Easy one stop shop for premium wine tours

I booked a group tour for 23 people to mark my 40th birthday and had the most wonderful day. Our host Dan was lovely and friendly and kept us on schedule while being a dream to deal with. Most of my guests were from interstate and everyone raved about what a perfect day it was. As the person organising it, I have to say it was a pleasure at every step and I wouldn’t hesitate to book something again. Thank you to the entire team, I appreciate the effort you put in to making it the perfect day.

Tassie wine experience

Had a wonderful experience at Derwent Valley wines and a great tour guide. Just 4 of us but a cosy group. A full day tasting lovely Tasmanian Rieslings and Pinot noir's... a great day!

Great tour

A great tour that took us some excellent wineries with a good selection of wines, we had a great guide who was knowledgeable and friendly.

Geno made the day!

We went in the winter so was lucky enough to have a private tour! Geno made so much effort to make us feel comfortable and shared both their knowledge of wine but also the area - giving us great tips for our trip overall. He was smashing!

Hobart - definitely worth a visit

Gorgeous scenery. all seemed very clean. Not overly expensive. Amazing seafood. Excellent customer service everywhere. Glad we went inn apple season too

Would recommend

Tim, the guide, was great - friendly, knowledgeable, and a conversationalist. You get quite a large number of tastings so you do get bang for your buck in my opinion, although don't expect any tours or walks through barns, storage sheds, or vineyards, or a demo of the wine-making processes, as pictured in the photos...imagine standard wine tastings at a table, and maybe a chance to walk around depending on time. The wineries we visited were Derwent Estate, Pressing Matters, Pooley Wines, and Every Man and His Dog. *The calamari at Wattlebanks was average - overcooked but still edible. We got about 10 minutes between ordering lunch and getting the food, which most of us used to go outside and look at the surrounding stores.

Delicious & Delightful Experience!

It was a rainy day, but our guide/driver helped to make it a delightful experience. At the first winery we tasted 11 different wines which were accompanied by a variety of cheeses & crackers. The host explained each wine and answered questions. The second two wineries were not as personable as the first one, but the wines were good. The last winery was a great way to finish the day as we were served wines paired with on-site made chocolates.

Drive yourself

The tour bus was cramped, only 2 of the stated 4 wineries visited. 2 others took their place including a chocolate/dog place, hardly a reputable winery. We sat at a table looking at junk in the nearby carport/house. No lunch included , unlike the Bruny Is tour for a similar price. Tour guide was nice but not one of my favourite winery tours, especially for the price.

Wine everywhere

Most wineries were so accommodating and explained each type of wine to be tasted. Loved the chocolate wine pairings. Had a fun day!

Great Tas wine tour!

The wineries were great. We tried a couple dozen wines at four wineries. Derwent Estate Wines poured 12 wonderful wines. Pinots were great all over.

A day of wine in Tasmania

Gino was our guide and there were just the 4 of us on the tour so basically we had our own personal guide. Gino was very informative and friendly, it was like being driven around the wineries by an old friend. Great wines, chocolates and experience.

Great first day in Tasmania

Excellent in every way and exceeded all expectations. Our leader, Chris,was very helpful and knowledgeable and patient when we exceeded the projected time allotment. Our group, in spite of coming from 3 countries with an age span of 50 years, all seemed to have a great time. The wines tasted at 4 different wineries were all of very good quality.

Be a wine Tasmaniac!!!

Small group, well-paced, 7 hour tour to 4 wineries with samples of more than two dozen wines. A cheese platter was served at the first stop, chocolate pairings at the last.

Superb wine experince!

Wonderful day with an experienced guide looking perfectly after us. Wines and vineyards were super interesting and all the stuff knowledgeable, friendly and some quite charismatic. A wide variety of wines covered every taste. Thx for this amazing day!

Very good day out, good selection of wineries. Plenty of time to relax. Would recommend. Great way to see some of the tassie countryside.

Ben was an excellent...

Ben was an excellent guide and I had a thoroughly enjoyable day. There was a small group of us from Australia, IS and UK who all got along really well which made the day all the more pleasurable!

A fun day out

Friendly host. Interesting itinerary. Plenty to drink. A very enjoyable day- longer than expected. Some lovely wines tasted.

A nice experience that can recommend

I took this tour based on people's feedback. This is my story: 1. The ad states meeting point at the Pier. It will be good to have some indication of the tour guide. I am not comfortable asking people since in some ocassions some of them were offended. 2. The driver was polite and drove safely. 3. The morning coffee, tea or other beverage is provided by the tour Co. It is a nice touch. 4. In the first stop we tested 11 wines and were given a cheese platter. It was nice overlooking the river. 5. The second stop was beautiful since the new tasting place was opened only 2 months ago. The wines were really good. 6. We had lunch in Richmond and the food portions were quite big. 7. The last 2 stops were close to Richmond and to each other. 8. Mainly you will taste White Wines (Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Chardonnay) and Red (Pinot Noir). I guess these are the varieties that grow in the region. 9. The driver dropped me in my hotel. This was a bonus. From my perspective I will rate it as Very Good.

Wow! Great day! We tried a wonderful selection of wines, enjoyed our leader Emma so much and the group was just good fun. Safe bus, great wineries and a yummy cheese platter. Would highly recommend

Wine down Tasmania

Enjoyed a fabulous time on this wine tour. I tasted several wines that I will definitely add to my wine cellar on a regular basis. We weren't rushed, had an ideal group size, and got a chance to experience Tasmanian wine. Highly recommended.

What a day!

My partner and I enjoyed the company of 3 other couples and some singles. We visited some amazing wineries, enjoyed a nice lunch and tasted chocolate at the end. What a great day! Highly recommend!

