I spent three weeks attending morning yoga sessions with Ashok. Being a complete beginner, I appreciated his ability to tailor the sessions to my level and preferences. Throughout the days, I noticed significant progress in my practice. Ashok is truly delightful; his English proficiency is adequate, and the post-yoga tea sessions provided a wonderful opportunity for camaraderie. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience

Rooftop yoga with experienced teacher Ashok

My boyfriend and I had a yoga session with Ashok on our own on his rooftop of his home. We absolutely loved it. Ashok is an experienced yoga teacher and taught us the basic positions as well as breathing exercises which we can't wait to practice ourselves. Afterwards we had tea with his family. It was an incredible experience and a highlight of our trip. What an amazing memory to have! I definitely recommend him!

Best Authentic Experience in India

The yoga guru was a great guy with a lovely sense of humor. In one session, I learned more about yoga and how to focus the mind than hundreds of videos on Youtube.

Really authentic yoga class with a lovely family at their home. About an hour followed by tea. Some interesting elements of yoga that are different to what you might experience in the UK, esp the breath-work. Really nice time.

Enjoyable yoga class

I enjoyed the class and learned a lot! It was quite informal, I liked the location on the rooftop and as it was near the kite festival it was lovely to see all the children playing with the kites. After the class we shared a delicious cup of tea. Ashok was a good teacher and made sure I was doing the poses right. Definitely a nice experience!

Unique experience

Amazing yoga class. If you want to experience an authentic yoga class this is the best way. I have learned some amazing new breathing techniques . I am recommending it 💯

Culture experience I loved so much

This was one of the best experiences, being welcomed into somebodies home and world to learn about them and what they do is treasure. The yoga gave insight into traditional every day practice you can do a home, it’s basics everybody should know. The cooking class was so fun and I learned how they use basic spices to bring a dish to life. Both experiences are worth it.

Yoga Class In Jaipur

Fun roof top yoga class in Jaipur. Turning up we did not know what to expect but it was a really fun class with an excellent yoga instructor. It was different to yoga we have previously done (as novices) but very fun and left us feeling energised and loose.

Family first yoga experience

We loved morning yoga with Mr.Ashok! He was very patient with our family, as we are all beginners in yoga. It was my parents first time and this was an experience totally out of their comfort zone but our instructor made them feel comfortable and confident. We are lucky to have met Mr. Ashok and his beautiful family. This is a must do Indian cultural experience!

Interesting traditional yoga class

It was my first time doing a yoga class. It was interesting learning about the traditional yoga methods. Ashok Sharma was really friendly and also adapted good to my yoga level. We had a nice chat afterwards, I can recommend doing it!

I was the only participant and had a relaxing one-on-one lesson! In addition to the lessons, I was able to meet the teacher's home and family, and was able to learn about life in India and how deeply rooted yoga is in people's lives. The lesson content was taught in English in an easy-to-understand manner, and he taught me not only this lesson but also to make it easy for me to continue on my own in the future! I had some experience with hot yoga in Japan, so she taught me in a way that even beginners could easily understand! Thank you very much for the truly valuable experience. I would love for you to come to Japan and teach authentic yoga to Japanese people!

Nice yoga rooftop experience

I really enjoyed my yoga session with Mr. Ashok, and his son sukret. It was a lovely setting on his rooftop, so peaceful and a great way to start the day. The visit included tea and biscuits made by his wife , and also taxi pickup from my hotel. If you are interested in yoga and enjoy meeting people I recommend this trip

Authentic Yoga Experience

Wonderful authentic yoga classes in the heart of Jaipur. I enjoyed being on the calm and cool rooftop that felt like an escape. Ashok is a skilled, fun and humble teacher who took the time to demonstrate and correct my yoga practice. I recommend these classes!!

Very knowledgeable

The yoga was very enjoyable. Ashok is very knowledgeable. We have done yoga before many times but we still learned some new poses and ideas from Ashok. After yoga we were invited to have breakfast with him and had a lovely time meeting his family. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Jaipur.

Yoga experience

We enjoyed our yoga session this morning. We were picked up from our homestay and dropped off at Ashrok’s home, where he took us up to the rooftop. It was early, so the sun was too low and it wasn’t too hot! He took us through different moves and breathing exercises, which seemed to be his daily routine. He made sure to give us tips as we went, as both of us are fairly new to yoga, so we could get the most out it. We then had a lovely cup of chai and chatted to his kind family. Definitely an authentic experience in Jaipur!

Wonderful morning of rooftop yoga

Wonderful yoga experience. A driver picked us up and dropped us off to and from our hotel. He was attentive to our abilities and limits and pushed us in a very rewarding way. The views from the rooftop were nice also, with a distant view of amber fort. He was engaging conversationally and his English was good! We also enjoyed meeting his kind family and seeing his humble home.

Overall, highly recommend this yoga class. The rooftop was a wonderful ambiance and Ashok is extremely knowledge. Definitely an unforgettable experience!

Fantastic Experience

This was my first yoga class and the teacher was fantastic in not only teaching me yoga techniques, but also the meanings and reasons behind them. He also did not overwhelm me with information and gave me enough to understand the overall picture. The yoga left me feeling great, and the rooftop setting was picturesque. We finished with some tea and biscuits which was a really nice touch. Can't recommend this enough! A must do if you are in Jaipur!!

