Clan Tour - OUTLANDER series and Loch Ness

The most AMAZING tour!

10/10! 5 stars! We had an ‘Outlander tour’ with George and it was one of the most amazing experiences! George is so knowledgeable when it comes to Scottish history. We learned and saw SO much on this tour. If you are an Outlander fan, you HAVE to book an Outlander tour with George. I left the Highlands with so much insight and amazing memories after this tour.

Tremendous time with George - would highly recommend to anyone visiting Scotland that wants a unique and knowledgeable tour. The Outlander tour was a blast, both informative and entertaining!

Stress-free way to cover a lot of ground and learn so much along the way!

10/10 recommend for anyone visiting Inverness, especially if you’re not from Scotland (we’re from the US). George efficiently covered so many things we wanted to do in one day that would have been logistically tricky for us to do being totally unfamiliar with the area. And regardless of whether or not you’re familiar with Outlander, everyone will learn a lot about the city, surrounding areas, and Scottish history. George was so friendly and offered many opportunities to take photos along the way. Don’t be daunted by the length of the tour — he makes it so easy and relaxing by taking the stress of driving out of the equation. He also took us to beautiful places we didn’t even know existed and never would have seen otherwise. It was truly a memorable experience. Thank you for everything, George!

Perfect Day in Inverness!

We had an extremely lovely day touring around Inverness with George! He picked us up from Bunchrew house on time in a clean, spacious van and off we went. George took us to many places that inspired things for the show Outlander, including one filming spot, and was so knowledgeable about everything. After Culloden Battlefield, he even squeezed in one extra stop for us at the end. We were able to see so many beautiful sites around Inverness with George pointing out and explaining everything along the way, stopping for great photo opportunities. Would highly recommend this tour for anyone, Outlander fan or not that wants to have a wonderful day traveling around Inverness!

Good day tour, saw the stones and the guide was informative. The vehicle could of been a bit cleaner but still a house day.

A great Outlander focused tour with a fun, knowledgeable guide in a kilt!

This tour is great fun for Outlander fans, and even if you haven’t seen Outlander it’s still a fantastic day out! George our kilted tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a great variety of things to see and experience throughout the day. Clava cairns and Culloden are just a couple of the highlights. Oh and meeting Jamie Fraser!

Best day ever

George was so knowledgeable about local history and Outlander. He went out of his way to make our day the best ever, he even added more stops to our tour. 100% recommend this tour to Outlander and history fans.

Nothing after paid for tour.

By happening or at least being told it is not happening. We booked and paid the night before and were left stranded at our hotel. We left messages and emails but no response.

Wonderful, inspirational tour through the highlands

We had the most wonderful time. George was the best tour guide we could wish for. He gives you more insight about the wonderful culture en nature. He takes you with him in his stories. he is funny to All together we had the best time in the highlands and we are definitely coming back for more. I liked Scotland before now I love it

Is it too soon to book again? Nah!!

My husband and I traveled from the States to see all things Outlander and this tour did NOT disappoint! Thomas was our guide and he was awesome. When he got out of the van with a Mohawk and a kilt I knew it was going to be a good day! Very knowledgeable about the area and told us so many interesting facts that we had never known. From Castle Leod to Culloden Moor, the trip was amazing! Planning a return trip is already in the works and we will absolutely book with GHD tours again! Thanks again, Tom! And keep on rocking out!

Standing Stones lived up...

Standing Stones lived up to expectations of magical, mysterious, etc. Tom, the guide, appropriately dressed in kilt, very knowledgable about history.

The Best Private Tour in Northern Europe !

Our tour couldn’t have been any better! George has so much information it’s amazing ! He is so well spoken and knowledgeable 5 stars seems to me far too low. Our group of 11 would honestly give him 100 A+ . Can’t wait to visit the area again and will definitely book with him !

Awesome

George was a great guide and knew a wealth of information about the area, we were running about an hour behind and he made the most of every minute we had. He kept us informed and laughing at times too. He knew all the best sites and great stories to go with them. He gave us access to areas that other guides wouldn’t go, which was funny at times, but much appreciated. He even gave us background insight to local communities that had nothing to do with Outlander, but it was great to hear about the history of such a beautiful area.

