The walk was great and the caves were outstanding. Trevor the guide was very good. The hot pools though were disappointing, barely warm at all. Overall a good trip

Despite a light drizzle we decided to give the airwalk a go and what a great decision it was. There’s a walk for everyone here and we did them all. Included in your entry ticket is a guided walk to introduce you to the forest and Bill, our tour guide was brilliant; knowledgeable, funny and clearly totally engaged in the environment he kept us interested for an hour and we walked away just that little bit more knowledgeable! Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience the temperate rainforest. The airwalk was surprisingly not scary and gives a great perspective on the canopy!

Great AirWalk and Cave discovery

A good idea if you are staying in Hobart

Had a really good day the Tahune Airwalk was a beautiful walk it’s a good hike if you have nice weather and the cave at Hastings is a really good experience as well unfortunately for my particular tour the thermal springs was closed but overall really good day I highly recommend if you are staying in Hobart.

Fun, active day out in nature!

This was such a fun day! Our tour guide Nick was amazing, knowledgeable and you could tell he loves what he does! We felt safe and taken care of the entire day and learnt so much about Tasmania’s history as well as the native flora and wild life. Well worth the money and was a terrific experience!

Great tour

I appreciated the fact that it was a small group. Our guide was very informative and helpful. All in all it was a great experience.

A first rate adventure

One of the best tours I've undertaken. Trevor is a first rate guide and provides comprehensive and enthusiastic insight into the areas/towns/environments travelled through, especially re the local flora, which is incredible. Both the airwalk and Newdegate cave are amazing experiences. The whole day was an absolute joy. Essential!

Totally Worth the Money

This was an excellent full day tour of three great events. It's a fairly long drive to the Huon Valley through Kingston but very lovely, lots to see. Keep in mind that the Skywalk is about a 2 hour walk on this tour and that there is a lot of steps. You need to be fairly fit and a regular walker. It was a brisk walk but you don't have to do all of it , you could sit in the cozy kiosk and enjoy bush views or just do a short walk and go up to the canterlever part. There are also two suspension bridges as well and the skywalk is very high up. All very safe. The thermal pool is a fun swim. 28 degrees, so warm in but cold underfoot. Very hot showers when changing and open fires for warming up, great fun. Be brave! The Caves are close by and magnificent. Lots of steps but absolutely worth the trip. Very safe and talented tour guide. A really fun active day, we'll worth the money. Take a packed lunch and plenty of nibbles. 😁

Cannot recommend enough

An amazing experience all round! We were the only couple on the tour and despite the company likely losing money by only taking us around they still did and treated us like a full group. Trevor (I hope I’m remembering his name correctly) our tour guide, was amazing. He was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and a safe driver. We ended up leaving knowing a lot more about Tasmania’s native flora, caves, and hot springs and had many awesome photos as memories. I can definitely recommend this to others who are on the fence about going, and am grateful to Tours Tasmania for such a great day out.

Tour was great

The experience was great! If you’d like walking this is the one to go for. If you’re not a regular walker or elderly, you might find it a little difficult. The tour guide Nick was excellent, very thorough and calm. We wish we had more time enjoying the hot thermal pool. If they could fit this event to the trip would be great. Highly recommended.

Spectacular Caves and nice day trip!

Great trip adequate spacing between activities and Dave shared a lot about the place. Would recommend this as one of the day trip out of Hobart!

Incredible nature

Fruitful and enriching day tour full of geological discoveries and knowledge by the very experienced and nice guide, David. Recommended for those who like forests and caves.

Great

My partner and I have been to a lot of caves in our time and we rate this one quite highly with well formed stalactites and some stalagmites. Yes this is a long trip from Hobart but is broken up with the sky walk and a lunch stop before the caves. Our guide was very informative and friendly. I rate this as a must do if you like caves.

Tahune Airwalk and Hastings Caves

This tour was an unexpected day in Tasmania (booked just two days before). Huw was an energetic and informative guide with a great sense of humor. The caves were spectacular and the air walk was a fun adventure! Huw kept us engaged with local history and practical information about Tasmania. He clearly loves his home! It was a fine way to spend a day outside of Hobart.

A long long long day.

A long long long day being driven to our final destination and then home, a bit dissapointing when we got there, caves not that great.

A must do on your travels.

This is such a fantastic place to visit. It is so well worth the drive. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. I was unable to walk the 100 steps to the entrance and then 70 steps back. So, one of the staff drove me to the entrance on the buggy. The walk was so wonderful, and it is elevated so high from the ground. The different vantage points are so great, and they offer unforgettable panoramic views. Well worth the entrance fee. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Lots of stairs

We all had a great time but the stairs are a killer. Lots of walking but for our group in our senior years we found the stairs very difficult to navigate. We all slept well when we got back to our hotel.

