What a lovely experience! I was so happy! It was perfect for me, as it was my first time scuba diving. The instructors and staff were so kind and had very nice energy. They explained everything very well and gave us very helpful tips to make it easier. Highly recommended!

The cloth they provided...

The cloth they provided had holes and did not look hygienic. To top it all off, we met Lolli, the most horrible and rude human being we have ever encountered. She was rude to us non-stop and kept putting stuff or a bucket in front of our legs to make us uncomfortable. To make matters worse, she poured a jug full of water on top of her head, knowing that we were sitting on the bench, and we got splashed with the water. She didn't even say sorry, even though she realized what had happened. We felt so disrespected by her actions. Despite the rudeness and misbehavior from that one lady, most of the staff were very good and polite. And special thank to laura you are so good keep it up girl 😄

Snorkeling at Gold coast

Excellent snorkeling at wave break island. However I had to opt for snorkeling instead of dive since medical issue. Yet to get the differential amount back from Viator. Pl issue.

Awesome dive!!!

What an awesome dive! My partner and I are certified divers and went in a group with other divers with 2 instructors to lead us and show us some really cool stuff. We were originally in the ‘try dive’ because of a booking error but we simply just asked to be moved into the cert divers group. The instructors that were with us were Justin and Lollie and they were awesome! Great dive. Great people. Great day.

First time divers only - not for certified divers!

The description of this activity was completely misleading. As PADI Open Water certified divers, we were expecting to be able to do the experienced option of a self-guided dive, but instead we were stuck with a group of people who had zero experience. So much time was spent going over the basics and dealing with the newbies trying to figure out breathing and buoyancy under water that our dive was cut short. We had less time to enjoy the dive spot, which was actually pretty good. The staff were nice and professional at Queensland Scuba Diving Company, and they seemed just as surprised as we were that we ended up on the tour, so it must be Viator that is steering people in the wrong direction. If you are considering trying scuba diving for the first time, this is for you. But if you are experienced, don’t waste your money on this!! You’re better off booking directly through a dive shop so you know what you’re getting.

QLD scuba diving Company is good

Actually the diving was canceled twice due to bad weather conditions. I liked that QLD scuba diving Company’s safety first policy and communicated with me very well. On the other hand, it was very difficult to reach out TripAdvisor for refund request that I wasn’t happy about it.

Great Dive

I had a really great time with the team scuba diving. I’d booked it not knowing what to expect it and as someone who has dived a few times before, they then gave me the chance to have a good 1-1 dive where we explored more which I really appreciated. They offered pick up and drop off too which was super helpful.

Pls refund the money as the event was cancelled by the company

This scuba diving session was cancelled by the Queensland Scuba diving company due to bad weather. However they are unable to process the refund as i had done the booking through you (tripadvisor) and they requested me to contact you for the refund and they will process the same once you reach out to them. Your processes are so complicated as i could not find any category to claim refund for event cancellation. could you kindly help process the refund for the booking ref# Br-1071420687

Quite unique but not worth it

The instructor we were given was very rude, unprofessional, apathetic and unprepared. She eliminated 3 of my friends intentionally for various reason and only I get to scuba dive for barely 5 minutes under water.With the right instructor it definitely would have been a fun experience.

Intro to diving

Nice way to be introduced to diving, the people were lovely. Felt very safe and I’d definitely recommend. Saw some cute fish. Super accomodating, they came around and made sure you felt comfortable, extremely informative. Would even consider doing the Certification with them when I get the chance. It’s nice to have a enjoyable experience when you travel solo

Amazing diving experience

It was an amazing experience! Perfect for sea diving beginners. The price included induction, diving gear, instructor training and free pickup. It was absolutely beautiful in the ocean and will come back for premium diving next time.

It was such an amazing experience! A very well run business with a great atmosphere between their staff. Lolly was our instructor! She was amazing!! So patient and encouraging especially when some people were a bit nervous.

Ocean calls me, but sharks

Our instructor got some clams by cracking the stones at the bottom and let us feed little fish!! We also found various types of fish! Weather was not ideal but it was one of the best experiences I have ever done during my solo trip in Gold Coast.

Disappointing experience.

Extremely disappointed with the tour. Firstly, my wife, who is not very confident with swimming, was pushed into the water despite saying she didn't want to go first in first or was ready. Mind you, you are wearing a heavy suit with weights on top and a large tank for scuba diving. The person, who I think was the captain of the boat, was all but a delightful person. He didn't have a shred of compassion for someone new to scuba diving and was condescending, and outright very unprofessional in his conduct. He was the one who pushed her in. No toilets before boarding. Bad equipment - I wish they had suggested bringing your own. My scuba goggles kept flooding when in the water and were not replaced with suitable ones. This was my first go at scuba diving, too > a regretful trip. This trip, unfortunately, has left me with a bad taste for scuba diving.

Great scuba diving experience!

Friendly and very knowledgeable staff. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel which was very convenient! Our instructor Tomo was very funny and patient. And great price for this experience! We did a bit of snorkeling after too. Thank you so much for the experience!

Horrible

Omg. First off they were to pick us up in front of our hotel. We waited. No one came. I called and supposedly they had come, they didn’t see us and left, but the manager was nice enough to send the van back. We get there and we’re signed up for a discovery dive when I had signed us up for a certified dive. Then to top it all off, we get Lolli. The most horrible scuba master/ human being ever. Was rude to me non stop. Told me I was rude, threw my weight belt on the ground when I had put it on the bench to make it easier for me to put on. Repeatedly sarcastically told me that I was certified and I should know what to do and how to do things. Spent the first 40 minutes giving a dive lesson to the other couple in our group. Visibility was horrible, I began following another diver accidentally and she pulled me and was angry towards me. The currents were strong, she helped the another woman by pulling her to the boat. I held onto the woman’s arm and she peeled my hand off saying she was only pulling one person in. She left me. As I was getting to the boat finally, I see her taking my son back under water. I was ready to join them and she told me that I was NOT invited because I separated from the group and I’m a danger! She is the most despicable disgusting person ever. I’m a paying customer and I was treated horribly.

