Jamaica Bamboo Rafting Experience with Lime Stone Massage

It was raining and we didn't actually get to raft down the river, but did get the limestone full body message. Don't go in September, it's the raining season.

Great experience

We had a blast. Marlin was such a great guide. The coconuts were on point. The scrub was amazing. The other guides were very helpful

Waste on money

Good taxi ride to the rafts. River was too crowded with rafts. The boatman stopped the raft every 23 meters/ yards to ask you to purchase a trinket or drinks from his shore side friend. Total journey was 300 meters/yards. The mud bath covered only lower legs.

Birthday Experience!

Everyone was very nice and professional. They were making sure that we were comfortable and were really having fun. I enjoyed this so much best birthday experience.

Great experience would try it again. Everything was so fun to the souvenirs, drinks. massage, boat ride, and hospitality.

This river experience with limestone foot massage is a must do!!!

We had an amazing time on this tour! Our tour driver, Dilano made sure we got to and from our destination and engaged in easy Caribbean conversation. Our raft guide, “Strong” was extremely professional and shared the historical importance of the nearby bridge and river to the community. The limestone foot massage and mineral water in the river combined is a must do for anyone visiting. The experience is enhanced by the small markets along the river with the friendliest people! Thank you for making us feel welcome!

Great Experience

Shoutout Captain Bel. I enjoyed the ride. It was a bit shorter than expected Id say 15 mins each way? Bel kept us entertained. Fresh fruit and sugar cane was so yummy. Massage was nice. And the music was a vibe. You also get to interact with others passing which is fun. Oh! and our driver to and from the hotel was no nice. He offered to be our driver the entire trip. He showed us many places around Montego which im not sure if that was included or not, but we did tip to give them a thank you. #OurPersonalBodyGuard Thank you! Would return.

Good Vibe

Good experience but I would suggest bringing your own wash cloth and bath towel. They use the same rag on every one and that can’t be sanitary.

Tust me you need this experience

A great experience rafting and included lower leg lime stone massage! Our driver Delly was professional, nice and punctual. The “captains” of the rafts are so welcoming and really cater to their guests. Lots of fun on the river with drinks, food and gifts to purchase. Shout out to our captains Marlon and Cuuba. These men work hard to pull the rafts kept us safe, comfortable and super entertained. Tipping in Jamaica is an act of kindness that is highly appreciated and it shows in the even further above and beyond treatment that they give in return. Do yourself a favor and read ALL DETAILS in this excursion before booking so you have no suprise. Trust me you need this experience in your life!!

Unprofessional company

If I could leave this zero stars I would. I don’t know if it was the mistake of our AAA rep, Viator, or the tour company but the only contact we had from the tour company is the day that we were traveling to try to find a pick up point. We tried to call and so did many people from our hotel with absolutely no luck, they don’t answer their phones. We thought since it was a the first full day of our trip we could try to rebook but they don’t return emails or pick up their phones. We are out 180 US dollars so buyers beware. Many other options for this same trip so choose another company.

Amazing Couple Excursion

The rafting experience is fun and relaxing at the same time! Make sure to bring cash as they have several vendors along the river. The coconut and leg massage are complimentary but any other souvenirs and food are for sell. Overall a great experience and i would definitely do it again!

Nice. But not what we expected

It was indeed an amazing experience. However, there were things I wasn't aware of such as this is NOT an up stream ride....this is more of a 30/40 feet ride. Which is not what I was expecting. The massage was great. The drinks were far too small for 10$ each and filled with ice. Theres also food for a fee of 20$ for jerk chicken and rice. Overall the experience was good but just not exactly what we were expecting. Would I recommend? Probably not, as it's simply not long enough and not worth the monies for such a short time. The views however, were amazing. We love Jamaica and will always give love....but this excursion just wasn't what we expected.

Great experience

Very nice & relaxing. Everyone friendly. Helped me walk across the rafts to our raft. Took plenty photos. Offered music connection to their speaker. Offered coconut & rum punch. Rum punch was great. Limestone massages was great. Only thing I wish Is that we went a little further down the river (Probably not possible tho) The ride up to the spot is a bit treacherous & long.

A Great Time

The bamboo rafting experience was soooo much fun! We had a time with Captain Bell. He gave us fresh fruit, and the back cracks with the massageeeee.. EVERYTHING! Definitely will do this again. Make sure to wear bug spray, cause they were eating us up lol.

The tour guide “Strong” was the most sweetest kindest souls I’ve ever met. He made me feel extremely welcomed and safe. I couldn’t have asked for a better guide! Definitely 10/10 recommend! Can’t wait to go back and visit :)

Great experience

Lovely experience, driver was good, rafting experience was great. Lots of fun. You can play your own music, buy drinks and there’s great souvenirs to shop too. Highly recommend

Aggressive people

Terrible service. They were so aggressive and tried to play it off. Very unprofessional. I am Jamaican so I understood everything they’re saying, yet they tried to make it seem like everything was ok. The view was beautiful!