Exceptional

Ben was such a personable, knowledgeable and passionate guide. His insightful commentary and genuine interest in our preferences made our experience as novice wine drinkers an unforgettable one. Highly recommend this tour with Ben.

Architecture, History, Wines and Food

Great tour from the very start with our tour guide. So informative, friendly and relaxing. The beautiful buildings at all the vineyards are amazing and cellar door experience was lux.

Very Good trip, Ben was great. No shortage of wine tasting and to finish off with wine and chocolate was awesome.

Intimate and personal

Amazing day spent with 4 others on this intimate wine tour. Our guide Tim was outstanding - knowledgeable, engaging and obviously well respected by the wineries we visited. Wineries were amazing and all very different but Craigow was next level. Highly recommend

Great wine and great guide

Our guide, Ben was absolutely fantastic. He knew all about the local produce, not just wine, beer, gin, liqueur and cider. He was able to answer every question I had in a professional and informative way and made the experience interactive. The wine tasting was fabulous and I think doing 4 wineries instead of 5 was a great idea. We had a little unexpected issue with our last wine tasting which meant we were unable to do it but Ben took us to an improv wine tasting to make sure we had all 4. A fantastic day with an awesome guide.

A Fantastic Experience!

A fantastic experience which both my husband and I enjoyed very much. Best part of our holiday to Hobart, to be honest! Emma was a fantastic guide who went out of her way to make the tour a great day out for everyone. Her knowledge about wines and the wine making process was top notch, and she was very accommodating of our group who got a bit "distracted" along the way! I would highly recommend this tour if you want to get around to see some amazing wineries and taste many delicious wines.

This is was a fun experience and Tim was an excellent guide! We learned a lot through both our brains and our tastebuds. It’s such a great way to see Tasmania and to meet new people along the way. 10/10 would recommend!

The Best wine tasting in Hobart.

We loved out tour guide Jeremy and the wine venues were wonderful. Loved the wine and chocolate pairing at Every Man % His Dog vineyard! Highly recommended.

Fantastic fun wine tour

This was such a fun and informative wine tour. I was lucky and was on the tour with a fantastic friendly group of people. Ben started the day with a great icebreaker and was a fantastic guide. We went to a good mix of wineries and the tour felt like very good value for money. Really couldn't fault the day!

Great wine tour--well worth the day trip

Great wine tour. Small group of fun people. A good variety of wineries and wines. Our guide/driver, Gino, was friendly and knew a lot about wines and about the beautiful countryside we drove through. We've been on many wine tours around the world. This one was at or near the top.

Excellent day out !

A fabulous day out in Hobart visiting 4 beautiful yet very different wineries. Great tasting, gorgeous scenery and so much wonderful information about the wine and wine regions of Tassie. Our host Tim was brilliant! A day not to be forgotten and well worth the trip !

Wholesome Tasmanian wine experience

Beautiful wineries and knowledgeable and passionate owners who created an intimate experience for us. Ben was an awesome driver/host who provided lots of knowledge about wines and Tasmania culture and was great just to chat to. Would recommend to do this as a way to experience some of the more smaller and boutique wineries.

Wine tour

Tim was an excellent guide, very welcoming and fun. He made the experience one to remember. It was a highlight of our trip. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in wine. The winery's visited on the tour were exceptional, and we enjoyed trying a variety of delicious wines.

Fabulous day wine tasting

Fantastic day out, tasting wine. Small group definitely the way to go. We were 7 but can be up to 11. Tim our guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable about the vineyards we were visiting. Started the day all having coffee and introducing ourselves which really set the scene for the day. Great start at Derwent estate Vineyard where we tried 11 different wines, cheese and crackers were provided, the girl serving the wine was really friendly, letting us take our time and savouring the moment. Lovely sitting by the fire. Then it was on to a small boutique winery Merryworth, where the owner Mark hosted the wine tasting. It was lovely to hear his story and his passion for his wine. This was our favourite of the day and the best Pinot of the day. Lunch was at the Wattle bank cafe. Wonderful food, the salt and pepper squid fantastic. Pooley wines was the third vineyard and disappointing. We were really looking forward to Pooley as it had been recommended by a friend. We got to taste 4 wines, the guy serving seemed to be just going through the motions, felt more commercial, less of the personal touch. The last stop at Craigow was amazing. Barry the owner joined us in the wine tasting, very passionate about what he grows and what he likes. The sparkling Merlot is amazing. Absolutely fantastic trip well worth the money.

11/10 - worth every cent

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and recommend it to anyone who wants to get to know the Tasmanian wine scene. Our host/driver (Tim) was very helpful and informative. The vehicle was roomy and comfortable. We met interesting people on our tour and there was never a lull in the conversation.

Excellent!

Spent an amazing day with friends and made two new friends as we were driven to and from four fantastic wineries. The wine was superb with more than generous different samples, the company was terrific and our guide/driver Gino was interesting and top notch who safely navigated us back and forth. Well worth it.

Outstanding wine tour

First Class all the way is the only way to describe this tour. Our tour guide Tim met us in a modern, clean vehicle with our great guide Tim. Great range of wineries and amazing food. Highly recommend.

Friendly atmosphere great tour!

Tasmania Wine Tour

This was such a great winery tour! It was so lovely to visit boutique wineries around Tasmania and spend time with the owners. It was very personal and the wine was superb.

Toured with Patrick

Fantastic wine tour with a super knowledgeable host, this was the most I have ever learnt about wine and it was all due to Patrick our driver who asked us detailed questions and gave an amazing quantity and quality of information. The vineyards he chose were beautiful with a fantastic selection and generous tastings.