Safe, informative and fun

My partner and I had Ikumi as an instructor. She was fantastic and made my first time diving a great experience! When we were under the water, she continually checked to make sure I was ok, which made me feel very safe. The whole crew were so friendly. When a new diver had some anxiety getting into the water, their instructor was really great in helping them calm down. Even after we finished the dive, an instructor took my partner over to see some wobbegong sharks that another group had spotted. A fantastic experience all round.

AWESOME EXPERIENCE

This was our first time ever doing scuba diving and I wasnt totally sure I'd be able to do it as I was a little scared but Jesse was an awesome instructor and made us feel so comfortable. We had an amazing experience and will definitely do it again! THANK YOU JESSIE!

A really great day out

A beautiful day and a beautiful location. Calm water and amazing sea life. The staff were all highly trained, and shared their significant experience with all of us. They were also a really fun and supportive group of people to be diving with. I can't think how a diving experience could be any better!!

Amazing Time

The crew were amazing and so friendly, we are a family of 6 and they really helped the kids come out of their shells and get involved. Couldn't have asked for a better team to go out with!! We all had a ball and saw so many fish, Highly Recommended 😊

Highly recommend

Amazing experience, snorkelling and scuba diving, feeding the fish, saw 4 dolphins and lots of laughter. The crew were amazing especially Danny the Skipper and Captain and Lolly Pop our dive instructor. Will do it again when we're back at Gold Coast

Introductory Dive--Hard to Fault

I'm an experienced diver, but I went along on this to be with my son on his first dive. As a former professional diver, I was under strict orders from my wife regarding our son's safety--especially since I'd admitted to her that it was likely to be a rough day. She needn't have worried. The operation is safe, sligh and efficient, and the dive site was right for entry level dive experiences even though the wind and waves were up a bit. One might expect Wave Break Island to be a bit mundane (we had snorkelled there a couple of days previously on a kayak tour), but it is actually home to more marine life than many sites used in Intro Dives and Basic Open Water courses. I noticed a couple of quite challenging trainees in our group, and the dive staff handled them patiently, safely and cheerfully. You can rent a GoPro, and keep the SD card afterwards, for not much more than the price of an SD card--great value. Our instructor went out of his way to capture stills and short videos of us. My son's now keen to do a certification course, which should help keep him off computer games.

Great day scuba diving

Myself and 4 friends did the introductory to scuba diving course. We had a fantastic day learning the basics on the Gold Coast. Jack and Jax were great instructors. Highly recommend to anyone looking to give it a go.

Not as described

Based on the details listed in the website I realistically expected to swim in deep water where I could not touch the floor, through lots of different fish and corals for 4 hours. This was certainly not the case and I was left very disappointed. I didn't see a variety of fish or any corals, was in shallow water for roughly 1 hour. I definitely would not have booked this trip if I had known the realistic details upfront. Website states "you’ll start by learning the basics in the safety of the shallow water, and will have time to practice the different diving techniques, memorize the safety rules, and familiarize yourself with the equipment before heading out. Once you’re feeling comfortable, jump back on the boat and sail out to one of the island’s dive sites"..... This was not my experience. We remained in shallow water, approx. 10m from the shore and did not go back on the boat to a deeper location or different site. Obviously that close to shore is not going to provide corals, the opportunity to swim or see a large amount of fish varieties. Website states: "explore the underwater world of the Gold Coast, and swim among a rainbow of tropical fish and other marine life" ... this was not true for me, saw 1 type of silver fish with an occasional small black one Website states: "On completion of your guide, you’ll be presented with a dive certificate" - did not receive this Website states: After around 4 hours on the island return to shore, where a driver will be waiting to take you back"...... i did not spend 4 hours on the island. My total tour time was 4 hours from hotel collection at 7am to return at roughly 11am ... Time on island was approx. 1.5 hours and time in water was roughly 1 hour with some of this being safety so actual time looking at fish in very shallow water is less than that. I do not feel the experience details described my trip accurately. I had high expectations based on the description, which were not met. Maybe this was a one off or plans changed but overall I was left feeling very dissapointed after what was supposed to be one of the highlights of my holiday.

Fantastic first dive

I did the introductory scuba dive with the awesome Yuri, and had a fantastic time. I didn’t know what to expect but was guided the whole way through for a zero stress first experience breathing under water. Would recommend to anyone to give this a try and I hope to get back up to the Gold Coast for more in the future.

Try scuba diving

Excellent place to try scuba diving.I went with my son. With neither of us having any experience the staff were so friendly and helpful there knowledge and safety made us both feel at ease. Would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to try diving.

My 16yr old Daughter and Myself done a scuba dive today with Ava as our instructor, It was a really great experience, the whole crew was great. My Daughter suffers from anxiety but with Ava instructing her, she was calm throughout the whole trip and we both really enjoyed an AMAZING experience.

Great, easy, and friendly staff

I did a solo introductory scuba dive on the Gold Coast. I was really nervous going into it but it was a lot more fun than I expected. The staff were extremely friendly and the whole experience was surprisingly easy with all the explanations and assistance they gave.
