Loch Ness, Glencoe, and the Highlands Day Trip from Glasgow

Perfect!

Absolutely fantastic! So much fun and learned a bunch too! Had plenty of time to walk around at each stop and enjoy the surroundings and food.

Nice trip full of history

The trip started well with Andrew's storytelling and jokes. The journey was well designed, we didn't travel too much between stops. The sights were amazing, full of history and interesting details about their past. We enjoyed the trip on Loch Ness and the views of Glencoe the most. We would definitely recommend taking this trip.

Good but could have been better

Our driver Stevie was great. He is a wealth of knowledge and full of trivia facts. Unfortunately, we didn't get to do the whole tour as there was an accident and we had to go back the way we came when we got to St Augustus. Quite disappointing actually. I think at the least, we should have circled Loch Ness and then headed back. We didn't actually get to see that area. So, on the way back, we saw what we already saw on the way up.

Timberbush cancelled the tour with no notification.

Timberbush cancelled this tour. But didn't inform any of us about this. I only knew about the cancellation when I called Timberbush. And I had to get a full refund for the tour from Viator. David, the tour operator of the Loch Lomond, the alternate tour they put us on, was great, however.

Seeing Glencoe and our tour guide David was extremely knowledgeable about the history. David did amazing! I strongly recommend this tour.

Enchanting scenery

We had an amazing day and the guide was wonderful. Funny but not cheesy. Beautiful scenery everywhere we went and the best part for me was seeing the highland cows. This was a must for me

I highly recommend this tour, I really enjoyed it. It had enough breaks and bathroom stops. Stevey was our tour guide and he was great.

Enjoy the little towns

Our driver David was amazing. He talked for five hours and we learned so much about Scotland history. We love the little towns and shops. The highlands are so beautiful. The cruise experience was not our favorite. I think we could use that time shopping more and meeting the locals. Lock Ness cruise was not impressive

Disappointed

Returning to Glasgow was the highlight. The tour should focus on arriving at Loch Ness with plenty of time to take boat cruise and explore the area. We missed the boat cruise and didn’t have time for lunch. We were delayed because some adult participants failed to return on time at multiple early stops and it wasn’t until late into the trip on the way back when deadlines were enforced.

Fun, informative, beautiful scenery

We had a great day filled with beautiful scenery, interesting stops and lots of history and Scottish stories along the way. Our great guide made the day fun, in spite of the rain.

It was very good trip. Enjoyed a lot. The guide/driver named Simba was nice and explained the history in good manner blended with some funny jokes. Overall good experience.

Loch Ness adventure

Our guide, Simba was amazing! He was very knowledgeable, funny, and played great Irish music, the whole ride up. We loved all the stops as the scenery was gorgeous! I would definitely recommend this trip!

This was a really great, comprehensive trip! Simba, our tour guide, was awesome! He was really great at explaining the features and history at each of our stops! The tour was organized and Simba did his best to get us some extra stops despite some delays on board! I highly recommend this trip! I did a solo trip, but made some great friends on the bus! Note that if you choose to do the Loch Ness boat tour that it was 20 GBP (cash only!). This will guarantee you a spot on the tour, but it is optional - I ended up doing the boat tour, and had a great time! The highlands are GORGEOUS, and probably my favorite part of the tour! Note that is a long bus ride, but Simba made it easier with plenty of stops along the way!

The tour was really nice. Charlie was a great guide! The bus should have more leg space to make the seating comfortable.

Beautiful tour through the Scottish Highlands

We enjoyed our visit to the Scottish Highlands. Wee Davey was a great guide and storyteller. We learned so much about the area and the history. The scenery was spectacular. We appreciated being able to relax and enjoy the ride without worrying about driving. Would recommends for those visiting Scotland.

Easy travel to Loch Ness, Glencoe & Highland.

My second tour with Timberbush. We have a glooming wheather of 90% rain from weather forecast on traveling day. May not able to see the full bright of the highland. However, our coach n Driver Stuart able to share the stories of Scotland and enlighten us in journey. He is a caring and patience person. The bus arrived earlier and we departed right on time. This program was good for traveller to enjoy beautiful scenery across the interesting highland. We are considered lucky as able to complete all photo stops without wet.

Manage the Tour: Passenger Code of Understanijg.

The trip is amazing but the tour guide did not manage effectively the passengers time especially returning to the bus. I think it is important to have common understanding so we could enjoy all the sites. When passengers are late then other folks don’t have the positive experience. Also, distinguish the “Scottish highlands” versus Glencoe; tell us what to look for in the trip. Lastly, a lot of people were “over talking” the tour guide which we could not hear what was going on (I.e., this history) . The tour guide did not moderate the process for time and over talking among the passengers.

Amazing experience

Charles/Charlie did a fabulous job. Right from the time of pick up he gave us great historic insights and ensured we up to date on historical knowledge. He ensured every passenger was comfortable. He also has some great taste in music. Would have loved to give him a tip but he did not mention it at the end Will definitely ask my friends to go on this tour

A great way to spend a day!

A wonderful tour ran by a friendly, and very knowledgable guide Stewart and his knitted Nessie. We were really blessed with the weather and the views were all breathtaking! One of the highlights was meeting the lovely highland cows, I didn't know they were usually black and they were lovely to see! Would highly recommend this tour!

Visit to Loch Ness …

Cruise in Loch Ness lake was amazing . Overall journey itself was mesmerising. The tour was managed by Viator very efficiently.

