A good experience. Worth to visit the active volcano. Body massage at hot spring is relaxing. Would wish to improve the toilet in hot spring attraction though

Nice trip to Volvano.

It was a wonderful trip to be with Mr Benny as our guide and Mr Mummy(sry but it really sounds like Mummy) as our driver. The trip tarted with overall 6 travellers in the morning, followed by the rice field and tea plantation before reaching the volcano. Mr Benny shared fascinating stories and jokes along the road to warmup. The crater was fenced off so it was only about taking pics and buying souvenirs. In the afternoon we were treated with lunch, luwak coffee and the volcanic spring massage, and the massage is totally depended on self-choice, one can also choose to walk around in the spring park. The trip was started from 7am until 8pm until I got back to hotel, which was kind of long but chatting with other members was great. Grab fee is covered if you are living far away from the meeting point, and so is the lunch. Mr Benny is a very optimistic and hospitable person, very easy-going and eager to learn new stuffs. Overall it was a nice trip and worth the price.

Indonesian full immersion!

If you ever find yourself in Jakarta, embarking on a tour like this is highly recommended! Bryan and Mami were not only punctual in picking us up from our hotel, but they also took the time to guide us through the peaceful countryside of Jakarta, all while explaining the local traditions of the area. Our adventure ranged from the calm rice fields and tea plantations to the thunderous sounds of the active Tangkuban Parahu volcano. We indulged in a delicious lunch near Badung and tasted the rich local fruits at the vibrant street markets. The unique experience of savoring Luwak coffee and relaxing in the comforting hot springs was second to none. You can be certain that you will not head back to Jakarta disappointed!

Vincent was the best! recommend this tour!

Vincent was an amazing guide! Walked us through each step of the tour and was able to accommodate to specific needs if necessary. The travel to the volcano is about 3 hours each way and can be bumpy. Rest stops are made to help out. Overall great day trip with an amazing guide.

Great your, better your guide

Benny was an unbelievable tour guide and spoke amazing English. He took us to so many places around Jakarta that weren’t full of tourists and allowed us to experience various tastes of Indonesia. The only thing that I’d recommend is remembering to barter when buying goods without a price tag on them.

Nice tour to see and experience rural parts of Indonesia

Riszky the tour guide was very fun and interactive. It was a long day but we were able to see and experience some rural parts of Indonesia away from the busy Jakarta. It was interesting to learn abt the coffee making process and how local people do business.

It is an excellent tour, in fact it is one of the best I’ve bee.n on and definitely the best value!! It covers so many different and diverse experiences throughout the day, each one better than the other (the rice fields, lovely lunch, tea fields, the volcano (the highlight for me), the hot springs etc…amazing!, it really is fantastic value and actually very cheap when I look at how much was packed in but nothing was rushed. Special mention to our tour guide Rizky and our driver were first class and had us laughing all day with funny stories!! If this trip isn’t on your bucket list, it should me! 10/10!

Rizky was an awesome tour guide. He made the trip so much better and really accommodating. I highly recommend because the sights were awesome and the food was so good.

Great service and educational trip

Excellent service from guide Nanda and driver Andy. I had requested to be picked up from Bandung and dropped off at Jakarta at the end of the tour and the agency made the private tour arrangements smoothly for me. Tangkuban Perahu is definitely worth a visit if you are coming to this part of the world.

A day trip in Bandung

very nice and wonderful trip to know everything according to the tour, everything is the same description in the introduction of tour. Vincent is the best tourist guide I have ever had. He is so experienced and share everything about Indonesia which we don't know about.

Fun field trip to the volcano and countryside.

This was a great day trip out of the city. Benny was our guide and he was excellent. He catered to all our needs, answered all our questions and was very informative. We traveled in a comfortable van with 5 guests plus Benny and the driver. We had plenty of time at the volcano to take pictures . We also made a stop at a coffee plantation where animals called luwaks predigest the coffee beans before processing. I wish the animals were kept in nicer enclosures, though. They are becoming extinct. Lunch was delicious and in a unique setting that looked like a boat inside the restaurant. Delicious food. We made stops at a rice field and a tea plantation, too. Great introduction to Indonesia. Very enjoyable day and Benny deserves 10 stars.

The tour was excellent! Beni always answered the group’s questions and maintained professionalism throughout the tour. The tour itself was great, and there was ample time to enjoy each location. Great overview of the city!