Fantastic experience overall

This was probably our best experience in Scotland. Our guide, George, was exceptionally entertaining and very informative. Loved his sense of humor and honesty about historical sites. We only wish we had known about the other amazing tours he offers- we would have exclusively booked with him! I’d absolutely recommend the private Outlander tour, as we not only visited all the main Outlander sites but some beautiful additional sites as well (nature and historical!)-very much worth the price and then some!

Great Tour - so fun.

George is the coolest. He’s hilarious and has such personality and he’s like a silver-fox, fast talking bossy (in a kind way) gentleman Scotsman. He adds to the tour in so many ways. Loves Scotland and showing it’s history, features and beauty to everyone. In addition to seeing the inspiration for the outlander series, we saw woods and fields, waterfalls and wildflowers, coos cows and giant magical 200 year old beech and pine trees at many stops - this was a bonus! Also snuck into castles and driveways for photo opps- George asks to take many photos for you and I’m so glad he did because they came out great so let him take those pics. We saw where the Beatles played on an old bandstand where we stopped for a delicious fast lunch in a beautiful village. Highly recommend. We did so much in one day. Culloden was wonderful, the waterfall and magical woodsy walks were perfect. Truly recommend this if you want to see and feel the area but have only one day or like our friends did- they’d booked him 3 days in a row even to go to Skye. We called his contact info to check in the day before and he answered right away, he even came to grab us at our hotel. He’s a class act and his kilt and cool hunting jacket blew all the other tour guides away. His van made us crack up-so awesome. School kids cheered when we drove past. Once we turned our backs and other tourists were begging George for photos and by the end we believe he’s a local celebrity!! Really laughed and smiled all day. Great tour and guide.

Most Amazing Tour Possible!!

If you take one tour during your visit to Inverness, you will want to seek out George (the original Scot Tour Guide in a Kilt). George treats each and everyone of his guests as family. He is beyond knowledgeable and one of the most honest person I have met. He will make sure you s e and learn everything you could ever want. I had the pleasure and honor of spending a whole day with George on his Outlander tour. I’m a handicapped person and I was traveling alone. I have to admit I reached out to many tour companies and not one would accommodate me with being only one person l, but then I spoke to George and even though he didn’t have any tours booked on the day I wanted, he went above and beyond and took me on my very own private tour. None of the big companies would do this but George did. The tour was amazing and I had the best time of my life. It was the highlight of my trip. So if you want a fantastic tour by a guide that truly cares about his guests then you MUST book with GHD Clan tours and make sure to please tell George I said Hello!!!

Clan tour around Inverness

George was amazing and had loads of information for anyone wanting to see Scotland. He talked about the clans in depth and had the history of Scotland to a tea. The kindest man and truly worth the time. George shared his knowledge of the entire region and took us through some precious small towns and sights not on the tour listed. He took his time and was not in a hurry. I would highly recommend George to anyone seeking a great tour guide!

Great local knowledge!

My husband, Michael, and I spent 6 hours with George today. We toured Outlander sites, the Culloden Battlefield, Loch Ness, the canal system, took the best photo of Urquhart Castle, and then took a beautiful backroad to Beauly (a lovely little town west of Inverness). George was on time, knowledgeable, kind snd funny. We were very informed and entertained. He can customize tours to suit your preferences. When we come back to Inverness, we will definitely ask George to show us more of the beauty of the Highlands.

A memorable day!

We had the pleasure of being the only two people on George's Outlander Tour through the highlands in February. Despite our worst fears of miserable winter weather, we were blessed with a beautiful sunny day out. George was accommodating and very knowledgeable of the local history and made our day one we will not soon forget! We loved seeing all the significant places in the inspiration and filming of Outlander and walking around with a true Scot in a kilt! What a wonderful day!! :)

Wonderful

A group of 4 friends from Brazil and one need: to do the Outlander circuit. What we found was much better than a simple tour: it was a history lesson! What a delightful ride! So much knowledge of Scottish history in one day! It was a wonderful and unforgettable tour that I definitely recommend!!!