Beautiful scenery, fantastic Stevie and gorgeous Highland cattle

We had a brilliant day out thanks to our driver and tour guide Stevie. The scenery in this part of Scotland is beautiful and Stevie really made it come alive for us with his commentary. Highlights were the trip to Loch Ness, where we had time to go on the boat, and feeding the Highland cattle. Would definitely recommend.

Great bang for your buck if you only have 1 day

Charlie was a great tour guide, really kept us at pace to see all of the sights :) I suggest to bring a packed meal because the 11 am lunch place doesn't have too many options.

Wonderful Loch

Steve was a great tour guide! Very knowledgeable, told fun stories, and kept group engaged! Especially had fun with feeding the cows!

Very bad experience

I had a very bad experience with Timberbush. The google map they provided and their instructions were not helpful at all to find their bus location. As a result I lost my tour bus and my day was ruined . Speaking about that with people present on the scene they told me Timberbush travellers had had the same problem always and that Timberbush doesn’t want to pay the charge to use Buchanan bus station as other companies do. I contacted them to ask for explanation but they were rude in their response and refused to refund me. I wouldn’t recommend this company for any tours.

Awesome!

We had an awesome trip with Stuart! He was extremely knowledgeable, he made sure that everyone was comfortable, he kept us entertained and never rushed anyone, but made sure we all got to see everything that the tour had to offer. Not to mention that we saw a 4 seasons in one day! We highly recommend this tour!

Incredible day!

All the locations were amazing. However if it’s possible, Charlie, the driver/guide was even more amazing. Very knowledgeable, helpful, and entertaining! 10/10!

A day tour to the Scottish Highlands from Glasgow

Great Tour

One of the best tours I've ever booked. Stevie from Glasgow was amazing, friendly and chatty (even though I bombarded him with extra questions, he obliged). Although the weather did not allow us to take the cruise, he passed by a distillery and a farm to compensate for the time. The tour did not take the full time and we only went for 10 hours and it was a tiny bit rushed, but great and suitable. I only wish we'd spent more time in Pitlochry, it would've fit the schedule.

Great day out!

The tour was fantastic, we set off from Glasgow, our tour operator David was very knowledgeable and was very entertaining, he made the tour even more fantastic, thank you David!!! It was a long day with plenty to do and we stopped at plenty of places for pictures and refreshments etc. We even had the option to book Loch Ness boat cruise ticket on the bus, so we were guaranteed seats before we got there. The ticket prices were the same as well, so it was 100% worth it. We learnt a lot about the history of Scotland and lots of interesting trivia, even a Scottish song or two! Even though there was the possibility that we weren’t able to complete the desired route due to weather, David gave us plenty of other options just in case. Luckily, the roads were good enough to travel on, so no need for alternative routes. There is no better way to explore the highlands for this price, I would highly recommend!

Wonderful Loch Ness and highlands tour

Brilliant day. Stuart our driver was outstanding. Scenery out of this world. Weather made the day even better. Recommended.

The Highlands are beautiful, but Stevie our guide made it all worth much more! All in all absolutely worth the money!

I have to start by saying that we were so fortunate to have Stevie as our absolutely wonderful guide -- and who also doubled and tripled up as our driver and resident comedian! From our first interaction in the morning to our last goodbye 12 hours later, Stevie was as charming and full of energy. I can describe the stops and natural beauty along the tour, but you can read the itinerary yourself. It's all very well planned out and gives you a glimpse of all Scotland has to offer. Highly recommend it. However, if you're booking directly with Timberbush, ask for Stevie! He's what makes it worth it! (And no, this isn't a paid ad for him, although we're waxing lyrical about him.) Stevie is extremely knowledgeable about Scottish history, culture, nature, and even its geology! He'll pepper you with a wonderful running commentary throughout the first half and then give you time to relax during the second. He sprinkles in some very very funny anecdotes as well. He makes it all so much fun, and his humour is so self-deprecating and wry that you get more than you hope for! He's fun but also very professional. Gives you space too. We've never had a better guide. Stevie's boss: he's an asset to your company, and pay him all the bonuses you can; he deserves it 🙏🏽 And Stevie, if you're reading this, thanks a million, from your friends from Nepal (and no we weren't bored by your supposed 'mountains' 😁). Great experience

Stephen was absolutely great! He was funny, knowledgeable, and gracious. He met the wants of the entire group. We would hang with him because he is so personable. The weather was sunny for most of our trip. It was a beautiful day in March

Van tour to Highlands and Loch Ness with Koos

We had a wonderful day with our driver David (wee Davey as he refers to himself) and two other couples. We started the day off with an enthusiastic greeting. David kept us informed and entertained with a running commentary all day long. We passed from Glasgow through the highlands and finished at Loch Ness (no Nessie unfortunately). He provided us with plenty of stops for photos, bathroom breaks and finally a family of three koos (Highland Cows). Highly recommend for anyone. and we look forward to doing again.

One of the best trips we have had, Wee Davy was amazing, polite, professional and very informative, loved his knowledge of the Scottish battles, and the scenery spectacular, would recommend to everyone to take this trip.

What an amazing tour from start to finish! Brian our driver/guide is exceptionally funny with a brilliant sense of humour...tour was very well organised with facts and history along the way, together with a playlist of scottish music! The scenery of the highlands is beautiful and well worth the visit! Recommended!