Excellent walks through the trees, over swinging bridges and through the Huon Pines

A 35 minute drive inland from Geeveston brings you to the Tahune Air Walk and other adventures. We started with the Airwalk that takes you across the treetops ending with a Cantilever hanging out towards the Huon River for a lovely view, even on a rainy day and with the cantilever moving it's well worth a visit. Can also recommend the Swinging Bridges Walk and Huon Pine Walk.

Top Notch

Great tour and a very skilled and knowledgeable local tour guide Ash. Started off with a short drive from Hobart to the park. The air walk gave you a different perspective of the forest. Be sure to do the full walk around the park to experience the bridges over the river. And then a short drive out to Hastings cave. Met with staff that work specifically at the cave from the park. They are extremely knowledgeable of all facets of the cave and the history. Walked us through all chambers of the cave. Pictures turned out phenomenal. The age of the cave and the beauty within are mind blowing. You definitely will enjoy this tour. Thank you Ash.

An interesting and relaxing tour.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The tour guide was very friendly and helpful. He managed to changed the cave tour and the thermal pool times around which was much better. Would highly recommend this to anyone interested in caves and/or tree top walks.

Excellent value for money

The Tour guide was fantastic and had an immense amount of knowledge about the area, very informational and made the trip even more enjoyable.

Give Tahune Tour a skip.

A very long bus drive which was broken up by a waste of time 20 min stop at Huonville at the start of the day which could have been added to time spent at the spots you paid money to go to. Tahune has nowhere near recovered from the 2019 bushfires so the vegetation was sparse and the airwalk very disappointing. I would advise people not to bother going there for some years. Insufficient time spent at location to enable all activities to be completed. The Hastings cases was a good tour with an informative guide, The Thermal Pool is average considering the thermal pool is basically a heated pool. The short walk from the pool was ok but nothing special. Long drive back to Hobart was broken by the driver stopping to buy some apples whilst indicating you would not be able to take them home with you due to border restrictions but indicated perhaps someone could buy a bag for everyone to share. Perhaps the tour company could fork out the measly $3 a bag to facilitate such an option. Other issues was it was the only time in our week in Hobart that we had to wear masks.

Bridges, stalactites, stalagmites and jummy apples

Small groups, great guide/driver, lovely day out walking in nature, crossing high bridges and rivers. Hastings cave guide very knowledgeable and great to see so many different formations. A nice treat at end, passing by to get apples from a local farm (bring some coins). Thank you!

The caves were awesome

The caves were awesome and the airwalk was a nice experience in the mist, however I would suggest you don't do it if you're scared of heights.

A must do if you visit Hobart

Fantastic day trip. Well-organised and well-paced. Our tour guide Nicolas looked after us so well. Highly recommended.

Loved the Caves

It was a long day and lots of driving but well worth it. I have some mobility issues and chose not to do the sky walk but still had a lovely walk down the the river and a very nice coffee at the information centre. My adult nieces did do the walks and said that they were fantastic. Nicholas the guide was very knowledgeable and looked after us well, except for feeding us pepper berries lol. The Hasting caves were what I came for and they were excellent. The tour guide was so patient with me and even got me out a chair to sit for a minute mid cave tour, so lovely of her. Such a beautiful cave system well worth all the steps.

My wife and I had a great...

My wife and I had a great time on this tour. We had a nice small group this day, which made for a different experience than the larger tour groups. Lots of lovely nature to explore both above and below. Nice little bookend to pick up some fresh apples on the way home.

The Tahune area tour was an unforgettable trip. One not to be missed

The highlights of the tour were- The thrill of walking on the 40m high airwalk with lovely views. Crossing the Cable bridge over the river. The bush walks.Visiting the incredible Hastings Caves.

Terrific Tahune and Hastings caves!

The tour was absolutely fun and the amazing scenic trip is a win-win by itself. Our guide Nick is so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the local history and aspects of nature that it is contagious. We travel with two teenage daughters and the family loved every minute of it. Don't miss this one!

Quite a slow drive there but we’ll worth it

A long slow windy drive to these Tehune Adventures. But very impressive. We did the Airwalk, the Suspension Bridges walk, and the delightful Huon Pines walk. The giant stringybark Eucalyptus trees are amazing. The Huon Pine walk with the Tress Ferns and Man Ferns was great. The only problem was we arrived at 9 am and the place was inaccessible and not opened till 10 am - we can’t recall their website saying so. Highly recommended.

