Swiss Riviera Private Tour: Lausanne, Montreux and Chateau Chillon

They didn’t show up, nor cancelled beforehand.

I booked the private tour via Viator with GVA Transfers SARL and they didn’t show up on the day of the tour. I tried contacting them in every way possible, but they never responded. Viator did refund me very promptly, but all the hours I wasted waiting for them in Switzerland cannot be paid back.

Must see Countryside

Absolutely a wonderful journey along the lake. It was beautiful. We were able to see the sites at our pace. Joannis was a great driver.

Tour guide was on time to pick up. The drive was very comfortable and scenic. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Trip to the chocolate factory was amazing 😊

Worry free day of exploring swim cities and countryside

Seeing a waterfall and miles of vineyards and our driver Awtailo made the whole experience wonderful . We enjoyed him as much as the countryside.

Services not fully delivered as advertised

This review reflected the misrepresentation that the local agent made to its customers. In the description of its services, it offers private transportation and private guide. What we received was only the transportation part. The driver was kind and courteous enough to drive us along the Lake Geneva, but he was not familiar with the places or the cities on route nor any tourism info. As such, we felt we only got part what was advertised and what it was worth. The tour operator failed its job to provide full services as what it advertised.

Driver Only

It is just a driver. I would recommend as it is nice having someone drive. The Olympic Museum is a must as well as the Queen exhibition at the Casino. The castle walking tour by yourself is wonderful. We did not do the boat ride.

Not a tour - just a driver

Please read the description since this is NOT a guided tour but just a driver who brings you to each location. The only redeeming factor on this tour is that the locations you are going to are great but the money you spend for a driver isn't worth it.

Overpriced Uber

This is not a guided tour or drive, it is only a drive. Pretty overpriced Uber if you ask me. I was really looking forward to this day, but unfortunately our driver pretty rude and unpleasant. He offered no information about any of the places we visited or drove by on along the way, my fiancé and I were actually googling our questions in the back because when trying to ask we were met with such hostility. Not to mention he was a poor driver, stomped on the break regularly, and had a temper. I hope he was just having a bad day and this isn’t usually like this, but his bad day came at a high cost for us… I gave 2 stars because the sights of course were still beautiful when we got out and at least there was AC.

A private tour!

With our own driver in a lovely Mercedes Benz - what could be a better way to explore Switzerland. We stopped when we wanted. Our driver was knowledgeable and friendly. It was a perfect day.

Very Enjoyable Day

Our great driver and guide, Said, made the day fun and was very considerate. My husband and I had a wonderful and enjoyable day touring Lausanne and the Olympic Museum, Montreux and Vevey, and Château De Chillon.

The views were the best. A special thank you to the driver for making a very unique experience on my wife’s birthday!!

Underwhelmed

Granted, the weather was not ideal, but being our first visit to Switzerland, expected much more guidance and information during our 8 hr outing. Would have been more enjoyable if he’d been more informed and engaging. He enjoyed lunch on us, hopefully this was a good enough tip for our experience.

Swiss tour

We are very fortunate to have Evan as our driver which made our journey extraordinarily enjoyable. Hoping that in our future tours we can have Evan as our driver.

I have travelled a lot in my life, but evan is the best driver we have ever had. He made our trip memorable. Would highly recommend.

Spectacular and Special!

I just can’t say enough good about this experience! We felt so safe, relaxed and well-informed by our excellent driver, M. Bekim. He helped us do everything and see everything we wanted on our trip around the gorgeous lake. He knew just the right places for spectacular photos- many of which he helped take- and special treats -like an awesome lunch place. Our family is very big on photo stops, so we especially appreciated his skills and suggestions in this aspect of our adventure. We have wonderful memories, thanks to the good planning, patience, savvy parking techniques, fun attitude and charm of our GVA guide. Cheers to M. Bekim, for a great day exploring this beautiful area!

fizemos um tour privativo. Motorista foi o George, muito simpático. Apesar de falar 4 linguas não dominava bem nem o espanhol e nem o ingles. Mas compensou com a boa vontade e a atenção em nos mostrar o máximo de cidades possíveis.