Great time!

My Family and I booked this excursion post hurricane Buryl, we were nervous however we had a great time, we felt safe and in good hands. Kinroy who was the driver got us there and back safe, he was very informative and helpful. Juicy was one of the captains and he was great as well.

Worth the experience

This was a perfect activity for my husband and kids. Beware of the description, the price was supposed to include transportation however once contacted, I received a response then was ghosted and had ended up to paying $100usd for taxi to get there.

Will never book thru this company again

Worst experience ever dealing with Viator!!! Never again!!! Had a family emergency and could not make it … customer service gave me the worst time accommodating and asked for medical records which is a HIPPA violation!!

Super fun

Had a wonderful time. Arrived safely at the river and back to the hotel with no issues. On the river the guy we had was great. He attempted to get the best photos of us that he could. They have rum punch, hookah, jerk chicken , everything available while your rafting for extra cost. Full body massage is also an extra fee.

Big Ups to Jamaica bamboo rafting

Bamboo rafting was amazing. Strong and Christie gave great massages and Strong was very knowledgeable about the Jamaica history. It was a very relaxing experience. Big Ups to Jamaica!!!!

Nice experience

It was a nice experience. It was like a river mall during the rafting. You can buy drinks, hookah and food while on the raft. You can buy souvenirs also.

The Best Tour

Absolutely terrific experience! From Anthony picking me up on time and getting us there safely, then I had to pleasure of having a kind gentleman that goes by the name STRONG to be my raft tour guide. Strong was query knowledgeable, kind and interesting. I am a solo traveler and I felt very comfortable and he took good care of me. Kenroy took me home and he was very pleasant to talk to.

overall fun experience

the bamboo ride itself was nice just wish it was longer and i thought it was going to be more quiet but many rafts passing by were playing music which was distracting. overall fun experience especially if you’re looking to take pictures! they also give you a coconut to drink and you can ask them to cut it open, however they do ask for tips which i feel should be given out of my willingness not by force

More is needed

The captain’s limestone massage was good. There should be a price for men and a price for women. There should be more than two slices of mango and a half of banana per person.

Rafting time was limited

If you are looking for a longer raft ride this is not it. This was the Instagram excursion, specifically giving photo opportunities and less of a rafting experience. Overall the experience was pleasant. Transportation to and from was prompt. Limestone massage was an added touch, but know that that this is a large part of the experience. Fortunately, I had taken the Martha Brae tour during a prior trip. I would highly recommend that one if you are looking for a full rafting experience and not just photo opportunities. It would be nice if the length of rafting experience was specified in 1.5 hr description.

Was definitely nervous when picked up from the hotel but these were THE nicest people you wanna meet. Make sure you do the full body lime stone massage. And get the authentic Rum punch. And don’t forget to leave a little early to stop by the hut and get you some authentic oxtails that fall of the bone. Definitely a hidden Jewel. Pearson (da captain) is a Jewel.

This experience was the perfect way to cap off our trip in celebration of my sister’s birthday. Mr. Bell, aka Dr. Bell, was a complete vibe! He brought great energy and made sure we were comfortable and having fun the entire time we were out on the water.

Jamaican rafting rawks!

Absolutely amazing! The experience was delightful from start to finish. The driver Tony was very cool. I recommend this to anyone visiting Jamaica. And ask for Strong… he is a super star!

Poor rafting experience

Very underwhelming experience. We were not checked in. Never asked to see our voucher or confirm who we are. We were put on one raft with one captain and then moved to another. Almost lost our phone in the process. The guide we had was qualified but very distracted. When the woman who came to do the limestone foot massage, the first thing she said was that while the massage is included, they do not get paid for it. They only get what we give them. Well, that put us on the spot from the get-go. We paid viator and gave more tips than we had expected. We would have been better just showing up without pre-booking. Every raft had music on. It was loud and messy and distracting and took away from the truly beautiful setting and sounds of nature. Very disappointing.

Not bad but not great for travelers from Negril

It was shorter than I expected. I don't recommend if you are staying in Negril. The excursion is closer to Montego Bay. Long car ride, but nice ride and great driver. Just short.

Great experience! The people are very accommodating and vibe is very relaxed. Our guide was amazi mg and taught us a lot about the area and the effects of limestone for skin. We had a great time and fully recommend.

Amazing experience. Must do in Mobay! The staff made it work even though it was heavily raining. Had such a good time. The vibes were 10/10.