Really interesting and safe tour of Jakarta. Guide was friendly engaging, full of historical facts and so very kind. He customized the tour to fit a very compressed schedule I had bc I was there on business and had a meeting run late. Highly recommend to get an overview of this fascinating place!

There is a reason this full day trip receives five stars from previous travelers. Thanks to Vincent, who is an excellent tour guide, it is a great experience. His English is superb and he is patient and attentive to everyone. The lunch was much better than expected. Food was tasty and the restaurant was very clean. You will enjoy.

A Tour in West Java worth remembering

The tour was long especially the driving to/ from West Java to/ from Jakarta but it was worth it. Vincent, the tour guide was knowledgeable about the tour. He was kind and funny too. I would recommend him. I wish there was an option for the transportation using the high speed trains to and from Bandung. I guess it would save some time of the tour and at the same time, it’s going to be an experience also for the guests. Thank you.

A Volcanic Adventure with Bryan, the Superstar Guide

My recent tour with Bryan was informative and enjoyable thanks to his exceptional communication skills. Throughout the day, he shared interesting facts and stories about the places we visited, including their history and local cuisine. The undisputed highlight was the volcano. The views were fantastic, but be prepared for the unique (and let's be honest, smelly) volcanic air – a mild chill couldn't quite mask it! Despite the sulphuric aroma, the experience was definitely worth it.

Best idea to kill a day in Jakarta

We had a down day in our hotel near the Jakarta Airport so we booked this all day tour to kill some time. Everyone in our group of six agreed it was a lot of fun and we had a fabulous time getting out of the city. Special thanks to Bryan our exceptional guide and Toto our driver. Well worth doing it rather than going into the center of city which we did another day and found to be a waste of time.

Good day trip outside Jakarta

This was my first time seeing an active Volcano, its quite impressive! The tour is well planned with stops at the local fruit market, a tea plantation before the Volcano, followed by great lunch. Worth the early wake up!

Great experience

Great experience with a knowledgeable guide. What we appreciated was that we tried many type of food and coffee but no one pushed us to purchase anything. The tour picked us up on time, we stopped on the way for breakfast and I was glad to see quite a lot of options for food (compare to other freeway truck stop). Same on the way back. There's enough time at each stop to enjoy the sight seeing / activity. 1h at the volcano, 30 or 45min at the hot spring (you can get leg massage for 30,000 rupee or full body for 50,000). The hot spring was designed with small waterfall. Probably the only 40 degrees waterfall you'll ever see. The whole place is great.

Worthwhile trip to an active vulcona

Our Guide Vincent was excellent as well as the driver Mr. Toto. It was a long tour from 07.00 until 23.00. Worth every hour. Fruits, tea and coffee, excellent lunch and an amazing trip around the crater of the vulcona

Volcano tour

The volcano was amazing. The hot springs was a favorite spot for locals. The wate was very nice. Benny was a grrat guide!

Good day trip idea

The highlights were definitely the Kopi Luwak and the lunch. Bryan our guide was really interactive and fun and we had a great bunch in our tour group. The hot springs is actually in a resort so was a bit disappointing. Please take note that Jakarta traffic is not for the faint hearted, check if there are any religious/public holidays as we spent 6 hours on the road for our return journey - no fault of anyone (Just something to keep in mind).

Nice, but underwhelming

It was a nice tour , but a little underwhelming. We had a nice guide who was funny , his name was Benny. Only for this tour you have to know that of the 14 hours , you are least 9 hours in the van. The lunch was okay, nothing special. I had expected a bit more of a tasting of the Sundanese kitchen. But it was just satay with rice or nasi goreng. Also for a 14 hour tour they could have build in some more moments to eat, because between 13:30 and 21:30 there is no food offered. The hotsprings is a very busy spot and looks like a busy swimmingpool. Overall it was a nice experience , only price quality not completely what I expected. Did have an enjoyable day though.

Trip was good seeing active volcanoes and having local food and we enjoyed swim in spring water. The guide is a really nice person who explains and advises as much as he can

Good way to spend a day outside of Jakarta

A time and cost-efficient way to see volcanoes and local living outside of Jakarta. The guide came to our hotel on time and spoke reasonably good English. While he was less informative, just got onto the job as a tour guide in less than two months, he tried to please the customers. The lunch was good.

