’s been an incredible tour! Winter season is the perfect time to visit Kangaroo Island. No tourism and lots of animals all around. Nikki was my guide. She is definitely the best! She is so passionate for nature and animals and as a local guide she has a full knowledge of the wild life of the island. Sharing these two days with her made my visit to Kangaroo Island one of the most specials parts of my trip Australia.

Amazing and comprehensive tour of Kangaroo Island

Our Kangaroo Island Scenic Nature and Wildlife Day Tour with Curly was incredible! We saw so much remarkable wildlife: sea lions, seals, kangaroos, koalas, birds, and even an echidna! Curly was an outstanding guide; he highly knowledgeable about the island and excited to pass the information to us. The places we stopped were well organized and really showcased the beauty of Kangaroo Island. Seal Bay and Flinders Chase National Park were my personal favorites. I would recommend this tour to anyone!

Seeing the kangeroos and kuolas in their natural habitat. Seal bay walk As it was pouring and windy, we decided to stay in t van instead of going out. Nikki is good and knowledgeable throughout the trip.

Amazing, must do tour of KI!

Amazing tour and a must do on KI! I coincidentally had a private tour with Nikki who is hands down one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. She went above and beyond for me on the tour, taking me to extra spots along the way to see koalas, kangaroos and wallabies. We were lucky enough to even see Southern Right Whales at Cape du Couedic! Nikki is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the island and excellent company!