Lovely bush walking with good challenging swing bridges and Ariel treetop airwalk - can give shivers. But unmissable. Great picnic area. Take a picnic as the Cafe is very poor - very little on offer except expensive fried stuff, gift shop poor too. Staff a little offhand.

A great day :)

From the beginning of our day, when our incredible tour guide, Luke, picked us up, the vibe was very friendly and relaxed. Luke was very knowledgeable yet unpretentious, and very likeable - thank you, Luke, for a fabulous day!! The Tahune Airwalk and swinging bridges walks were incredible, with beautiful views of forest and river. Hastings Caves were spectacular - hopefully you get Simon as your cave tour guide too, as he was brilliant - a respectful and genuine acknowledgement of country, insightful cave information, and good humour. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the “thermal pool” - it is basically just a swimming pool with kids running around everywhere... not very peaceful at this time of year haha! But instead of swimming in the pool, there are options of nice, easy walks to take around the pool site instead (unfortunately the platypus was very elusive). The day was topped off by a visit to an amazing honey shop, with bees to observe, and honey whiskey to try (definitely try it! Amazing.).

Brilliant views and experienced all the season Tassie offered in a 2 hour wander. Amazing flora and fauna (trees so straight).

Great day out in nature!

This was a really fun trip! My guide David picked us up and took us to the cute town of Huonville to pick up lunch. We drove to the Tahune airwalk and stopped at a few lookouts along the way. The airwalk was breathtaking with beautiful views of the forest, rivers, and mountains. Our guide then took us on the swinging bridges walk and it was so fun - they really do swing! We went to the Hastings reserve and took a walk on the Hot Springs trail which was beautiful. We headed down for our tour of the caves, and it was absolutely stunning! The guides were so knowledgeable and it was a really fun day. We stopped at a farm on the way back to Hobart to pick up some fresh apples - delicious! Overall, it was a wonderful day!

High places and low places

Hanging out with Action Man was so much fun! He took us to see some great views (you know it’s a good one when the guide gets out the fancy camera). He agreed with all of my opinions about pop culture which is a definitely plus 👍🏿 We were super late getting back and he didn’t rub it in like I would have. He gave us a great introduction to Tas and even stopped to show us the wooden boats. Fantastic start to our tas trip!

A well worth trip to take when you...

<p>A well worth trip to take when you are in Hobart. The company contacted us prior to the trip to confirm the pick up location and time. The pick up on the day was smooth. Although the driver/ tour guide Nick is young, he is very experience, friendly and knowledgeable, especially in the fauna and flora of the bush. He took the time to know everyone and our names and make sure that he spend time with each and everyone of us. A very commendable attitude. We enjoyed the trip very much.</p>

Our tour guide Nick was fabulous, moving us seamlessly through the different activities of the day and incredibly knowledgeable on Australia’s flora and fauna. Great tour!

Beautiful destinations rich in nature and history

The destinations were beautiful, and our guide Dan was very knowledgeable with a cheeky sense of humour. I learned so much about the area's nature and history, especially Tasmania's forestry history, it was very interesting. The airwalk and caves were otherworldly, like scenes from Lord of the Rings. We even happened to see an echidna :) It's a lovely trip, would definitely recommend to fellow nature-lovers and amateur geologists.

Our driver Nick was very informative. He had a lot of information about the plants and trees. The air walk was great and don't forget about the hanging bridges.The caves were great.

A great full day!

The pick up was on time and we were warmly welcomed by our friendly and attentive tour guide nick. He explained the plan for the day and as we travelled he filled us in on all the surrounding history. Likewise during the Tahune air walk, and the rest of the day Nick was informative, interesting, he really knew his stuff, and helpful. A long, but very enjoyable day, made all the more interesting by our fabulous guide who really put us at ease, even when I rolled my ankle! Would highly recommend.

A varied day of scenery and...

<p>A varied day of scenery and activities. The airwalk is great and make sure you do the extra walk down via the suspension bridges. The pool at the springs was a bit disappointing, just looks like a surburban public pool, could do with some better landscaping. And then a change of pace with the caves.</p>

<p>I liked this day trip because it was a very active day. The tour was about 10 hours long and we only spent about 2-3 hours on the bus altogether. Dan was one of the best tour guides I've ver had. He was very knowledgeable and easy-going. The Tahune Airwalk was the highlight of my day and I am glad we got to do it, even though the weather didn't look that promising. The Hastings Caves were nice but I've seen better caves before Jenovlan Caves.</p>