Typical Rural Life Outside of Jakarta

It was great to get out of Jakarta and experience the rural life of the people. Enjoyed a local market and learning about rice farming and harvesting, so labour intensive. Our guide Thomas was very knowledgeable about Indonesian life and its complex history which he explained to us in depth. To be honest the Botanical gardens were ok but not much in the way of flowers more a place for a good walk. We enjoyed our drive around Bogor and our included lunch. Our driver Andy was very calm and careful dealing with the constant traffic congestion.

A wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of Jakarta

This was a wonderful tour, stopping at many sites along the way to the volcano. Because we had the time, we also made a stop at a Luwak coffee production center, which was very enjoyable as I got to hold a 3 month old civet cat (and also having a cup of the delicious coffee they produce in conjunction with the civets!). After a relaxing foot massage at the hot spring, we stopped at a fruit market on return to Jakarta. There I was able to try some interesting local fruits, including the sweetest pineapple I have ever tasted! My guide, Bryan, was entertaining and knowledgable, answering all of my questions. And my driver, Andy, safely got us to our destinations and back to Jakarta. The drivers deserve medals, as the traffic in Jakarta (and smaller roads outside the city) is VERY chaotic! But Andy remained calm the entire time and his driving skills were excellent. A recommended trip if you want to see some interesting sites outside the busy city of Jakarta!

A great addition to my Jakarta trip - Thank you, Benny & Mami!

After spending 2.5 days in Jakarta, I was looking for something more indepth for my last day. I found this tour on the GetYourGuide app and booked it at 10:30pm the night before happening. I received a call within 30 minutes to confirm my booking, checked on my pick-up location, and reminded me about the items that I should be aware of - very professional. The day started at 7:30am at my airbnb lobby, and I returned to my apartment at 9pm. Itinerary was the same as stated in the description: rice field > tea field > volcano > local restaurant > cafe > hot spring. It was a long day with lots to do - it was well-arranged by our tour guide, Benny, and driver, Mami. We had resonable time for breaks, meals, and sightseeing. I felt I was not rushed at all by Benny throughout the day. Benny is a local from Bandung, which means he is knowledgeable about the area with interesting stories to tell. I asked about Indonesia custom and history, and he addressed my questions clearly from an authentic yet open-minded perspective. See if you can ask for Benny and Mami if you decide to go! : Saw that there's another long review from a HongKonger who also had the tour with Benny & Mami, I echo everything he said.

Benny and Mummy were the best! A great tour and well worth it. The volcano was stunning as well as the tea plantations. The lunch place was clean and the food was great.

Having a Great Day

We had an amazing day with our tour guide Vincent. We are lucky with less traffic on the road during Ramadan so it takes us less hours to come to the Volcano ;-) also at all the other stops there were less people also we were really lucky we have seen the black Monkey's. We really recommend this trip.

Great day out of Jakarta

I booked this tour to escape from noisy Jakarta and it was great decision. First of all I have to mention our tour guide Benny, amazing person with sense of humor and big knowledge about the place he lives in. Him and crazy driver Mami made my day 😃 We got a lot of interesting facts about local luwak coffee, tea, rice and highlight of the day: active volcano. I spent great day with great people so I highly recommend this tour. It was worth every penny!

The perfect antidote to the business and confinement that can come from staying in Jakarta.

I had a wonderful day out with Pak Benny, Pak Mami and the other guests. I took lots of photos, had a laugh, learned some interesting things, enjoyed some authentic food, bought some souvenirs and developed some ideas for parts of Java in which I'd like to spend more time, on my next visit. The highlight would have to be the refreshing, hot shower at the volcanic springs. Thanks to everyone involved for a memorable and cool day out!

Worth it :)

Went on this tour with a small family from London who made the trip amazing, It was a long drive to the Volcano, the long trip was split to enjoy some rice fields, tea plantations, street side local fruits, then the Volcano, followed by a very good buffet lunch and a soak in some thermal springs, the guide was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to ensure we all had a great time :), the tour was worth it :)

Wonderful Day in the Countryside

This is a fun day trip that helps you escape the hustle and bustle of Jakarta. It's a long day but very much worth it. Both my guide Benny and my driver Mr. One (probably not the way you spell the name, sorry) were delightful and so fun to be around. I loved seeing the volcano and enjoyed the stops on the way including the fruit stall the tea plantation and the luwak coffee farm. Thank you!