Recommend for yoga

Did three yoga lessons, first two were introductory, took it slowly. In the third one we put it all together. A fairly strict teacher with a kind side, do recommend.

Good Learning Class

It was my first yoga class and the teacher was really patient and taught me a lot about yoga. We had a lot of fun. After class he provided Indian tea and cookies. I definetly recommend it!

The Real Deal

Thought in USA my Yoga practice was good, but today I learned something: here it is the authentic practice which I will now take home. Ashok is very good and well disciplined. I can’t help but now go back and search for the real thing. It was a real pleasure to have this one on one with him, he is most kind. Thank you Ashok, and the bonus was meeting Sukret and his family! Yoga as a way to deeply descover Indian culture

I've stayed in Jaipur for six weeks, guided by the aim of truly descovering Indian culture in a way that wouldn't made me feel like a tourist: and learning yoga at Ashok's house was all I was about to need. Always been fascinated by yoga and meditation, I had never had the opportunity to try it in Italy - and now, after having come back home with a basic knowledge of this amazing subject and the necessary abilities to continue practicing by myself - I'm glad that my first approach to yoga was aware and authentically Indian like the one I experienced with Ashok: every lesson started at 8am with some body-warming exercises, followed by a sequence of asana; after that, our teacher explained us how to meditate concentrating on our breathe and energy by showing us a series of pranayama. Always disposable to answer all our questions and concerns (not only about yoga, but about India in general), Ashok revealed himself to be a curious and knowledgeable man which was very easy and pleasurable to talk with. And, at the end, a delicious cup of masala tea was always offered us - with the extraordinary way of hosting people that never as in that country I found before. Absolutely recommended!

Yoga with Mr Ashok

Yoga with mr Ashok has been one the most impactful experience since arriving in India. Me and my husband have been attempting to practice yoga in China for a few months and were delighted to find out that the volunteer project coordinator could connect us to a local yoga teacher, his father mr Ashok, specialising in tradition Indian practices and healing techniques. We were very lucky to join the existing yoga group. Ashok and his family made us feel very welcome and we knew we’d be back after the first class. Imagine learning about traditional asanas from a local man in Jaipur, during an hour of yoga class, on a roof top that overlooks the Jaipur city, bathed in the morning sun. It really doesn’t get any better than that. We’re very grateful to Mr Ashok, for guiding us through our first authentic yoga experience and inspiring us to continue with the practices we learnt and to discover more. Mr Ashok taught us as a small group and spent time explaining each movement in detail along with the benefits to our mind and body. He took the time to work with us individually to ensure we made progress together every class. We are also warmed by the friendly discussions over delicious ginger and masala tea after class, and so many moments of laughter as a group, we all had the most wonderful time. Thank you Mr Ashok.

Yoga, life lessons, and good company with the kundalini master Ashok

It’s taken me awhile to leave this review as the time I spent with Ashok was back in January, but the imprint he has left on me will be forever valued, cherished, and put to good use! I was fortunate enough to spend my mornings in the lovely home of Ashok for 3 weeks while volunteering in Jaipur through Volunteering with India. On our first meeting he greeted me with such kindness and compassion and I felt as if we had already knew each other, because he truly treats you as a great friend. I felt comfortable and guided in his presence instantly. He has been studying yoga for many decades and truly is so knowledge and in my eyes quite the master! He is accommodating to many different levels, whether you are a beginner or intermediate. He throughly explains the poses and the benefits on the body and mind. It truly was such a fulfilling part of my experience and a magical way to start the day each morning in beautiful Jaipur. After yoga we would have chai on his rooftop and exchange stories. That was such a lovely bonus and a highlight of my day. You may even get lucky enough to get a palm reading from him as he has studied palmistry! Thank you Ashok for sharing your wisdom, time, and kindness with me... I will appreciate the life lessons for all my years to come!

Great experience

I visited youga class of Ashok Sahrma in July 2019. I was picked up from the hotel and brought back after the class. Driver was punctual and friendly. I practiced yoga for half a year before. The class of Ashok was very useful and interesting. He is patient and kind teacher, who makes sure that student understand how to make asana right. Strongly recommended for all who is interested in yoga.

I have been doing yoga with Mr Ashok for 10 days and I enjoyed every moment. He has experience of more than 40 years, but besides that he is good and wise man and full of positive energy. I couldnt ask for better teacher for my first time yoga experience. If you are in Jaipur and you need yoga classes, you are on right place.

È stata una meravigliosa lezione!Abbiamo iniziato con l'hatha sun salutation, abbiamo fatto esercizi d pranayama e fatto alcune asana. Mr. Ashok trasmette calma e sicurezza. La mattinata si è conclusa con un ottimo tè. Consigliatissimo.

DAVVERO FANTASTICO

Ho fatto Yoga insieme a Mr. Ashok sul terrazzo di prima mattina ed è stata un'esperienza davvero fantastica. Il maestro è davvero in grado di coinvolgere anche chi come me non pratica abitualmente yoga. Se passate da Jaipur ve lo consiglio caldamente.
